We finally had time to go and check. It seems the cache has been muggled, unfortunately. We don't think it makes sense to place a new one, as that will be found as well. We'll place some new caches somewhere else soon. (The recipe remains valid of course.)

21-Feb-06
It seems we will need to check out this cache. It should be extremely easy to find this one, so something is probably wrong. Will check soon.

We pulled up at this interesting little park and followed the GPSr to a very likely location. Unfortunately after we had exhausted all likely spots we had to leave empty handed. Email sent to owner to verify location as we fell it may have gone walkabouts.
Thanks to The Antipodes, we may not have found the cache but we learnt more about an interesting little park

No joy. Sad Three of us looked and looked, without success.

Cache #4 @ 1:20pm

Even though there was a muggle doing the washing in a nearby backyard i was able to hide behind the tree and quickly sign the log, Smile

27-Nov-05
I got within 4m of GZ but had to leave it as there was a few muggles looking at me through their back window likely to be wondering why i was standing there in the rain in a thunderstorm.

Will be back shortly

18-Nov-05
be careful of the Rainbow Lorrikeets nesting near this cache.

I like the histroy behind the area. A nice simple cache, even though my GPS was telling me that GZ was down in the pool..

In town on business so I thought I would have a go at some Sydney caches.

An easy find for this one but no such luck on the other two caches I tried.

The park was realy jumping today, courtesy of some inconsiderate who thinks everyone in the neighbourhood should have to listen to his music (term used loosely) when he does. We got in and got out as quick as possible. Ordinarily I'm sure it is a nice peaceful place. A Snifter friendly cache too. Thanks guys.

09-Oct-05
There should be an apple tree there! Found it after a quick hunt around. Left a pokemon figure and Winnie the Pooh peg, took a Canadian coin and a tattoo. Thanks guys.

06-Oct-05
It was a nice surprise to discover this little bit of Australian history. Who would have though the source of the "Granny Smith" was right in our midst! A bit worried about all the neighbours, hopefully one of them is looking out for the secutity of the cache. Took Chinese medallion, left Minnesota quarter.

02-Oct-05
Out for a drive and decided to find a few caches. First of seven for the day.
Left a Chinese medallion.
Took Hong Kong Taxi TB to Central Coast.

Thanks Antipodes.

31-Aug-05
Nice one.

What do the neighbours think? have they been informed?

28-Aug-05
First cache for the day found at 11:40 when I looked again in the second most likely spot. No muggles around (the children disappeared while I was looking) until I went to replace the cache and then they came from everywhere! TNLN as I was fresh out of custard and cream. Thanks to Antipodes for a good cache in a great spot.

Some of the brothas' in a nearby crib were layin' down some smooth R'n'B. Just kickin' back, chillin' y'all dig? The vibes were pumpin' at maximum volume with all credit to the hommies at the stereo factory. Another brotha was just layin' back on the park bench, just ridin' the vibes as they flowed on by...

Not sure Granny Smith would've approved (or the neighbours for that matter). Found the cache in good condition, didn't see any birds, but that's not to say they weren't there, so continue to be careful.

Took the TB for a ride, otherwise TNLNSL.

Thanks for the hunt from The Ginger Loon.

22-Jul-05
Found this one without too much difficulty at 14:45. Saw a couple of birds in one of the other hidey-holes. The geokiddie was very impressed.
Took: kangaroo soft toy
Left: Rossendale Rambler TB and cachecard 200517

20-Jul-05
Very easy find.

TAKE NOTE:A bird is nesting in a hole that can possibly hold a cache. There are at least two eggs visible. I would take LOTS of care when looking for this cache for the time being.

Found easily, though replaced and covered a little more than it was. This cache was found accidentally by a local and his son while walking in the park several days earlier. He has left a positive note, saying that he intends to head out and buy a GPS. Great work Antipodes. TN-LN-SL and took our leave. Thanks for the cache.

Nice litlte park - never new it was there. Good hidy hole, couple of local dogs staring at us throgh the fence thought we were a bit strange wandering around - they gave up watching when it started to rain.

Sounds like a beaut apple pie recipe! The history attached to this location was really nice and made us realise what our fore-bares did in this area. Not sure about the Apple Tree though! Funny looking apple tree ! ! ! As grandparents we took our three Sydney Grandchildren and introduced them to the fun of Geocaching. They of course didn't quite know what to expect but this had only a one star rating for difficulty so was ideal for an introduction. Squeals of delight told Grandma that Grandpa and children had found the treasure. No muggles but am sure like "SWAG agg" the neighbours are beginning to wonder! Took the movie pass "Team Webguy" so will think of you when we use it. Thanks to "The Antipodes". Nice one.

his one is just a little too far from work to duck out in a lunch hour to grab so we did a bit of a detour on the way home past this park.

Easy find, signed the log and left a greater union movie pass (It expires soon so be quick!!)

Cheers

Did this on the way back to the office after visiting a customer. There were various people in the park today who appeared without warning. Not sure what the neighbours think of all the activity around their backyards.

As I sat there writing the log, I recalled Isaac Newton's encounter with an apple while sitting under an apple tree. It was disturbing to think that the things that fall from this type of "apple tree" could kill you!

Took: Bear keyring
Look: Clip keyring.

Thanks to the diametically opposed crew.

Found in the dark at 1855. After coming unstuck at "#7 Isaac's Rest" and "Fast Food Fiasco", it was nice to actually find one today. [:o)] I nabbed the Travel Bug to take further South. I saw the name of the park in the Sydway before I got there. The 'memorial' part is interesting. So, there actually was a Xxxxxx Xxxxx? Could it be the fruity one? Anyhow, thanks to "The Antipodes" for the cache.

IN: Whistle (in a zip-lock bag Wink)
OUT: Rubber stamp (and Action Scouting TB)

Hi

Actually my second visit... I've had Action Scouting TB for a couple of weeks now and study and bad weather has prevented me from putting it anywhere. So this cache is just up the road... i thought i'd pass it on and see if the next person has better luck with helping this little critter on its way.
But when i got there... there was already a TB there... so i swapped them... eeyore and i can go on a lil adventure and i wont hang onto this TB too long.

Visiting Sydney for a few days from Brisbane, so thought I'd pop out & visit a couple of close-by caches.
Found cache quite quickly on a beautiful Autumn morning.
Nice little park.
My swap was slightly too big, so took nothing today.

Thanks for the cache

An apple a day keeps the doctor away, but only if you can throw 'em straight! Sadly I was never much of a shot as a kid, so it's a good thing I like eating them so much!

Got in and found the stash without any drama. Signed the log and discovered I'd been there in time to claim the FTF! Woo Hoo! Sadly nothing small enough to swap so took nothing. Top effort for your first cache guys. Luv ya work, Antipodes!
