Up early to a freezing morning to make the most of the day collecting caches. We parked close by and found a heap of rubbish under the bridge but lucky for us it was the other side of the cache as we were worried maybe it might not be there. A quick find thanks to the hint Smile

**Thanks to Partic for placing this cache for us to find and enjoy** Smile

Heading out early for some caches with DAB and Na'wal on this cold and frosty morning we picked up "Down Mexico Way" as we were literally heading south.
Thanks Partic for the cache.

25-Jun-18
Another full day of caching planned and yet again I was in the company of Na'wal and The_Tritonz. With a sheet full of solved puzzles to grab, we set off to claim some smiley faces. We had an absolute blast, with plenty of laughs along the way. We were spoilt with magic scenery and some fantastic hides along the way. Had no trouble with the hide. TFTC Partic Big Grin

I very nearly settled for a DNF here. I tried to interpret the clue quite a few times and no luck. However just before I was going to give up, I gave it one more try and searched an area that I had already been to, but this time I noticed the box in the dark. TFTC.

I had no previous intention of voluntarily attempting my Jasmer Grid. That was until a Jasmer Challenge cache was published close to home – so I now have little choice but to work on it. Looking through my statistics I realised I didn’t have too many unique months of the grid to fill in, but it was going to be a real pain in the neck to work on.

Since then I have come to realise that there is something slightly special about completing caches Pre-2005. “Old School” caches have a certain level of historical value within the geocaching community. It was my observation that these caches that have withstood the test of time are either difficult to interpret, hidden in places that wouldn’t get many vistors, or the coordinates are off significantly. Regardless, some of the caches have been reasonably rewarding to find. Thanks to all the respective Original Cache Owners - and Current Cache Guardians (if any) – for maintaining these special gems.

13th – 20th November, 2017. I spent the week roadtripping down to Alexandra for the Mega Event. I had purposely plotted out my route to include a decent haul of caches that could fill in certain statistics, namely the unique Jasmer months that I need. I was extremely lucky to have the entire week off work, so I took my time travelling from Bowral to Wagga Wagga, The Rock, Albury, Yackandandah, Wangaratta, and finishing with Victoria’s oldest Traditional cache.

Day 2 – Albury/Wodonga
• (April 2005) Down Mexico Way - https://coord.info/GCNPGV

Stopping here worked out well because I it was about time I had a short rest to stretch the legs. Another really simple cache to grab that filled in a unique Jasmer month. The cache was found without a problem. Thanks for the experience!

04-Nov-17
An easy find but jumped a mile when i placed my hand on a slug when retrieving the log from the cache container. Log signed and cache replaced.

After finding out the maintenance was completed a while ago by a friend in Albury, we're now back up and running... enjoy finding it in your travels!

07-Oct-17
Had seen this was about to be restored, so wandered down after a lovely lunch on the Murray River. Arrived home to find fully activated so now logging. Logbook could still do with a ziplock for full protection so next time I am back that way I will put one in. TFTC - thanks for getting it underway again

07-Oct-17
Cache back online after a refresh.

05-Oct-17
Unarchiving cache - accidentally archived by CO.

04-Oct-17
Maintenance done... the notification from the friend that fixed it up had gone astray a few months ago.

So feel free to call past this one again on your travels past Albury!

05-Jun-17
Maintenance underway at the moment through local contact.

New container and logbook being put in place.

05-Jun-17
Once container confirmed as being in place we'll enable cache again shortly.

###**CACHE OWNER ACTION REQUIRED**###
This cache is carrying a maintenance log which needs to be addressed by the cache owner.

The guidelines advise that the CO should make regular visits to check on the cache as well as promptly address any logs that indicate that the cache requires some attention.

Please respond to this situation (or indicated your intention) by **12th June**, otherwise it will be necessary to withdraw the cache from the Active listing.

**And don't forget,** once you have addressed the issue, post both an "Owner Maintenance" log, see here; [Removing the Needs Maintenance Icon](http://support.groundspeak.com/index.php?pg=kb.page&id=404) and an "Enable Listing" log, see here; [Temporarily Disable and Enable ](https://support.groundspeak.com/index.php?pg=kb.page&id=235 ) to get your cache up and running again.

06-Apr-17
First cache for the day! Today I was to head back to Canberra but thought I would give myself a few hours of geocaching in Albury before I left.

A quick find here after noticing the cache size and realising I must be searching in the wrong spot. Cache container has seen better days however.

Thanks Partic

2778 4 of 11 today.

I'm on a last-minute 4-day long weekend down to Albury from Canberra. I was last here back in November on the way to/from the South Coast mega-event. Lots of unfinished business here, although I fully expect to return this coming November. It was hot today, the news said 34C, but it was bearable

I had to cross the border at some stage. All quiet at this spot, but a lot of people floating down the river. Not sure what that's all about. Is that some local Australia Day thing ? It does look nice & cool though.

TFTC Partic.

Awesome hiding spot, logs are very wet though, need new logs and a zip lock bag.

09-Jan-17
Very water logged. Lid was not closed and logs are mush. Was unable to dry out but did pour out all water. Have taken photo to show cache was found if required. Going to need a new log? TFTC

Find #: 1,329
Companions: None
Muggles: None
Weather: Cool and foggy winter's morning
Cache condition: Good

My son has spent the week at the Border Music Camp, so we decided to have a long weekend and drive down from Sydney to pick him up. In the morning I ran the nearby ParkRun, and afterwards decided to make this cache my First Cache in Victoria. I parked nearby and headed across to where I thought GZ was, to find nothing. I then read the logs and realised my mistake, and once I readjusted soon had CIH. TNLNSL, thanks for the cache.

100% strike right today, a very successful afternoon caching with my housemate, this was the tenth of ten finds. We were initially on the incorrect side of the river, 'I am sure this path goes under there" said my housemate. I may have gone under but it was the wrong side. So after driving back to were we had initially stopped in the first place, nearly rolling down the embankment and hitting my head I quickly had the cache in hand. TFTC Smile

Broke my trip from Sydney to Melbourne with an overnight stay in Albury (last motel before you go over the border). After dinner I went for a walk which included a walk to Victoria for this cache before retuning to the NSW side of the river.
I was careful that I couldn't see any muggles before attempting the find. The noise of muggles enjoying the river were prevalent however cooling off after 40C+ day.
