Reluctantly, I'll have to archive this one. Multiple DNFs, no response from the cache owner, and no response to a request last month.

Given the logs over the last few months this cache is probably missing. I'll disable it for the moment. If the owner is unable to perform maintenance shortly it'll have to be archived I'm afraid.

Does this cache need to be archived? It would be neat if it could be up and running again as it is a great spot for visitors. Hope it can be. Linleye.

16-Mar-06
Had a good look round in the evening, had no luck finding this cache.

16-Mar-06
On a business trip to Wellington - and a quick circle of caching through the CBD, had two goes at this during the evening with Callum & Brenda. Four of us searched and searched, reviewed the clues from many viewpoints, but did not find it. No muggles around on a dark but mild autumn evening, so were able to lift, poke, peer in lots of places. Perhaps an assurance that it is still there would be good. We look forward to a comment.

Another miss too.

I figured that it was under the tree and searched the whole lot but nothing obvious. As this is a really populated spot at lunch hour I'm thinking its not improbable that some nefarious lunch time visitor may of discovered it by mistake – and whipped it.

Had a good hunt round in this lovely spot on a beautiful Wellington afternoon. Sadly we couldn't find it at all. Used up all our geocaching logic to no avail.Sad. Linleye.

By reading the logs from November 6, 2005 by Naf - we are now pretty sure we searched in the right location.
Would you be able to check if this cache still in the same place? We're now out of town, but thought of following this up. THANKS!

[Spent quite a while searching for this one.] About the Clue - is it to the right OF looking straight ahead towards the building, or is it on our right as we face the building?? [Can the owner possibly check if the cache is still there seeing as how there are quite a few DNFs now?]

13-Feb-06
Double-Dang!! Missed this one just like Gothic. No a good night so far Sad

06-Feb-06
I have not found it even after 3 tryes... damned!

[Dissappointing. Met up with the Early Rizers and all searched. Used the clues and were positive we were right on the co-ords, but no luck. Went back and searched again later, but still no luck. Have looked at spoiler 2, and now think we weren't in the correct place, even though GPS was spot on. Might try again tonight.]

We opened every grate we could find, and even searched in the big air grate between the two stands of trees. Have looked at spoiler 2 and am now very confused. It shows Cabbages Trees?!?! These were nowhere near the co-ords, but were right over by the library. We were right by the building mentioned in the clue - the tree on the right. Were we even in the right place?

Tagged along with the Jacksons, but alas, as hard as we tried, the four of us could not find the microcache. Will have to try again some time.

Took a while to find, many muggles around. THX.

Greetings from Finland! Woohoo, my first found cache in NZ! I had to cheat and decrypt some of the add. hint to be able to find it. Funnily enough, I had already searched the right place before that, but my hand just didn't hit the right spot. TNLN.

05-Dec-05
Found early in the morning on a cold, drizzly day - not many people about! TNLNSL.

Found after a short hunt - in Wellington on a school camp - what a great city
Introduced the school kids to geocaching - they were keen to look for more - but no time !

06-Nov-05
We looked reasonably hard, but so many muggles around, it was a bit hard to look very thoroughly, and then we had to rush off to catch the ferry..

[Went back to this one on Sunday Afternoon as far to many Muggles to do this during week or lunchtime. Found location and cache without GPS (still saving ). Took a bit of thinking to locate it .Clues a little bit double meaning / confusing.] Building is Wellington City Corporation building. Not a grate would call it a very long air intake or vent grill on the wall

Looked for this one but I was unable to find it. My fault for not reading or bring the clue with me. Damn!

25-Sep-05
Tried in the sunny morning but that was a no go with so many people around. Came back around 10 in the evening in the drizzle, and there were still a couple of ladies sitting out talking! Had a good look around, and thought I'd found the spot (and the hint seemed to point in that direction too) but nothing to be found. Noted a sticker on the grate - Parliamentary Search Service. Wonder if they'd beaten me to it. Will try again next time I'm in WLG. Cheers Gav

It was good to finally nail this cache as I had made several stressful visits previously when it was AWOL.
Today, Sunday I hoped for easy parking (forlorn hope) and I did not know about muggles, but yes they were there in spite of a chilly wind.
In fact there was a TV crew with camera pointed almost right at ground zero. Luckily we had my grand daughter along and we let her wander along, steered a little to the right area, when thankfully I was able to grab the cache under the pretext of grovelling for dropped coins. Luckily I was out of shot for the TV and the camera was not running as far as I could tell. The crew were watching the sky for the right lightting I guess. The surveilance had stopped for the return of the cache a few minutes later.

GAH! Silly cache. Went once, no luck. There was a girl lying on the grass reading a book, and I think she thought we were loopy.

Read clues, went back. STILL CAN'T FIND THE BLASTED THING. Three of us with clues couldn't find it... aghh!

This one took abit of finding and was cunningly hidden away. Lovely day thanks TNLN SL

07-Aug-05
Found it finally. There really aren't that many places it could have been so I'm not sure what held me up. Cheers

31-Jul-05
confirmed this guy is still there

"Hey, I've got a good idea! Let's go and look for this cache at LUNCHTIME, when the Michael Campbell PARADE is on, the MAYOR is there and there's an ORCHESTRA playing!"
"Yes, genius!"

I actually laid eyes on the cache but just too many muggles about to pull it out safely. We'll be back for it another (more well chosen) day.

25-Jul-05
Search for a while under the different sun, but didn't find it, and didn't got time to search further..

20-Jul-05
Had a little trouble but found it.

We love what they have done in this area - there is so much to create interest and atmosphere. Especially liked the sea to sky word play. Thanks for a great cache.

Nice easy find. Weather has held off for most of the day so it made for a niceish evening hunt. Definately better than sitting in the hotel room. Knew where the sun was so just had to find the stash.
TNLNSL Thanks for this cache.

11-Jul-05
Very nicely hidden - I was about to give up.
Having just read the previous logs now, with the replacement notice, I can guess that where it was previously is where I was expecting it to be.
I don't see how the hints give any help at all though. Especially not at night...

06-Jul-05
Despite having two muggles with me we were unable to find the cache. The area has recently been trod by many Lions, but it may just be well hidden. Will try again when there are less people around.

26-Jun-05
Hi Team
Have gone back to this cache and moved it to a slightly less muggle prone spot about 2m from the original.
It may be alittle more difficult to find, so have updated the clues - Happy hunting.

24-May-05
Checked cache today, it's gone. Probably been muggled since it's in a muggle prone spot

23-May-05
Two in a row I will check this out this week at work.

21-May-05
Paid two visits to the area and failed to find. Used the clues and homed in on what appeared to be the only hide but found nil.

12-May-05
Sorry, not missing anything with the spelling of the name, I overlooked the typo Sad
Have fixed this now.

07-May-05
Didn't have spoiler photos, which probably would have helped, but 5 of us followed the hints without success.
PS Am I missing something in the spelling of the cache-name?

My first North Island cache. Came up for the a day's "rest" and did a few caches. Lots of muggles about ...but a great cache. I took the dollar bill to move on!

Nice One

FTF and a great place for a cache but diffult to get because of the busy location. Came looking on a weekday but too many people then. Today I had to wait for muggles to leave the immediate area before having a look. + NZ 10c

14-Apr-05
Was in town for the day and thought that I would annoy the locals by attempting a FTF. Arrived here at about 9.00 am but unfortunately there were too many people around to even contemplate a hunt where I wanted to look. I also suspect that this is harder than it looks given the lack of logs! Very early in the morning might be a good to to attempt this one?
