Searched a while for this one. Found it finally:) Wet and dirty inside the box.

One of us is more eager, younger and rarely givs up. So this day as well - and she found the boks. Unfortunately was it dirty, all wet and nasy. Difficult to open and impossible to "sign". I took the "Dor Ladsch" - but could not bring myself to leave my norwegian greeting in the trash. Sorry.
The place was nice - but I can not understand that you put a cache under a tree in a place you know is wet and rainy. Sorry to say.

First time we took an attempt at this cache we followed the wrong trail (we were without gps) and ended up doing a long and beautiful hike but no geocache! When we returned to our car, we saw our mistake but it was getting dark so we could not undertake another attempt that day.
But we were not to be defeated! So on the first day of the new year we tried again! We took the right path and ended up at a beautiful place, the waterfall did not have much water in it and it seemed to have been like that for a very long time because the whole basin was covered in fast growing plants!
We really enjoyed finding our way to the vegetation up to the geocache!
What an adventure and what a beautiful place! Thank you for letting us discover this amazing location!

However not all was good news because when we found the location of the geocache, the first thing we saw was a travel bug lying on the ground, this turned out to be "Spyde's Wedding Bug". We looked around found the geocache but sadly no other Travel Bugs. The might have also been lying around there but as said before the whole place was overgrown with vegetation so it was very hard to find anything in all the green. So we are sorry Senior55 but is seems that TB "Paradise Key" is lost in paradise...
We left the TB "Dor Ladsch" behind and we wish it safe travels!!

Drove the rental car relatively close, but then hiked the wrong way, ooops. Eventually made it back to the car and headed in the right direction. Coords are way off, cache size is a small at best, but eventually I found it. Not much water here today (See pic). TFTC

TFTC: what a fun hike, even saw an eel in the pond up top!!

Bonne chance !!!

Cache was not difficult to find, in a nice location. Can get very slippery when wet.

We rented a car and drove around the island today and this was on our list to do. We turned down the street after the hospital and bridge when heading east and drove by the school which was the correct road. At first we were not sure but after driving slow on dirt road a man told us to keep going to get to the falls. We parked in the small lot on the right and then took the road on right up to the cache .3 miles away. It has not rained recently so the trail was fine and not very slippery. We made it to the falls and everyone had gone home, we were alone. I hiked up to the spot and was glad to make the find on this one. I picked up a Travel Bug to move it along. TFTC Smile

So sad we did not find this one. We think we found the tree, but no cache around.
The hike was tricky but it was fortunately dry. We were very thankful that we had our hiking sticks. They helped a lot in getting up and over the rocky spots.

Happy coin!

found with tea05, gogata, and rocky jorge on our joint honeymoon(s).

hiking to this waterfall was my favorite part about my trip to Moorea, thus if you're in FP, you should not miss the opportunity! plus, we made a few slimy friends in water below (wound up not swimming as planned).

bring mosquito repellant! Smile

TFTC! Found it with GoGata and RockyJorge.
We rented a car and made some stops around cooks bay during the afternoon. This was the last stop on our excursion, and by far the best. The access road is tricky to find, as there are no visible road signs or markings discernible to a non-local. We finally lucked into the right road, and parked towards the end of the road that was passable in our Chevy Spark. Passed by a soccer complex and Police station before parking.

The hike to GZ was unbelievable; through thick forest and involving 3 creek crossings. It had been raining, so the trail was slick and muddy. Lots of rocks to clamber over... All four of us thought that the terrain should have been higher, at least 3.5. The end of the mile or so hike made it all worth it, as we exited the canopy at the base of the waterfall and walked into the water basin. Watch out for the eels! We saw four, and they were not afraid of us. I volunteered to climb up the rocks towards where our compass pointed, and fought off the Mosquitos and loose/slick rocks. Once I got to GZ my geosenses pointed me right towards the cache. SL TNLN. Thanks again, definitely one of the best caches I've found.

My wife and I were aboard the M/s Paul Gauguin celebrating our 15th wedding anniversary. Fifteen years previously, we stood in front of the same waterfall while we were on our honeymoon. We enjoyed the hike and the memories. Left three Ms. Pac-Man geocoins. TFTC!

#618 On the last day in Moore's, rented a car and drove around the island. This was the last stop before the 430pm flight to Papeete. Started the walk from police station, which added an extra km to the hike. It was an awesome and adventurous hike. It rained that morning so the stream crossings were really flowing and the track quite muddy, so it was really quite the adventure. The view of the falls was amazing. Looked at the trees from the side of the track first. Then realized it's on the other side! So crossed the stream on the slippery rocks, then clambered on the tricky slope and searched at the base of the tree. Found the hidey hole and realized it's past 3pm already. Quickly logged the cache and took some pics of the falls and had to run back on the track. It was an awesome adventure!

What a fantastic hunt. The site is just awesome. Was hunting with PFTRA and young muggle friends.
PFTRA found it easily. I had my iPhone to lead us and as we were signing the log a huge pour down came upon us and we were wet through and through. I used a inside out side turned lolly bag to keep my iPhone dry. As we were already wet from the warm rain, we took the opportunity for a dip and stood under the waterfall like a shower. There were no TBs in the cache, I had some with me to visit.
It was a fantastic experience and deserves a point

Point favorite, MPLC!

...But not, just a zip lock bag, But the waterfall was amazing, as was the journey to it, as were the local kids we played and swam with that gave us a French lesson

Good found at 11:30. But the cache was not hidden, the Zip-bags and the tin were empty and all things inside were away. I put in a new logbook and hid the cache. The cache needs a new box, the old is dirty and rosty.
I'm not sure, what happend. If the cache was muggled by locals, may be they will come back and search again for the cache until they will find it. So I did not put in a TB or GC. Let's wait some time.
Thanks for the GC at this great location. We made a nice cycle ride to here from Opunohu Bay, where our boat is on it's anchor.

Off the ship "Amsterdam" for a day in Tahiti. We decided to join with an Australian couple and my sister to take a trip over to the island of Moreaa. Rented a car and drove as close to the cache as we could get, then hiked in through the "jungle" to find the cache. Our friends declined to take the hike!
After a bit of hunting around, we found the cache, hurray!
Thanks for the cache.

Read the last few logs, and they were very helpful.
The road in starting beside the sports center is unmarked, and gets progressively worse. We stopped after bottoming out in the rental car... but had to continue to a turnaround just past the first water crossing. The trail was slippery but no problem with directions and the gps seemed to confirm we were going the right way. Took 45 min round trip from where we parked the car.
The waterfall is just like one would imagine being on a South Pacific Island.
The last bit was very trecherous and glad I and Plus Elle brought good boots, as the rough ground was hidden by the folliage. Dropped one TB. Thanks for the cache in Tahiti. After DNF'ing earlier in the day it was good to get a find here on our trip across the Pacific on Cruise ship ms Amsterdam.
