Three muggles and myself had a pretty good go at this. We tried a number of possibilities as per the hint. I am also guessing it may no longer be here
Several places that match the hint. Searched all without success. Given that nobody has found this one for a while I fear it may have gone.
Had a look today in between hiking days and after a kayak trip in the Kenepuru sound but didn't find the cache. We think it may not be here due to the recent earthquake and floods that have caused widespread damage. A check by the owner or someone nearby who's found it would probably be good.
We went for a house hunt to the Marlborough sounds. After seen a lot of houses, decided that Marlborough was not a place to live but more for the tourist. (for us)
After visiting the windy wharf, on our way back took this cache

After a 5 hour walk to Lochmara Cafe for lunch we feel we've earned the reward of a cache. Beautiful day to walk on our Queen Charlotte track biking adventure "rest day".
Found it on our new zealand tour in February, thank you for hiding a cache in this beautyfull area!
[green] What a day! First I decide to go to the sounds, mainly to do two caches that I had missed earlier, and place one while I was out that way, Then I find I have a corrupted load in my GPS, I can navigate, but a description or hint causes it to lock up. Luckily I have my cellphone, so I load all the caches that I might do into that, then half the time leave it in the car (which is okay, usually I don't need a hint, but reading the description is often nice). I expected the trip to up to Titirangi to be mostly dirt road and long distances, but was rather surprised at how far the seal went, and how far Titirangi isn't, really. Not that I got there. I tossed up staying the night and continuing Sunday, but decided not. Saved for another day.
The hint is wildly inaccurate here. I thought of moving the cache back to where the hint suggested but didn't. I'll probably be up this way again in the next few months, if the owner wants me to move it back.

Found it with "FrenchSuperTrampNiko" on our hiking Te Araroa trail

Out we are to discover this very area, great to be here
Found the cache, but not there where the hint points, but 59cm left from sign, well covered with rocks

A Saturday trip into the Sounds for a day out and lucky old Kenepuru was the choice. Although nightowl19 hasn't been too well the last couple of days she should be O K for the trip. . . . . . . wrong. A bit of travel sickness from all those windy roads with twists and turns resulted in a stop for a clear out before we headed onwards. Not a massive caching day today but tuna sandwiches, cups of tea (of course) four cache and some new places visited, bargain.
Have been here before but missing the key information. A bit of research last night yielded the hint photo which yielded the cache today, fair exchange
Nice place up here

#10246. This could have been the second cache of the day, but we missed the turn and decided to do it on the way back (so it ended up being the 21st and last of the day). Troodles did good work researching the logs, and said I should see if I could view the spoiler photo on my phone. Luckily reception was OK (bit of a lottery in these parts) and before long the photo was downloaded. Even with the photo it still took a bit of finding as it had been buried. Hopefully the cache is now a bit easier to spot. TFTC.
We arrived to find a couple of people sitting on the seat beside the memorial, with a direct view of GZ, so we discretely searched the areas where we were hidden from view. Once they were gone, we could get stuck in. Luckily I had done some research of prior logs and noted ladyangie's log and spoiler photo. Most helpful as we were then able to pinpoint which sign to search by (there were lots to choose from). No sign of any hole, so retrieved my walking pole from the car boot and started prodding. Found a stone below the surface, and on excavating, found something plastic well buried underneath the stone. Yessss, the cache.
Have replaced it in the same spot, but have built a cairn of 3 stones and a bit of wood to mark the spot, it's well hidden but should be recognizable by a cacher. Good to find an older cache in the area. 21st find of the day, TFTC.

Hadn't got the recent details; in a hole, by the sign, covered with a rock so no chance of a find today
Nice monument though

Found it! Day 5 of our Queen Charlotte walk. It is a very imposing monument and we took a solemn moment. Muggle Heather found this after we read some recent logs about a new hiding spot. TFTC SL
Many thanks as previously noted is in new position, different to the official hint
Wahoo. A Cap10xs cache. That's special. Our 7th. Followed the hint and was unable to locate. Then I spotted ladyangie's log. Most welcome it was. Down a deep hole under a rock right next to the sign folks.
I was intrigued with the memorial. No names on it. Just the dates of the war(s). It looked like plaques of names had been there. Quite a few people walking up the hill from the Portage to catch the ferry from Torea. Quite a grunt, especially in this heat.

Found it after a long search. Hint wasn't quite accurate we thought. See Photo for Spoiler

Hunted around for ages fav from us as we were about to give up the other halve found
Called here on the way back from a drive to Crail Bay today. I shouldn't have looked at the hint, it isn't relevant any more and I looked in the wrong place instead of seeing the obvious staring me in the face. Signed log, TFTC
Thanks for this nice cache. Made our evening on Cowshed Campsite much more exciting
Second walk up this hill. Should have checked the geo-caches yesterday. Let friends hunt for and discover this. Perhaps new members!!! TFTC
Walked up from Cow Shed Bay. Arrived to find a van blocking the exit of the track and 2 tourists asleep in the sun on the monument. The van proved useful to keep me hidden from them. Had just replaced the container when a motorbike raced waking the muggles so i then went to check out the monument TFTC

Nice to have a target after a long walk. With a plethora of signs and poor GPS signal, eventually found it. Dropped off TB as this cache seems to be visited fairly frequently. Will log the TB once I have internet. TFTC

Early morning walk up the hill from Portage and had to wait while a bunch of walkers went by, then an easy find.

Found after a long day of walk.
Knowing there was a cache to be found at the end helped me through the day.

Walked up from the Portage this afternoon, sunny but without traffic.
Cache found easily in a great place. Great cache name, reflecting and meditative.
Left a few travellers.

Walked the Queen Charlotte Track and couldn't go by without logging the cache. Thanks a lot!
Down at Portage for a couple of nights with my wonderful wife celebrating our 38th wedding anniversary. I can't believe she's put up with me that long! Today we did a lovely walk out to Black Rock and picked up a couple of caches on the way back (as you do on your wedding anniversary). Nice easy find for this one. TFTC
Had bikes with us to go on the track but map showed big as hills in both directions from here so found the cache and opted for the easier intermediate track from mistletoe
Had another cache loaded on the GPS and noticed the cache nearby so nearly missed this one. Started searching the wrong sign as didn't zero in on GZ but a quick find once I realised my mistake.
Solemn is right. I was quite shocked at how many names are here for what was probably a sparcely populated area. What a waste of lives and I can't even imagine what it must've been like to leave this paradise for the various trenches. TFTC #4556
With the forecast to good to be true off we went for a weekend camping at the Sounds. Nice little detour here and a focus on something I never noticed before. TFTC
A quick dash up the hill to look for this before the guide urged us along. Took the dummy TB - might need to do a dummy spit before the day is out - long hike to Anakiwa to catch the 4pm boat. Left Aussie snake. TFTC
Walking the beautiful Queen Charlotte Track and enjoying views, the colour of the sea, blue skies and very hot weather. Some caches pretty easy to find, some DNF´s and some not available due to many mugglers, especially on the last leg.

Found this box at the starting point of our day-walk on the QCT. Cache was almost without cover, tried to hide it a bit better.

Thought to check behind the left-most significant on the way back over the saddle.
Were on a school trip and one of the teachers were real into geocaching. Found this one then.
First we were looking in the wrong bush but we found it eventually.

Great ride. Didn't have any caching gear with me, but there was no missing this one. TFTC
We walked from Torea to Kenepuru saddle on this chilly (but dry) day, and started the day with this cache. First spent some time looking at the wrong sign, but it didn't take too long to find the stash, TFTC!
Soggy stickers and poppy removed. Sorry had nothing to add but these items had degraded.
Stayed at Debretts while walking QC track. Easy find. Contents a little damp and no TB to be seen. TFTC.
Group of pople resting at the cache site when we came flying down that amazing downhill on our bikes so carried on down the road to our accomadation for the night at DeBretts -wonderful and collected in the morning before pushing [XX(] bikes up the hill on the other side. tftc
First i searched behind the wrong sign. Easy find afterwards. Cache is wet, the logbook is dry. I have seen no tb. TFTC
Nice easy find on a very quiet day up here in paradise

Zowaar! Been here yesterday, will be here tomorrow, and found ourselves here today as well, so found the cache today. Great fun finding this one, with a TB in it as a bonus for our new geocaching member who found the container. Tftc, Simone
Having taken a boat trip to avoid walking and camping in cloud we were still fairly fresh when looking for this one. Difficult to avoid muggles the coming past but a few international search distraction techniques translate well.
tried to get the cache yesterday afternoon, but all the trampers coming from all directions and cars everywhere. Found it today in the morning.TFTC
We had a lazy day exploring the sounds with our car today and making some geocaches. This is a great viewpoint. Thanks
Good way to start the day. First thing just onto the track off the road on our 3rd day.
The log will follow later, sorry.
