Find#2118Dispute the rain I needed a find today and I chose this one. It was a lively walk to GZ but this is when I didnt think it was such a great selection. Very slippery and after a few falls I had the cache in hand. Cache and log in good condition TFTC
Well that was a difficult one. We had difficulty finding the stone but once we did, we knew we were on the right track. Millions of mosquitoes escorted us to the cache. Found today with the esteemed 2pods! TFTC
The walk through the bush to get here was wonderful, but then the troubles started Feeding the mosquitoes seem to be our main activity, despite all the repellent. Goldberry 17 the Eagle eyed spotted the right area, and we laid claim to the cache. TFTC!
I was delighted to find this puzzle, because my brother was obsessed with Arnold Schwarzenegger as a kid and made me watch Commando EVERY DAY for an entire school summer holiday. Little did I know that this would pay off a mere 37 years later as I knew exactly which scene would answer this question Time well spent, I'd say. Headed out to the cache location today with Buz21b and was excited to see a great cache that was packed with stuff. Dropped off a trackable too. A FP from me with an added bonus point for finding a leach on my stomach when I got home. My first Australian annelid TFTC!
Its been a while, and it seems i did not log my dnf from many years ago. I had a little trouble with those coordinates, but got it polished eventually. Approaching gz, i though it was goig to be like Sunday, when i DNF'd True Lies due to Lantana, but it was not that bad after all. After a short search, i found 1 item that looked suspicious, and after finding the container, and reading the hint, everything is still in place. Amazing after 18 years of hiding. A fair bit of unloved on it this time too. 1 to go, when i go back to True Lies. TFTC.
Tftc SteelRat, having solved the puzzle a while ago, we are finally in the area again to come and collect this cache.
Great spot to bring the kids, a party in progress .
Short bike ride to GZ where a bit of a bush bash was needed .
Cache is in great condition. Thanks for the puzzle, cache and bringing us here.

Today APCBB and I are out hunting the riddle of the rat series. Found this one on quiet morning. Was a little worried about our solved coordinates but they paid off.
Out hunting the riddle of the rat series with Dean from TeamEdwards today and success on our first one.
What a fantastic place to visit I left a little sticker on the underside of the lid for the next finder.
Cache is in excellent condition.
Heaps of swag inside

I found lots of caches on a roadtrip holiday up to Byron Bay. Over the course of the week, I targeted a variety of caches that worked towards different statistic-based goals. Thanks to all the Cache Owners for their contributions to this fantastic recreational activity.
After getting near GZ, I used the hint and photos in the gallery to narrow my search. Thanks!

A long walk in the dark. To an interesting vent. A practical joke from the kids had us all looking for awhile. But in the end the cache appeared! Thanks for the cache

The beautiful puppy geo art up Maitland way has been tempting me for months!, so when Joolay, Minniek, Fitzy_1965 and SpecimenX started to brew plans for a trip, I knew I was in. Making a whole long weekend of it, we’ve hunted down much needed counties on Friday, diverted to Jasmers, caught up with locals at events and picked up some extra cool little trails and night caches, all the while keeping our eye on the geo art prize So wonderful to have the chance to get away for some caching fun, and to catch up with some local cachers whilst we’re about. Thanks so much to everyone who has invested in these caches to make our wonderful weekend away a possibility. Thanks for the Cache.

Found with fitzy_1965, minniek, Nibletricecakes, Joolay as part of the Canberra Invasion of Maitland and surrounds over an extra long weekend
After the event this evening and having the info for this one worked out prior, we were off for the wander to collect the cache. Lovely warm night for a stroll where we saw many flying foxes browsing on gum blossoms, micro bats and heard the calls of at least 6 species of the thousands of frogs happily croaking away in what is clearly a very healthy pond!
Reached GZ and a few of the cheeky kids that were with the group decided to find the cache first and then hide it away from us adults so we kept searching for it! Little so and so's lol! They gave it to us and I stamped Capital Crunchers for our group.
Thanks for the puzzle & hide, SteelRat

Headed to the Maitland area with fitzy_1965 & SpecimenX for an extra long weekend of caching.
Day 3 saw us joined by nibletricecakes and Joolay again. After yesterday's mammoth effort we took it slow and headed up to Frying Pan caching along the way.
Time for our night event after a quick bite of yummy Chinese in Maitland. Was great to see all the 'living' locals already waiting for us when we arrived. As a group we headed to GZ for this puzzle....pre-solved of course....such a nice walk in the dark.
All caches where found quickly and easily unless otherwise mentioned. Logs were either signed or stamped as Capital Crunchers, CC, Kapital Krunchers or KK.

19,131. Found as part of the Capital Crunchers Team (fitzy_1965, minniek, specimenX, nibletricecakes and Joolay) during the Canberra Invasion of Maitland region over the long weekend.
Day 3 of our invasion. And after a HUGE day yesterday we had our sights set on heading up and getting Frying Pan for our JASMER, plus other caches as they appeared on our route. After finding Frying Pan we headed back to Maitland for some more quality caches. We stopped for a while to have a yummy chinese dinner, then headed down to the night adventure event. I had solved this one many years ago for a previous visit up this way but never got out here. Tonight was the night and it was a fun walk out to GZ chatting to the locals. Some fun at GZ and we eventually signed the log.
Thanks SteelRat !! Finally knocked this one off !

Today was the day we were heading up to Frying Pan to finally get that early month ticked off for my Ausmer. It was supposed to be an quick trip up but we ended up 4WD'ing the entire circuit after looking for a Trig up the back. And then we had a closed bridge so again a detour. So we were late getting back to Maitland to continue our cache attack. Its been a lovely day and coming to an end. Turned up for the Canberra Invasion event and ended up heading to this cache. Would loved to have walked this in the daylight but still pretty awesome at night.
Up in Maitland with Nibletricecakes, Fitzy1965, MinnieK and Specimen X, to do the Dogs Head going by the name of Capital Crunchers
thanks SteelRat

This was done as part of a group .having solved this with aussieBen sometime ago and out with the Canberra invasion decided to make the find..cache in great condition and really enjoyed the walk up from the graveyard. Many thanks for putting this out and maintaining it
Having come up from the Central Coast for the Canberra Invasion Night Adventure event, I was taken by surprise when everyone started heading towards this cache, so I just followed along for the mystery adventure and joined the queue to sign the logbook once the find had been made. Now back home, I've read through the puzzle and came up with a solution the checker liked so all's well that ends well I suppose.
Many thanks for the puzzle and hide.

Found it. Out grabbing a few caches in the minmi area today with Grub Fred and Leslea and all caches today were great including this one. I think this area was the old Stockrington pit. Enjoyed the walk through the area. This was the first cache found in this series, and hope to find the others. TFTC Steel Rat.
Find No: 7862. Mrs Grub Fred, Shaneo58 & I headed out for a couple this arvo, thanks for the cache SteelRat!!
Nice to finally make a start on this SteelRat "Arnie" series. Today, eldest geokid and I descended onto GZ after having a quick squiz at this cinematic masterpiece once again to gather the required info. Another great little stroll today for us, again to an interesting area with a lovely little trail. The GPS finally read 0m at an odd point in the scrub but we were surrounded by likely spots. A very nice cache which fitted the theme was soon located and log signed. We dipped our [Jasmer Coin](https://coord.info/TB7AXHF) and a few other TBs which we have with us, and replaced as found. In terms of the others in this series: I'll be back, Bennett! TFTC and puzzle, SteelRat.

Found with Beary_Unicorns on a sunny but very cold Sunday morning. I've had this solved for a while now, just a matter of coming for the cache. TFTC

The age of this cache is why it came onto my radar. I don't usually do puzzles.. but this one was worth it.
After a faux pas with various coordinate systems work, the checker gave me a tick of approval.
I was on my way to the Wollongong Mega.. but made the detour for this one. I parked up and trotted into the fascinating area.
I soon found myself near GZ and after investigating a few cache-suitable areas, I found the elusive beast safe and sound. I signed the log and then spent my time heading back taking various photos.
What a great area to visit and a fun little puzzle. I am glad I made the stop. TFTC SteelRat

While out doing some caches in the area decided to have a go at this one. Nice walk in the cool morning and found myself going the wrong way around the circuit but it only made it more enjoyable. Found the cache but then had to lay low while muggles strolled past.
Thanks SteelRats for giving me the opportunity to discover the area.

I was very keen to go and get the third piece of the series, which so far has been pretty solid. Nice area for a cache, however there were so many mozzies at GZ. TFTC!!! #1594

The OZ Geomuster is over.
So much fun and games and catching up with friends and meeting new friends.
I have now officially left the showgrounds and am heading home.
But of course there has to be a detour to go find a cache a cache or two ... or three ... or ... Good thing I have 5 days to travel home.
Nope, nope & nope. Looked under in all sorts of places but obviously not where the cache is.

This is not a movie I've seen but thankfully there really is only one logical answer. Then a nice walk to GZ today and a quick find! (well expect for all the mozzies anyway!)

Well I have to admit I have been putting this cache of because I did not want to watch the movie but I finally sucked it up and sat down to watch it yesterday morning, I also admit I could not watch the whole thing but got what was needed meanwhile Mr Minion loved it and watched it all. Today we set of and after finding a good acess trail we set of . it was a really nice walk along a good track the mozzies did visit but thats expected. The structure near GZ was really cool and the cache was found quickly with accurate co ords, information for the final recorded and replaced as found. Thanks for the cache steelRat tnln sl

Find #1566
After a fruitless search for an access to another local mystery, we found ourselves not too far from 'Commando', only solved maybe two years ago.... The GPS showed a maze of tracks, so we parked at the beginning, and started off. A nice cold but sunny day made for a very comfortable walk, and soon a large structure appeared, with the cache nearby.
The cache was found in a logical hide, and container and contents in great condition. The GPS had settled on 1m as we found the cache - nice! We left a couple of TBs, this should be a safe spot for them.

#198 @ 12:40PM. Solved this a while ago but never had the time to get out and log it. Today I headed out on the mtnbike for a ride specifically to call past this cache. It's funny, as the first time I tried to hide my own cache I chose the tower here. Only to find out that the location is now OOB. Anyways, I was attacked by mozzies today but managed to get the required info for the series. SL, TNLN and TFTC and Puzzle. Cheers, moto501
Anothet riddle of the rat puzzle completed, thanks for the puzzle. Did the heritage walk to get to the cache - would recommend. The cache is in good condition but sadly the trackable is missing. Thanks steelrat for the cache and for bringing me here. Favorite point from me.
Found this today on a puzzle caching run with muuggle workmate in tow 6/10
quick solve and find I was surprised to find a 1.5 meter red belly black out an about 100 meter from GZ

Solved the puzzle & headed off with a set of co-ordinates. Parked in the last car park, turned on GPSrs to input co-ordinates but both Garmins had flat batteries! Duh...forgot to pack them! Figured out how to input co-ords into the phones & set off on our mission. Really nice walk to GZ but overshot the mark & had to back track. Julie spotted our target & we got down to completing our mission. Signed log, collected clues, left TB. I hope it's not there too long! May have to come back to go on the next mission...swinging through the tree tops! Thanks for bringing us here SteelRat.

Family cache adventure was an easy find let geo kids find it and they were so happy TNLN TFTC
Been ages since anyone found this so figured it was time I had a crack at it. Enjoyed everything about this, from puzzle solve to bushwalk. Quick find on site. Left my pen as a spare just in case. TNLN TFTC FP from me for getting me off my butt
I was in the area and wanted to kick off my collection of Arnie caches, but things didn't go *quite* to plan. I had updated the co-ords after watching the film again however it's possible I had done my calculations after a few drinks whilst watching the movie. The co-ords I had come up with placed me behind some cleared space further north along Minmi Road. However when I got there this meant behind private property. I tried to find a way around however barbed wire property lines and then dense bush stopped me. As the tracks took me further away from the cache I thought I better recheck my calcs. Sure enough I came up with different co-ords. This gave me a GZ which was about 1 Km south, and I would have gone to try find it except there was thunder and a light sprinkle of rain...
Further reading of the description and I see: "The posted co-ordinates are for the main entrance." Argh! I realise that again I have stuffed myself up through lack of attention to details and preparation. So I'm wandering back towards the road, with occasional bikers going past, and where is it that I find Minmi Rd again? Right at the entrance to the Regional Park! Right near the blue marker on the map. Arrrrgggghhh!
However it was a good walk and good exercise. Watching Commando again was fun, the bad jokes and classic lines, the impossible gun battles, seeing Alyssa before she became famous. Watch for the blooper with the self-repairing yellow porsche!
Thanks for the hide SteelRat, I'm going to re-check my calcs again and out of the Arnie caches will find this one last. Cheers!

Found at 12:13 PM GAFF1. After many years of having the solution, we finally went looking for this cache as part of the "Unique D/T" challenge. We found a way into the reserve (or so we thought) by driving in, but were then confronted by a barbed wire fence about 350 metres from GZ. So nothing to do, but get out and ride the Mountain Bike down and within a few minutes the nicely hidden cache was recovered near the huge structure. Getting back was not as easy as it was mostly uphill, but that is where the "Push" in push bike comes from I reckon
That Commando movie was really dreadful, so thankfully I could work out the code, without having to watch it again
Thanks SteelRat.

2nd cache in the series today. Watched the movies few weeks ago. Starting to tick off the parts. Will have to venture out for the 3rd the series another day. So far having a blast with the series.
A nice walk to gz for a quick find. Good to do these caches which have been around for so long. This was our first of the arnie series and look forward to doing the others. TFTC.
The 4th and final mystery of the little run on the area that PPE and I did. A pleasant walk along what we realised was another of the many abandoned rail lines in this historic area. The tower is fascinating. I guess it was a water tower for the locos.
The cache blended in well but judging from the logbook, has perhaps been found by some muggles too. We signed and captured the clue for another day.
Thanks SteelRat.

Wow. I wasn't expecting that in the middle of the bush! Traded swappable. Signed log. TFTC.
Worked out the coordinates for this quite a while ago.
I had a very pleasant walk to the cache. The only person I saw was (<- palindrome) a motorbike rider.
Took photo of the clue. Now to terminator 2 and then back to True Lies to get the clue, then to the final...
Took a different path out to which I'd entered, nice to change the scenery.
Thanks for the quest!

After watchin the movie and gathering the coordinates, Sandwhichman and i set off. With high hopes we travelled along the link road and after some bush mountain biking arrived at what we thought was GZ. Searched for a solid twenty minutes before realising somewhere along the line we had gone wrong.
Read the hint again and pondered as to where the cache would be! We had ridden straight past it!!!
We narrowed down the search to two possible locations. We covered one log up down inside and out to no avail.
Then we went across to another and within seconds we realised that we were at GZ. Loved the design of this cache, very nicely done!
Thanks for the adventure and good ole' time SteelRat!

Finally got around to doing some proper maintenance on this sad and sorry little cache.
The old camo milo tin has done it's dash, with more rust than paint showing in most spots, and the log and contents are generally pretty soggy. Nothing was really salvageable to transfer to the new container, unfortunately.
The new cache is a camo PVC pipe, hopefully more waterproof, with plenty of ziplocs and goodies inside, all topped off with a brand new log book and clue.
And a word to the wise:
Bring plenty of mossie repellent.
Seriously, lots and lots. Hi-tech body armour would be good too, something with a surface electric charge of a few thousand volts just might discourage the greedy little blood suckers.
Cheers,
SteelRat.

1545 GAFF1 Finally a cache to 'lift' both of the averages - after so many DNFs!
Found the cache needing a replacement container. Sorry SteelRat, didn't have the time to fully dry out the log book, so left a replacement emergency sheet, a Ziploc bag for it, a blue pen and a Correct Site Marker - surgical marking pen.
Took: dud / mouldering AA batteries.
Brought through for mileage: Coins - 3Bros, Lighthouses, IconicBridges, B2B, Baa, Neigh Neddy and Oink, Signal 2006, Geocaching Australia 2006, 100 Finds, CITO Tag, Red Racing Ninja #4 TB, and trackable shirt.
Oh yeah, took note of the info, just not sure if I will be able to finish it.
TFTC SteelRat, it has been a LOOOONG time since I first looked at the photos of this cache and wondered about that tower.

Found nice and easy however Unfortunately the cache container has gone past its used by date and if very waterlogged I have taken a pic to prove I found it. Very nice location. TFTC
TFTC took a bit to find as we were at the wrong log. Tin is in bad condition. Code can still be read. Took info placed back
This park is going to be great when it is finished. You can even walk towards GZ on one of the new paths instead of a firetrail. The cache was soon found but if you want to complete this series, do it soon, because the only recognisable thing in the container is the code. I did write on the soggy mush that may have been the log, the lid really no longer seals at all. Thanks to SteelRat, I loved the puzzle and hide, hated the movie.
Found this one. As noted before tin is rusted and log in bottom of tin was floating in about 200 ml of water I emptied this out.
awsome park lots to do for kids and me hehe found cache first go frogs living in it very wett interisting area TFTC TFTH
Log is soaked and cannot be written in. Milo tin is pretty rusted and appears not to be doing the job.
Well, what an afternoon. After spending the last few days renovating the bedroom, I decided that I should get out and have a ride and a little 'me' time. I decided to swing by my personal cache "on Yer Bike' and do some maintenance then I thought I would swing by this cache as I had solved the puzzle a few months ago. The only problem was that I forgot my GPS however I knew the area pretty well. After riding through Old Wallsend Coal mine and past the Newcastle Council tip I finally arrived at GZ. After a little looking around I found the cache. I then followed the Vent Track back up towards the Link Rd and returned home via the Cameron Park bush. After returning home I was exhausted, 22km of bush riding and around 2000 calories.
Cache is very wet (soaked) and I wasnt able to sign the log. Needs to be maintained and best to replaced the Milo tin with something more waterproof.

With the weekend work, I had just enough time to squeeze in a couple of caches, and this one was on my closest to home radar. Parked at the nearby car park and enjoyed the wander down the trail to GZ. Once the cache was spotted, I slightly groaned as I knew what to expect when I opened it up, and sure enough, the contents were completely saturated and full of rusty water. Luckily the numbers needed for the final cache in this series was still readable, but that's about all that there was.

We'd figured out the coordinates for this one over a year ago but hadn't gotten around to grabbing the cache so today was the day.
We took our time strolling to GZ on the well maintained path. Mrs Chippyroo was more interested in the coal and rocks along the path and managed to roll her ankle on a rock the size of a small marble! She could still walk with a little pain. We soon had the vent in our sights and the cache was found.
The cache contents are wet so is the log but it's still writtable. TFTC.

Our 5501st overall find.
After having a crack at another puzzle this morning I thought it would be great to tick this one off the list too! I managed to ride pretty close to the GZ and walk the last little bit to a top GZ and a simple find. Great to get one of these old caches!
Thanks SteelRat for the cache.

Didn't have to watch any of Arnies movies to get the required numbers needed to do any of the first 3 caches of this series. The internet is an amazing thing.....
Parked the car and made a 600m walk to GZ.
Cache was found quickly but is in need off some maintenance, Had to empty the water out of the cache and all it's contets are very wet and yuck..The log is damp but i was still able to still write on it......
SL TNLN TFTC Left my calling card......
Will do the 3rd one at a later date when i am in it's area.

Found with TassieGirl while on holidays in the area.
We'd had this on our target list and today was the day for the mission.
We parked in a out of the way area (we found soon after where a better park was) and made our way on foot in to the bush.
A nice path made the going pretty easy until right at the end the local powers at be decided a little mud obstacle should be placed to slow us down.
Never fear we where on a mission so power through it we did (on tippy toes, we didn't want to get dirty) and we soon arrived at GZ.
After a short search we found the hidey hole and had our names added to the list. Mission successful.
Re the movie, back in it's day I'll admit I watched it a few times.
Who doesn't like Arnie when he's on the war path.

Worked out the coords awhile ago. Finally did a run in the area. Quick find at GZ. Loved the container. We spent about 1 hour in the area looking at the old relics, very interesting. We will be back to have ago on the course at the Tree Tops Adventure Park which is nearby...looks like fun. Thanks for bring us to the area. We will continue with the RIDDLE. SL
Donned the camo paint after working out the coorinants sneaked in under cover of daylight when I arived at gz it was wrong no tower or gully
after a quick walk found a likely looking tower and a quick recee found the stash signed log took photo of Preditor info and faded into the bush
Cheers for the cache SteelRat ..jonignite out

Ahh, the last cache before I can take the Predator on.
Well, the Commando was a challenge in his own right. Firstly I had to work out how to set up my GPSR for UTM co-ords.
It was quite the walk in, and after watching the movie last night I was in the mood for a run.
I arrived at the GZ puffed out and had to 'vent' but my calculations from last night's viewing were spot on.
Interesting structures around here and a great quiet spot. Took down my numbers, took a keyring and left a plastic bug.
Had a nice little chat with a couple of young forestry workers spraying the lantana on the way out.
all in all a another great cache from the steelrat.

We had solved this one a long time ago but we never seemed to be heading past. I had converted the coordinates back to degrees which led us to the wrong location. I changed the GPS to UTM and the problem was imediately resolved. Note to self trying to be clever is often a bad idea. We arrived at the expecte dlocation soon after. The lid on the tin is showing the signs of wear and fell off as I picked up the cache. I don't think the container is watertight anymoe so a bit of maintenance might be worthwhile. The contents are dry due to the hide but that might change as humidity increases. I great cache in an interesting location. We now have all the informaition to complete the series and I hope to do that before things get hot. Thnks for a great cache Steelrat. [655]
With the sun shining today we decided to head out caching. Marco had already solved the puzzle before we left home so we put the new co-ordinates into the GPS and headed off. This is a great area - really well set up and serviced by the look of it. We parked the car and walked off up the track. It wasn't long before we spotted the chimney - we wished there was more information about this place as it was quite fascinating. Once we were close by to GZ we spotted the cache. At first we weren't sure we could open the container but we managed. We were amazed that the contents were quite dry. Thanks for bringing us to this great place - we will certainly be back for a picnic one day. TNLNSL TFTC
Found today while out caching with brendan-m2, I didn't know about the mines in this area until researching and doing this cache
1 down.... 3 to go

Fifth find for the day. I recognised the chimney from mountain biking through the area, so I didn't have to watch Commando. It's not exactly Arnie's greatest work.
Found this one easily. Cache is dry and in good condition. AND, I didn't have to watch the movie. What a bonus!
But I did lose the piece of paper with the clues I wrote down for Predator, so I'll have to go back again! Damn!!!

Found on the way home from work at Kurri.Found pretty quickly after the walk in the rain.Thanx SteelRat
Also manged to find this without watching the movie. It is possible by doing the math. Nice walks around here also -well worth spending a bit of time. And a good picnic area although popular. TNLN
Found this one easy. What a great spot I never lnew it existed.
Arnie would be impressed with this one. Dropped off the US dollar note.
Thanks

Found this one finally. Had the solution for a while now. I am most pleased by the fact that I didn't have to watch Arnie. I love the idea of this series, just not the choice of actor. I don't know who Euclid is, but is just went through trial and error to find out which multipler to use that was still within the park. Google maps were very handy. Thanks SteelRat. I have the co-ords for the other two just a matter of time to get there. TFTC. TNLNSL

Figured this one out a few months ago and only now have gone to look. Easy find on dusk. What was that tower used for? Now onto the next one before the final. Thanks Steelrat
A bit of Euclid's theory on prime divisors and a bit of Google saw the puzzle solved and the coordinates determined. Fortunately, very little Arnie. I was also relieved to get some use out of my degree.
The last time I was over this way I was with a group walking from Jesmond Shops to the Minmi Hotel. It's an interesting place to wander around.

Was up from Tassie attending a conference at Shoal Bay and Mr red tag was fairly confident he had the coords for this cache. So I picked the least interesting session and drove the 54kms to try and find it. I also really wanted it for one of the Geosportz so the pressure was on to find it, a DNF just wasn't an option!
I hadn't read the bit in the description about the 'posted coords were for the main entrance' and we parked next to the cemetery which made the walk possibly a little longer. Once at the park a very friendly man questioned us as to where we were heading and when I pointed in the rough direction he proceeded to give us a lengthy description on the best way to get there.
Naturally we didn't remember a single word he said and when we were confronted with the 'washed out bit' we couldn't remember what he said to do there either so we turned back and went a different way.
Luckily we found our own way to GZ and and located the cache. Accessing the inside of the cache was another little hurdle but fortunately the key to the hire car solved that problem.
All's well that ends well and we loved every moment of it.

Let the games begin.
Things worked out well this morning. After deciding last night to have a go at the GeosportZ olympics game, I looked through the events and found the marathon (find a cache that hasn't been found for more than 180 days). OK, do a search for local caches to check the last found dates and there it was, Riddle of the Rat - Commando, 2 minutes up the road, just over the 180 days mark and it has a good score for the game as well.
So I quickly solved the puzzle last night and had the co-ords ready. The morning came and the mission began (had to log this before anyone else or it would no longer qualify for the marathon). So off to the park I went, pulled up in the car park and nobody else around, good start.
Then came a nice walk, simple find, check out the loot as the cache was full (but I had nothing to swap), signed the log, returned the goodies and another pleasant walk back to the car and home for breakfast, mission accomplished.
Now to tackle some of the other 29 sportZ.

We have begun the Riddle of the Rat series. Found this one with the kids. This first one was the closest to home. No dramas finding this cache, if you approach from the picnic area and find that the road has been washed away, there is a track around the washout on the dam side. Please be careful, the washout is very deep, so don't stand near its edges. We traded a slinky for a soft plastic monkey. Thanks.
This was a good walk from the carpark, wish I had taken the most direct route rather than just using my dodgy instincts and following some random track through the bush.
A few motorcycle-muggles around but found the GZ easily once I got there - be aware the ground can be very soggy after rain, I'd say the whole area is fill and spoil from old mines in the area.
Found cache still well hidden (to muggles at least), signed log and got clue. Thanks for the Hunt!
Now to plan an assault on Predator!

Armed to the teeth, with GPS and pen, I snuck past the enemy encampment, along the creek lines and into Ground Zero. My informants had given me the intel about this cache yesterday. How difficult could it be to solve the riddle. Thank heavens I didn't have to watch the movie again
With the tower taken, the cache fell soon after
"Do you know what today is SteelRat?... Pay day!"
