WP1 and calculation for WP2 all went according to plan. I can assure you that the coordinates for WP3, the final, are at WP2 - I did have a chuckle when I found them! On to WP3 for the cache, but I had no joy there at all. A good search around, revealed only one spot that seemed to match the hint (that I resorted to) and that was both 25 metres from the co-ordinates and no sign of a regular size cache. Never mind, I had a good ride on the geocycle to get to WP2, and a good walk from there, not all was lost in spite of the DNF.

Success today with an easy find at WP3
Thank you Dankpig for leaving some random letters and numbers on their log Smile

17-Jul-16
The puzzle at WP1 was quickly solved and lead us to an obvious location but despite our best efforts we didn't find the cache at WP2.

28-Apr-16
Thought I'd try my luck a 2nd time after felix11 left a new container. But the horseshoe opening was down for me AGAIN!! I still couldn't find the wp2 container. Sad

11-Feb-16
We could not locate the container at WP2 so that brought us up short.

11-Nov-15
Found an excuse to journey up to Greens Beach to hunt down this recently resurrected cache - thanks to FelixII. WP2 proved an easy find so set off for the hike along the beach. An excellent multi, thoroughly enjoyed the experience.. thanks..!!
04/09/2016... After monitoring logs on this cache it would appear the final WP has gone missing again... So how about I just throw up some seemingly random letters and numbers..

Travelling around Australia and now in Tasmania!

Well what an interesting day we had out in the GeoCruiser.

Not sure that we approached any of the caches from the 'direct' route and some of those gravel roads we ended up travelling on 3 times. [:o)]

Well having read the previous logs we approached waypoint 2 apprehensively. Sure enough no idea. After using PAF (lifeline) we had the final co-ords so Mr Felix set off on the hike to see if the cache was still in play.

Woo Hoo he found it so back to the GeoCruiser and we have placed a small container with the final co-ords to help others continue to find this cache at a nice location.

Got to wp2. But couldn't the container Sad

29-Sep-13
We got to WP2 but could not find any container for the co-ords for WP3 Sad

10-Nov-12
We found it after a long walk and lovely views. Thanks

A fun multi. The walk to gz was hairy! Very cold and very windy, but we survived. My geo partner left a moveable in the cache (Secret Frog).

09-Mar-12
We took a while to find the container at wp2 and were a bit concerned about the new seat perhaps being part of the hiding spot but once we had the gz coords it was a pleasurable walk to the cache. Lovely today. thanks michaels mob

22-Jan-12
Found today with Hec and the G. Took toy soldier, left pencil. Thanks for a great multi.

05-Nov-11
A pleasant walk along the beach, took some time to find WP2, but again Jan's female eyes worked. Cache is wet, drained some water out. TNLN. TFTC.

12-Jun-11
Nice stroll along the beach and back. Beautiful winter's day. Left yowie dugong, took Philosopy of caching. TFTC.

17-Apr-11
Thanks for this one, great day for a walk along the beach with the Tassie Trekkers. The boys walked & the girls sat on the beach & looked beautiful. Smile TFTC, which was rather wet. Dried it out as best we could.

17-Apr-11
Cache hunting with Triumph Twins, a beautiful day at the beach, geo hubbies strolled to Gz, we relaxed on the beach. TFTC

20-Jun-10
After being unsuccessful in finding WP2 earlier this year, we returned today, found WP2 and went to WP3 to complete the find. It was a beautiful winters day for a walk along a lovely beach. The bonus was that we met some people we hadn't seen for a number of years taking their daily walk along the beach - really rewarding chance encounter. TFTC

20-Mar-10
Enjoyed the walk along this beautiful beach, thanks Michaels mob.

27-Feb-10
Hot day and a long walk... Tide was way out, people swimming etc.

Easy find when I got there though. Just follow the track made by others. I suppose I added to it as well.

Thanks.

13-Feb-10
Worked out the co-ords from WP2 at the end of January, but because it was so hot then and we couldn't face the walk we postponed the hunt until today. The weather was much cooler thank goodness and we enjoyed our stroll along the beach. We even worked out we step around 130 steps per 100 metres. The things we do to pass the time. Took a whistle & left a soldier. Thanks michaels mob for another enjoyable cache.

Wpt 2 found without hassle this time.
Glorious walk along the beach and the cache quicly found.
Glad to have put this one to rest!
Many thanks.

17-Dec-09
We had intended to do some serious walking today, but the weather was a washout so we just drove around geocaching instead. Got the first two waypoints without too much trouble; thought we might have to give up the final one though as it was a bit too far to walk in the rain. So we went and did some other caches, and the weather cleared up a bit so we came back and went for a beach stroll. A nice cache, thanks.

24-Oct-09
We visited WP1 and WP2 a week or so ago, but the weather wasn't promising for a stoll on the beach. This visit the weather was much nicer, and the stroll was pleasant. We had to pick our way past a wedding party on the beach just near WP2 to get to the cache.

WP1 located and information sourced easily. WP2 located without too much trouble. WP3 was a little too far from the car for us to venture today as there were some very dark clouds approaching. We'll have to take the walk down the beach another day.

Beautiful beach. TFTC

Well what a day chasing this bad boy

After starting this one and ending this one after 3hrs or more.
We finally got to the prize

Got to wp1 nice and easy

Got to wp2 NOT THERE....so after seaching finding the arrow
and phoning a freind we got wp2 and headed to GZ BUT after a walk and a look around ph'd the freind again and geeeeeeeeesh he gave me the wrong coord's....got the right ones and we were outta there.

Signed the log

Anyway when we returned to Wp2 we rewrote and replaced it in a new micro container back in the same spot it should of been.

And headed home......lol

Replaced WP2 in new micro container

all is well

30-May-09
Not looking forward to a beach walk as the wind earlier was cold and sharp. But off we set after finding the 2 waypoints and before long we were shedding coats. Not a breath of wind.Took ockey strap left Jeans for gene day badge. Good clue.

23-May-09
Found wp1, did sums over lunch at the picnic tables, then on to wp2 which was found without problems due to a good hint and then off for the 2k return walk along the beach. It was blowing a gale but the sun was shining making it a reasonable pleasant walk. Good hint at wp3 soon had this one logged. TNLN Thanks

19-May-09
Had a bad start to this cache, I had already worked out WP2 ages ago but forgot so I was at wp2 trying to find wp1..... started all over again and ended up in the same spot but now knowing what I was doing. A nice walk that I did heaps of times as a kid when we used to camp at Kelso and come around to Greens beach. Thanks MM

31-Mar-09
Did this one in stages over a couple of days by the sea side. It's good to have a little effort associated with a find and the beach walk was a real bonus. Great views of the surounds and lots of fun chasing crabs along the shoreline. Left small puzzle in honour of the larger one just completed and took nothing. A satisfying find. TFTC

Found this with Tasman09, good thing he was with me, as I didn't believe I had calculated the coordinates correctly, but we got to WP2 - and sure enough there were the coordinates for WP3. Although after reading IF's log just before we set off - I said '2.5 kms!!' and Tasman09 said 'yes, we have to walk back as well Red Face. But an absolutely fantastic day for a walk, thoroughly enjoyed it. Cache found easily and enjoyed the view.
Took Travelin Taz, will move him on soon.

Thanks heaps for this cache Smile

01-Mar-09
The longest walk I've had to find a cache, but fantastic scenery, and what a cache! Very exciting!

11-Feb-09
I completed most of the walk yesterday afternoon and found waypoint 2 and the final coordinates for the cache Razz
But after all the seaside strolling I had already done I decided this one could wait until the morning Big Grin
With the dawning of a new day I set off along the beach from the south to stroll the 2.5 kms to GZ Smile
The tide was low, I didn't realise it could get that low [:o]
So I had a nice stroll along the sandflats, watched by the occasional wallaby up near the high water mark.
GZ was reached after a leisurely half hour or so and the cache was an easy find with the clues help [^]
I dropped off TAZ TB.
A largish ship appeared and I watched it cruise up river as I headed back to the geomobile Big Grin
TFTC and walk.

Good multi. It all came together well had good coordinates and a nice relaxing walk. Very enjoyable.
Thanks michaels mob

Went for an afternoon drive and ended up in this neck of the woods so jumped at the opportunity to do a spot of maintenance on our 3 caches in this area.
WP2 on this one has been the biggest hitch on the last three attempts so headed straight there. The small container at WP2 was still there intact but I can understand how the last two cachers that have attempted this one may have struggled to locate it. But in saying this, there was no need to “poke around in that fairly fragile area†because all that was needed to prevent this was to read the clue for this WP.
Have ‘done a bit of work’ to the spot the ‘small’ container is located but if you use the clue then you should have little trouble in locating it.
Also took the very relaxing stroll to the cache and found all in order, safe and dry.

29-Jun-08
Decided to give this one another go.
Looked around at Wpt 2 for a good 40 mins but left feeling frustrated and disappointed.

28-Jan-08
Couldnt find Wp2.
The coords I got pointed to dunes.
Didnt like to poke around in that fairly fragile area, so had a quick look only.

07-Oct-07
Got coords for WP2, but couldnt find container. Good walk
along beach though.

08-Mar-07
Given how far away I live I decided to do some work from home. At wp2 I spent several minutes searching before finding the obvious location. The tide was out so the walk was easy and before too long I had found the cache exactly where indicated by the clue. Nice walk and a lovely spot, thanks michaels mob.

27-Jan-07
after a dissapointing start we decided to head for the beach, first find for the day, great multi, in a great spot,

15-Jan-07
Dropped in on this Cache for a Maintenance check……

Have replaced the Cache at WP3 as I was unable to find my ‘own’ Cache!!!!!
All I could find was a dead shark close by…..maybe he ate the Cache and chocked on it??? Anyway there is a fresh new Cache just a short distance from the original spot which has been updated at WP2

Took a bit of caculating, after that we enjoyed the walk, fantastic, well done guys.

I actually remember that Iron Barron running aground, we were still living in Tassie at that time.

Left calling card and signed log.

25-Apr-06
What a wonderful place it is here. Not bad for a multi.. The Geokids and I enjoyed the walk and the scenery.

14-Apr-06
Found at night after being chased along the beach by a wombat, I have been told they can actually run into you with enough force to break your legs so I high tailed it quick smart!!! Found after a bit of a forage but GPS was a bit out tonight with the heavy fog.

Lovely walk first thing in the morning as MM was cutting down lots of trees back at the 5th birthday bash.
Found cache after short search without clues. TN L another bounce ball.
Thanks MM

What a great day for a walk. Haven't been here for awhile. Met up with Snuva at GZ. TNSL left the obligatory frog. Thanks for a lovely walk.

05-Feb-06
Started this one the day before, however we were too eager to see the real michaels mob, so headed off to the Fifth Birthday Bash.

Next morning we picked up where we had left off. We had just been wondering how many of the recent footprints had been added in the past day or two by caches, when we realised that there were some frog marks scampering in and around two of the sets of footprints - and there was T of the DD Ts!

My slaves joined them in their hunt while I offered Flig a ride on my back; he's such a great jockey I was almost sad when the slaves finally found the cache and it was time for flip to supervise the log signing and swapping for his team

Great cache, michaels mob, and great company, DD Ts and Flip!!

24-Jan-06
Dropped in on this Cache for a maintenance check after reading last log.
Changed the container and bags inside so should be able to handle the elements OK now.
Thought I better have it in good condition for this coming weekend as it might get a few visits we hope…

23-Nov-05
Such lovely spot - lucky MM. Finally found WP2 after going back to car and getting notes - doh, it's a multi and then non plussed until brave enough to stick hand where sun doesn't shine. So onto the cache. if you hurry everything will be ok - the cache has rusted through, ants looking for water in it. The swap bag had hole in it and damp, but the log is fine. Rebagged took TB and Parrot L map and first aide.TFTC

26-Jun-05
Great Multi-cache...a nice walk on a nice day....still trying to workout where the X marks the spot was!!!took chalk & left bouncy ball

24-Apr-05
Always keen to do a Mob Cache, I set out with Energiser and Horus to do this one.

Had an interesting time at wp2, where it had recently been used by some chaps as a rest stop , but fortunatley not where the co-ords were hidden.

Had a nice long walk in the twilight to the cache.

Found by Energiser first (AGAIN!!)

Enjoyed the view over to the lighthouse and out to the river mouth.

Another good one!

Thanks Michael's Mob!

Left swaps in car (buggered if I was gooing to go back and get em!!!) so had to TNLN.

24-Apr-05
Thought we'd give this one a go after doing "Shag on a Rock", after all how hard could it be? Harder than we thought because I don't think any of us read the description before we got there!!

Anyway once we'd provided the locals at the shop with some entertainment with our confused bickering about 697 metres, 7.1 kilometres (yes that's 7.1 kms!), 710 metres etc etc etc, we headed off to WP2. Where as CraigRat has already pointed out, a car full of burly blokes had decided to have a rest stop Sad Looked in the only spot they didn't "mark" as theirs and was really really happy to find the cache and the WP for the final cache.

Won't give too much away, but it's a reasonable walk, one that probably shouldn't be attempted after the sun has gone down, but what the heck, we strode off down the beach on a mission. I'm Glad we weren't there earlier in the afternoon because I had no interest in meeting the creature that had left behind the footprints we found Sad

energizer pulled off his magic again! TNLN because my swaps were back in Edward, who was busy speeding off back to the clinic after Bastvet got a call out. Thanks mm, another enjoyable cache.

24-Apr-05
wp1 was a problem for me, couldn't figure out why wp2 was 7.9km away, till I realised I hadn't started the gps & it was assuming I was still somewhere else, raced horus & craigrat to wp2, but they won that one too, as rentacars don't seem to slow down for speed humps, ok beaten to the find at wp2 by horus after I started scratching way too close to some suspiciously yellow sand, yuck!
OK, I looked like a fool at the first two wp's, but who found the cache?

this was a great walk at dusk, highly recommended. TNLN, as darkness was approaching fast.

thanks Michaels Mob.

23-Apr-05
We already knew the year that the Iron Barron came to grief, as the male half of WW was involved in the towage at that time. We found WP2 a couple of days after this cache was listed, but we didn't have the time back then to seek out the actual cache.

This area has to be one of our most favourite beaches in the north.

Thanks Michaels Mob. Smile

23-Apr-05
Dropped off Egg on a String TB and picked up Maine Lobster TB.

16-Apr-05
FTF. Just beat Cached in the run along the beach by about ten metres.Whens its a FTF up for grabs you take no prisoners. But I did let her find the next two. Not bad for an OM.When the sun is shining and no breeze you cant beat a walk on the beach and thats what we had today.
Interesting multi cache and a good hide.
TNLNSL. Thanks Michael.

16-Apr-05
After doing the math, which took way longer that it needed to because I insisted on using algebra instead of logic, we proceeded to WP2 and collected the coords for the last waypoint.

Luckily our searching skills were switched on today because no amount of looking turned up the arrow in the clue - luckily the answer is more important than the question.

The funniest thfing was watching robtas and i running up the beach trying to be first to find. The sight of a 50 something man and a 30 something large woman running up the beach was in the least humorous!

I let him get bit ahead, figuring that he'd never find it anyway, but i was wrong.

FTF to Robtas, closely followed by a just so slightly puffed cached.

A great cache micheal - thanks.

Took roller pen, left scratchie.

Left TB Maine Lobster to ponder the ocean and maybe to find some Tassy Crayfish.

A quick visit for Teddy the Travelling Turtle.
