Sitting on 119 LGA regions found and what happens? A 120 LGA is published. So seeing my closest Unfound LGAs we’re down here, I decided to arrange a trip. I mentioned it to KrabiBoy who was up for a night away so we packed the car and headed off. We set a plan and off we went.
Grabbed it and signed in its new home.
Phil & Sigrid Justrackin, Kyzabra found your cache Heart of the Great Southern, the cache is in good shape and we replaced it as found. Thanks for placing this and bringing us to this spot!
Since I was in the area, I thought I’d check out this archived cache. Happy to say it’s still there.

Always nice to find an archived cache, this time it was inside the container of a cache I found two years ago.
It’s been far too long between outings for me so when Kyzabra told me we needed another trip I was definitely interested. We hatched out a plan and headed out to clean up some of his unfound LGAs.

All in good shape. Would be great to have you guys caching again one day. Shame the Chevy is gone now.

WanderingAus wandered by on a trip to show three of the grandchildren the All Ages Playground across the road. They were suitably impressed by the playground, and got to play there on Saturday, Sunday and Monday. They even got to ride the miniature railway on the Sunday.
Before heading back to the caravan park for lunch we decided to do a token cache search. While LinkenAxe searched for WanAus 90 - Chevy Chase http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_details.aspx?guid=955d5c59-297d-4860-a818-5f61bd0e4f1c I decided to seek out this cache. I can't believe it was so hard to find before I placed my cache here. I aimed the granchildren at the area of my cache, then went to where I figured this cache should be, and made a very quick GAFF 1 find in the first spot I felt for.
I replaced the cache where I found it, and once the grandchildren had found WanAus 90 - Chevy Chase sent them hunting. It only took them about 5 minutes to find it, but I probably gave them just a bit of advice.
Once we signed the log I removed the cache and placed it in a new cache, GC22YAD WanAus 148 - Heart of the Great Southern Mk 2" http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_details.aspx?guid=eeb96c74-6d8a-4c4b-bced-f91637f64ffb, where it can be collected by it's owners should they choose to do so.
My find No 2198, T the cache LNSL.

Like others, got a two for one deal here. I had meant to find this months ago, but seems waiting has paid dividends
SL. TFTH. Perhaps it should be reactivated??

A nice easy find, then on to get the nearby one. Thanks Justrackins (and Everlasting for the replacement). A nice place to bring people for a closer look
Found this with melvilla - so who changed the magnetic case to a film cannister, and where has this cache been?
Found while looking for the "other" cache. So I guess it's a log able find. Nice old truck.
Found it while looking for Chevy Chase! I am bit confused as this is supposed to be a magnetic key case but it is in fact a black plastic fim cannister. Anyhow thanks for the cache!
Since the owner of the cache hasn't contacted me, I'm reluctantly archiving this cache. If the owner wants to reinstate this cache, they should contact the reviewer that first published the cache.
It appears that this cache has been inactive for quite some time. Is it going to be replaced or should it be archived to make room for possible future caches? If the cache owner does not contact me by posting a note on this page by December 20, I'll assume the cache needs to be archived.
Sorry to the geocaches that searched for this cache, it's been stolen again. I may need to rethink this one. Maybe I will try a different location.
Shame, shame, shame! Our first real DNF in 10 days of golfing and caching in the South of the state. (The other one was a missing cache - Versatile Ledge Beach). We were travelling back to Perth and didn't really have our 'grovelling gear' on. Still we were on our knees and hanging underneath but no luck. We'll have to leave it for another time. Overall though, the geo-caching was more successful than the golfing - but you get that.
Had a look at the 'red-blooded' playground across the road. None of your 'namby pamby' baby slides and swings. These were seriously high. Maybe the Nanny State hasn't yet reached out here!

The four of us went over the Chev with a fine tooth comb but could not find it.
Had fun in the playground across the road.

Replaced the film container - lucky I have spare one in my car. So owner can replace properly one later when they are ready. Thank you for organise the cache and hunt.
We got down and got dirty. Searched high and low but mainly low. Passers by probably thought we were doing a grease and oil change on the Chevy. Think this one has gone.
Searched everywhere over and under but no luck. The kids still had a ball in a great location. I would be interested to know where abouts it was hidden.
It took a while to find in the searing sun, but it was there! Thanks for the hunt!
We were not going home without finding it.
Third time lucky. Tnx Phil & Sigrid

Found on a quick circuit from Narrogin to the south and back. Thanks for the cache.
After a first failed attempt and really had no idea what we were looking for... We stumbled across the "owner" of the cache and with a few very very minor hints the better half was able to locate it... Don't be afraid to get on your knees with this one.. Thanks Phil & Sigrid Justrackin this is a great 1
Another try this year still no luck did notice it was found on the 10th . So need new glasses or it is missing again.

Fourth of five caches found over motorbiking weekend.
Stayed at one of the pubs in town and walked to this one after dinner - daylight savings is great!

This was the second cache on our Holland Track trek. The boys had a hard decision to make. Find the cache first or play on the park.....the park won. Even I got caught up in the great park until the magpie started to swoop.
We initially had some stife finding the cache but Connor was determined to find. He scurried under the truck (as he is the smallest) and found with ease.
Thanks again Phil & Sigrid

Don't know.I looked all over the place around the wool truck.I was going to have to get a creeper bed to look under it but people might have wondered what I was up to.
Will have to try again when we are down this way.

Another interesting cache. I really needed the clue because my GPS took me to the windmill. While I was searching where the clue indicated, I was surprised by a young man who asked me if I needed any help. I answered non-commitally and then he said that his parents had placed the cache. He indicated generally where it was and just at that moment I spotted it. He left, and it was only then I realised that he had come from a car across the road. Sorry Phil and Sigrid, if I'd know you were there I'd have come over.
TFTC and thanks for the help.

Just visiting Katanning and thought we should look for some caches. Either we're all blind or this one is kind of hard to find. Was about to give up after 20 mins of searching when my brother found it.

One of the best playgrounds ever. Awesome cache as I never knew this place existed. Found easily, but had a lot of fun.
Had to kick the kids out of the way so us grown ups could play. Spent an hour in Katanning. Lovely spot (Too visit
We got to fill up a brand new page. Thanks for the cache.

Have placed another magnetic key holder as last one was stolen. Happy huting.
Oh, bugga, my GSAK still shows as available, would have saved me 20 minutes grovelling on the ground
(really must find out where I went wrong in my PQ's, this is the 4th occurance this trip)
Oh well, while you're replacing this one Phil & Sigrid, don't forget to have a look at Twonkwillingup.

1020 looked for 15 minuets did every thing but lay on our backs will have another look on the way back. Tnx Sigrid
I crawled, peered, probed (cautiously) a couple of days ago, so this time I laid in the gravel, but still no could see. NO, I had a quiet New Years Eve.
Visiting from SA. Took a bit to find, good spot! A rainy day, so couldn't enjoy the playground - but opted for a cuppa in town. Liked the cache idea. Thanks.
We found it....but we were the second finder so it is there if you look. We got there at night on our way back to Perth so we were prepared for a night hunt. We crawled all over the place but it turned out to be a much easier find that we expected. start close to the middle of the truck and be prepared to lay down. to be honest it stood out like "Rams Testicles"....
Brrrrr its cold down here. Found cache quite quickly, (did I mention how cold it is). Thanks Justrakin, off to the playground now to check out the miniture steam trains and very large playground. Ohhhh and the windmill desparately needs some oil.
Took- nothing
Left- nothing

This was to be our second cache find but we gave up after searching for about 15mins. We may go back and have another look later (didn't have much time today). It's not far from us and we go past there quite often
Well, I poked and prodded and stuck my head in every possible magnetic hiding place for this cache, but couldn't find any micro cache. There were some beer bottles strewn around, so I hope the cache hasn't disappeared already. The only thing I didn't check was the sheep.
Trying to look inconspicuous was made all the harder with a big gathering of people at the nearby skate park.
In the end had to give up and leave it for another day.
