Took the Grandparents along for the first time to introduce them to geocaching, but sadly were unable to locate, We looked and looked but GZ didnt seem to fit the Hint at all!! Decided to continue on and had a lovely walk along the boardwalk. Did manage to see something very cool, a kingfisher in its hole on its nest!! We have always seen their holes but they have always been empty- until now!! Would be interesting to know whether the cache is still there or not, as we might try again sometime if it is. thanx
I'm hoping its not muggled.... one more no find and I'll disable this one. A bit far for me to go and check it out.
two visits but finally found it. Os easy in retrospect, but aren't they all?
Btw the log book is fine to write on.

Wondering if the next chachers could replace the log book with something a bit drier. From the postings it sounds as this one has become damp. Would be a bit of a drive for me to come replace it from the US. Thanks
Interesting find; hello to the cachers in the blue van (lol) that came in after us. TFTC.
Found very easily, Use to live in the area awhile back so really nice to go back and have a good walk around.

My first geocache! Found myself in a field and couldn't find anything. Went home and checked other logs. Returned with new co-ordinates and found easily.
Was in the area with my 5 year old son. He wanted to play in the nearby park so let him but only after the cache was found. Co-ords about 10m out. TFTC
My co-ords must have been a bit off as they had me in the mowed area. I followed the hint and looked into lots of rabbit holes before spying the cache. Thanks.
Nice walk on a neat path. Spotted cache from the path so tried to rehide better. TFTC
Nice location, no-one around despite the school holidays. Logbook slightly damp but usable. TFTC

A nice quick cache to start the day, Geo-puppy appreciated the chance to stretch his legs and run around, nice little park.

Another area we have never previously visited and as it was late in the day it was a cool walk to GZ but luckily a quick find T4TC.
The tide was out while looking for the cache so didn't get to see it at its best. Many dogs taking their owners for a walk this morning. TFTC
Had to wait for a few muggles to move on from the GZ before I located it.
Nice area with the tide in.
Out: Geocoin
Cheers for the cache.

Good to get out the house after the rain earlier, with G'son who was pleased to have a bonus play on the swing and slide. Cache was a little exposed so we made sure to cover it up. TNLNSL TFTC
Used a Garmin MAP 60CSX. Location was about 17 metres out but had no trouble finding it from the clue. Great little hide. Sticker out, Compass/whistle in
Found it with help of clue. good little hidey hole. In good condition. Took YOWIE crystal and left some "love" Happy hunting
The GPS had me in out in the open, but having read previous logs it was obvious that a bit of hunting nearby was required. An easy find as the cache was partially exposed, it was replaced so the next person will need to search a bit harder (and it is now out of sight of passing muggles.)

After wondering round in cirlces the group of kids I took with me managed to get bored and decided to play in the playground. I went off on a mission and managed to retrieve the treasure, much to thier delight.

Where's Walter? Good question. The coordinates led us to a spot in the middle of a lawn, so we started an extended search of the area with the use of the hint. Not long after that, Rala spotted the cache, smiling at her from its hiding place. We retrieved it, signed the log and tried to hide it better.

Second one of the day which has been on my watchlist for a while. Didn't have the coordinates with me but given that I have been here twice already and this was the first time in daylight thought I would try my luck. Bit of a hunt - no wonder I couldn't find it in the dark! Left a smiley sticker and commando man and took the key ring.
First find for the day. Co-ords a wee bit out I thought but easy enough find despite that.

Great spot! The GPS suggested we were over 15m off GZ? Found it with the clue easily, however.
Took a Canada Key ring, added a big purple highlighter pen (sorry, no key rings on us at the time)
Great location, but it started raining just after we re-hid the cache. Thanks for a nice hunt!

Visited location and went in two possies but could not find. Area has had recent landscaping so a maintenence visit may be required. Could possibly have been removed.

So close, yet so far. We came into the park behind a pair of muggles, and where do they decide to sit? Right by the cache site, of course! Tried to wait them out, but after 30 minutes of enjoying the afternoon, we really did have other things to do (ie: I needed to pack for my outbound flight). Maybe next time I head out to NZ.
It's our last full day in NZ, and we decided to try and find a cache while we had a little free time. The terrain was a little more difficult because it had rained that day, but we were able to find it without incident . We left a magnet, and grabbed what seemed to be a candy, and placed it back where we found it. It's a little trickier with all the peninsulas, but fun as always!

Since the location is not real handy from my home location (Portland, OR - USA) to drop by and get better coord's, I would appreciate some help in getting the correct coord's for the cache. Thanks for the help. MOG
Second attempt at this one - it's been more than a year.
Didn't have the notes with me, but remembered the clue, and the comments that the location was off. Not enough to help.

As mentioned by others, the supplied co-ordinates were not dead accurate, so it required a little extra searching (maybe 10 metre radius) , but definitely worth the extra 15 mins or so. Nice spot to place it.
We enjoyed the site - good spot for cache - and beuatifully scenic to visit. Took out a scoobi-doo (plaited wire)and put in pair of unused ear-plugs...after scrounging around the car and finding nothing else suitable. Thanks
Eventually found it after GPS had me looking in the wrong place. Nice park. TNLNSL
Lovely park down by the water front. Found easily after looking in other possible spots. Tide was out today, but great views of the mud flats none the less. TNLN SL Thanks for the cache
Easy find and great views. Visited this cache with a safe muggle. Out Truck and in Duck. Thanks
Whew ninth cache for the day after a leisurely lunch at the Autobahn...too much fun. More fun sharing a ride with XenaCommander aboard Splat... so named cos it goes splat on its side too often when I am parking it up ... big bike + little person = Splat. XC does not have this problem of course being very tall and an expert pilot
Cycled past the Conifer grove signpost many many times but never got around to having a sniff around .. until this cache brought us to this lovely waterside area.. very nice at high tide and some great gardens to admire along the way.
Had some fun locating the cache as the coords were a bit off but XC came up with the goods ... mutter mumble out sniffed again.

Out hunting caches with TechnoKitten as usual.. This time on her Suzuki SV650 she calls "Splat". A great city caching vehicle.
This was our 9th cache today and our last as we were both starting to flag.
We tried to get close to this one but had to park bike in park and walk to GZ.
GPS 60CSx had location to be 16metres off so had to check out a few stumps but XC eventually found.
A nice spot that I didn't know existed.

Found on my second attempt. Not sure how we missed this one the first time as we found it fairly easily on the second attempt. We were sure we checked the location serveral times the day before. There was no pencil or pen in here so had to make a trip back to my car (forgot to bring a pen with me). While at my car a group of muggles decided to have dinner very near the location so decided to take the cache with me and returned it about 2 hours later. Luckily I live less than 5kms away. While I had it I added a toy car, a pencil and replaced a ripped zip lock bag. Took nothing. TFTC
Fun find on a fine sunny day with plenty of muggles nearby.

11.00am. The coords seem to be about twenty metres out. Had to look around using the hint. Then an easy find for the container was completely exposed. Covered it up as best I could. TNLN Thank you David & Noeline

Didn't see Kiwi TB in there.

Very cold wind blowing as I walked to the cache sits, and then had to wait for a lady to move away from the seat near by. Quick find after this

Hey there, good cache. went for a bike ride from my place to a mates and then to find the cache. Took a little to find as we did not print off description of where it was hidden, one quick phone call to wife and hey presto found it. Exchanged 1 x Carbina, 1 x Canadian lucky penny keyring, 1 x 911 tribute sticker (these will be placed in a chache to be hiden next week), left 1 x MIZONE caribina, 1 x loopy platted plastic thing, 1 x bic lighter.

Found it after intially being led to a bare tree in the middle of the adjacent grass, and then the wrong object. For a while, evidence of recent gorse-spraying and general clean up had me worried the feature might have gone completly. Eventually found the item in question. Good satellite coverage; believe the waypoint is about 15 metres due south of the true position. TNLNSL - thanks for the fun
Great views. Went right past the cache spot at first, but then a more serious bit of scuffling rewarded us. Thanks. Decided to drop off the travel bug while we were at it.
2nd unsuccessful attempt to find a new home for TB Fish Out of Water, must be jinxed or maybe not 'experienced' enough for this sort of cache
Rob, Jack and John found this cache with out too much trouble. Nice spot, I'm familiar with the area so managed to drive more or less directly there. Took a key ring and left a clip.
