No cache here for me today, and pretty obviously not for anyone else either. It needs to be either maintained or archived so that someone else can place a cache in this great spot.

Had a really good hunt and were pretty sure we were in the right place but NO FIND.

Short look between muggles. No recent finds so called it quits. Tftc

The Platform end of the walkway looks fairly new??????

Enjoyed the walk in to the lookout, and particularly enjoyed the sweeping views - well worth the walk! But didn't find any cache. My primitive temporary instrument isn't at all reliable but had a good search around where the hint indicated.
BTW, my elderly mother was unable to make the trip due to the steps. This is more than a 1 star terrain.

Old Boots and I had a very good look for this one in between muggles and looking at the view.

Can not come up with any other excuses other than being blind, GPS working well, never mind, i will be back.

Found on our first trip over the Takaka hill. TFTC.

This was an unforgettable view. We stopped here on our tour of South Island, minutes after getting a phone call from halfway around bringing news of a sad family event. This made us think about how small we are in this huge and beautiful world. This is a cache we will remember.

Great overlook! Well worth the stop and short hike. Geocache was an added bonus. TFTC.

We were on our way to Wainui Bay and stopped for this, but it started pouring, so we decided to hit it on the way back. When we finally got to lookout, it was getting dark and we almost didn't find the GC. One advantage, very few muggles about at sunset.

#1076 Down for Easter. Heading for Bainham overnight. Wow what views, took a few pics, will add to log when we return home. A few muggles around, so waited it out. Quick find. SL TFTC.

Hint didn't help. GPS also unhelpful here. Hint still left too many options with a negative result. Too many muggles. Have better things to do.,

What a change of weather! In the morning it was pooring down and in the afternoon the sun was out.
We did this cache with beautiful sunshine and enjoyed the view. Cool spot!

This cache would have been missed if we hadn't stopped here and checked (the nuvi only warns of caches within 200 mtrs at present). The views are terrific from the lookout - we took several photos from there for the memory. SL - no swaps. Thanks to Q moto for the cache

Arrived at carpark and there's another vehicle park there so a quick walk along a lovely spot on the hill expecting to see other people at gz but no a quick find and off we went back to the car tftc

Grabbed this one at 1125 on 6-9-10, after mooching around admiring the view until a bunch of muggles left the area. hadn't stopped here before, but have driven past loads of time for work. Was amazing to look out into Tasman Bay and see the discolouration due to the heavy rain we've had the last few days.

Was expecting to see the caches namesake whilst here but was not that fortunate. An absolute fantastic view from the look out and im sure ill be back again to enjoy this. Thanks for the cache and bringing me to this spot

Wow what can I say what a nice spot for a cache, great views, managed to get some great photos just a few metres from GZ, was surprised how close the earthcache was from us. But so close yet so far, will have to leave it till the next visit, TFTC TNLNSL (1688)

I must have driven past here umpteen timed over the past 25 years but have never taken the time to visit the lookout.What sight today, the contrast between the blue sky green hills and red shade cloth was a site made for some interesting pics. TNLN SL TFTC.

Well, we thought that this was going to be cache #1500, but we didn't have our count quite right and it was the previous cache. This was an amazing scenic view on a lovely sunny day. Love the rock formations too and the legend about their formation. TNLN TFTC

Beautiful day, lovely walk and stunning views back to Motueka. Did the track with Crusaderwoman without GPS to see the view and decided that there must have been a GC in such an obvious GZ. Back to the bus, fire up the computer and sure enough we went back and found this about 1 metre away from where we had looked on the first length of the track. Got a couple of curious looks and comments from people wondering why we had done the track again but we assured them the view was worth it!!^%$#@#!

Found with Bloos Boy. What an impressive patio deck, just needs a house. Took out for Bloos boy swat a police car stamper. Couldn't find Pink Ribbon Travel bug.

Fab view. We were there alone so we had plemty time to find it. I was successful after getting hint. Thank you.

#1683 Great view down to the Riwaka Resurgence where I started the day's caching. Just got the cache back in place before a hoard of muggles turned up. TFTC DS8300

Kept muggles occupied by taking their photos while others in the team dealt to the cache. TFTC

Younger Emvy_Us members had to keep minibus load of aussie tourist muggles distracted whilst cache retrieved. TFTC

WHat a fantastic view! Thanks for gettung us there. The cahce is definitely a safe distance back from the platform and close to the boardwalk ast stated, so no need to fall off anywhere Lots and lots of muggles!

Driven over this hill numerous times, but never bothered to stop. Many thanks for providing an incentive to stop - what a lovely walk and to be rewarded with such an amazing view! Oh bother, left the camera in the car, so will have to return. Bitterly cold wind, but clear and sunny. TFTC

Nice easy find on a very cloudy day - went to look out all we could see was dense grey cloud above and below us....we will return again to view the scenery.

Have lost count of the number of times I have done this walk but never get sick of it. The view is amazing!

A quick stop off on our way North. A good opportunity to stretch our legs, and a fantastic view at the lookout. Some very interesting rock formations too - later we visited the caves just up the road and heard more about the marble erosion, sinkholes, etc. A nice easy find with the clue - many thanks.

Baby bear managed to retrieve with the benefit of his rather small paws (he's only two and a half !). Lovely lookout. TFTC.
