After hearing today that this cache was still available to find. We stopped after the GCA event to locate. Nice to see an old cache. TFTC
While at the GCA event we heard that this cache was still there. After a quick search we found the cache. Cache and contents were in good condition.
Male membsec had been here a couple of times but could never put his hand on the container due to being muggled. Out of the area. After a GCA event, it was suggested to do the cache in the evening with less chance of being muggled. (We laughed when we drove home after the event as we saw 2 suspicious men jumping back into their illegaled parked vehicle. Nice to getting an oldie!
Hi Malbena, TFTC.I'd heard this cache was still hidden, despite not being active for over 10 years, so as I was in the area, I dropped by for a torchlit search. Took a minute or two to hone in, but pleased to find and add my name to one of the older geocaches. Thanks for the legacy and the adventure.Cheers, EPs#2269 @ 2115hrs Thursday 12th August 2021
Very pleased to find this old (now archived, but still very much in existence) cache. Beware of the bolt that sticks out on the end of the fence if you go in that way as it is at precisely the wrong level.
After a tip from another finder i have been looking at what archived caches are about.

Another Saturday morning and the usual coffee stop was first up then SSR and I came here for a look. The cache may not have been exactly where my GPS took me but it was within a few metres, and the hint is still relevant. The replacement logbook from 2008 is still there and assumably it is the original container too.
What a nice old find, and still in great condition!
Thanks Malbena

I've been looking at this one for a while now as I believe it was still in place, and after picking up the goose we got a park nearby and after an extended search area was covered I came across the cache!
Log is still dry and in good nic, Thanks for this old cache.

Over from Melbourne for a short work visit, decided to have a look and see if this find was possible. GZ is not accessible due to a work fence, with work being completed on a new pedestrian ramp. Thanks for a look around the area in any case.

Not being from Hobart we're not 100% sure on this but we think it might not be possible to get to GZ at the moment. HCC has closed the path due to upgrades, might pay for the owner to have a look.
A quick easy find as co'ords were spot on. clever hide.
Nice view down the river from the walkway. Next time in Hobart I must walk the bridge.

A quick easy find but was nearly sprung by some muggles who we guess had walked across the bridge. Thanks.
We walked over from the gardens to try for this one and thankfully, the spot on coordinates quickly had us with the stash in hand at 16:55.
TNLNSL. Thanks Malbena.

I was walking around the Domain today, so parking nearby wasn't a problem
Just following the walking track around the edge of the river.
A nice hide.
Thanks, Robmc.

Took the longer approach for this one and found it quickly after checking the hint. TNLN. TFTC
I love the Hobart peak hour traffic (compared to Sydney's that is!). Pulled over on the way north to work but one of the bridge workers was having a smoke outside the control room only metres from GZ. So I went for a short walk up the walkway and dodged the speeding cyclists before returning to find the cache in the first place that I looked. Thanks Malbena.
Travelling from the city across the bridge to the suburbs, it was a longer walk than I expected, so I took a break and looked until I knew where to go.
Thank goodness not too long or I would be late for dinner.
There was quite a wind on the summit of the bridge and every time a bus went past I staggered towards the traffic.
That is a very minimalist walkway especially when a poor cyclist is coming up from behind you.
Worth the walk though.

Pretty quick find here on our way back into the city duringf our geohike around the area...TFTC!!
Thanks to the sharp eyes of the voucher this cache can be identified as a find. TFTC
I think the cyclist who came past was eyeing me suspiciously because he was wondering if I was a jumper.
It took a few minutes and a change of viewpoint to find the cache.
Thanks!

Loved it. A helpful clue, a great view and spectacular civil engineering that I otherwise would have took for granted.
Plus the kids used the bike surface as a slide which kept them giggling and distracted. Cheers from team bearsleys!

Found by Mary & David, in company with Team Crackers, at 1130. Parked near the Gardens entrance and walked from there. Plenty of levels to chose from, and a bit of a maze of paths, but we soon found our way to GZ and a quick find. Great views again, and the mist has cleared. Our thanks to Malbena.
After crossing the river as a pedestrian, I needed a break. This cache came in beautifully. TFTC!
We noticed that this road system,

left us in a directional haze.

What a conveniently placed car park! Wouldn't it be nice if it was always like this? Took the South TB. TFTC
So, here we are on a trip to Tassie all the way from the mainland, ACT...
Well, at least it was exciting for me, seeing as I hadn't ever been to Tassie...
SOOOO many caches, so little time!
This was the sixth cache of 27 finds (and 4 DNFs) for our 5 days here,
Found this cache at about 3.50pm, with Shadow! making the find.
The nearby plaque with all the bridge building info is worth a look for anyone who comes to get this cache... just around the corner behind the cement pylon.
Thanks for the cache, Malbena!
Took: nothing
Left: TB 42 South (I know - in a MICRO???- squeezed it in!)

Our seventh find of a recent trip to Tassie with Fore! & allrounder to run the Cadbury Half-marathon. Did this one after the run so a little tired but keen to keep the legs moving. We parked a little away from this one I’m sure you can drive up that road allrounder…) but it was near a few others and walking is good for you after all….A nice tucked away GZ and a good hide. Sorry for the delay in reporting, been on bicycle up the east coast and out of internet range for most of our trip. Got this one on the way out of Hobart. Nice spot as we rode across the bridge. Lots of traffic but no one seems to pay us any mind. TFTC. SL.
Had a bit of time to kill and this was a great little drive by. Needs new pencil or BYO pen. TFTC
Nice spot, last cach for the day, a lot of walking and looking for a cold drink afterwoods so I did not walk across the bridge.
Maby next time. TFTC
The pencel was broken, might need a sharpener, or bring your own pen.

A good exercise to look in the right place, how simple is logic magnetism. Found at 1319hrs as my 74th find. A good pick me up; success changes attitude. TFTC OldSaint
Found 15:20. Third visit and this time in daylight not twilight with a friend RobB who found actually it. Views are great but even better at twilight when the city night lights are waking up. TFTCSL
A busy location ... and great vies from the summit of the bridge (why hasn't anyone put a cache in there?)

My last Tasmanian cache find. My last Australian find.
I was visiting Tasmania and having a ball. I stayed at the Snuva B&B&C (Bed and Breakfast and Cache) so I was certainly able to do a lot of the latter! My awesome hosts took me all over the island. I was able to hike all over the place...walk on Air (Tahune Air Cache ).....cross over bouncing bridges....and even got to see a spotted-tailed quoll! I was in graveyards in the evening and in the rain, I visited a women's factory, walked across an old aqueduct, and almost got to blast off on a rocket! I got to see Thar She Blows! "In Tassie"....Water Views....where 2 Rivers Meet.....and I even had some Seafood Cocktail. Even teamed up with Team Snuva for a southern Hemishpere FTF (Huon Pine Walk).
I had a ton of adventures. Too many to list, really.
Many, many thanks to my Oz hosts and all the Down Under cachers that placed stuff for me to find! I really appreciate it! #2330 for us.

This was the first cache of the night whilst on a 17 km. walking tour of the area. There were no passers-by during the short search - the hardest part was the retrieval. Just one cyclist passing while logging it. Thanks for the cache.
Another nice walk on a lovely day and once at gz the cache was a quick find in a neat hiding spot. Thanks Malbena.
A nice easy find amongst the concrete maze
Lots of muggles wizzing by, but not a one to see me grabbing the cache

Found one evening about a month ago. Never walked around this area before but wanted to.
tried this one without a gps a few months back. it didnt work. found it easily with the gps but had no pen in the car with me so didnt get a chance to log it. who knows, cpl more months and i might go back to log my visit
We have walked the bridge a few times now and this time made it more enjoyable knowing a cache was to be found. TFTH
After driving back and forth over the bridge quite a bit in the last couple of weeks I finally had the opportunity to stop and find the cache today. It took a bit of searching to locate but it was in a typical cache hide and the coords were pretty good. The logbook seemed ok, maybe I missed something with it.
Thanks,

A quick find on the way back to the hotel. Lucky for me, as I was running quite late for an important caching event.

This cache was the first of the days finds, and took a bit longer than expected...after taking a wrong turn and being cautioned by three constables who just happened to ride past on their bikes (!) we managed to get on the right track and locate the cache without trouble. Found with roehm - thanks for the cache!
Luckily the traffic wizzing by drowned out our conflicting stories we told the police of what exactly we were doing in the middle of the highway!

Sent trusty Lochie to find while we watched, he never lets us down. Cheers, great spot.
Found this on on the way out to catch up with the locals. I pulled up and almost immediately had a person from the little control room come and see if I had broken down. Once I explained that I was just a tourist he retreated and I admired the view and then quickly grabbed the cache.

Unfortunaely a police car had decided to park near it and catch speeding drivers. Hoped to come back next morning but ran out of time before heading back to Queensland.
Found it! Tried to drop off Crabs travel bug, but not enough room.... Gr8 spot. Very peaceful in a noisy kind of way....
Did this while we were doing "Like, A Bridge Over Troubled Water, Ya Know?". Nice night for a stroll across the bridge. Good spot to hide a cache. Was nice to find this cache while doing a long Multi. TFTC Malbena
This is a great hide and an excellent spot for a cache. How many times have I driven past and didn't realise that this little spot was here, right in the middle of all that whizzing traffic. Congratulations and TFTC Malbena. (PS Log book is quite full, could do with replacing)
Gpsr took us right to the spot. Quick look found it. Actually quite a nice spot regardless of being right in the middle of traffic.

XC on way back to airport to catch plane to NZ.. Time for one more.. Stopped nearby and walked to GZ however there were muggles passing by so had to linger inconspicuously... However a council worker spotted me and said..."Its under there" and pointed to GZ. Lol....
He said he had seen a number of people find it..
Signed log and quickly replaced...

Felt a tad conspicuous looking around so have purchased fluoro Orange vest and clipboard and now look like survey/engineering/council type

Found this one with Snuva watching over the wedding car that had broken down right near the cache. The grooms party walked to the wedding, while the driver waited with the car. Great cache TNLN. TFTC.
This was a bonus find while doing Like, A Bridge Over Troubled Water, Ya Know? (GC16XAX). A few muggles on bikes made it a little tricky and the hide was a very neat one. TNLNSL, TFTC.
Found this one half-way through doing "Like a Bridge Over Trouble Water Ya Know" (I love cache journeys that allow you to get more than one smiley!). This was a nice hide and allowed us to have a log-signing rest before the second half of "...Bridge...". TNLN; thanks for the cache.
Found on an evening stroll from the City View Motel,
across the bridge and back.
The plan was get some of the waypoints for "Like, A Bridge Over Troubled Water, Ya Know?" (GC16XAX) to pick up "River Crossing" and return getting the rest of the waypoints for the multi.
I got to the western side of the river and thinking I should be within a couple of hunderd metres I hit the find button so I knew which way to go. And the display read, distance to cache 3m. How good is that?

Found after a wander up from the domain. We ended up crossing (or not crossing) this bridge several times when we didn't mean to on our holiday until we got the lanes sorted out!
