Well, what with some recent finds on this cache and after getting the FTF on this cache (version 2) I only thought it reasonable to wander back here and try and locate it.
Was making my way back down the path and approached GZ and came across a recognisable figure, Hunter/Finder.
He asked if I came back to locate the original cache, and out popped from his pocket, the original cache.
Signed the log and handed it back.

Well that is strange. Bensel (original owner) returned from living OS and a few weeks went to see his 1st cache and reported that it was missing. Seems he lost his ability to find anything LOL
4th time back to find not this cache but 'SMR II'. Thought the original had already been archived. Not to be the case. However reading the last logs it has now been shelved.
RIP 'SMR'. [xx(]

This was our first cache after the nearby event had concuded. A spot I'd never been to so it was interesting to see the rusting relic.
After a short search the cache was in hand. Thanks

Again, one of those caches where you scream, 'it wasn't there last time i looked." It no doubt was and I was just unobservant. Shout out to k-romers for the hint.

Finally found it after 3 rd trip. It was in the one place I did not look, figure that. TFTH.
Found on the second attempt!
Searched for what seemed like hours the first time and left frustrated. About half an hour the second time before I decided to look in a different spot. Once found I couldn't believe I didn't find it earlier.

With the GPS almost flat we opted to turn it off until we got to what we thought was GZ. In the end we didn't even use it as we found it straight away.
That was so obvious once we actually found it, but it took a little time to turn it up. I'm surprised it hasn't been muggled. Cheers Gav [2837]
Team GPS.org.nz Cache Raid: soo many places to search. Funny how it can soeasily be missed. T4TC, M@
After finishing my training course for the day I decided to head south & start with this cache. Not a good idea... I think I spent at least 45 minutes searching fruitlessly for the cache - up, down, up down, up, down.... etc.
No doubt it is really obvious when you know where to look - and I am just incredibly unobservant!
At least it was an interesting spot to visit.

I couldn't find this when walking west, but when returning from my coatal walk I had more luck. Perhaps I was looking for something trickier...

Finally.
I have been here several times with limited time available during the day. Out of frustration I contacted Auswomble.
Today armed with new found information I went to GZ and searched and searched. Then..... Bingo. What a goose I felt. If only I had cleaned my glasses in the first place and used my eyes..
Thanks Auswomble, that's 1 cup of coffee I owe you.
Thanks Grank for a great search. [^]

[I have been popping in on this one recently to try and get it...but I am usually in a hurry to get back to the office and have racked up a few brief DNFs. Not today; I've been having a shocker at work so I had a more methodical look and bingo!] Not one where google earth or the GPS did me many favours!
Huha! almost sunset and still a lot to do today, but thanks to my collegue who fought his fear of heights to get this one, we can still do our record!!!

Easy find. Lovely little park with great views. Saturday morning and no one was around so search was quick. Enjoyed sitting on a bench and watching the boats. Not many sights like this in New Mexico. Thanks for making my morning walk a pleasant one.
Wow this was hard. I would have typically called this a DNF, but a call to a previous finder pointed us in the general direction. How did we miss it so many times? I think I know why muggles miss it. Great location, sneaky cache.
AAARRRRGGGGHHH What a devious little bugger this one turned out to be. What little hair I had left is now gone after Spindoc's and my marathon effort at finding this one, in the end it became too tempting and we asked for a little help, fortunately I put my hands on it before it was spelled out for us completely this being our only saving grace. If I have to be frustrated over a twisty one like this though what better setting to do it in!
Thanks for the cache and hunt Well done!

Looked high and low for this one but with so many hiding places on so many different levels after 20 minutes we decided to move on. Nice location.
A teriffic harbourside location
As promised any optimism of a quick find immediately evaporated as I saw what was at GZ [:o]
There were a few distractions to help ease my pain tough
The view of course. Then there was the personal trainer and his lady client nearby
During the three quarters of an hour I searched for this cache, I was constantly reassured that my personal torture looking for a cache was nothing compared to what others will PAY to inflict on themselves
After locating the cache and signing the logbook I replaced the cache exactly as described. It was then I noticed what a truly ingenious placement it is [^]
The location is millimetre perfect to avoid detection

I was expecting to take a while with this one, as it seems to have caused a fair amount of indigestion for many in the past. Fortune smiled an I hand it in hand within about 5 mins.

Started to scan the place with the intention not to miss any spot. Hagar found it within 10 min and signed the logbook.
We must have spent 2 hours going over every inch of the structure, but we couldn't find this one to save ourselves!
I'm sure I'm going to smack myself when I eventually find it! Maybe the possum hiding in the roof took it!?
I'll be back dammit!

Every now and then you come across a Cache that really stumps you. You read back through the logs and see others finding it with ease whilst you struggle. Well for the Wilkos this was one of them. Eventually found the blighter on the third trip. Phew !!!

What neither of my cohorts have admitted to is that we, or should I say I, resorted to ringing a friend here (Dak). Took him a moment to remember which cache we were talking about then came a helpfull hint just before my phone died.
The hide is less clever than we expected. Just sitting there pretty much in plain view as stated. Just a matter of looking in the right place in the end. The fact that it was dark probably didn't help a lot either.
Thanks indeed.

An interesting place in the dark (did it on the way home). We walked all over the structure (several times), poking around at every nook and cranny. Eventually found almost where we started - how annoying
A nice little park. I wonder what the story of the boat is?
Thanks, Robmc.

45th find on a caching trip to Sydney with chewinprickles and Robmc.
This one seemed like a cache we just had to find. Unfortunately it was well and truly dark by the time we started the search so that added to the challenge.
We must have searched high and low and high and low.....with some very stiff necks in the end from following the hint.
Eventually the little blighter was observed (fairly obvious when you look in the right spot). Logged visit and for me, departed Sydney for the return drive to Canberra. TFTC

The 2nd and last DNF for my No SYD walking tour today. 7 finds in all. Thought I had this one a couple times but was foiled....Had to be on the structure even though the coords had me off near a tree. Perhaps I'll return for this one on my next trip from California. Thanks!!
Would have been a nice bonus to the cache to find some signs about the boat by the cache location. Found without issue. TFTC.
We left this one a bit late and didn't bring the torch. I tried using my mobile as a torch but it didn't help much. The GPS was saying that it was in a small tree... I think the sig. was a bit off. as it was not possible to be there. will come back again interesting ship wreck!
It wasn't really all that great an idea to try this one just on dark without a torch
Will return

After visiting this area recently with a photography group I figured I knew where it was hidden and sure enough there it was.

Sneaky hide but quite visible. Looked right at it several times without realising. TFTC!
At last after several fruitless lunchtime lookings I finally found this delightfully cached cache. And yep, just like they say, so obvious when you're in the know. It's a cracker, so thanks heaps for the hunt, but.... what do I do with my lunch times now? .... Jayk for Us Mob
took a while, as the GPS gods wanted nothing to do with us. Looked at all the good hiding places to no avail, and then it just revealed itself. How on earth this cache has survived in its hide ( or lack of ) for 2 years astounds me !!
Great spot though, and great hide !

Found 19:50ish. 4th of 8 FFTD. Second day back in Sydney for a couple of days of study, decided that I would fit in a couple of cache's into my already over filled days (thus night caching in a strange city). Thankful for a relatively quick find as the light was dimming fast, had to wait for a couple of lovers to move on before retrieving the cache , didn't want to interrupt . TFTC.
This was my third cache on my evenings walking tour of the area. I found my way here without any trouble, but after a bit of a search where I thought it would be, I was no better off. I checked a few other areas before returning to where I'd first checked.
There it was, virtually in plain sight, yet I had missed it initially. Hidden in plain sight! This park seems to be one of those hidden jewels - great spots that are only known to the locals. Thanks for bringing me here and showing it to me. Thanks also, for such a brazen cache (to use the words of a previous log).

Had to rely on the clue since the coords are pointing elsewhere. Obvious once you spot it - as they always are!

Gah, forehead-slappingly obvious for the observant. I spent aaages staring at what I thought was every inch of that place, and only just struck it on that "one last look" before giving up.
Great location, all kinds of interesting.

Wow, I finally got the bugger! I have spent hours over several trips look for this, which was my nemesis, until today! I can't believe I didn't see it before. As mentioned before the co-ords are somewhat misleading, it's more of a search cache. TFTH!

#67 Satellites had me dancing here and there. Decided to observe carefully and there it was! Brazen hide, TFTC.
Third of five finds on my last night in Sydney for this trip. There was some sort of party/BBQ going on near where I parked, and I had to walk through the middle of it to reach GZ. I groaned inwardly when I saw where the cache was hidden. For the second time tonight I spent over 30 minutes looking for the cache. I always search at the wrong altitude in these situations, and this one was no exception. I started a careful, detailed search of the structure, gradually working my way from one altitude to the other. I reckoned I knew where it would be, but I couldn't lay eyes on it. In the end I rang a Victorian cacher who had found it previously, and he pointed me in the right direction. When I saw it I couldn't believe I had missed it previously. As others have asked: why hasn't this one been muggled? It's a micro, so I made no exchange. Thanks to Bensel (and Grank) for the cache.
What an interesting park, complete with ruins and a shipwreck! We hunted 30 - 40 minutes, and had pretty well resigned ourselves to a DNF. On the way out we had one last look, and there it was! SL Thank you for the hunt and the cache Bensel and Grank!
Found quite easily as I have seen others in the mould before. Nice quiet place to search too without the usual muggles. TFTC
This is a great spot with the water and wreck. I found the cache by using all my powers of observation. I also placed the cache back within the black lines. TFTC
An appropriate activity for a "Casual Friday" lunchtime. A cache of subtlety and charm. The same cannot be said for the rotting wooden monstrousity which dominates the park - and I don't mean the wrecked ship. TFTC.

As usual, my first instincts proved correct and as usual I spent some time eliminating the other places! I must say that when I spotted it, it was fairly visible and when I retrieved it, there were no black lines, so perhaps someone other than a cacher found it and just stuck it back. I checked out a lot of sight lines after I replaced it so it is not obviously seen, but you might want to go and confirm that it is where it is supposed to be. Thanks for the hunt.
Tried again, spent around 2 hours looking all up now, what am I missing here? Are the co-ordinates not where the cache is? Sats jump around a lot, and co-ords lead me to a few different places within 10m radius. Most often in group of 4 trees. No luck yet. I'll find this one day.

The wreck is that of a hopper barge, probably scuttled in the early the early 80s(?). No details of this are in the Wrecks database of the Maritime Heritage website. There is a sign with brief details in the reserve somewhere, I remember reading it. Apparently it is historic for some reason.
All the info and linked pictures I have found are here: http://maritime.heritage.nsw.gov.au/public/Site_View.cfm?Site_ID=2356

Amazing little park in the middle of the harbour, we both fell in love with this place as soon as we walked into the park. Does anyone know the history of the ship wreck that quite visible from Cache location? I'd be interest to know.

Gosh, where is this? Searched for about 30 mins with no joy. It really could be anywhere. I hope it's still there though.
Searched here on 3 occasions over the last 2 weeks and no luck, GPS signal is a bit flakey here. Could be a heap of places. Can someone confirm if still here? I have been looking up.

Saturday morning and no one around. Perfect time for a good hunt. Spent 30 minutes craning my neck. Didn't find it, but left with a smile. I'll be back! (with a full tummy and a little more patience). I love this city!
Was in the area and remembered this cache after a previous unsuccesful attempt. After a few minutes the cache was found. Well hidden, many thanks Grank & Bensel.
Too many muggles walking their muggle-hounds. Gave up after 10 minutes as one looked just about ready to call a terrorist hotline.
Headed back to this one as my first cache today and was pleasantly surprised with how quickly I found it this time. I can only laugh at the things I was checking last time I looked for this cache. Had fun with it though. TFTC!
Looks like I was following GIN51E today but luck was not with me for this cache. I had the updated co-ords but not the clue, which I think I needed. Spent about 40 mins looking but came up empty.
Cache #2 @ 12:50pm
I arrived at GZ "Or at least what i thought was GZ" and being one of those big 3D structures i thought this could be a tough cache to crack, slowly had a look around whilst trying not to stand out too much with a handful of muggles nearby.
But after 10min the Muggles had left so i could get down to business and spotted the cache quickly, i can't believe this hasn't been muggled yet.

Note that these are the actual cache coordinates. I will ask the reviewer to change the cache type to "traditional" from "multi".
Finally managed to crack this one. This was one of the first caches I attempted, and I have been back on several occasions. On all but one of these trips ground zero has been occupied and I have been unable to search. Today, however, the park was mine. Within 60 seconds I had located what had previously defied my observance.
After an hour's worth of poking and jiggling on various levels, the micro eventually showed itself surprisingly accurate to the co-ordinates. Then on the way home we Squires, as always, had the same conversation: why don't we ever try the simple before the complicated, the obvious before the obscure? Its what makes caching so much fun - brilliant scenery in yet another delightful part of Sydney...tinged with that taunting frustration of a cache well hid. Thanks Bensel & Grank.
Visited here after simply loading the wp. Saw the sign and thought it may be something but had to return home to find out what we were in fact looking for!! Will be back to get the prize. Loved the shipwreck and beach though.
We found the required information and completed the easy calculations. As we began to search the call went out from Mrs Webguy that the cache was at hand. With the official logging completed we explored the beachfront and had a look at the wreck.
Thanks Bensel.
Thanks Bensel.

Another nice little park on the harbour. Easy maths, easy GZ, did some searching while the kids played on the "beach" near us.
Mrs Webguy found it easily without breaking a sweat, though, there may have been some strange contortions going on to retrieve it from it's home.
Signed the log, and then went and checked out the rusting wreck down in the water.
Cheers

Team The Devil Hates Kung Fu spent a good 30 minutes searching for this one, to no avail.
3 of us climbed over and under everything in sight, but no luck.
Lots of hiding places around so fairly certain it's there, but we just couldn't find it.

I was up in Sydney for a week for work. After work on wednesday I found the first part of the cache no worries. I didn't try to find the actual cache as it was too dark, gee it gets dark early in Sydney. I went back the next day to try and find the cache but no luck as darkness again beat me. Friday lunch time, tried for a third time, but I again ran out of time,I had to leave for Melbourne when work finished. So this one got the better of me. Maybe next time I'm up that way I will try again.
Snuck away from work to find this one.
As mentioned by others there are plenty of possible hiding spots for this cache. I think I searched just about all of them before narrowing down the correct area.
Just when I was sure I had found the cache, a couple turned up to enjoy the view (and each other). They settled down for a 20-minute cuddle right where I wanted to search!
I was left with the prospect of returning to work. Of course the fantastic view was way too tempting and had no choice but to hang around.
Once the couple left I resumed my search and quickly found the cache within half a metre of where they had been standing.
Thanks for an enjoyable diversion from work in this beautiful, hidden spot.

This one had us puzzled and really confused. If you think about it what is a Saw Millers revenge? Does he stop work or does he do more work? Who is he seeking revenge from?
Doh! 2nd time around for me too. Found at night with a head lamp on. Also found the nose on my face!
Good one Bensel.

Found with the aid of 'Eagle Eyes' Shaggy. I may have found it myself eventually, but obviously didn't on this occassion. Shaggy spotted it in an area I was sure I'd checked before. My compliments to you Mr Bensel, you have the potential to become a most evil cache hider. Keep up the good work!
No luck. The GPS was all over the place, so the area in which the cache might be hidden was huge. There were therefore far too many potential hiding spots for a micro, after 40 mins of searching we gave up. I've found micros before but only when the GPS is all good and gets you to a 10m or so area... not 100m radius!!
