We were going to archive this cache a month or so ago but then someone found it so we left it alive. However after talking it through with BaldEd we have decided that the site is too unsafe so have decided to archive the cache for safety's sake.
A bit of a scramble due to fallen trees. There is one large and very dangerous "hung up" tree that you need to crawl under and then over to reach the cache. This 10(?) tonne monster could kill you. Be very, very careful if you attempt this cache. I recommend that this cache be archived. TNLN.
Seeker36 and i had a bit of an ordeal getting this one due to the fallen trees around by the cache. If there was a track stating to form its not visable any more. We also got served up for lunch to the flys in the area.
Enjoyed getting this one. TNLN

alot of snow damage and don't worry about that track to the cache. the fallen trees have sorted that out. took some time seeking this one out because the coordinates were a bit out. great place

First find on a Trip over to Croesus hut. GPS was well out, but there is a clear track starting to form to the Cache, which is probably not such a good thing.

Nearly at Arthurs Pass, I think its taken us 6 hrs from Chch with all these caches to find. Easy find, have been here many times. Path to cache is damaging a fragile environment - please consider relocating it to somewhere nearby.
As we needed a lunch stop on the way to the Coast, this fitted the bill nicely. Thanks Sallies. Took: Clip watch Left: Jigsaw.
Easy find without the GPS - I couldn't wait for it to find satellites, done at the end of a tramp Sphinx Saddle-Avoca Hut-Jordan Saddle. Thanks alot TNLN
Easy find, nice walk from Klondyke while waiting for the Coast-to-Coast to start. TNLN
Well Bootsie let me find this for myself but it was pretty easy. Thanks Sallies. TNLN
Found on 7.1.06. Drove to end of road and found easily after a scramble up the bank.

Indeed there is a view of Turkey Flat - takes while to walk up that valley. Cache found quickly once the Muggles had put their packs back in cars and departed the car park.
As we approached the turn off from the main highway a hitchhiker was trying to thumb a ride, he got all excited and ran acrosss the road as we indicated to turn off and slow down but sadly for him we had a cache to find up the side road. Got the car good and dirty splashing through puddles on the sideroad. Found the cache with minimum of trouble. +Ronald skier, - neon tape.
The road was a bit wet in all the heavy rain but not too tough for the mighty rental car! It is amazing where it will go. Thanks for the hunt.

Once again a neat cache by the Sallies. Found it today about 3:30pm after visiting your Bruce Stream cache. Nice location - I've started many a journey up the Waimakariri from there - but the sandflies!!!! I was being eaten alive - all I could do was to sign the logbook and run. Not even time to pick up the Travel Bug, or take or leave anything else!! Anyone else who gets to this one should be plastered with insect repellant and covered neck to toe. Yours truly, Grandalf
Dropped off Wood Hiker Travel bug sent to us from Germany. It is trying to collect hiker stick badges from around the world before returning home.
