Sorry folks, I have to archive this one - can't get there for quite a while. Maybe another one in the future.
Yes, I intend to get up there as soon as possible and renew the cache - been tied up with all sorts of earthquake things in Christchurch. Grandalf
It seems the cache has gone missing - but who on earth would take it away?
I'm disabling the cache until I can get up there and renew it.
Cheers from Grandalf

Almost definitely that it is bad news at the hand of idiots. Shame, good position in a good place
We couldn't find this - obviously it has been muggled, but not sure who would muggle a cache here!
Have visited this cache before with a friend and walked past it many times. This time I went to log it with my son and it was not in its usual place. Could not find it anywhere.
I had been to this cache before with a friend and walked past it many times. Couldn't find it this time, it would appear it has been mugled !
17th of 21 successes on a day dedicated to caching between Yaldhurst and Arthur's Pass. A straightforward find not far along the track. #328. TFTC.
We found it after our trip to Foggy Peak. Very nice day to travelling and caching. Thanks
A very short stroll to stretch the legs. Cache safe and sound in a prickly possie. Thanks.
Last pick up of the day.Easy enough.Got wet feet so going back to motorhome for "happy hour" or two.
Well...I have wandered past this before not knowing....a nice walk to the tops....not on today...too much soft snow. thanks
Oh to be young again and on a good day be able to walk these mountains. Oh that's right didn't see them because of the rain.
Long time no see Grandalf - bet there's not many of the 'old school' left at CCC these days.

Out on a caching mission on a wet day with the MacPacParents, Sharkiefan, JustMeG & KiwiCampNut. We were so busy talking about something else as we approached that I had forgotten the cache, but sharkiefan was right on it. Cheers Grandalf for the cache.
935 - Found on a wet Queen's Birthday outing with MacPacParents, L4TB, Sharkyfan and KiwiCampNut. I bet on a nice day the view here would be stunning but not today with the clouds all closed in. TFTC
Heading back from a fun time at Castle Hill rocks. Quick find and sign at the start of an awesome looking track. Cheers.
Been past here hundreds of times. Tried to find it before but did not - GPS was having a bad day that day. Mrs Dragons Ring inadvertently found it during a stream inspection so went in to log it yesterday. Other times road-works muggles have been there fixing the road so delayed the find. Anyhow - FINALLY knocked the B off - TFTC
My 392nd cache.
Thank you for showing me that nice spot.

Over the hill to Chch to the dentist (aargh) so a few caches on the way over and the way back.
There's a lot of roadworks at the moment just at the bottom of Porters Pass, but the workmen seemed to be most intent on their coffee and newspaper so no problem.

Fourth one of the day... main purpose of this trip was to finally find a cache in the one and only region in NZ I had never cached in - the West Coast. And to hopefully let the cache I find on the West Coast be the West Coast CANZ... A great day for it too!!
A pretty nice break! Enjoyed the short walk in the absolutely stunning weather we were having that Saturday!! And the hills and everything in this are really amaze me! They are so different!
As soon as I had to pull out here though, I kinda had second thoughts about stopping... my car doesn't have a very strong engine, and so trying to get her to go any faster than about 20-30km/h approx was not happening the whole way up the hill... despite flooring her the whole way... so you can imagine my happyness when I passed the top of the road!! Lol.

Day 3 Of my ride around the lower South Island. Heading from to Arthurs Pass. Nice spot. Made it harder than it needed to be. TFTC #283
Together with my family on a vacation trip to New Zealand. Starting at Auckland airport on transfer to Christchurch we went for a roundtrip exploring the south island. This was one of many caches we found while visiting so many nice and interesting places thanks to all the caches why I want to send a thank you to all CO for the work spent. TFTC.
Big day out caching Christchurch to Arthurs Pass and back with AAMOFIDOTR. Left a ladybug and an Australian flag magnet.

A short walk to this cache during a quick stop on the way to the coast. Log book is full. TFTC.
Quick find on the way up to paddle the lake. No sheep around so didn't disturb any ewes and their lambs.
19/11/12 2:19 PM Find #1550 Cache found in good condition with quite a full log. Sorry I didn't have a spare on me but maybe the next visitor will. This is a nice spot to stop. I left a Bison Camo TB I found in Australia to continue its travels through New Zealand. Thanks Gandalf.
Heading back from Castle Hill after a bit of a hike. Quick little find on the way back home. Cheers heaps.
Our second cache of the day. Nice drive with a muggle family member to get some caches today. She found this one.
We were on our way to Arthur's Pass today and did some geocaching along the way. The gate was closed and had a sign stating "trail closed, lambing in progress". We jumped over, didn't see any lamb's or sheep and found the cache at 10:40 am.
Journeying through NZ on our first international geocaching adventure making our way to the NZ Mega at Dunedin.

NZ12. Evening was closing in, but there is always time for a cache. The short walk took me straight to the cache and I could get back to the car and the warm quickly. Thanks.

Day 3 of our NZ wander before the mega. With it raining overnight in Westport we decided to head back to Christchurch today.
Made a list of caches to tackle but had very limited internet access overnight so werent really sure what we were up for.
Hmm were a bit daunted by the no entry signs - appears it's the wrong time of the year. As we only had to go a few metres we did a little sneak across the fence and grabbed the cache.
Hope that's okay?

Lovely spot to stop before the serious hillclimb began. Absolutely stunning scenery today with lots of snow covered mountains, we just got to the bottom of the snow level at Porters Pass. But beautiful country I don't tend to see much in Australia. A quick hop over the stile hoping this part of the track wasn't on the part of the farm closed for lambing (though we had seen lots of lambs lower down) and a quick find was made. Thanks Grandalf.
On the way to the Arthur's pass we stopped at this spot. Thanks for showing us this old path
Thought I would take a friend caching, we had a ball with the rain and hail we had to contend with. Charlotte found her first cache, I think she is hooked!!!!
Little bit of snow left and lots of frost - the covering items were frozen to the ground! Quickly SL and back to warm car.
Lots of snow cover and had to keep my eyes on Baby-Organist building a snowman in the car park. That's my excuse
Found this one on our trip through the north of the southisland together with Kockers .

Manged to track this one down in the end. Had to resort to the clue as I didn't fancy sticking my hand in every single matagouri bush... Took bouncy ball, left large marble. TFTC.

Cache found with Krtik together. There we spent 6 weeks in NZ on bicycles. Nice trip thru both islands, interesting nature, wildlife, people, campsites, geocaching, etc... I'd like come back sometime...

Nice spot on a lovely day, next to a busy road. Thanks for the cache and for bringing me here.
TFTC. A worthwhile location to stop and learn about this area. Thanks for giving me a reason to stop.
16/06/2011. Touring New Zealand, stopped to give the kids some fresh air. Easy find, first in NZ. Took geocoin, going to the north island.
