I visited the site today and there's no cache. The owner has not logged on site for 2 years, so it's about time that reviewer makes a favour to caching community and archives this.
There's now several of us who've tried and failed to find this cache, and nobody's found it for some time now.
TBN97: Could you please either take a look at GZ, or archive the cache?
Thanks

I think this one's gone...
The vines are long dead and hiding very little, and no cache was found anywhere around. Sorry!
The vines are long dead and hiding very little, and no cache was found anywhere around. Sorry!
No luck with this one - the hint refers to some vines, but they've died back to the point where they don't hide very much and don't look likely to ever recover, so maybe the cache went from "hidden" to "obvious" to now "gone". Spent a lot of time here, and searched everywhere (even down to spots where it was pretty dangerous) and still found nothing.
Suspect this one might now be gone.
Suspect this one might now be gone.
We were walking by after finding another nearby cache and decided to have a look. No notes, no clue and no find. However I did find a brand new 2 person dome tent right at GZ. It doesn't appear to have ever been removed from its storage bag. Perhaps a swap that was just too large for the container? Life's little mysteries.
Easy find using the clue. Plenty of passing muggles on a sunny Sunday afternoon, naturally!
By a serendipitous coincidence I read the maintenance log about an hour before I was going to walk right past this one! So it now has a new log.
Pretty sure there was only 1 spare page when I left, although a few 1/2 pages could still be used in the log book. Maybe another log book soon...
tbn97 hasn't been active for a year, so maybe I will need to replace the log book...

Alas we didn't have as much fun as Tangles....no bike riders descending rapidly down the hill today....maybe next time.

If only I had a video camera at this location. I was checking out the MTB track when some guy comes along on his bike and I think if I was not there he would not have attempted the descent. But obviously his ego got the better of him so over the edge he goes and over and over until he finally separated from his bike which landed on it’s wheels and was able to descend on its own much better than when it had it’s rider. The rider was still rolling down the hill but a tree managed to bring him to a stop, after shaking himself off he limped over to his bike and continued on his way.
Found at 1620. An interesting location. Had two locations where I thought the cache might be and found it on the first one, although didn't want to put my hand in with a place like this the perfect breeding ground for snakes.

I noticed there was a new jeep sitting in this cache so I made it a priority on my trip out today. I had tried to get to this cache on a couple of occasions in the past but time got the better of me. Added to my luck was the fact that the gate was open and I was able to take a drive through the area. The area was quite scenic and a pleasure to visit, thanks for showing me.

Found @ 10:30 with Next! It was up early and out caching early to beat the heat. I was looking in the wrong spot when my glasses were knocked off by a piece of ivy and I had to climb down to the base of the bridge to find them. This was easy to do as it was down hill but getting out again wasn't that easy and I scraped my shin on the side of the bridge as I was climbing over the edge at the top.. Out for a bit of a bike ride I missed this last time I was here and thought it would be a good spot for a cache... get home and there is one there. Not too hard to find and a nice chance to stop for a rest and a drink. TNLN. Pretty steep terrain so close to civilisation.
Was driving past between jobs so thought this could be a quick one. All OK until I arrived at GZ. Cyclist arrived at critical moment. He then proceeded to make phone calls on his mobile. Thought I'd have to leave and come back another day, but he then rode off. Made the grab and quickly departed. No swaps today. Thanks.
Found at 20:35 by Jess and Kev shortly after having dinner at Lentil as Anything at nearby Abbotsford Convent. It was our second visit, after darkness forced us to abandon our search the first time. An easy enough find once armed with the additional clue. Took Weightlifting Tom, left AU$1 coin.

Found today after an exhausting walk through the area which was well worth it! The water levels have certainly dropped since I last walked through here in the floods a couple of years ago... TNLN.
3rd cache for the day, all on foot - starting to get weary now - it was a LONG & indirect hike from Flying Fox 2! I would not like to attempt this cache at night - there are definitely hazards just below the cache site - my tip is to stay up on high ground. I was also surprised by a few muggles that snuck up on me out of nowhere, but I don't think any suspicions were aroused as I was casually sitting down at the time.

PS The log book is quite full - but there are odd pages that can be used in random order throughout the book. The cache pencil also needs sharpening - unfortunately I did not have a sharpener with me.

Found by edmil & maddie. We'd just finished down on the farm and figured we'd take a stroll to this one. The cache was in hand quite easily. TNLN. We continued our journey and had a bit of an exploration of an area we hadn't previously visited even though maddie had grown up quite nearby in Northcote. 16:30. Found on the way to the outlaws. Easy find, I parked rightly or wrongly on the roadside near the gate. I was a little worried about the last step wondering if there was a hole under the leaves. TFTC In: Car Out: Turtle.
I found this one when it was just about dark. Be careful approaching this one, because if you search too far, it is a long slide down into the river. The cache can be reached from level ground, don't come at it from below. I don't think I identified a "step" up to the bridge. TNLN. Thanks for the view of the city.

I should have read the full cache description before barrelling down under the bridge and searching amongst all the vines (snakes in there?) and girders (spiders in there?). Nothing found, so I decided to read the logs. A couple of minutes after educating myself, the cache was safely in hand.
There was a wedding photography session happening up on top of the cliffs, but I doubt if anyone was interested in what I was doing. In any case, they were about 150m away so should be safe.

Short walk to this cache from another interesting cache. The river was flowing this afternoon after the rain in the morning. Dropped off travel bug after much virtual travel. SA to Vic in less than 300m.
The ski club had its post season social breakfast at a well known boating venue close by and we couldn't resist looking for a few of the caches in the locality. The find was relatively straightforward but before we could replace the container, a couple walked past and proceeded to a higher structure with a good overview and spent some time chatting to another couple. They finally moved on and we were able to restore the cache to its accustomed spot. TNLN
Found at 1:10pm. Seventh find of Eighteen on our "Daylight Savings is here, so we're going out Caching All Day" extravaganza. A very interesting spot that we hadn't really noticed before. We searched for a while before decypting the clue then searched some more. Finally spotted it but before we could remove it a man with no shirt jogged into view and stopped not 10m from us to towel himself off and start doing pushups in the long grass. Creepy. Finally he jumped up and jogged off again. Extracted, logged and replaced. Wonder what the cables are going across the river? Thanks tbn97 from D & S B-A.
Found at 1.00PM. with SDM Geo.
This one had me stumped previously, last time I was here I spent a good 30 - 40 minutes shuffeling around the area. While I was busy elsewhere SDM Geo walked straight in and found the cache hidden where I had been searching throughly last time I was here. He said it was in plain view. Hmm, signed the log book and hid the cache better this time around.

Had given up on the first place which had been giving me a 0.0000m reading on the GPS (first in a while) after thoroughly patting the object down.

Found on the way home from work at 18:25. This find was made a bit easier as I had some fading light to search by -the last time I attempted this cache it was dark (and I wasn't too keen to make a misstep and roll down the steep hill into the Yarra!) Certainly an excellent vantage point for views of the current bridge and the Yarra - although, judging by the picture, I think I preferred the original bridge from an aesthetic viewpoint - it certainly looks to have been stylish and graceful. The cache was a nice, quick find.

Unexpectedly, this one took a while to find. We searched thoroughly all the likely hiding places without success. We were just about to start on the more inaccessible places but first decided to check the hint. Then it was an easy find at 5:35pm. We retired to a nearby steep walking track to check out the cache and were interrupted by another dog-walker (walking in the dark). We took a reel of cotton and left an "alien face" ball. The hardest bit was being sure that we put the cache back exactly where it was. In fact we used a Goodo (dog treat) as a marker before removing the cache but then couldn't find it when we were returning the cache. Hopefully some dog hasn't dug out the cache!! Thanks Tbn97.
Found at 11.00am after going over, under, in and out. Had a look at the hint which we misinterpreted slightly, causing us to look again where we had already searched. Eventually we called the Dak help line who confirmed we were in the right spot and while on the phone we found it. A nice area which we found fairly easily. Took: Mondo doll, Left: Cotton reel. Thanks tbn97
Last of 13 finds for the day. I'm not sure about the Melway comment; my Edition 31 shows the same access point as Edition 1, but in more detail. However, there is a gate barring the way, as Rhinogeo apparently found out. (The gate is also shown on my Melway.) I parked on Yarra Blvd, near the other locked gate.
It took me a fair while to find this one. I was looking in the usual geocaching spots, but couldn't lay hands on it. After 12 earlier successes, was I to come unstuck here? I decrypted the hint; I read the logs; and in desperation, I rang the barcoder hint line. I looked where she told me to look, but I had already looked there, and there was no cache to be seen. I was about to declare it MIA, when I found it elsewhere at 1630. I think I misinterpreted her description. [B)] Thanks to tbn97 for the cache.
