This was absolutely gorgeous today with all the snow, We do not like writing negative comments however we have become very disappointed with the number of DNF’s we have experienced during our holiday in Tasmania. It seems as if we have had more of them during our time here than in all our time caching. We understand that sometimes it is difficult for the owner to check caches immediately, however after a string of DNF’s surely the cache should be disabled to save people wasting time looking for something that is probably not there. Having said that, we have had a great time in TAS – you have a beautiful state, and thanks for all the caches you have put out.
There was an obvious hide under the step but no cache. Not a bad view ona clear sunny day!
Wow, fantastic spot, and lovely views. Very atmospheric today with mist below and cloud above. Unfortunately no cache to be found Cheers Gav
The mother/grandmother of the madchilli team found this cache today purely by accident, she was walking up to the lookout when she spotted the container and thought 'I know what that is', she has done a bit of caching with us before and signed our name in the book.... so I say welcome aboard to our newest team member and lets add that one to the tally. Rehid the container a bit better TFTC
I really liked this cache,
It was rather spiffey.
Now to continue down the hill,
and check out the falls of liffey.

How often do pass without stopping. Did this time and got the cache at 1256hrs Great views. TFTC. The cache is in desperate need of a new log. Didn't have one with me though - sorry. Cheers OldSaint.
An easy find on our way home. We had to scramble to hide it before some muggles came by, and then discreetly cover it a bit better while they enjoyed the view. TFTC.
Found very easy. It was just sitting on a tree trunk on the way in ????? upon opening found a note from muggle who had accidently found it. Read discription and clue and hopfully placed back in correct spot. Left nothing took Chistmas peg.
We were on our way north and noticed we were passing a view point and a cache, so snagged this one on the way by. Weather was windy and cold so didn't dawdle. TFTC.
An easy find and a perfect day for our trip around the plateau. The waratahs are a picture. TFTC
We've stopped here before but the weather today was really good.
Quick find. TNLN.
thanks

Nope, didn't need a jumper. Fine and warm!
I like bagging these 'older' caches, log books filled to the brim with finds. Nice easy find it was too, though I did walk right past it without even looking in the most obvious place first.
Many thanks, great view on a great day.

found on the trip back from ulverstone to hobart, using jameswat as my gps

A qick dash to locate this one. minus five degrees howling wind and sleet. Ground like an ice skating ring. BRRRR!!!!! Shame about the lack of any sort of view.
oh my golly gosh! it was freezing and windy, and icy and did i mention scary? but all things aside cache was found, tftc
Found on our Tassie tour with saraci.jaee and Indiana08. Icy, blustering winds nearly blew us off the lookout. The structure was frozen over and very slippery. Great view.
Took coin, left green dice.

A touch of snow about today and thus the view wasn't good. We decided to call it "snizzle" (snowy drizzle). Found OK. T tiger, L candle. Swapped coins. SL Thanks
Nice quick one. Placed geo coin took card. I loved finding the card after my previous dnf!

a commanding view from this spot, sadly didn't have required time or energy to complete nearby cache
Got this one after nearby Projection Bluff and Pine Lake. Were quite a few muggles about so had to be quick. Lovely lookout, thanks.
Made a slight detour to this cache after visiting the Liffey Falls. I really loved the alpine feel of this location; just that cooler air, the slightly desolated feeling and not least to mention it was extremely quiet with the rare exception of one or two passing vehicles. Great views as well. Can imagine that there certainly would be some snow here in Winter.
Also a quick visit for some TBs.
Thanks for bringing us to this great location.

It's easy to drive past these places without stopping. Thankyou, we enjoyed the break, the viewand the cache. TNLN.
Final find for the weekend.
Someone should put a cache on nearby Projection Bluff.
Many thanks.

Been past this spot on the walk to liffy falls and return and from the falls up and return. However claimed this on a driveby returning home from Hobart. TNLN Thanks
Found at 1020 hours, before I drove down to the falls to take photos, Great views from here.

Covered in snow, it was like a little snow garden. The cliffs were so beautiful sprinkled with snow.

Our first snow of the year!! [:-)]
Wow, what a scenic place place with snow dusting the mountainous rock bluff behind us and the crisp snow free cliff opposite the lookout. We loved the path down to the falls because of the abundant snow draped over the trees and along the track. Boy CEyre loved wading through the snow, at times it was waist deep. The spectacular views from the lookout were magic with crystal clear skies.
We had to dig the cache out of the snow but the contents were in good condition.
Thanks Energizer61

I am sure the view is terrific. Cloud stopped us from
seeing it.
The hint made the find quick.

On our way home from the NW event we stopped to find this cache.
It's amazing how quickly you find a cache when the temperature is incredibly cold.
The cloud was thick and we missed out on seeing the view but the hint was very helpful and we made sure the cache was hidden well when we put it back.

Lovely lookout, wouldn't have found this one without the clue as the GPS was sending us down the path. PS very chilly and cold
Thanks for the cache.

Stopped off after a visit to the Liffey waterfall. Unfortunately it was a dull day so the view was quite poor but I can imagine very good on a clear day. TFTC.
Stopped off for this one on our way to Deloraine. What a lovely spot and views. Introduced some junior cachers to this one.
Screeched to a halt when I realised this was probably where this cache was (didn't have GPSr turned on!!!), road was a bit different to how I remembered and was heading down from the Lakes before I'd realised where I was. Sure enough, 80m back up the road! Popped back and enjoyed the stunning views, found and logged cache. Not too windy or cold. Thanks energizers. TNLNSL.
Couldn't resist not stopping here again to feast in the spectacular scenery from this lookout - even more splendid now it is covered in snow!
Awesome! The BEST drive by ever even tempted by th e walk but we are on a coin grabbing mission.
Last cache for day, found just on sunset - and view was spectacular. Amazed the sign post doesn't advertise this great lookout just a short walk from the road. Easy find.

a great cache to do after doing "you've got to be joking" loved the view, will come back and do the walk to the falls from here when it isn't so windy, have never stopped to see the view before, TNLN, TFTC,
Another great spot we would have driven straight past, if it were not for caching. Our GPSr had us 15m down the track, but the clue helped. Muggles have found the cache, but were good enough to sign the log book and put it back. Tok plane and lots of photos, left Bart Simpson. Thanks Energizer.
this is great fun. this is our 3rd cache. I think we are hooked. Great view from the lookout. Pencil needs replacing. we would have left a pen but it would not fit into the container. Took dog. left card.
happy caching

Great view, the day wasn't the warmest but it was nice and clear today. We grabbed the chance to pick a heap of pepper berries while we here, they're only ready for picking for a few short weeks and you don't want to be late or all the locals will have them. Nice cahce. TNLNSL. Thanks for this one.
[B)]Grrr. Couldn't find this one. Must've been right under my nose. Anyway, it was a nice place to stop and have a look around.
Great view although clouds starting to close in. Trusted the GPSr for way too long in the cold - resorted to hint - I'm sure I looke there the first time .. TNLNSL thanks
Went up here expecting to go to Liffey falls but I was wrong. Never rely on me for navigation.
Found th cache easy enough having walked through the remnants of the snow. Excellent view, took bear left shower cap. Good one Energisers.

The first find on our holiday trip to Ulverstone. Its quite scary how after a while of caching you have to travel almost 150 kms to find a cache. A very nice lookout and an easy find. Took Buzz Lightyear and left a plane thanks Energizer.
Found this one while killing time. Our 4WD club vehicles have just come over on the boat, but we still have to wait for the rest of our group to arrive, so while they are all waiting back at camp . . . .
No views from here today, it's very wet and foggy.

My second try at this one, as my last attempt during September was in the middle of a blizzard. Stoped for this one with Hingrock while travelling to a meeting just up the road
Been past this spot many many times before but never stopped. Have seen the view from other nearby spots before though.
Was travelling with Digit Dick to a meeting and was a bit early so decided to grab this on the way past.
Had no swaps today so TNLNSL
Thanks Gizer

Yay! Craigrat helpfully pulled the car up here for me so I could grab yet another find on my sucessful day of caching. What a great spot. Loved the view, was a bit hazy today...but will return on a clearer day sometime soon I think

Decided to walk Liffey Bluff with the olds who have a walking group. When Dad said "The walk should be easy because the book said so". Off we went at 950 am to walk over to the bluff. Well 3 hours later after achieving the goal of getting to the very top of the bluff at 1190 metres and having navigated up a 45 degree scree slope and the field of rocks (which lend themselves towards a moonscape effect), all we had to do was turn around and walk back to the lookout[xx(] Luckily I had found the cache nestled in its hiding spot at GZ before we left as upon return I was too tired[|)] I have the gps waypoints if anyone is interested doing the walk!
This time the gps was spot on thanks to the help of Craigrat and Teamkittens, and I went straight to GZ. Cache was well hidden and suffering no ill effects of the climate.
Took baby rattle and left a Buz Lightyear figurine
thanks to Energizer!!

Found on a very wet foggy day so the view was not that great BUT the Cache was....
A round trip of the Highlands brought us to this location, us meaning myself and a fellow workmate who was keen to have a go at this "Caching"?? Thats what he kept saying when I was explaining it to him so we both decided to kill two birds with the one stone. I give him a taste of Geo-Caching and we also checked out the LACK of water in one of our fishing holes, The Great Lake...
I think he really enjoyed the hunt for that "Hidden Prize" but time will tell if he gets hooked... LOL
Thanks for a great day, YES, this Cache added to what was already a great days outing.. )

Well...
It wasn't snowing... and it wasn't blowing a gale... and the wind wasn't that cold to have a jumper on....
BUT it was nearly dark! Found at last light with the help of my mobile (which didn't seem to have any signal? Dunno why that is). And besides, Mother was sitting in the car.....
TNLNSL and checked out the view - amazing how far away the house lights actually were.
Thanks Energizer

Oh boy was it cold up here today!
I've only been this way a couple of times in the past, so I couldn't picture where this one was, I just had to go have a look. Turns out to be in a spot I'd been to before, it all came flashing back to me as I parked in the car park.
The wind was howling from the SW and snow was starting to fall, it was at the stage where the snowflakes were dancing in the wind but not really landing anywhere - really added to the atmosphere of the cache.
Found reasonably quickly after a couple of false starts. TNLN and I think I enjoyed it, the mind was too cold to think straight
Oh and when I got down to Andy's Bakery in Westbury and looked back towards where I'd been, it was well and truly snowing, timed it well I'd say.

this one was very clever, and it has a great view but on this day it was a bit foggy so we could only see about 20 kmit would be good on a clear day.
Wow! Another superb view!
It's been many years since we've been around this area and we were totally amazed at the amount of shacks that have sprung up over the several kilometres further back down the hill.
It was also interesting later, when we were down in the valley heading towards home and looking back up to where we had been. We hadn't realised that we had been so high at GZ.
Thanks Energiser for yet another great cache!

Hehey! First FTF for Team Tiges in a while!
Top choice of location for a cache Mr. Energizer. It was pretty cold and wet up there today, but it was still awesome! The view was great. Capt. Tiges thought it was great too, although he was a little perplexed at the sound of his bark echoing off the side of projection bluff.
I haven't been up there since I was a kid, thanks for bringing me back Team E. We plan to return and venture on further when the weather is better!
Took - Post-it Notes.
