This one has me a little stumped but finally found it.. It needs a new container, we didn't have one to replace it with..Thanx for a great cache..Little did we know we drive past this a few years doing the Holland Track
Taurus Six and I started the day from Katanning after spending a lovely evening there last night , after a day of geocaching through the Wheatbelt yesterday. It was a very cold morning and constantly threatening to rain. After a hearty breakfast at the Dome we had a walk around the township this morning collecting a couple of Adventure Lab elements before hitting the road . Our geocaching plan for the day was to clear up caches and Adventure Labs around the Katanning area then do a circuit through Broomhill then back round to Kojonup before meandering our way back to Bunbury geocaching along the way . There was an array of different caches, and areas to explore and all in all it was another very enjoyable days geocaching .This is our thirteenth cache find of the day along with a near by Adventure Lab whilst we were driving around these beautiful back roads of the southern Wheatbelt . Track was a bit muddy but manageable once at gz we looked in the obvious spots and then found it in the unobvious spot. Once opened we were greeted by a couple of friendly spiders . Thanks for the cache find.
Gday boodies, unfortunately I wasnt able to find your cache today (Monday 22/4/2024). Thanks for the hunt anyway!
First time Ive ever heard of this treasure hunt, stumbled across while moving a mob of sheep! Did some container repairs, I think a fox/dog has tried to rip it open. Moved along the track on its journey!
We have sorta followed the Holland Track via real roads and we've contemplated doing the whole track in the future. Couldn't pass up the chance to get a little bit of it done while we are nearby. Thanks for the cache, we replaced the zip lock as it was ripped but otherwise cache is in excellent condition.
Swiss geocachers on a journey through Western Australia.
Today we went from Katanning to Gnowangerup. First we looked for caches in Katanning before we went to the multi at the Police Pool Nature Reseve. There we liked the multi through the landscape very much. Further along the Great Southern Highway we also found all the caches targeted. So we reached Gnowangerup via the Horsepower Highway. Here, too, there were still finds. Many thanks to the owners for setting the caches.

Well the time has finally come for our long awaited Holland Track trip. What started up as a weekend away for a few has turned into a road trip with about 8 or so cars. Bring it on.
This trip included some of our regular gang, some good friends and a few new ones.
Our caching community consisted of myself, Granett, Allied_OZ, Barnzy12, Cravo10, Rudi63, Rokadz, The Fitzys, ChickenHawk07, Jaxonic, McFonz and a muggle in Alan.
With plenty of plans, (and food and drink) we left Broomhill at 10.00am.
Quick park and grab.
Many thanks to boodies for placing and maintaining What no Windmills?. We were here at 10:24 am on Thursday and this is my find 8843.

Always wanted to do the Holland Track, so we did 3... only 530km to go. After doing a 100 point turn we scooped this one up on the way back to the hwy. Tftc.
Thank you! I headed out on a super large day trip to find some caches I've had my eye on, due to their age or LGA, or because they contained clues for other caches. I left before dawn and was home after sunset, but saw so much of the countryside.
This cache was on my radar due to its date placed. And it was great being able to being able to drive my 2WD Lancer down the Holland Track, even if it was only the first 800m of it.
There definitely should have been some windmills - I was afraid to put the cache down while signing the log in case it blew away.

Made the trip to Albany today to visit the State’s oldest cache. I targeted several others on both legs of the trip to fill boxes on my profile or count toward Challenge Caches. Thanks to all the COs for placing and maintaining the caches.
Harder than I thought sure to my gps going bonkers. Was a simple fine when I started thinking like a hider instead of a seeker.
Thank you : )
Thank you : )
Quick find with bigSalmon1 on way to Katanning- oh what a barren spot Waiting for rain TFTC
Touring the Great Southern using Geocachiing as our guide.
We headed out today from Kojonup and did a massive loop of some 420km. We saw some great historic locations, old schools, old halls, so much information shared with us today through Geocaching. We often say WA doesnt have the history of other States but boy you did us proud today.
Added a new logbook here.

Holland Track Adventure
This trip had been on my 'Wish List' for some years
The problem was Logistics
I had to get the timing right...…….So many Variables!
Weather
The best time of year is after winter to avoid the very worst of the cold and wet, and before the weather gets too hot in summer
We were very fortunate to get nice warm sunny days and mild nights with no rain, the track was mostly dry and the deep mud puddles could easily be skirted around on dry tracks
Company
I did not want to tackle the track on my own as my vehicle is not fully set up for hard core 4 wheel driving, no winch or high lift kit which would be advisable, especially after rain
Luckily I found a group of other geocachers who were planning to tackle the track and I quickly agreed to join in the group
Today was the day
After spending many hours the previous afternoon removing all my work tools and other stuff out of my vehicle and packing in all my camp gear, I was ready to go early in the morning
Stopping to fill up with fuel on my way out of town then continuing on to pick up my passenger Mistraluna
While we had discussed a rough plan of finding caches on the way to Hyden I was not prepared for the coming adventure that this day would prove to become
Luckily we had all day today and tomorrow to get to Hyden where we would meet up with the other members of our party
On the way we stopped to top up with fuel and headed for our first cache of the day
From the fuel station we drove east to Pinjarra then on Pinjarra - Williams road, through Dwellingup, continuing east until we reached the power line road just past East Boundary rd. We made a left turn here and started heading north
The road was quite good and I did not need to use 4 wheel drive
I was thrilled to see a great number and variety of wild flowers along the roadside which I had not seen before
Our journey continues
Day 8
Today we have travelled from Newdegate roughly following what is left of the southern section of the Holland Track, picking up lots of caches along the way
This is the second last cache before the completion of our Holland Track adventure

Visited this one for a second time as my companion on this epic 8 day adventure, hadn't found this one before today. We travelled the entire length of the Holland Track and then some, all up covering over 2500km I believe. We had an amazing time out there, but the adventure has to end somewhere. Just one last one to visit now to complete his caching trail along the Holland. Cache container was broken, so replaced with a new one. Thanks again boodies
I am down south again for the second weekend in a row, this time with the Geoson for a bit of a boys weekend. Stayed in Bunbury of the Friday night then headed for Walpole for night 2.
Headed home via Albany.
Themis one fills a gap on my hidden date. Quickly found. Container is very very brittle.

First for the day as we leave Katanning and head south to Albany. Our GPS got very confused here and had us accessing this cache from the completely wrong way. Ignoring it we continued down the main highway until we came to the dirt road to access this one.
We passed the cache until we found somewhere safe to turn the campervan and then grabbed this one on the way back.
It was a quick find in the obvious place but I do wonder about the suitability of some swaps after what we found in here.
Thanks.

Found quickly in a great hiding stop. Will to complete the rest of the track some day. TFTC boodies
In my way home from Katanning decided to pull in and pick this one up good quick find TFTC
Last cache for the HT for me for this trip. Next time I'll start at this end and finish in Coolgardie . Thanks to boodies for the cache.
Down in the Great Southern area for another caching foray. Our intentions had been to head over to Esperance and Cape Le Grande, but stars just weren't properly aligned, and the weather was looking pretty dismal too, so shelved that plan for the time being. Oh well, still lots of great caching to be done without venturing quite so far from home base. Headed northwards today, with Katanning on the radar, along with others along the way, including this one, which I almost forgot to log. Clever name too. Thanks boodies
Found during a day trip around the Great Southern today. Nice big cache and an easy find. Retrieved a Geo Coin which was not listed as being in here. TFTC and TFTH
Driving back to Perth after a weekend away in Albany with cravo10, grabbing a few caches on the way. Tftc
