Cache check today...absolutely no signs cache has ever been in this position!
I would assume kiddy activity over the xmas period put an end to Sporting event.
To all those who helped keep this inner urban cache going for the the duration of it's life...thank you.
To all the beginners who found this one, i hope it gave you an appetite to find more
It is always hard to keep a 2 litre container intact in such a public place....oh well i suppose i may have to place another more difficult cache to replace this one!

Got to GZ but with a Football game going on and dog walkers sitting nearby there was no chance to have a good look. I never did find the "Redundant C" blue waypoint which was only 30 away from this one. Another time perhaps.
Lots of strange people here at night.
Heavy metal band and clubs built in to railway arches.
We grabbed the cache discreetly and logged it quickly before anyone came close.
Fun to do at 11pm as the area is well lit.
Thanks Dernel, TNLN

TB Mad Cow is not in the cache. Took a marble and left a Christmas bookmark kit. While sitting away from the cache site, signing the log book - two bicycle cops cruised by, stopped, made note of us, and rode away without saying a word. Can't imagine why two people sitting in the grass in a park would be suspect! Lovely park, we'll certainly be back with a picnic soon! TFTC Dernel!!
this is great to find my TB so i took him for a milkshake with
msmacka & wife who was in hospital to cheer her up

Quick cache check this morning, with the main aim to drop off TB Madcow and send her on her way.
I've had her a couple of weeks now and with work travel etc, have not had a chance to enjoy the taste of a good milkshake.
Here's hoping someone will pick her up and give her a good xmas.

Cache #6/8 @ 4pm
Cold and Wet so no muggles around, Amazing how the cache survives in an area like this where so many kids would be playing around, found a heap of old Trophys behind the tree also.
TNLN
Another Very much enjoyed cache from Dernel

This was a nice quick find. As I rounded the corner I spotted a suspicious looking area which proved to be where the cache was hidden. Being after 21:00, there was no-one around, so I was able to retrieve the cache without a problem. I had no swaps with me, so no exchange was made. Thanks for the cache.
A very easy find. Took more effort to avoid the muggles. Took TB Sad Ronnie and TB Olympia. Left Bottle Bug II. He is in Sydney and ready to party.
Found easily. As it was showery no muggles about.
This is where Sad Ronnie TB and Olympia TB will rest after their long journey and before they hopefully move on around Australia and then beyond. TNLN Thanks

This one was easy to find, but impossible to log today with all the muggle activity. I'll have to come back on a more quiet day.
Too easy, mostly because I could see it from a couple of metres away. Had to wait for Muggle resting to go and then we had it.
T: TB It's off to the country.

Cache Check....
Lucky i did!!..Cache pretty well on open view.
Set free "Slytherin 1000th Cache Champagne Cork"
Seeing as how the Sydney Swans won the AFL final yesterday, i thought this was a fitting release for the TB...good luck on your travels.
PLEASE MAKE SURE WHEN VISITING THIS CACHE..YOU ENSURE WHEN LEAVING IT IS WELL COVERED.
This will ensure it's longevity in such a popular place.
Cheers,
Dernel

Nice easy find durong the middle of the day. Had to watch for muggles. This cache was not very well hidden. So secreted it (in the same spot) a little better.
It's always nice to see when someone's gone to the effort to hide a nice a nice big container somewhere in an urban environment! This could easily be the largest cache I've seen this close to the city. Top work! I love it! Took a 3 metre tape measure and left a Canadian playlist CD. Thanks Dernel.
Dash it "gettingannoyed" you beat us again. You were there just a few minutes before us after also previsiting "the crow". Also very very easy but by the time we arrived the oval was teaming with children & teachers and the walkers with dogs were out. We had to have eyes in the back of our head to be sure we were not observed. Replaced with extra care.
Good one too! Fishmarket lunch/wine is nearly walked off. TN, left necklace.
Thanks "Dernel"

unfortunatley easy is the best way to describe this one. if there was another word to describe how easy this was ot find i would use it.
i think the difficulty should be half a star!
took the leasurly option and walked the 300 M from the crow
found on a fairly quiet afternoon with only a few kids kicking a footy around and some school girls (with a mega hot teacher) practising touch.

Great place for a cache. Much appreciated by this Minnesota gal. Took the Blue clip/compass/thermometer thing. Left a Large Silver Bobby Pin. This is now a Large cache, it would be a great one to place TB's in. Thanks millions!!
One of the skills with a cache like this is to extract and replace the cache without being seen or looking suspicious - especially on a beautiful winter's day like today. Why would someone sit on the cold rocks in the shade in the breeze when they could be enjoying the sunshine. There could only be one reason.
After replacing it I walked away but could still see the cache so I placed some palm leaves over the hole.
TNLN.
Thanks Dernel. Nice spot.

This cache had been muggled!!
Have replaced the cache and all of it's contents and placed back in original place as per coordinates.
PLEASE , PLEASE. PLEASE BE CAREFUL WHEN RETRIEVING AND HIDING THE CACHE AS IT IS IN A VERY PUBLIC PLACE AND YOU CAN BE SEEN FROM ABOUT 4 DIFFERENT DIRECTIONS.
wHEN REPLACING THE CACHE, PLEASE WALK AWAY AND CHECK A COUPLE OF TIMES THAT IT CAN NOT BE SEEN!!
Thanks for your help in keeping this one active
Happy Hunting,

In Hong Kong at the moment, will check cache on the weekend when i return.
As i said "Stealth" is required in ensuring this one stays unseen when closby. Will replace on the weekend if missing

I nice spot for a cache.... if it was there.
I strongly beleive the cache as been muggled.
Previous people have been able to find this cache with no problems, but myself and the previous person have not had any luck. The area also looks like it's had some kids go thru it, as there are rocks and garden refuse all around.
Might be an idea if the cache owner checked things out.

Well, we tried to make this our first find today, but, we did not, could not find it. Searched plenty of places, but, there really could not be too many a 2 ltr container can hide.
maybe next time.
maybe next time.
A Nice easy cache to round out a morning’s caching.
I'm not sure if this cache had been discovered by muggles as it was not hidden properly and the lid was not shut. However everything seemed to be in place and nothing was wet (perhaps the only advantage of Sydney's lack of rain).
Took a toy car and deposited Lady Luck travel bug.

We seem to recall finding another cache or maybe it was a waypoint of a multi just a few metres from this cache. So is this another one of those mystical places that attracts cachers. Just like all those Greek sailors who heard the sound of the sirens and their boats got wrecked. Sadly all the caches placed around here have also disappeared in mysterious circumstances. This raises another question, how come when Greek sailors hear a siren they image beautiful naked woman who will fulfil their every desire and they promptly run aground. Because when I hear a siren I think shi*, I mean “opps†what have I done? and then I turn down the nearest side street.
Sort of knew the general area this one was hidden in and happened to be in the park. Didn't even have a GPS, and wasn't really trying or expecting to find it, but saw an obvious spot, and there it was, in the first place I checked. I guess luck was on my side! It was footy training time and the field was packed. Had a friend with me who was quite shocked when I conjured a 2L container full of goodies, so ended up explaining the game to someone new.
A previous finder has not yet logged the TB that they left, but T: TB Spike's Little Friend, LN

Our first cache find in Australia whilst travelling from the UK. Skip used to run around this park when he lived in Glebe before he left for the UK.
Left Spike's Little Friend TB from UK, took Saddam Hussein TB which will soon be placed in the UK.

Did this cache without the aid of my trusty GPS, used the clues from cache log sheet. Took measure keyring, left powerball and "Catch Me If You Can" TB. Thanks. Regards Philma.
This is one crowded place! Managed to find the cache and sneaked it away and back to log it. There were somebody else lingering in the area when we got there but by the look of the log, he may not be a geocacher. Good thing that Philma found it the next day!
Third of four finds for the night. What's this? Four goal posts, and no cross bar? Have I been teleported back to Victoria? There were people running laps around the oval, and there was a pair of Aussie Rules footballers practicing their goal kicking. The cache area is wide open, and faces these denizens of the night. Not only that, but I didn't need my torch, because the place it light up like a Christmas tree! Even at this time of night I had to be surreptitious!
I managed to snaffle the cache unobserved at 1935. I made my log entry, and my exchange. The really difficult part was replacing the cache, and making sure that it was completely covered, with my hands behind my back. I had three goes at it until I was satisfied that the cache couldn't be seen by someone walking past. Thanks to Dernel for the cache and the challenge.
P.S. If a 2L Sistema is what Dernel calls a 'small' cache, the mind boggles at what a large one would be!

OUT: Toy aeroplane

Found it far too easily. I've covered it up for future finders, as it was exposed as we walked to it from the SW after doing The Crow.
Introduced a friend to caching, and she's now go the bug, but whether it turns into an addiction is another matter.

Yay! Our first find
This is only a few blocks from home (and only a few metres from where I used to live about 20 yrs ago). A good first cache for 1 dad + 2 geokids.
Took screwdriver + body lotion
Left JAL airplane + tape measure

Was in the area so stoped off to see if I could find this one. Great location. Found this one easily, but it was in a good hiding spot. Didn't have anything on me to swap, so just logged my visit.
Picked up the FTF on this one, on my way home this afternoon. Nice park, had some muggles on the oval exercising, so took some care retrieving the cache. Nice easy cache. Took the TB, will send it on it's way within the week. Thanks!
