Heading down to the Victorian Mega.
I needed a break along the way.
I headed into GZ and looked around.
After wandering around with the troublesome little flies trying to get in my eyes, I spotted an area I had not looked at and there was the cache.
Signed the log and returned to hide.
TNLNSL TFTC Thanks Oldbluedog and Emmnmni All good with this archived cache

Realised I hadn't logged this previously. This cache was found in good condition after a short search, thanks Team Bluedog and Emmnmnl for showing us this spot.
Stortigirls, Out'n'about and I were headed to the Melbourne Mega. This cache was on my list of "must haves" for this trip. We parked nearby and after a quick search, the cache was located. Our names were added to the log before we continued on our way. TFTC
We had to stop for this one, given the age and the fact it neatly fills a square on our "hidden" stats. A quick find and signing of the logs led to very happy cachers...mission accomplished! Tftc Oldbluedog

# 1076 13:10 - On the road again with Triciac2 on our way to the Melbourne Mega.
I would have happily walked half the distance in the heat of the day, but a great spot for a cache.

Nice and safe from the storm last night -all dry. Rest stop very busy with 2 trucks and another 2 caravans and cars already here. Lucky cache was a bit of a hike away and safe from muggle onlookers. Nice track to follow thanks to next gen networks!

A beautiful day to be out and about in this beautiful area as I head for home after another fantastic house sitting job... I apologize for the generic logs - It no way detracts from my enjoyment and the efforts gone to by the CO's...
A short search, found the cache, stamped and returned...

Find #1 of 1 total caches for the day
The Crew Travelled today from Narrabri to Mudgee only had a small amount of inforamtion for the trip however travelling the highway towing a 24 foot caravan makes stopping on the side of the road a little difficult however we decided to have a coffee whilst travelling so time to have a quick internet connection look to see if a cache was close to our current stop location and low and behold there was so enter the coordinates into the GPS and find that it was not as close as I would have liked but ony a mere 450-500 Meters away the decision was GeoSon going for a walk to the cache and after a short stroll the cache was found log signed and returned to its location.
Thanks Team Bluedog and Emmnmnl for this nice location to stop for a cuppa even if it is a little far from that rest stop.
Total Cache count = 6 total 5 Traditional and 1 Multi
The total count for the day was 1 consisting 1 Traditional

On New Years' Eve we left our camper trailer at Warrumbungle National Park, and went for a caching trip to Narrabri, Gunnedah and Coonabarabran.
Agree, plenty of parking spots - but decided to walk the last 30 meters.

Final cache for the days drive through the Pilliga. There was a relatively large spider guarding the cache when Pesky! uncovered the cache. The spider took a bit of persuasion before he would let us open the cache to sign the log.
Future finders please be aware of the spider.
Thanks Team Bluedog and Emmnmnl.

Found with WC and Rios after visiting Rio' sister this week. The trip back to Sydney. Rios, a tad on the short side needed a little help here. Sneaky hide but WC and I had the altitude needed for this one
This was supposed to be a quick detour before driving out to The Sculptures In The Scrub but we were substantially delayed in both directions by the extensive road works. Fortunately we were able to complete the full walk before darkness started to fall. Great picnic facilities and there were also a few campers set up. Well worth the drive and a great walk around the gorge. TFTC.
Moving house from Brisbane to Tasmania. All packed and now in the car on the way south so what else to do but break the trip by caching. Nice walk to break up the drive.

We parked up and then walked to the cache, we don't believe anyone will be driving to the cache from the parking bay as there are very large tree roots placed in the way. On arrival we were lucky to find the cache in the first place we looked, after reading logs we did not expect to find it there. SL TFTC
*Found with Tassiegirl13 while on our way to the SA Oz Mega*
We parked in the nearby rest area and had an enjoyable walk of a few hundred meters to GZ.
It's a good excuse to stop and strech your legs.
Once at GZ the cahe was soon found.

Day 2 of our exciting caching journey through NSW and into Queensland.
This time I sent Black bunny off to get the cache whilst I got afternoon tea. Just as well I did, as I had the BEST view of him returning from the cache, in company with a large and unhappy-looking emu! I refused to bring the emu with us, though, so the friends had to part.Thank you, Oldbluedog!

Sounds like the coords are not great and a million places to look, many of which I was not prepared to stick my hand in. Bit of a frustrating DNF. If the difficulty is 1.5, it should be pretty obvious.
Camped nearby overnight & took the short walk here this morning. The cache is well placed & took us a few minutes to find. TFTC

Perfect timing to pull up for lunch on the way to Pilliga Bore. Once coffee and lunch made and enjoyed, took a longish walk from the Rest Area to the GZ location. GPS was about 8m out by the time I located the well placed cache, so it took me a few false moves before I was on it. Signed log, and hurried back to continue the journey northwards! Thanks for the great rest stop, and a beaut cache!
After camping in the rain, lucky was able to cook under cover.

I made this much more difficult than it should have been by travelling cross country through thick scrub to the cache. The return journey was a doddle in comparison. TFTC Oldbluedog

Went looking with great enthusiasm but to no avail searched high and low and the GPS told me I was on top of it but it was nowhere to be found. Starting to doubt that it is even still there!
We tried to get this one but as luck had it we had a large truck on our tail and couldn't find an easy place to pull over till we were a long way past the cache. Tftc .
On a 24hr road trip from Brissy to Western Victoria I hoped to grab a cache without holding up the rest of the family who dont share my passion as much as I. The daughter wanted to change driving about 5 km from this one so I informed her that there should be a good place to park in a few ks. We pulled up and the daughter took off running with the dog in the direction of the cache. I ran up to her and encouraged her to keep running. We were very close to the cache before she realised what I was up to. She followed me into the scrub for a quick pick up and her first cache.
Sometimes these things just fall into place.
When we got back to the car the others couldn't believe I what we had been up to.

One of 225 finds during a Brisbane and back drive. Went to Brisbane for 5 days with my family flying up and back while I drove with a car load of stuff for our working holiday. Well a holiday for me and my boys while Leanne had a wedding expo to attend, but we did manage to get to Sea World for a day, where we had a great time, before they flew back.
After some caching in Melbourne it was on to Tocumwal for the night then two more days to Brisbane. Five days there then the same trip back but in reverse. A total of 4516 km travelled with 225 caches found and even a couple of interstate FTFs along the way. The trip turned out to be a trial run almost for a Solar eclipse / Cairns trip I'm doing in November.
After caching in Melbourne I made my way to Tocumawal where I stayed the night then made my way just south of Goondiwindi, crashed in the car at a truckstop. Up at about 8:00 the next morning and soon hit the road again to make my way to the Gold Coast via Warwick. Found a place to stay then headed out to do the GCPT series which was only about a kilometer from where I was staying. Off to Brisbane the next day to stay five days with the familay, cache with the kids and tackle the monster series in Sandgate when I had the time.
After a great time in Brisbane it was time to head back home with the fam flying and me driving. I had a scattered number of caches to collect on the way home with a couple of hundred kilometres between some of them. Cached Warwick along the way, got a FTF out of Moree then made it almost to Coonabarrabran for the night. Onto Coonabarrabran to see the scope, Tocumwal again and home.
Up and on the road again and it wasn't too far to my first stop for the morning. Cache found and log signed.
Thanks for the hide.

In company with 'Clas-Nate' went exploring for the cache whilst camping for the NSW long weekend at Schwagers Bore.
Parked at the rest stop, then realised that the CZ was still some 400m sth. Followed the dirt track, then commenced the search on foot. Had trouble with reception (both ph and GPS units) trying to locate the exact area. Eventually found it. Wouldn't say its 'kid friendly', though.
Signed the log, exchanged swaps, returned to hidy-hole - TFTC 'Oldbluedog' - wasnt going to give up on this 1.

Camping in the Pilliga State Forest, we went exploring for a couple of caches with Cache Trekker. 2nd find for the day, further along the road than we expected though!
On the way home from Warwick to Melbourne with the oldies and grabing the odd cache on the way. Can't take too long as we need to try and get home for the Grand Final on Saturday.
Can't agree that this is nowhere, definitely a definitive spot. Nice new cache container in a protected side of the road location. The oldies enjoyed this and my auntie is almost a convert.

Found at 4:28 PM GAFF1. Yep - it is in the middle of nowhere, but what was this track built for originally? Was this the Newell? Glad we didn't take our van any closer to GZ as there was a long piece of steel rod sticking out of the ground that I could easily have gone over thinking it was just another branch.

In the right place at the right time to be able to come back for this one. Found GZ quickly enough, and well away from muggles. Searched around a bit but was coming up empty handed so we paused for a moment and stepped back. Its hard breaking old habits but we did and quickly had the cache in hand. Just as well Mr C has long arms. A well thought out placement, thanks Oldblue dog.
Tomorrow we head for Siding Springs to grab a few more.
