I am regretfully archiving this cache since there's been no response from nor action by the cache owner within the time frame requested in the last reviewer note.
Hi BuzzTasman
This geocache was brought to my attention as being in need of an owner maintenance visit and after my previous reviewer note, there has been no owner response. The cache owner needs to check on this cache ASAP and either replace it or archive it, after picking up any geo-litter. See the [maintenance section of the Geocache Listing Requirements/Guidelines](http://www.geocaching.com/about/guidelines.aspx#listingmaintenance).
I've added this cache to my watchlist, and I will check back in four weeks to be sure that the maintenance has been done. In the meantime, I have temporarily disabled this listing. When the maintenance is completed, the owner can enable the listing by clicking on the link below the cache name to return it to active status.
Whatever your intentions, please **post a note** here on the cache page (not email) to let us know that you are still active and maintaining the cache. If a month passes without seeing a response, then I'll assume that this listing should be archived.
Please note, that if a cache is archived due to lack of owner maintenance, the cache is unable to be unarchived.

Thanks found it, a bit off gps but in that area. Go into trees through picnic table area side.
Compass all over the place!! And write up didn’t down load, had a look around to no avail!
Best cache I have found so far! Well worth a look. Be prepared to go off the beaten track a bit but the bush is lovely! Thanks guys
Headed out today to target a cache we needed to complete a challenge. As it was in an area we hadn't cleared out we decided to do a loop around to pick up a couple of DNFs that were now active and any other caches we came across.
After grabbing some lunch in Murchison, we bought it down to the river to eat it. Once finished we headed off to hunt for this cache. Although it was a nice easy find, the listed TB was not in it. I did drop Blue Marble TB in for the next finder though. tftc

A planned geocaching trip with specific targets in mind.
1: The final 2 caches to fill my D/T grid
2: The last 5 caches available (all in the South Island) to meet the NZ Jasmer challenge GC4R9Z6
3: Get as many caches as possible in a day (Solo)
I had no timetable and only a vague route (Christchurch - Dunedin- Invercargill). So after 20 days of sleeping in my tent/car I arrived home having traveled 4500km and visited some interesting places. Met some great people. I had found over 650 caches. That was a lot of park. Jump out out. Find cache sign and return. Then on to the next. All this done by myself. Also attended an event and had 2 FTF
Mission 1 and 2 were achieved and I had a best day of 153 caches. All this done by myself.
Day 18 Greymouth to Murhison 16 caches found. After checking in at camp ground I walked over and collected this one. Thank you for the placement.

Thanks for a pretty nice place. Regards from other side of the earth. -/out yellow Duck. We take IT for a trip
Just as well for the hint as I was walking around a bit. The GPS doesn't like the tree cover but I do! Thanks for the placement BuzzTasman
Nice hide in a nice area...thanks Buzztasman...first time to this area ..really nice thanks
Stopping for a leg stretch with a 2 yr old, this was a perfect spot. Just dipped our toes today but will be back another hot day for a swim. On with the journey home to Tasman from Christchurch.
Thanks very much!
Thanks very much!
Day 5 and last day of Nosynel's and my geotrip through the Molesworth and back through the Lewis. Nice to have my son's Toyota Hilux for this adventure. Today we are heading to Christchurch after staying the night in St Arnaud. Thanks for the cache. Looks like there may have been an access way to the river by here once but no longer.
The big Molesworth circuit is in progress. Today is day four of Jude _E and my geotour, our final day. Thanks to her kind son we have use of a Toyota Hilux, extremely helpful indeed. We stayed a night at St Arnaud last night.
There was no real goal for today apart from to get back in one piece and find some geocaches.
Sadly there is no large event in New Zealand in 2019 but there are a few Mega events planned in Australia. I plan on going to the OzGeomuster in July. To find out more visit this site: https://www.ozgeomuster.com.au
If you can't make Aussie. New Zealand will have another large event in 2020 in Auckland. I will keep you posted in my logs.

Got a bit confused by all the campsites around. Great spot by the river...wish we.had brought our togs! Boy made the find once we found the log. All is well. TFTC!
great wee cache!
I have taken the trackable and will either drop it in a cache in Hanmer or Nelson.

A quick jaunt down to Westport to see some friends and to see how life is these days on the wild West Coast What a cool spot! Definitely adding this to our plan for this years Summer roadie! Enjoyed a wee wander round. Find #2 for the trip, Dropped TB. TFTC
This cache was found on my great journey by campervan from Christchurch to Auckland. All good at GZ. Nice and plesant park and grab. And also I had lovely bath in the river here! Cache to remember. FP awarded. TFTC
Very nice spot - spent the night next door in the caravan park with lovely river views. Left trackable

Let the Adventure beginn. Calli87 goes to New Zealand and Australia!!!
**DAY 10**
Today we went with our campercan "Gandalf" to Marahau to watch the Abel Tasman National Park. Arrived we enjoyed the great view of the water. The visit had already paid off. Afterwards we went with the CM towards the campsite. After we had arrived and eaten, I looked briefly at the map and saw 2 tradis in the immediate vicinity. Of course I had to collect. Here the GPS signal was very disturbing. But in the end I could still find the geocache.
Nach dem Signieren des Logbuches habe ich wieder alles ordentlich zusammengepackt und in sein Versteck gelegt.
Vielen Dank sagt Calli87.

We stayed the night at this camp. Mrs Rattll was up before the other two, to grab the close by caches.
This one was only about 100mts from our tent, & with no other campers near by & most of the camp site still asleep, this was a nice straight forward find.
We left a pet rock - a grey whale. Thanks for putting this cache here BuzzTasman.

Hmm the log at gz didn't seem large enough for a regular container. Looked closer to the river with more success, Cheers.
Time for a drive to Nelson. It has been a while since we have been this way and there are a few new caches!!
Thanks to the CO's for the hides. Cheers.

Well a few months ago I didn't expect to be down this way quite so soon, but after having completed the requirements for the DGSc Challenge my very Good Wife surprised me for my birthday with some tickets from Hamilton to Nelson return so that we together could have a caching weekend. (now those that may know my wife wil understand that the terms caching and weekend wil ever rearly be used in the same sentence).
So of course the weekend was more about sightseeing in the limitied time that we hand and finding the 25 caches that were on my list which mainly included the older caches, earthcaches and large caches. In total we found 30 caches and covered 870kms while enjoying being in afar different environment than we were used to.
So taking the remaining part of the Friday off of work, and arriving in Nelson at 3pm it was a chance to grab the rental car and start by making our way to Reefton where we would spend our first night. The second night was to be spent in Punakaiki, so tonight we head to St Arnuard for a bit of a relax by the lake
This cache being the nineteenth of the weekend and grabbed it after lunch. Plenty of Muggles about none that were to close to GZ. In Murchison we saw the first honest Antique Shop "Rust to Dust"
Thanks for the cache, Thanks for the placement

16.30: Pretty historic cache in the outskirts of Murchison. At first we were unsure whether the area would be private property or not. The sign at the camp side wiped away all our doubts. The search in the forest took a moment as the coordinates appeared to be some metres off. The hint showed us the well filled box in the end.
Weather: overcast, low clouds, rain, 7°C;
Wheelchair: almost no, pathless forest, about 40m remaining, no view to cache;
State: all good.
IN & OUT: nothing.
Thank you!

Not much of a view and a GPS struggling under the canopy but find the log and the cache is yours...tftc
Travelling today from Blackball to Nelson, we did not have a lot of time to spare so only stopped for a few caches along the way. After reaching Murchison we parked our camper so we could have our lunch before finding the 2 caches nearby. It wasn't long before we got a visit from a woman driving a golf cart type buggy, who informed us we couldn't overnight there, we had to go into the campground further up the road! Assured her we were only stopping for lunch. Once we had eaten we walked to the river to look for this cache. Some kids were jumping off a large rock into the river, and from the sounds they were making the water was very cold. Our GPS took us to the general area, and the hint helped us to locate the cache. Nice to pick up some of these older ones, thanks.
Day 7 of an upper South Island holiday from Rotorua with sveppi. Left St Arnaud this morning heading to wherever we end up depending on the weather (it looks like it's going to rain so we might drive rather than hike). We were attracted here by the container size, and by the description it sounded like it would be an old one. And it was. Love old caches and regulars and it's a good hiding spot. Not an instant find as the GPS was struggling a bit between the clouds and the trees, but the hint was fine. Favourite point from me, TFTC
Stopped as we were in the area and love to pick up the older caches. Good to see this one still in play, well done for the obvious good hiding spot. TFTC
Couldn't find cache. Located this lid at GZ and wondered if it belonged to the cache?
After some planning Shannonp1 and I got sorted for a mission into areas we hadn't been. Up to Hanmer through the Molesworth to Blenheim, down the Wairau valley to St Arnaud down the Shannandoa to Murchison and then home via the Lewis. 209 caches for the weekend and a pretty high success rate. Thanks to all the cache owners especially Bum and Worker and sorry for the cut and paste.
So a few weeks in the planning phase, me and Surveybase finally got out and about for a mission. Through Hanmer, up the Molesworth to Blenheim, across through St Arnaud, Murchison and then home. 209 caches for the weekend and a pretty high success rate. Thanks to all the cache owners and sorry for the cut and paste. Cheers.
I first looked in the wrong spot but then spotted a glimpse of the container. Everything dry and in good condition. TFTC
This oldie was on my to do list. While hubby took a look at the stones in the nearby cementary, I went for the cache. The GPS first took me to a different area, walked back and went back again.
Yeah found it now. All still in good condition
Yeah found it now. All still in good condition
We spent a night at the camping site nearby so we certainly couldn't resist looking for this one. Was an easy find. Tftc
We had come up from Dunedin via the Molesworth and Blenheim and back down to drop our son off at the camping ground where he was meeting up with his friends from Auckland. Nice to get a reasonably old cache.
Travelling down the west coast we had to stop for some caches Thanks for taking the time to place the cache, hopefully by the time we finish this trip we don't have anymore mishaps (so far our new fridge has died, a person crashed into us and the brakes jammed up and it took two hours to sort out with no service and only the milk tanker stopping to see if we were ok, the water pump on the camper sounds sick all in the space of 4 days)
I parked the geomobile down by the riverside in the campground and went for the short stroll to this cache
It was pretty obvious, after two DNF's in towne, that the army were on the march in Murch
They had taken over the community centre, the showground and most of the campground cabins too !!
Here at GZ there were more signs of army activity !!
Dare I keep looking for this cache amongst the trees ??
Was I already being watched ??
I continued poking around ...
... and around.
Aw c'mon yer silly GPS, settle down !!
The place in the clue was remaining elusive [:o]
I sat down for a while.
The GPS began to behave.
Nobody ambushed me !!
And I found the correct place to find a cache
I'm outa here !!
PS: I gotta good laugh back at camp later.
A dutch lass on a bicycle tour of NZ, was setting up her tent when a couple of fully kitted out soldiers appeared from the nearby trees and walked towards her
She just froze on the spot !!
She did relax a bit when the two soldiers started laughing and said hello.

Out and about this weekend a bite of a road trip to the cost and CHCH to see friends and family. All and all a good weekend out. And with so many caches to chose from and not enuf time to get them all ( good excuse to go back for more) sorry about the cut and paste. But thank you to all those that have put caches out there for all to find. And thank you for taking me to some interesting places seeing some interesting sites and the time I wasted looking in all the wrong places
GPS took me to wrong log, however I widened my search area and found the cache about 15 metres away and towards the river.
Heading into the direction of Nelson today and collecting some geocaches on our way. This one was a quick find. TFTC
Glad this one is surviving with campers all about, and a good size too, thanks BuzzTasman.
Definitely too many muggles in this place

Day 3 of caching in and around St Arnaud/Nelson Lakes. Today mostly cachemobile, and some short walking.
This was #21 for the day.
At the time of our visit to Murchison today the car said it was 28 degrees C. Astonishing.
Hd to tip toe our way past and around the campers to get to GZ.
Made a straightforward find. Cache in order, log signed and then safely re-hidden.
TFTC found with team cacher Sweet P too
The Turtle strikes again!

We found a campplace on a very short distance from this cache, so we did a nice short hike. And found the cache. Thanks

A plan was hatched to try and grab a number of caches, in excess of 120 if possible. I had already found a load between Renwick and St Arnaud but consulting the map around St Arnaud area showed some semi power trail drive by caching opportunities. Fellow Manawatu cacher the Seagnoid was asked if he was interested and a resounding yes was the answer. So the car was fuelled up at very early o'clock and provisions for munching were also loaded. An 0630 start was the plan and the day came to its conclusion around 2130 after approx. 15 hours of driving and caching.
Outcome was a very successful figure in excess of 130 caches which constitutes best day ever (for both of us), best week, month and year too. Over 500kms driven today and man I feel tired but need to make a start logging the finds, and DNFs. Thanks to all the C Os involved in making our day such a great one. Nearly all caches were well maintained, interesting and accurately plotted. There were bellbirds, beech trees, pies and water, sealed roads, gravel tracks, no sandflies (thankfully), rivers and bridges and creeks and bridges and streams and bridges and much conversation about all things caching
A great day out in good company and all made possible by the efforts of the hiders.
T F T C to all the cache owners. We mostly signed as C/S or Capp/Seag or other combos

[green] Capperz called me up saying he wanted to get his ruby Busy Cacher badge, and try for 120 caches in a day. I said YES PLEASEE!!, as I too had tried this once before but only achieved 103 before night defeated me and Edvern in Auckland last year. A successful day, with over 130 caches found in 14.5 hours and 500km. Also tiring - I went to bed as soon as I got home, despite it not being dark yet (yes, we could have cached some more, but the next objective is 180 caches, and there was no way we would have achieved that!). Alas, I had to leave all the planning to Capperz, and he produced a great little plan, listing all the target caches (and more) with which way to turn at next intersection after a cache - a great way to plan a back road travel.
The day was cool, cloudy, with a little drizzle. Perfect caching weather - the weather kept most of the muggles away from the muggle areas.
Thanks to all the COs for a great day out exploring the back roads of the Marlborough region!
Logs signed as CS or occasionally as CapSeag.

Cache check. Still in good shape in the original container after nearly 10 years.
Stopped here on our way to Greymouth from Nelson. Had a cuppa from he thermos in the sun down on the rocks and kids had great fun swinging out over the river on the nearby rope swings. Nice quick find. TFTC.
I had to wait until I returned to Canada to log this. Another stop in Murchison on my way to Nelson. A nice little area that I am sure would be busy in the summer however with no one around today the cache was in my hand in no time. TFTC
