excuse me BCNU but if you ever get round to it could you please replace ur cache, thankyou!
Came to look since we were in the area, but the cache eluded us too. While possible it is still here (as there are small areas that appear to have escaped the burn), we won't really know until the cache owner confirms.
"Under the fallen tree" is now "melted under the burnt tree" although we didn't see any evidence of the melted cache, I'm just assuming since we're the third DNF.
We also took the "a little more difficult to negotiate" track.
Good exercise

I searched the area thoroughly but came to the same conclusion as the previous logger, i.e. there wasn't any sign of the cache. There were lots of signs of a recent fire though, and I suspect that the cache has either been incinerated or removed. Some locals later told me that a controlled burn took place here 3 weeks ago. The entire area is completely scorched, so if the cache was still on location I'd suspect that it would have to be completely exposed. Nice area though.
We had no luck with this one. Could be due to the exhaustion of the walk (we decided to take the hard way) or it could be that there has been a fire in the area and the whole place is pretty well burned to a crisp. Not sure exactly when the fire went through but it smelled rather fresh. Thanks anyway BCNU the view is exquisite.
[:(!] Did a night cache for this one with wife, she found it before me, took the GC and SLTNTS TFTC
tftc.sl.we had a tb that needed to go to caches which started with "H".
as we were going this way it seemed the obvious cache.

Headed out this morning with duncdonut73, kellyxley, Fiona and Julie to tackle a few caches in the Lesmurdie area, and to enjoy the beautiful views. After finding a couple nearby, we headed off to Subway to bring back some lunch before tackling three in this area. Parking nearby, we headed to the GZ and located the cache without difficulty. TFTC
Found with kellyxley, Princesses Fiona and Julie, and of course bsurin65, who was good enough to organise our day. TFTC
I suspect that we got here from one of the more difficult ways, but it was all part of the plan to find 3 in the area. Besides a bit of puffing and panting and slipping and sliding never hurt anyone did it???? TNLN and enjoyed this lovely area.
Done on our tour today. A nice Place!

Great walk today, creek is bubbling and there is a slight breeze. We eventually made our way up the hill for the find. I thought it was cool to find one of my personal coins in the wild
Nice walk but we got onto the wrong trail and had to cross country slightly to ge to the correct track and the cache. Left a geocoin and travelbug.
One of a swag of caches completed by a few addicts from the bush.
Thank you very much for the opportunity to add your cache to the list.

This cache was selected to be one of the caches hunted out by a group of Albany cachers in an attack on the big smoke. Thanks for your contribution to our day and a half of fun.
Took a long and steep track to the cache, before discovering a much easier track near the cache leading to the car. TNLN, TFTC
One of Three in the area today, a nice day for a walk in the hills.

Nice spot! My find was witnessed by two placid locals who apparently live very close to this cache. TFTH
Fantastic bush lands, we really love walking in the hills and this cache is just another excuse. The cache container is getting brittle and will soon need replacing. TFTH
A pleasant walk to a quick and easy find. Have been meaning to do this one for awhile and have finally found the time. Cooler weather today meant no guardians (snakes or spiders) but we wore our gaiters anyway
Cache was wet inside.
Lovely spot on a sunny day!

My last one for the day. Nice views at GZ especially as it was 1730 when we got there. Cache is very empty. Nothing to trade with except one toy and a small pin. Master 3 came for the walk and kept asking all the way there, "Is the lunch box this way? Where's the lunch box?" I think he's really getting into it now. Thanks for the nice walk.
Left George's Hogwild Travelling Coin, The goalkeeper travel bug and This Aint Kansas coin. Hopefully these get moved on quickly as I was unable to help in their goal due to the kids getting sick.

An easy find in a great spot. Thankfully no snake but there was a red back on the cache. TFTH
Easy find apart from Zodiakhorizon chasing the snake directly towards where I was searching.

Nice easy find. For once I seemed to have parked in the right spot and walked in on the easy route.
I used my own pen to sign the log, so had no trouble. Had I read the previous logs before attending I would have left a serviceable pen behind.
TNLN Thanks for the hunt

That was a very enjoyable hunt. As with yesterday's cache, I found the easy way to get there right after finding the cache. Unfortunately none of the pens work so the message I left might not be readable.
Thanks for the hunt,

Were off doing one of our favourite walks when we saw that a 300 meter detour would take us to a cache, so who could resist. Nice quick find by Gav. Not a lot in the cache.
Took Lisa TB, LNSL
Thanks for a nice little detour in such a lovely area. The wildflowers are blooming well and looking beautiful.

Decided to stretch the legs a bit today and set off to pick up some of the caches in the Lesmurdie area, this being the seventh of the 7 attempted in the area. Did a nice circuit starting at Lesmurdie Falls of the following caches.
Falling waters, PaddyK cache 1: Australia Day, Wireless on the terrace, Gully walk, Ghost house, Whistlepipe gully down below and Hills hide-away. An area well worth a visit.

Nice walk up the hill to an easy find. Unfortunately the cache is still having water problems. Emptied out half a cup of water and had to take away a couple of wet and mouldy items. Fortunately the logbook was only slightly damp. We put this in a new ziplock bag and the entire cache in a plastic bag as the lid is not sealing properly. Retrieved Dazzle Pup GC and dropped off Rambling SnowWolf GC. Took the last finder's card. Thanks for the cache BCNU.
Parked up on Alpine rd, and followed the trail down. Nice stroll, (Had to be carefull on the steep downhill bit) i didnt know at the time, that from the cache i would go onto Ghost House, so didnt have to climb back up. Mind you, i made up for that later,!!
Found the cache after a short search, and found some very damp contents, i took them away as they were ruined. Logbook ok tucked away in its sealed bag, which was duly signed.
Left a TB i had with me "Dazzle Pup" admired the view, and decided to give Ghost house a go.

Easy to find but cache still very wet inside needs everything to be taken out and dried.
Papa Bear was sussing out a nearby location for a new cache and thought that it was about time to get this one off the 'nearest unfound' list!
A steep but easy climb from the gully, and a quick find.
Oh, dear, it's quite wet in here! I emptied out a cup of water, but it wasn't sunny enough to dry things out so it's all still drenched. The logbook's OK, being in a bag and on top of the other things.
Took the TB, signed the log and replaced it about a metre away, in a spot that shouldn't get water pooling on it.

#2 of 3 found today whilst on a geocache-hunting expedition in the area. Nice easy find.
great day out in the hills. our bart boy found the cache pretty quick. took a toy car and left a western force keyring. great walk with a dog, but slippery in parts.
Nice easy walk or though the pea gravel certainly added a bit of excitment at times!

Enjoyed the afternoon walk in to this spot. Decided that Rolle TB had been there way too long & needed to spread his wings for a change in scenery. Otherwise TNLN TFTC.
Rated: for Overall Experience
Visited Rolle, he is well. Left him for someone who might be travelling inland towards the desert country...

This was the second cache of our WA visit. We came up from Ghost House and enjoyed stretching our legs walking up the hill. Going down was harder as we were afraid of slipping and sliding on the pea gravel. We loved the view on the way down. Thanks for bringing us up here. We took the geocoin and left a TB.
I don’t know if its my hiking shoes are not the right type or these trails or my proposition sense is poor but I had a hard time on these Pea gravels. They are small round gravels and you feel like you are walking on ball baring. The hike was easy but those pea gravels makes it tiring.
another hike for me to see how unfit i really am. turns out it was worth it with the great views.

Found the cache at 7:00PM, no problem to find. Phew! eh. Lovely view (Perth) in the night time But I will come back in daytime. T: TB Maddie's Shoe L: N, SL. Thanks for the hunt.
Parked in the right spot for this one and found it easily enough. Wandered off to finish off one of Paddy's nearby and when I got there discovered that I had lost my glasses. After doing the job there I back-tracked looking for the glasses and found them 6" from (this) cache where they had dropped while bending over. Mrs Bungarra not amused, even after telling her that I had found them again! TNLN, Dropped off Maddie's Shoe TB.
Found this one after a long walk through this area, a great place fo it to. nice spot for a cache.

Found in company with Andrew (GP), after finding the PaddyK 002 cache. This has been a hard afternoon walking up and down bl**#y steep hills and tracks. My legs were very sore from it. T: keyring and a cache card, L: 2 or 3 hat badges (pins). Thanks to BCNU for the cache in a great part of the park.
Found after searched for 15 mins. It was a good trick. Loved the view in the rain and enjoyed walking. T: clip, TB Barbara (nice surprise) and card; L: Key ring and card. TFTC, BCNU
Good walk from where I had left the car. Had to sit down on the log whilst a muggle walking her dog passed on the track.

What a maze of trails in this area. I forgot to mark my entry point so I wandered around a while trying to get back after finding the cache. T: Dr Who Pin L: TB Barbara - she has a terrific view of Perth here. Also left metal broach. Thanks BCNU - another great cache.
Found it at 5:45 PM after walking up from Gully Walk. All up a very pleasant walk with some good hill climbing. Only downside was that I came a croper on one downhill section. Nicely grazed leg to show for my trouble. Think it is about time I got new trail runners! Took the puzzle and left a alloy torch and batteries. Thanks for an interesting walk BCNU.
Who knows what we were doing but we cross countried our way to this cache. We crossed lots of tracks but we were always walking the wrong way it seemed. We husted all over the place for the cache and eventualy it was revealed but not in the places we were expecting it to be...sometimes you can miss caches so easily. We were runing out of time so we made a quick log in the book took the toy car and added the last of our "Dr who 40th" collectable badges. (Somewhere along the line we forgot to keep one for ourselves Duh-oh). This will be a very nice place to revisit in the cooler months of the year. Thanks for the nice (Bush) walk
Found fairly quickly after a short and pleasant walk in from above.
Very quiet and peaceful up here today.

Sorry, we have been holding TLC's TB 'Tigger' for a while!!! We decided that we had better get a move on... so we created a cache, just so we could achieve TLC's goal!!! Well, maybe that was TLC's plan??? 'Tigger' should be comfortable here... 17:00
