This cache has been archived to help free up a number of locations in the central Nelson area.
I hope those that did it enjoyed it.

Enjoyed this one though must admit I thought I was one the wrong track for a while. Thanks for a well thought out cache.
As for Richard Turnbull; what bad luck!

07-Jun-06
Yeah it looks like Richard Turnbull died more than once, but i suspect an error on the sign. I also had to use the clue as it was rapidly getting dark - 5:30pm.
Thanks.

The Black Plaque is just beaneath our home. Can't get much closer than that! Then we biked to the second site, which I had been to before; however, Mr Rizer had not. Thanks for the cache.

The final coords were quite a bit out (perhaps we miscalculated something) but we found it using the clue.

Many Thanks Bitsprayer

Had to read and re-read the clue! What a lot of broken glass in the area where the cache is hidden!
Thanks

This was our second attempt at this one, I still got the coords wrong somewhere but managed to find it OK, maybe a little inside knowledge...

05-Jan-06
Lots of dirt, broken glass, and mosquitos where I ended up...

Unfortunatly Cache had been removed.
I have put a new micro film container in place for the time being.
Will probably upgrade this cache in near furture to a better location and bigger cache.

Nearly 50 years in Nelson, and I never knew these places existed. Very interesting. Life was very tough back then.

great history tour, all new places for us. Thanks.

25-Jun-05
There were two locations we knew nothing about.
It was a bit of a surprise how many people were hung or executed way back then. And I thought all the baddies were sent to Aussie!

Another interesting wander through some local historical sites. Coordinates were fine. Mrs SoBad was worried at the first site that I was taking her for a 'park up'. She should be so lucky....

This was the other site for part of my "Maungatapu Murderers Multi" cache that was muggled last year.
A neat reserve, sadly the fruit trees are declining- the old plum in front and right of the bench seat used to be alot bigger and healthier.
Great cache

another great tour.easy find

22-May-05
This was an outstanding discovery - both sites were new to us. We took along our mother/mother-in-law who has lived here for nearly 50 years and it was new to her as well and she is a great history fossicker. We had heard about the second site but didn't know how to access it. Had never heard about the first one. Thanks.

Nice tour

Great cache taking us to several places we would never have found any other way! Ripe feijoas and grapefruit at the cache site too - what a bonus Smile TNLN, Mike and Jane

Nice One!!!!!! Another silver metal, and well, well worth it. Two great places to visit before finding the cache. I would imagine that most Nelsonians would not even know they are there. Autumn leaves gave a special atmosphere. Thanks
