as it hasn't been found for a long time and a few people have found a lid I think this one needs archiving
we had a look and found a lid in the obvious place. but we thinks its gone gone gone.
Had a good look around but came up empty handed. Nice view from GZ though.
Might be a good idea to give this one some TLC.

our last one for the day, very exciting mountain climbing, move trackabel to here, PC0MBP, will have to ask our guides how to log that??! what a wonderful use of the internet!!!
Headed out this afternoon with geowife while the grandparents looked after the geoson. We initially stopped down the bottom of the hill at the other cache but a muggle was fixing his bike right next to ground zero so we could not have a search at all. He actually gave us directions as to hwo to get here so we came for a look. After enjoying the view and counting 16 ships, we started our search and after a short while I had the cache in hand. The log book is damp, but otherwise it is a great spot for a hide
Thanks for the cache Map Monkey
We took nothing and left nothing today

Found this afternoon. Very windy but nice views. Took butterfly and left zebra. Log very wet and binoculars are unusable. TFTC
Binoculars well past there use by date. Cache has been full of salt water by the look of it.
We looked everywhere and couldn't find the cache. But dads geocache team (gribbo71) found it. Turns out we looked right were the cache was but saw nothing haha TFTC was good.
Lucky for us the sun was out and there was no wind. First time for about a week! Anyway no whales but cache badly needs attention. Log book is very, very wet and needs replacing.
On my first visit to Mackay to visit the other half who is up here for work so didnt want to miss the opportunity to grab some finds out of NSW! What a great view. Found this one after a little searching. Thanks Map Monkey!

Definitely not for the faint hearted. Loved the location. Too windy for whale sightings today. TFTC TNLN SL Cheers,CSCat
Took it home and dried it out. Binoculars don't work but left them there. Put journal and binoculars in zip lock bags. ?
Got followed around the point by a couple of very suspicious muggles, they were at fish and chips waiting for us to leave before the moved into GZ. They then both followed us up the hill to the splat. We walked down the path to the wooden bench and yes they followed??????????????/ we sat there for ten minutes as they were pointing in all different directions. They finally left and we got down to looking only to read that the cache was down getting repaired. hahaha. oh well maybe next weekend. Really nice spot though Thanks anyway
Found with Geobuddies JasmineAlderton and KindleVonPulse. Cache requires maintenance. Everything sodden.
Unable to record in logbook.
Binoculars have heavy damage.

Found this cache with fellow GeoBuddies KindleVonPulse and ForsakenChapter. Cache is badly damaged and requires immediate maintenance. Couldn't record our visit because the log book was sodden, will come back when cache has been repaired. Great location and beautiful view. TFTC! =)
Found today. Cache FULL of water unfortunately and every thing is very wet. Drained the water out but needs maintenance.

Wasn't sure if I should be walking where I was to start with but thanks to the cache page it made it clear I could.
Only spotted 17 ships out on the water (without the optical aid in the cache). A great view away from the crowds.
TNLN, Cheers.

Just as a side note for anyone coming here for the Travel Bug...The T/B that was meant to be in here is no longer there. Frustrating when people don't log that they have the T/B. Checked back through the log to see who took it, but can't remember the name of the team that took 2 travel bugs.

Brampton Island was visible through a light haze, as were a number of ships. Otherwise it was ocean, and the cache was a reasonably quick find, thanks Map Monkey.
Found after a brief search in fading light. A fantastic location the watch the waves crash against the rocks below. TNLN and TFTC.
Found at 12:10pm. A nice walk to the viewing area and we sat and watched the line of Bulk carriers on the horizon, twelve in all we saw. Found the cache and used the Binoculars in the cache to watch the ships. Replaced them as required.
A lovely spot to sit and watch the world go by. Thanks for bringing us here.

After a little scrambling, we found this cache - our GPS was marking us about 15metres away.
Took TB Myrtle & Yurtle - the turtles are going for a trip inland soon.

After some careful searching managed to find the cache. Its good to find the occasional decent size cache box. A big thankyou for the use of the binoculars. Much appreciated. It was a quiet day today. Only sighted 35 ships lined up at Dalrymple Bay. Took the keyring and dropped off the fishing lure travelbug. Thanks Map Monkey for placing this cache.
Nice easy find with great views. Dropped of TBs/GCs as this is as far South as I am traveling this Easter break. TNL TBs/GCs SL TFTC
I asked my kids what they wanted to write : We found it (jock,5), a great geocache (paddy, 7), "fire truck" (thanks Charlie!, 2) TFTC!
Wish I'd brought the climbing gear !! Mrs Temingi got a history lesson from a nearby homeowner while Temingi and Qldwarrior found the cache. TNLN TFTC
Found at 12.00 noon GAFF1. Now this is what we have come for - the view up here is just exquisit and rivals any view from the Mediterranean Riviera. We had to put the Patrol into 4 low to get up here - with the van on - that's how steep it is.The cache was found quickly because finally we were given some accurate co-ords - thankyou!! , however we didn't notice any glasses in the cache.
No whales passing, but there were at least 25 ships lined up out there - what is that costing the owners while waiting we wonder? Oh well we suppose it is passed onto us in the end.
Went to the other lookout before departing to take some more photos and enjoying the balmy clear weather - this is truley paradise if you can afford it.
Thanks Map Monkey - this will be a memorable cache from our experiences.
ps - what does "Splat Wall" mean to most of us? Is this where abseliers crash?

Well we found it, but the hard way! Having the family with me, and a desire to make easy caches a bit more of an adventure we started at sea level on the northern side - BIG MISTAKE! For some reason I had decided the cache req'd climbing down to and preferred to climb up rather than down. Anyway, of team Puddler set - Mr and Mrs Puddler, Jnr Puddler (4) Miss Puddler (2.5) and Junior (6months) followed in hot pursuit by k9 1 and 2! Around the headland we went - all good until 150m to go to the cache and things started to get a bit trickier. Now we are not new to climbing but with the young family not the best idea. Anyway, after I ferried them one by one over the harder section we made it up to the top of the headland no closer to the cache than we started. Easy walk from there to the cache and yes, it's at the top - no climbing req'd. I keep thinking "The practice recoveries here - hope they don't need to use that practice today". As is often the case, climbs are often worse than they look but anyway - all good once we decided we'd gone to far and I walked them out one by one. Mission accomplished however - the easy cache was made hard but all had a good time regardless. Particularly Miss Puddler who for some reason decided that picking her feet up and allowing her father to carry her by one arm over the rocks was hilarious! Once at the top of the headland - at the lookout, I accidentally interrupted a couple in an embrace... "Sorry" I said and moved on quickly head down. I couldn't help smiling however because I did notice a small pink box which led me to think he had just proposed. judging by the embrace, she had said yes! Resting in the cool of the trees close to the road they walked past and she was positively beaming - ear to ear grin which just confirmed my suspicions. Too far away to confirm the presence of a ring.
Anyway, great spot and enjoyed doing this one the hard way. In the end it was an easy find and we put the cache back out of sight. Took, scooby travel bug, LNSL,.

With a bit of help from gerrynewgirl this cache came to hand in a rather precarious location to say the least. The rocks were slippery and the weather was ordinary but I did manage to count 18 bulk carriers out at sea. TFTC Took Nelson the Koala TB and left a token.
Beautiful day with 13 ships waiting out to sea, swapped travel bugs. Tks for the cache
Found OK on this wet and windy day. Could see only two ships. Cache was a bit damp but otherwise OK. Thanks Map Monkey. Dropped of T/B but entered in correct name in cache log. It is correct in geocaching.com
This is our first geo cache find, thank you. Have taken what we think is the finger puppet, (small lady from south america maybe) didn't leave anything as cache was quite full. Oops have just been doing a bit of research and found out that if we take something we should leave something of similar or greater value !!!! Sorry it really is full though, we will slip back and place a dragonfly charm in it one day soon to make up for our mistake.
14ish ships, a bit hazy today so even with binoculars it was hard to see. Cache and contents all high and dry. Great spot. A tad blowy though made us hang on !

Took geocoin only left yesterday! A very popular GC. Left a belt buckle.
FYI the binos are still there and working. Easy to find as there are large signs (heaps of footprints), tried to hide as much as I could. Perhaps a slightly different hide may be needed if traffic increases.

Found @ 3:45
Only 2 ships waiting today.
Found fairly easily, even with a family of muggles having a picnic nearby, as the cache is positioned to provide visual cover from most directions.
A well setup cache in a beautiful location, which truly dwarfs the nearby lookout.
The binoculars are a nice touch too.
Took nothing, left a geocoin.

After a week of sailing the Whitsundays , we had to wait for our flight out of Mackay Airport.
