WP3 is no longer a car related spot and the numbers are gone from the building. The cache also sounds like it has wandered off.
On a mission to get at least 4 multi caches today. A DNF is unwanted. I had issues with the coordinates but resolved them. PAF'd a previous finder and spent a vast amount of time looking. Must be very well hidden if it's still here.
Good luck to anyone trying to bike this one! I was by the airport and thought I'd give this a go, or at least start it. Like any cache dog with a cache bone. It had to be completed now. Got the first number and plugged the next WP in. Hmm, I wonder. Cool number in hand. Next WP, what's there? Ah, makes sense, keeping in theme. Final number were calculated and plugged into GPSr. Hmm, looks goodish. Oh well, I can make the trip home a loop. If all else fails just carry on... Arrived at GZ and looked like it suited the theme and clue. Headed straight to hint object and was disappointed as not to find it. Hmm, searched around the area at other possible spots. No joy. Sat down and recalculated the final. I was right. Went back to original spot I started searching and found it!!! It was back a bit and covered in lush spring growth. The cache was soaking wet. Log drenched, back to the car for a replacement log and bag. Dried out best I could and replaced with new log. Thanks for the fun multi. Once again good luck to you bike riders, pack a lunch and some water.

Finally had an opportunity to get to GZ to complete the paperwork today as this had been on my target list for some time. Took the opportunity to survey some of the damage in my old stomping ground from when I used to live here. TFTC
Finally got around to finishing this one after starting a few years back b4 Feb 22 2010. Found my notes from way back and got a few more in the area with ecfam and wee_cacher_Sam. Cache rather wet inside, gave it a shake and wiped some more off. Took 2x TB's. TFTC
BTW - this is my #500 Cache wahoo... took a fair while to get to that. ;o}

After finding the first was easy - moved onto the second... the Information was on the item behind fences - so made it a bit more difficult to find the information needed.. but did then went to the 3rd co-ordinates - only to find the road closed from about 800mtrs away and about 2km the other way... Got the info from a friend
then foudn the final Cache!! YAY!!
thank you for the Cache - a good way to fill in 3 hours today

Phew what a trip, thankful for google etc. unfortunately some road closures for EQ repairs and the object at trains all fenced off also due to EQ damage. But I managed to find on google and a brief note in the station. thanks this was our first multi filled in some time, thanks
tb drop.
Every cache these days is soooo small went to one of ours to drop TB into.

#252 It has been several months since starting this multi but a airplane TB sitting in the caching bag and a free afternoon spurred the need to finish it. Found I had been at the area the final is, fairly recently.... caching! Left TB collected TB.
Found without too much time. Cleaned container, dried out log book as best as possible. My first find! LS84KG
We had got the Final co-ords for this multi on our last trip to Christchurch 18 months ago, but were not in the area to find the cache. Today we finally got the chance to sign the log. Nice easy find, thanks.

Solved this a couple weeks ago & checked GZ on google maps (looked good). Thought nothing more of it; didn't think I'd be in the area for a while so didn't print out the cache page or make a proper note of co-ords. Today had us passing by; remembered & spotted GZ from afar (driving around the main road)...thought "why not" so hit GZ with nothing but a wing & a prayer. Cache quickly in hand in the first place I looked! most happy. Cache box & contents very wet. Dried it out as best as we could but didn't have anything useful in the car to make a proper go of it. Could do with new platic bag(s), silica & logbook - all rather wet, soggy & smelly. Cheers.

Found it this time in daylight within 10 seconds. It's amazing what some daylight does!
Started this one a while back but got stumped as WP2 was cordoned off. Checked yesterday and could get to WP2 so the chase was on. Did the calculations and my heart sank as I approached the GZ. Lots of green debris. I didn't have far to look though as I saw the como container open and full of water! The log book was in reasonable (damp) state so put in a new bag and replaced with the container to where I thought the hide would be. Thanks for the drive around town!
Didn't find it on the onset of total darkness this time! Some muggles were doing footy practice, so will come back when the sun's around.
Did this in a weird order - found planes a while back then today found automobiles then on the way home found trains. Did the calculations and got a waypoint that initially seemed a bit far away, but decided to go for it anyway considering how far away each of the given waypoints are. What a random place for a rugby field. Found relatively easily after waiting for an old muggle to stop sitting pretty much on top of it. TFTC (#212, 1.16pm)
When past Trains yesterday. The structure has been coordined off because of the earthquake. And you cant read the plaque to gain the information.
Found planes & trains quite some time ago. Found automobiles yesterday as I was in the area for a course. And found the final today as part of a pre-planned caching day in the vicinity. Took Good Luck TB. TFTC.
#2227 Finally! This has been one of the most "stubborn" caches in Christchurch for not wanting to be found by me. It was all of a meter away from where I have been looking. Thanks for a great multi. DS8300
TFTC. I was clearing up paper work and found my notes on this multi - checked GZ location and remembered doing it. Forgot to record it here, but definitely in the log book. Thanks for this multi, I have a particular interest in the railway water tower.

We had the coords for about a year, but whenever we came to GZ there was too much activity to retrive the cache. But today was the day. Quick and easy find and a long tour around town. TFTC
Did the "legwork" some time ago; time for an outing today so decided to head to GZ. Not many people around on a weekday afternoon. This is my 100th! Thanks, again, ridders76. Took TB. TFTC.
We started this cache several years ago, and when we did finally reach the final cache location, it had unfortunately gone missing with the building of a new fence. We made it back there today, and the replaced cache was quickly located. TFTC
(383) I solved this one quite a while ago, however when I saw where the final location was needed to wait till had more time to get over that way.. Went there a week or so later but figured I got something wrong as I was in the middle of a field.. Anyways had some time today to recheck the numbers near GZ and worked out a very simple math error.. And within minutes cache was in hand.. Dropped TB, also swapped a few super flyer cards for the sticker sheet.. TFTC, SL.
Collected the info from each of the waypoints, but when we entered the co-ords for the final we realised that we would not have time to make the find this trip. Oh well, next time??
Finally got around to a third look for this one, and managed to find it. One of those "don't know why it was so hard before" ones.
After a nice drive to the GZ and a little poking around found this one. Grace was first to grab it TFTC. (91)
The last one for the day. It is one that we have been working at for "years", and felt it was apt for number 200. Had to go and look at the boats, and there was a huge yacht in the dry-dock. Mr C found this one. TNLN, TFLC.
I took a while to track down all the waypoints but we got there in the end. The final cache was fairly easy to find. Popped into the local fish n chip shop before heading home
Spent 15 minutes earching for it with my daughter (4 eyes better than 2) but still couldn't find it.

So much easier now the cache is there. Good to be able to finish this at last. Left Canada Micro Puck geocoin. TFTC
Pretty sure we have the GZ right judging by other logs. We didn't find ourselves in the middle of the field, more between bordering trees and security fence. Not a very appealing spot - more rubbish than Brougham Bugs so not happy to search further until we see some happy faces showing us that its still there.
Judging by a comment in one of the logs I was in the right spot, but GZ was out in the middle of the grass, not hidden away, and despite there being several potential likely places along the treeline, could not locate the actual cache.
I really enjoyed this one, and once I put in the final coords. I knew where it would be -- and it was!! TNlN Thank you.
This has been in progress for months! Finally managed to get to the final cache today.
Interesting cache, took me all over, was at the final location for work today and I had an opportunity to search for it TFTC
A good puzzle because we did not know we had it right until we found the final. Did initial waypoints about a month ago - nipped out today after the labour day event. T TB LN TFTC SL
A nice idea for a themed multi-cache, and if we'd thought about it we would've realised the area of the final cache and looked up some others in that location. TNLN TFTC
Finally finished it! Did the waypoints weeks ago but just wasn't going anywhere near the final for a while. Now that there were 2 new caches nearby it was easier to justify going a little out of my way & voila! - an easy find.
Took nothing, left Rain-Dear-A TB

Put this one to one side as we thought it would be difficult. Once we sorted ourselves out it was quite easy to find. Had a lovely lunch at the end. Left Christmas Ball from Vinnies Corner. TN Well hidden cache. TFTC
gathered all the clues in one trip, was a longer drive than we anticipated so glad we got our reward at the end of the trip. Took a wee bit of finding but coordinates were correct
This is getting to be a problem. This time the coordinates for GZ were correct but all we found was a big stump with a big empty hole hehind it and rat poison. DS8300
Finally found it. Fouund all three waypoints months ago on bike. After working out cache coords decided I didn't have time to find cache on bike. Then lost cache coords. Was in the area today, so got all the info and found the cache.
Had previously ticked off wp2 without any issue. Went to find wp3 today and saw some red numbers but gps said I was still 400m away. Never got it less than 100m and couldn't see any other numbers let alone red ones.
More work needed I think.
More work needed I think.
We gatherd the info as we went about other things, but when we did the sums we got a result that took us to near an appropriate facility where we looked for a long time to no avail. A recheck of the numbers showed another likley location on Freshmap, so we checked it out while we were over there today and Bingo!!
Thanks for a well thought out cache

Nice One!!!!!!Planning a trip to Christchurch and found two cache finds in cache folder we forgot to log from December last year. To say the log in is a bit delayed is an understatement. Sorry about that! We remembered each step of the way from one side to the other. The train stop was our favorite. Thanks
As you may be able to tell from my name I like to travel.
I remember this plane from my childhood. Only completed wp1 on the way to Kaiapoi today. I look forward to completeing the rest at some stage.

This case really does give you the run around. Just when I thought I had all the caches in that area another one comes along. I did it the hard way. I ran from Heathcote Valley to the cache and back.
TFTC!

It has taken me a few weeks to do this cache but got there in the end and I had been very close to the final cache site a few times lately for other reasons, but for that other reason I did not need my GPS, so I did laugh to myself

Got the first bit when I arrived at the airport this morning. Completed the rest of the puzzle tonight, I certainly was not anticipating the distance involved. But it was completed, and the final found in the dark.

A quick check revealed the cache is in place. No time to even open the lid though.
Did the waypoints over the last 3 months as I drove past them and finally got to doing the cache. Easy find once there, just a couple of rabbits watching me. TNLN Thanks.
Did all the WP's last year but must have made a mistake somewhere in the maths. We were pretty close to GZ I am sure but up to 100 m out. Will have to check and return. DS8300
This one has been on my list for ages and nows its done.

Had about four visits to the first location, over a year or so before the data was finally written down and remembered. One visit to site two, and two visits to the third..
Got out there this morning (second time at the final location also, this time with the correctly calculated co-ords..) Took some younger members of the family who were keen to look for treasure, yarr.
A quick find, GPS took us right to it. Good to finally finish this cache that's been half-done for a long time.

Hmmmm, so maybe its wise to do the waypoints in order. We learnt the hard way. Luckily we were in a vehicle so it wasn't too bad. Still enjoyed it and an easy find at the end. TNLN
Decided today was the day to knock off the closest to home that had been sitting there for many moons. No trouble along the way so all completed early allowing time to find a couple of other caches on the way home. Swapped TB's
Did this one with Larkminda who were down for the weekend staying with us. It would definitely have been a long bike ride! Glad we had the car. Thanks

A clever cache that gave us an interesting tour. Had an inkling that a 4th mode may be involved, but so grateful for the final location. Quick find, but several potholes about to be avoided. Quick exchange and on our way again. Thanks, and good to do a cache of someone we met at yesterday's event.
Spent way too much time on this one and wish l had taken all the cheat sheets with me for all the others in the area TNLNSL

FINALLY! I've been sitting on the coords for a while - one of the WP's is on the way to work, and for a while this was our nearest unfound to home. Not any longer! And a beautiful day to do it to. -TB.
Thanks.
Thanks.
100th find for MORDOR&ANDRE harah! Found planes and trains sometime ago when in the areas and happened to be close to automobiles today. Then I had to complete the cache. Found without any probs. +TB +superglue +bubbles. Cheers Ridders76 for a well constructed multi.
T Found it with ease. Nice little drive on a day that was threatening to rain. Definitely a good car cache.
What a great trip around town. Took days as we did bits now and then and then ended up finding it on one of the wettest days in months...and it was my turn to get out of the car! Took the Jeep 'Dayle' and enjoyed reading about the competition and looking at the pictures. TFTC. Linleye.
I've been working on this one for a number of months now, but never got round to completing it, so it was good to finally lay it to rest today. Picked up the automobiles before heading the cache site. There are perhaps some other forms of transport that could be added to the list! Found final cache easily. No exchange made. Cheers Gav [570]
Started this early in the day and did bits as we moved around the city collecting other caches.
Turned out to be easier than we thought. What a city tour!
Collected 4WD TB and left runner Kiwi (it looked like his sort of area.)

Found three waypoints ok, made calculation correctly, and then something went wrong. Managed to get the gps set with a random nearby location. Took us to the end of a remote driveway. Muggles looking out window somewhat bemused. In attempt to exit without losing face got car bogged briefly. Set gps destination correctly, and headed for final destination with the sound of mud flying from the car tires.

Thanks ridders76 for another nice cache. We know the first waypoint is out near the Airport (logical for Planes, I suppose). And we know the notes say "greater Christchurch" - but if I'd known where the final was, I'd have taken the notes for another cache I haven't got to yet, which is not very far away!! Anyway, nice easy find, even without the hint. TNLN
And so it was found ... but not without me screwing up one of the coords! I was reading BaldEd's note which mentioned Evan's Pass, and I was thinking "My final coord's no where near Evan's Pass". After checking with the cache owner, it turns out one of my answers was wrong (I wondered what that (TE) stuff was about), and I eventually realised the cache isn't actually in the vicinity of Evan's Pass anyway! BaldEd was just taking the long way on his bike! TNLN Cheers
Wohoo!! I found my first cache. It was fun looking for this. Took the buzzy bee and added Bobo Bear.
A nicer day to bike up Evans Pass to complete this cache. A very convenient seat on which to sit whilst filling on the log and watch kids at play. + Felicity Fish. - Nothing. Thanks ridders76.
Opps, wrong coords in for trains waypoint. Will go triple check and update. The coords are not off by a little bit either but half a city. Sorry about that folks. Ridders76
Okay, found problem. Have updated coordinates for one waypoint that where wrong. Used topographic map to confirm that the right place is referenced. Thanks to BaldEd and Sallies for high lighting a problem. Ridders76
Gathered up the information and then decided to look for the cache. One set of numbers was quite elusive and we had to go without them so we had quite a large area to search. After annoying people in parked cars and keeping out of the way of others intent on their own pursuits we finally came across the right spot!
We took the Travel Bug and left a screwdriver.
Thanks for an interesting night outing.
