I was so confident with finding this one.Anyway the calcs were done and GZ sorted which looked good.Well how do you get in there? Finally got to a broken gate and then a short walk along a narrow path to GZ. Spent a good 20mins here looking at every East point and nothing showed up.Disappointed , i will watch this one. Thanks for your cache.

13-Oct-24
I accidentally mixed up the coordinates and walked to a random nearby residential streetAfter a confusing 5 mins I recalculated and was finally able to find it hehe

05-Oct-24
Have driven past hundreds of times but never really paid attention, thanks for the lesson in architecting, coordinates were spot on and cache soon found. Tftc

I too like [ConnieandRick](https://www.geocaching.com/p/?guid=bd3b5b55-0304-4656-beb1-e0b625087cd0) had noticed the string of **DNFs** on this one. However, unlike them I was to lazy to put the effort into trying to find this one until I either saw an **"Owner Maintenance"** log or a **"Found it"** log. So I was beyond excited when I saw [ConnieandRick's](https://www.geocaching.com/p/?guid=bd3b5b55-0304-4656-beb1-e0b625087cd0) [Found it Log](https://www.geocaching.com/live/log/GL1CEE1FQ).So with needing to find a multi cache today in order to fill in a missing calendar date for [RoamingHowie's](https://www.geocaching.com/p/?guid=24963346-56c5-4daf-8308-a01f60f5a5ba&wid=6a725450-9b6f-4892-abca-126a7026759c&ds=2) challenge cache, [WCW - 95% Multi Calendar Challenge (GC9Z59M)](https://www.geocaching.com/geocache/GC9Z59M), I decided to follow in [ConnieandRick's](https://www.geocaching.com/p/?guid=bd3b5b55-0304-4656-beb1-e0b625087cd0) footsteps and give this one a go.I will have to admit that I was completely lost on this one. I couldn't figure out which two buildings the cache page was actually talking about and spent a crazy amount of time walking all around until I eventually caved and called for a PAF. Armed with a bit of a hint I was eventually able to work out a set of coordinates for GZ.However, the trouble continued. Once armed with a set of coordinates, I couldn't figure out where to go. I know the cache page mentioned *"Access to the final location is only available from the north, the southern entry is locked! Either via the road to west or sports ground to the east"* However, I kept running into fences. At one point in time I even felt like I was trespassing.I had to rely on a call back to my PAF to set me back on the right track. However, at this point my luck finally turned as the rest of my caching experience was smooth sailing. Eventually I found the proper access spot and then it was a straight forward walk to GZ and a quick search before the cache was found and the logbook was signed. It is always fun to find a cache, but to find a cache that has been around for almost 20 years is truely special. So a big thanks goes to [Facitman](https://www.geocaching.com/p/?guid=b9220bbc-3dd2-454d-ae88-65be55313f22&wid=d4d7473f-d10e-4539-a91b-155e80eff837&ds=2) for keeping alive this multi for all these years. TFTC.**Cache Maintenance Status:**The cache container was in good shape and the attachment mechanism still seem strong. All of the inner contents were nice and dry and the logbook was clean with plenty of room for future cache finders to sign.

After the 4 recent DNFs I nearly decided not to bother with this one, but so glad I did. The calculated coords were spot on and I was glad to know about the buildings and visit the GZ. What a great hide, gets a FP from me.

11-May-24
My second search here. CO claims it is still there but they have not logged that accordingly since it's been two years without being found. I cannot find anywhere. Can't confirm coordinates as CO doesn't reply. I'd be keen for the unlove but seems like a waste of time otherwise.

We have driven past these buildings a few times never really noticed them. Thanks for the info.
At GZ, we tried looking in all the corners several times but still couldn't find anything.
Perhaps we'll need to come back with some more advanced tools.
Thanks anyway Facitman and s-Facit.
Chiefton!!!

Thanks for a fun adventure and satisfying find. Would never have imagined the buildings were of architectural significance in their current state!

19-Oct-21
I’ve driven past this larger building and this bush reserve many times over the years, and wondered what they were both about.

Thanks for filling in the details Facitman and s-Facit!

What an interesting architectural story. I think I might remember the supermarket, but I never realised there was a matching residence.

As I collected the numbers I wasn’t confident that the building’s name was still the one needed. But indeed it was, and the final coordinates fell out in sensible fashion.

I crossed over to the wild side and had to circumnavigate halfway around before I discovered a way in.

What a strange hidden place!! Spotted a duck sunning itself and then crossed boardwalks and walked the narrow track as the route degraded further and further. Who comes here I wonder, if anyone?

Eventually I arrived at GZ, followed the hint and tried a couple of places without success. I then tried out my phone video skills, and on the fourth attempt I got lucky and was soon signing the logbook which was pretty full, but in great condition.

Continued along the route until jumping a couple of fences to return to the car.

What a great mini adventure. Smile

Thanks for the cache! Was a lot of fun working on the puzzle and finding such a remote area close to our house.

TFTC, really enjoyed our walk through here.
Took a while but we found what we came for!

Had to get creative to search for this one as i didnt want to disturb the local 8 legged occupants.. got the phone out and set it to record, sure enough located the cache in no time - TFTC

30-May-21
Looked around for a while with no luck but then trusted the coordinates and it was right there! Literally right round the corner from our house here so nice and easy to get to

07-Mar-21
Initially I had some trouble finding the cache.
I was about to give up when I decided have one more look in the location I thought most likely to have the cache. Now I don't know how I missed it the first time I looked there.
Thanks for the info about the building and the cache Facitman and s-Facit.

27-Feb-21
Out with Hergab69 for this one. Stopped by a locked gate but managed to find another way in. Didn't have much luck in our search so Hergab69 obtained some guidance from an expert and after more awkward searching it was found. tftc

27-Feb-21
Had this solved and decided to go get it today with Astrobef. But how to get in . A little bit of searching and maybe an unconventional way in but we got there. At GZ we looked and looked and looked. Gave in and PAF who confirmed we were in the right spot so I looked and looked and looked harder and soon found this sneaky little hide. Log signed and safely back in place. TFTC

Great day to be out and about. Today we ventured back to the west within our 25km limit, exploring within our boundaries.
Interesting buildings indeed.
Once all the information was gathered, we ventured towards gz. But how to get in?
Then I remembered a conversation with a previous finder.
Before long, we were on our way to gz. Spent about 15 mins searching, before reading the hint. That certainly narrowed it down a bit.
Finally the cache was spotted, signed and replaced.
Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache, Facitman

03-Nov-20
I love looking for the older caches so was pleased that this was on today's list. Collecting the needed information wasn't a problem, but getting into the area was. A PAF was very helpful in helping us gain access but then the hunt was on. The cache was finally found and extracted but proved more interesting to put back. Thanks for placing this cache in here. It is a shame that this great area is in such disrepair. Thank you for bringing us here and the cache.

03-Nov-20
After we had gathered the needed information and worked out our GZ, we headed towards it only to find that we had a substantial fence blocking our way.
Luckily, OHC knew of another cacher that had done this one recently and we were given instructions on how to get in.
We felt a little conspicuous here but as there weren't any muggles in attendance, it wasn't a real problem. We took the lovely stroll to GZ and spent way to long searching for the cache. Pleased to say that we did eventually locate the cache. Now, how to put it back.
Such a shame that this area has been let go to this extent.
Thanks for the cache in this interesting location.

27-Oct-20
Zero cases Melbourne! Well done. Out to enjoy the sunshine within our 25kms on this wonderful day.

I wasn’t quite sure which building to use as I could only find one... but then I worked out where they were. A silly mistake noting the answers had me moving back and forth for some time before finally realizing my mistake - yes that’s what I expected. I then almost gave up - there is no way to access this cache. One final look and aha - what about this. Was a relatively quick find after that. Been a while since this cache has been logged. Cache is still in good order. Definitely no chance of covid germs on this cache!

Thanks Facitman for placing the hide!

Streak Day #109/366
(1 March 2019 - 29 February 2020). Arrived here early this morning while on my way to work. Often drive pass here, never knew about these historical buildings. Clever and neat hide. Thanks for the fun.

Nice final location although the weeds are getting up a bit. Good size container too but TNLN. HNT

02-Feb-19
My calcs put me in there and I don't think i should

02-Jan-19
These are the most unusual buildings. I have no idea how people think up these designs. I found all the answers, and then headed off to find the cache. It took a while for me to work out how to get in to the cache's location, but once there, I found the cache quite easily.

23-Jul-18
Gathered the information pretty quickly as I’d done half of this a few weeks ago but ran out of time. Numbers looked good. Headed for GZ as instructed to find a great location for a cache that could be in country Victoria- great they are preserving pockets of land in suburbia. Am aware of the Boyd family from their association with Murrumbeena- did not know these were here though.
Thanks F And sF for maintaining this cache.

10-Jul-18
Parked nearby the false GZ and started taking notes. With one of the questions it was difficult to count so an educated guess was made and confirmed from another vantage point. Plug in the new WP. Relocate nearer to GZ and start walking. Found the gate open and followed the gps. Keeping the hint in mind the location was soon found and the prize recovered. Dipped some trackables. TNLN SL. Thanks for the adventure and hunt.

09-Jul-18
After circling the fence line I eventually found the entry point to the Wetlands. A very good hide indeed. Very well constructed. I seem to be about 7 to 10 m away from the coordinates though. But I found it in the end. A large mirror would be most useful. A lot of neck craning. Thanks for the cache and the fun.

15-Jun-18
Accompanied with crank1 for caching day in Ashburton/Burwood area. Very freezy day but we still continue to do some caches to find. Puzzle solved and found it. Thanks Facitman and s-Facit for the multi.

Cold day today but we are happy to go out today
Thanks for the cache

06-May-18
We stopped for the clues. Paid a visit to the local business while we were there. Worked out the co-ords ,then jumped the fence and made our way to GZ where it was found shortly after.

Grateful for the jump the fence logs. TFTC

Thanks Facitman & co! Nice little mutlti sog12 put us onto after a coffee catch up at Gardiners Gateway which was a disappointing DNF. Interesting buildings! Found with Jimmytherat.

TFTC Facitman and S. Facit. Great to find this one after 2xdnf’s, with most welcome encouragement and support from sog12. Jimmytherat with Noelle04.

Pass these buildings all the time and would not have thought they were historic. Very interesting.
Found cache at exact coordinates. Good camo. Left some bracelets.
TFTC and history lesson.

19-Aug-17
The GeoPup j-facit and I visited today while waiting for s-facit's Netball game to start. The cache is in good condition and hidden as designed, no maintenance required. Access to the cache area is still restricted to a northerly approach

12-Jun-17
Second time but no luck. Searched everywhere matching hint but could not see it. Last find 3 months ago. Is it there?

Nice quick little multi. We got some coords but all gates in were locked and the area looks neglected. We jumped the locked gate followed the path and soon had the cache in hand and signed log with mark9375 TFTC

Me and dad had recently dropped my sister (kate) at the nearby karate dojo

We have two options

1: Go back home
2: Cache!
Without a thought we went to go. Find some caches.....

This was one, we gathered all the clues and had to recalculate once, awesome buildings by the way.

After we had coordinates we took a stroll over the GZ coming across a locked fence.

After calculating the velocity, speed and angle of the jump, we jumped... It was perfectly timed.... After a quick search the cache was found we signed the logbook and put it back where we found it, pretty cool area.

Thanks for bringing us here

Tricky cache but finally found it. Tftc

19-Feb-17
Thanks, we used to live in the area but didn't know the story of these buildings. But we had great fun

14-Feb-17
After having had some trouble with F is for Frog I had set this aside as more of a quest type cache rather than a lock it in and she'll be right type of cache. As it turned out after identifying the correct buildings and taking the side path in (hey, if they're going to lock the gates....) the cache was found in the second place I looked.
Well done for maintaining it for this long, Facitman.

18-Jan-17
Second attempt at this one has been successful. After confirmation that my calculations were correct and with dieback of the spring regrowth the cache was easily located and the logs signed.

#534 - 7pm
When I lived in this neighbourhood many moons ago, these buildings always struck me as rather odd - sort of army style shedding. I had no idea they would be heritage listed!!!
So today, the required maths had me loitering near someone's back fence, which is (just quietly...) never a good thing! I soon discovered my mistake and found the cache quite quickly and in great condition. No problems with access, though I did lose the trail at one point and began imagining various snake scenarios!
Thanks Facitman and s-Facit for a really clever hide. Well played guys!!

03-Jan-17
Several months ago I attempted this multi, but my calculated GZ let me to some random trees and nothing matching the hint. On my way back to the car, from a different angle I noticed that I got E wrong. I didn't have time to go back but I later recalculated the coords, to find another day.
Today was that day, and convenient as I'm doing multi month. I approached along a trail from the west which led me right to GZ. I was empty handed after a short search but kept looking and there it was.
Thanks for pointing out these buildings, which I never really noticed before.

Omegaman1971
Out and about with Happy Pants after a long day at work.
Had to do some fence jumping for this one. But got the prize in the end.
Cheers for the cache

03-Dec-16
Visited the cache today and was happy to find it still in place and ready to be found.
Access to GZ is still best achieved from the north!

19-Nov-16
Certainly looks to have been moved on and whilst the clue confirms likely location the area is not generally accessible (locked off) so probably a good time for an archive.

Will log needs maintenance in the meantime...

19-Nov-16
Definitely time for a CO visit to decide this cache's future

19-Nov-16
I'll will make a maintenance visit and consider my options depending on what I find. Stay tuned!

10-Oct-16

D is for Didn't find.
Did the math, studied the map, made my way in via the open fence section and proceeded to my calculated GZ. Hmmm, should have worn the wetsuit, goggles, snorkel and flippers.
Anyway, my GZ looks newer than the surrounding materials and there is nothing that indicates that a cache lives here.
Squished my way back to the car feeling most dejected.
Rechecked all the math, but still got the same result.
I'll keep an eye on it and see if anyone else finds it.

06-Oct-16
Having completed the architectural perspective, I headed for GZ and eventually found a way in. It certainly is a wet land in need of some TLC. At GZ the area was heavily overgrown, GPS was not particularly helpful, and after feeling around for a while I abandoned the search.

17-Jul-16
Solved this one a while back, but had difficulty reaching GZ. Returned today and approached from a different direction (Cassinia Av), and had far less trouble. There is a small fence which walls off the area (a nature reserve I think), and since I could see where I needed to be I just jumped it. Exiting the "correct" way felt a bit like crossing over private property but I don't think that's the case.
I liked the way the cache was held up off the ground! It should last a long time like this Smile
TFTC, and the architecture/history lesson!

13-Jul-16
I returned today, after the recent CO check (thanks for that Facitman!) and some three months after putting together the coordinates, and found the well-hidden cache. I think my gadget had me a long way south of the cache last time around or it just wouldn't settle very well, such that my search efforts were spread too thinly across a wide area. I was plagued by none of that sort of thing today. And it was a much quicker affair. Thanks for showing me the architectural curios at the starting coordinates Facitman, and the area around GZ. Pretty sure I'd not really noticed either in the past!

05-Jun-16
Took me too long to make a maintenance visit but at least it was a positive outcome. Quick visit today confirmed that some work has been done to the path so it's now an easier walk and the cache is still in place, nice and dry and ready to be found. The southern entrance is still locked but access from the north is clear.

05-Apr-16
Offline until I can check!

03-Apr-16
I'm having really bad luck with multis all of a sudden. I ended up at a very plausible GZ but saw no cache in any of the obvious places. Then consulted the hint and previous logs and concluded it *had* to be the right spot. I concur with the previous log; there seems a fair chance it's been tampered with.

27-Mar-16
had to walk around to find an entry point into the fenced area. I am pretty sure I did the calculations OK and ended up in the only spot which made sense, considering the hint, but nada. there are signs of some boards being replaced and I suspect it is gone.

07-Feb-16
Another day to fill in February and I'd run this multi down a couple if weeks ago. GPS was exact on the N-S coords but was telling me to go bush in the E-W coords. I obeyed the stay off the wetlands and grabbed the cache, TFTC Facitman and S-Facitman.

04-Feb-16
Enjoyed working out the coords at these interesting structures which had to be examined from a number of vantage points to ensure we had the right answers. We had worked out possible GZ but came back on a night when we needed to fill a gap on our P366. Enjoyed this secluded little reserve. TFTM

Chasing multi-caches and mysteries this month. I decided to head to the area in which I had a heap of solved mysteries due to the recent mega event, to try my hand at 31 by the end of January. This one is still here, all good and ready to be found! Thanks for the cache Facitman.

I have decided to concentrate on multis for a while. Hopefully I may get enough completed to qualify for the multi monthly challenge.
Today was a very wet and miserable day but at least it kept the muggles away.
A quick find. TNLN. TFTC.

Still there, but the pen has died.

20-Jul-15
Thank you Facitman and s-Facit for checking that it was still there for me! As promised, I was back today to make the find. This time my GPSr had me a couple of meters north of where I was last time, and I made the find! A fantastic way of finding it, the install must have been really finicky, but certainly explains the longevity of the cache! Thank you so much for this multi and hide, I really enjoyed learning about the architecture and discovering a forgotten park.

18-Jul-15
I had a few minutes spare post-netball so I quickly made a visit and can confirm that all is well, cache is still in its hiding place.

10-Jul-15
Well it was into Ashwood for a sunset caching adventure. After walking along the same 10m of High Street Road to get the numbers, I was soon walking to GZ. Was glad I was there on the school holidays, as the northern entrance seems to be on scup grounds. Climbed over some trees that had fallen over the path and got to the board walk. Unfortunately, when I get there, I couldn't find the cache. Got in my knees and checked all the corners and possible places with my phone flash light, but no dice. Thanks for all the work that went into the hide, and I hope to be back when I know it's back!

Find 2075
29/05/2015 5:57:00 PM

Out with Stemicmitsar for our regular Friday night/Saturday morning run but this time we were men on a mission. We were out hunting Multis so that we would both qualify for a Multi Challenge cache.
A ten year old cache couldn't be passed up and so I attacked this cache with gusto. The information was gathered and GZ calculated. Getting to GZ presented a bit of a challenge and it's a mystery to me why the south gate is locked but over I went and the cache was found not long after.
Discovered the TB inside.

Thank-you to Facitman for placing this geocache

03-May-15
Hmmm yes this was interesting. I had a friend in high school who lived in the area and had passed these buildings many times. I just thought they were this way because they were cheap to construct! So thanks for highlighting the history behind them. A few calculations and we drove to the suggested west entrance. We passed the "NO TRESSPASSING" sign, ventured across the grass, and found the track that led straight to GZ. Even then we needed the hint for this clever placement. Left a TB. Thanks Facitman and s-Facit for the interesting cache and nice placement.

Great work, great spot, good hiding place searched for a while Julius Pompei found it with nick.peps. Hand to jump a couple of fences and bush bashing

Good hide. After a lot of pressure to give up and bad attitude from mates I eventually located it. Great spot

Find #794 (Multi March #9)

Tarbit had been out walking so once she got back I headed out to check out a few multis out East after dark. My self imposed Multi March challenge (31 multi caches in the 31 days of March) was the focus tonight. This was the first of 5 finds. I'm glad I had done a little research first or I might not have picked these buildings to be anything special! I collected the numbers I needed and headed towards GZ. Doesn't look like the area has been open to the public for some time but that just made it easier to scale the gate and not be disturbed. No problem with the find although the cache was covered in ants that I had to keep flicking off my hands. Took nothing, left nothing, signed log and visited a couple of TBs before popping it back in place. Thanks for the cache Facitman.

Found with day1976 after the event nearby. A nice forgotten place. Tftc

01-Mar-15
What a nice combination. Quaint, yet slightly cool original co-ords with some nice and easy calculations to do followed by a mad dash across a busy road jump two fences and a bit of a bush bash. What more could you ask from a cache!

Thanks Facitman!

Suscoe's 13th find of 29 for today as we wandered around the Eastern suburbs.
It was a wet start to the day but the rain turned to drizzle and then it stopped with a heavy sky and no sun for the day.
Not many folks out walking today with the weather the way it was.
Gathered what was needed and took in the heritage!
Interesting constructions.
Did the numbers and then the trip to GZ took a bit of creative negotiating.
The cache was safe and sound with great Co-ords today.
Thanks to Facitman for this interesting Multi.

It took a a short while to figure out which buildings we were supposed to be looking at. None the less we gathered all the clues quickly and hopped a couple fences and got to GZ. Bit of a shame the cache wasnt suspended but it was great all the same. Found with megwilson, TFTC!

This one is very close to where I grew up and I've driven past it too many times to count lately; I had to have it! Reading the cache description, I knew where it would take me, but where exactly? Well, I had to jump a padlocked gate to get in there and it was rather uncomfortable to search for at the gz with the overgrown foliage but I made it. This one isn't for kids or people who can't climb a high fence. TFTC Facitman.

Out caching in the rain this afternoon to try to get all my August souvenirs. Collected all the info pretty easily then the fun started as I tried to find my way into gz. Got there eventually as the rain picked up so got pretty wet searching. The retainer came off on one end as I retrieved it and I had nothing on me to fix it. Signed and replaced the cache although it's just sitting on the ground now.
Thanks Facitman for the cache. I like the buildings.

An interesting pair of buildings, which I've often driven past, but never studied.
A good puzzle, suitable for the geokids.
A rather difficult entry to near GZ
A great hiding place (we needed the hint and looked a few times in the right place before finding it)
Took a while to find a blank page to sign on - might be time for a new log book.

After quickly gathering the clues we solved the cords and attacked gz. It wasn't the easiest gz to reach but once we were in the cache was in out hands. Good to see good sized cache containers. Tftc tnln sl

Find 1144 at 23:08. I was out caching with Burge, Scarecrow_01 and Spartacus Al tonight. This was find number 6 of 13. It didn't take long to gather the clues for this one but accessing GZ seemed to be the hardest part! Once we eventually got through, we managed to locate the well hidden container after a bit of searching guided by the hint.

I have passed by this location many times and today it was the day to tackle this cache. We parked near the wp1 and gathered the required numbers but we had the resident muggles sitting out the front of the very building having a morning coffee. We did a quick pass up and then back and I think we got a couple of interesting looks as we hoovered around the area doing he sums. We nutted out the final co-ord's and headed off to the final gz, again under watchful eyes. We soon came up with the cache and signed the log and then we took the long way back to our car. Thanks Facitman for the cache and the history about the building and its architect. A very enjoyable multi!

I got the clues for this one some time ago when riding home on the bike. This morning I thought it was about time I crossed this one off the list (now that it’s a bit lighter in the mornings). On the way to work I parked nearby and hopped over the fence to GZ. It was a nice quiet peaceful search as Muggles with dogs are not allowed; which usually is a problem at this time of morning. Found the cache in good condition with lots of Goodies. I didn't take anything as I forgot to bring something to add. Thanks for showing me the strange but interesting architecture. Not my style though and on the hot day when I picked up the clues, it looked as if these places could get really hot inside. Thanks Facitman.

Well that was fun! I'd been wondering what was in there for years, so what a good way to find out. Interesting to find out more about those buildings too.

Initially decided to just stroll around looking for access but eventually actually read the guidelines and then had no trouble. Cache in good condition. Thanks for orchestrating this adventure on my way home from work Smile
