Another check of the cache location this morning revealed still no-one at home, so we'll say goodbye to this incarnation.

16-Mar-08
After 150 finds this cache has gone missing. I'm kind of surprised it took that long given its location.
There were a few people at the CCSS event today who hadn't found the cache so they took a few moments before the event started to see if they could find it.
They reported back to me that they couldn't find it, so while they were all off riding the trams, I checked the cache location with Bitsprayer (over from NZ) and there was indeed nothing home.
We checked all the usual hangouts (it moves around a bit), but there was nothing that we could spot.
I think the cache has gone missing, but I'll check again in a few days just to make sure.
Until then ... disabled.

#1161: Aptly named cache, but I managed after 15 minutes to catch a break in the stream of muggles and grab the cache (thanks to a great hint I knew exactly where it was). I was even luckier in not having to wait more than a minute when I went back to replace the cache. Took nothing, left a Canadian dollar coin, signed the log. Really appreciated the cache.

Wow - what a muggle challenge.
Kiw Legend retireved and replaced this while we attempted to shield him from the direct view of some of the muggles.

16-Dec-07
Great stealth practise! And thanks for the hint - it made for a 10 minute hunt/retrieve/replace rather than 30+. I walked past a few years ago. I love the pillars of fire. A lot of NZ'ers don't know about it - would it be worth putting more details here? Thanks.

Nice! Although on a sunny sunday afternoon and thousands of muggles around, I could retrieve the cache without raising any suspicion. I had to move like a tiger and then catch the box with one quick move. Thanks for the hide, mate!

I was participating in the annual Woolworths (Safeway for Victorians) Conference at the Exhibition Centre so this was an obvious cache to look for. Easy to find and retrieve at 6am, but then the people started walking through. I ended up taking the cache to the Conference for an hour or so and convinced an accomplice to come and stand strategically so I could replace it!
No swaps but took geocoin, thanks for the cache caughtatwork!

I was very impressed by the hint on this cache, more so because my GPSr only recorded the first few words and I thought it was cryptic! I managed to solve it and found the cache while Rally was chatting away on his phone. I even thought I'd have to put the pen in his hand and write his name for him (it must have been an important call!)

Thanks for a very crafty and well put together cache.

I played decoy pretending to have an important call on the phone while Rubik did the dirty work. Actually it was an important call I was playing "phone a friend" for another cacher stuck deep in the forest late at night. Great hide that would have been very tricky to find without the hint. TFTC. Grabbed a heap of coins and TB's from Rubik to take to Honolulu next week.

Muggle heaven or cacher hell - it could go both ways. While Mrs Lat&Long ran interference, I tied shoelaces and searched in my backpack while feeling around, up, in and over GZ. Eventually got what we came for and retired to a nearby block of concrete to sign the log. Beautiful clue - love your work 'caughtatwork'. Took a 20 pence coin and left a dice.

Ninja'd this one late at night on my first real night in the city, loved the sights around this, wasn't too hard to ninja this one once the muggles were out of the way and distracted. I'm really impressed with some of these city caches in Melbourne! We could do with more of these in Perth. Taking notes for my cache hiding coming soon. Took nothing, left Double Dragon GC. TFTC!

Found today at 0705.
Even at this time of the day there were lots of muggles.. including the security guard muggles trying to look important whilst work was being done nearby.
Plenty of signal for the gps.. but still had to resort to the clue to try and cut the search time down.

Log book is very full.. so we signed on the bottom of an old log.

Had a go at this one about 3 weeks ago, but there were just too many Muggles about (as I was on my own, and had not distracting colleagues!). Returned this Sunday, nice & early, and went straight to where I thought the cache was & bingo! Then realised I had not followed the instructions and brought a writing implement along...... so, improvisation! A discarded used match was enough to write name & date in the log!
Now off to the Melbourne Motor Show

Count #0041 found at 2045hrs.

Muggles all around indeed, the hints are very useful to pinpoint the spot and we managed to get it after waiting a while. Got frustrated by the large numbers of smokers while we were logging our entry. There are just too many smokers near the casino. Smoking ought to be banned since it is a public disturbance!!

Found 11.15am
Love the hide on this one, needed the clue and soon worked out what it meant so narrowed down GZ to a very small area but searching with so many muggles around took a lot time. Once found had to walk round the corner to sign the log before returning it.

Found by Bob at 1215

On a very rare trip to this neighbourhood this morning, I managed to get this one. This spot certainly does have its share of muggles but, fortunately, they come in waves (of a few thousand at a time Wink) and if you time it right you can have the area to yourself for a whole few seconds before the next wave arrives! A clever hide indeed Smile.

First successful Melbourne cache! Mr P is in Melbourne on business so couldn't resist the challenge of visiting a few local caches.

Found this one with two muggle colleagues (who knows, maybe new cachers-to-be) late in the evening. In fact, it was one of the muggles who actually found the location after figuring out the clue! Was a lovely evening for a stroll around the area.

Beautiful sunny Melbourne morning! We went for a nice walk to find this cache. We really enjoyed the hint on this cache it was very cool.
