Found This place is wonderful!!! So pretty. I think we picked the coldest day of the year, but so worth it!! TFTC!!!
Found it during a nice week end starting at Sunny Corner then along the Turon river.
The road to reach GZ was a bit rough but the view once at GZ was awesome. Perfect for a good lunch.
TFTC +1 favourite point for the view.

Wow, what a top spot! We stopped here on the way home from a night in Hill End and ended up having our picnic lunch here. Super views! Whilst Mrs H made lunch, I clambered down in search of the cache but came away empty handed. After lunch Mrs H went for a look and of course put me to shame by her more adventurous climbing and instantly finding the cache in it's hidey hole! Fav point awarded, TFTC!

On a trig seek run through the Winburndale Reserve with rogerw3 ...
The awd GeoReindeer took to the roads through the reserve far better than expected, with the track in fair condition after the recent rains. With the intent on the the trigs this cache was almost overlooked.
Thankfully, a last minute view at the Geo map and there's a cache just a hop along from Eskdale. Under a clear blue spring sunshine an easy drive to a green clearing turnaround and ...
WOW!
That is an extraordinary outlook, the distant for sure, but also the expanse of rock cast along the ridgeline. So much different from anywhere through the reserve, indeed different from anywhere else sighted within the general area.
Time to soak it all in, then on for the seek ... a few level changes, and then a rogerw3 'Found it!'.
An example of caching at its excellent best! Thanks for the cache, Froggy 346

Out and about with whitemushroom today, we were very close by checking out the nearby 'Eskdale' Trig so we had to make the effort to find this cache.
What a great place, we had no idea this was there, that is what geocaching is all about.
A bit of head scratching got us close enough to the cache to figure out how to get to it, thank you for a great hide.

We came to Bathurst for the weekend for two main reasons. First, we wanted to attend two events being held in celebration of the Leap Year. Second, Canary wanted us to accompany him to find this cache.
We went to the first event, a dinner at the Bathurst League's club, the night before. Toriaz and I camped south of Bathurst that night and then met Canary in the morning in the McDonald's car park at Kelso. Our intention was to find this cache and then head back to Bathurst in time for the event. As it turned out, with estimates of time kindly supplied by Code1 the night before at the event, we easily made it back to the event in time.
We found a few caches on our way north, and then took the road we'd all travelled in the last few months for the TRLT series. Eventually we took a turn onto the road to this cache, a road even less travelled, and eventually made our way to within 30 metres of the cache by car.
The views at this spot were great and we could getter a better impression of where some of the roads followed the ridges. The coordinates were spot on, and once at the correct level, it was an instant find. A favourite point from me for the location and the fun getting out to it.Thanks for putting this cache in a great location.

I've spotted this one on my GPS on a few previous visits to this area, but had no idea how to get to it. So when Canary said he'd done some research, and were we interested, I said yes. Bikerbuddy kind of ignored our plan making, but did pay attention to Code1's advice at the first invasion event. He then consulted his own GPS, and announced that it had the tracks we needed marked.
So after a few stops for a few caches we had left unfound on the way, we made our way up Horrible Road again. We soon found the turn, and had a fun drive along, dodging kangaroos all the way. Some of them seemed suicidal! We made it to about 30m from the cache, then had to walk the rest of the way (life is tough sometimes ).
We enjoyed the views briefly, then settled down for the serious business of cache searching. We dropped to the right level and made a quick find. Then we settled back for some more serious looking at the views until we felt ready to run the kangaroo gauntlet again. And we made it back to Bathurst in time for the morning event!
Thanks

Found in the company of Toriaz and bikerbuddy.
The definite highlight of my weekend's caches.
Wonderful views as far as the eye could see and a scramble for the easy find.

Loved the drive and the kids really enjoyed the view. Definitely one or our most memorable caches, gets a favourite from us. Took Photo with supplied camera, looks like it has 1 or 2 shots left. Great cache, thank you.
No problem at all driving right to this one. What a great spot and the views are spectacular!! You can even see Mt Canobolas in the distance. The rock formations are fascinating, we loved it, one of our favourites. We saw a goanna and many wallabies on the drive in but no Wedgetails today. Took photo with supplied camera, what a good idea. Thanks Froggy 346.

This was one of my first XTrail adventures: I took the hard way in!
This was one of my first XTrail adventures: I took the hard way in!
On reviewing some local caches, I find that I've forgotten to log this one.
And how could I, given the adventure of getting there? I was putting my new X-trail through its paces and took the 'hard way' (down through the creek and back up) to get to GZ. I wasn't sure I'd complete the return journey as successully (although I was thoroughly impressed with my 'xy'), but luckily the other track in could probably accommodate even a sedan, if you were desperate. Loved the serenity at GZ, and the ability to look back to Bathurst. Took a photo, and hope it comes out! (great idea!)

Well what can we say that the drive out here was worth it. On Friday 9th we tried to do this cache after finding Phone with a view cache but what happened is a thunderstorm came through & it bucketed down on the way out along the track. We made the decision to turn back & continue onto Sofala, which in the end it was a good decision to make after retrieving cache today the terrain rating would have went up to 4 ½ at least. This is a top lunch / camping spot & a top view to boot. I must thank rogpol log – which in the end helped me in the end to locate cache. TFTtopC / TFTchallengingH / SL
Found on a 4x4 trek in the area. Great view towards Bathurst. It was the perfect day, sunny and no wind.
Took a foto with the cache camera what a good idea.
Took a small toy car, left a cute little duck and also a "Stripey Street Cat" path tag.

What a great place for a cache. The rock formation is something special with mosses of all types creating interesting colours, and don't forget the view.
On sunset, with a dark sky and the sun streaming through on the rocks and surrounds it was very serene.
I'd recommend that those who are unstable on their feet take care at this cache. The ledge adjacent to the cache is not very wide.
Access is down a green path created by erosion a little to the south of the cache.
Take special care in the wet !!! [8)]
TFTH
Took requested photo (reminder me of my geokids "myspace/facebook" snaps)
BTW the red geomobile is still there... just. It looking a little bare with a changed shape and specks of rust.. I wonder why

What a top spot, stopped for a picnic and enjoyed the tranquility. Took TB, left some AA,s and a cd from my mate budokan in NZ.
CD called music for a big back yard, by music from the edge of the world. Good tunes that budokan had put together. Perfect spot for it. TFTC.

After an intresting drive in along some of the 4WD tracks we arrived at GZ. What an amazing area. Nice views towards Bathurst but the wind was cold and strong. Found the cache with ease and did the duties.
Took requested photo.
Thanks Froggy for showing us the area.

Rocks abound quite unlike those of The Hawkesbury area. Great location. Took the required photo.
I had no idea what to expect when I drove up to this one. I was pleased to see I could drive up to it. The I was amazed by the rock formations. Finally I was awed by the view. What a great way to pass an afternoon.
Pretty easy find. This is one of our most favourite spots, and to find a cache up here made it even better. Took the phot but left nothing.
This cache has resulted in us being honoury Scenic Routers members. lol!! We took the hard way to retrieve the cache, when the Routers told us the right way they just laughed. Lucky all that sunlight we get caching has made us thick skinned. LOL!
The views are excellent from the cache site. Took some pics, signed the log and started the cool journey out of the park. We managed to 'mud wash' GroundForceOnce too. Cool!
Thanx guys for a cool cache.

Team Stilllookin arrived at this one at about 16:40 in the afternoon with Tevo making the find. We were rewarded with a beautiful sunset but a wicked bit of navigation to get out in the dark trying to dodge the logging areas and not going all the way over to Mt Horrible. We have had several picnics at this place over the years and never tire of the views. This was our first time here at sunset and it is well worth the visit at this time of the day. There were no Bogon moths or Flies here today but the Wedge Tail Eagles were putting on a bit of a show for us though.
Took toy tonka car Left rope watch.

What a view! Was here a few days ago and placed a cache within 40m of this one, not realising there was already one here. Fortunately I didn't list mine so it was retrieved today while looking for yours.
Left magnetic key holder, took toy pistol.

After an excellent drive from Sofala via the Turon, we stopped in here.
Very nice views from here and very unusual rocks. No moths today, but it was home to a billion flies.
Very nice sized cache, was quite surprised and happy to see a good sized cache as they seem to be getting smaller all the time.
Happy New Year from Team Webguy

One of our longest and more difficult drive bys. We did the Scenic Routers thing and got to it via Mt Horrible. We were rewarded eventually when we got to the cache location by the wonderful views and fascinating rocks. Took butterfly and left pistol. Thanks Froggy 346.
Interesting place, excellent views but toooo bloody cold to appreciate them. Found a dumped car on the track just near GZ.
Was surprised to find GZ totally covered in moths, photos dont really show it but there were 1000's of them. Anyway they werent too happy that I'd disturbed them. Did my swaps and was out of there quick time.
Thanks for another nice spot.

Well Well Well...got some late mail from Twisties who rang and said my little pulsar will have no problems!!
We did end up getting there... had to ditch Jims laser hatch after some mad bottoming out.. but the pulsar surged ahead jumping fallen trees and rocky terrain saying "I think I can, I think I can"
good spot ...had a picnic in the 300mph gale.. took Lisa Isabell Millie Jim and Gabby.
left my swap in the car and was never going to go back to get it!!!..so i took everything and threw the bucket in frustration. (almost)
might heed the 4wd warning next time!

We figured this was a good way to spend ANZAC day, 8 of us loaded into a 4WD and looking for tupperware
We did this one by the arrow as we were not prepared with our usual maps. We ran into a few obstacles until we eventually found the right track. Until we got there this one was all about the journey, but once we arrived it was all about the destination. This is a great cache that has every aspect covered, right down to the cache itself, good trip and gorgeous views!!!
We explored around and eventually headed home, with 4 of us hanging of the side of the 4WD. Thanks for fantastic cache.

I don’t know if it’s strictly a 4wd track...it would be recommended, but if you had an old paddock basher you could easily make it to the top What a great cache!!! Didn’t know quite what to expect, it was only when reaching ground zero that it all clicked, rainbow rocks and views to boot!!! What a spot...thanks Froggy
Very nice area and great views. Nice hidden area. 4wd definitely recommended. Took a photo, was going to do what Froggy's daughter suggested but decided not to.
Took : Booya ball

Are the coordinates for the cache correct? They are a very long way from the coordinates for the turn off.
