It was promising to be a very warm day today so we decided to start our adventures with the walk to this oldie. The track was nice and flat and shady so it was a lovely walk. We entered the bush at the closest point and made our way around trees, over logs and through spiderwebs until we reached GZ. The great sized cache was right at the coordinates and it was great to pause a moment to read the logbook. Thanks If

Quite a pleasant walk along the track before heading bush toward GZ knocking down all the spiderwebs along the way. Didnt take too long to locate the lovely sized cache and always a treat to pick up an oldie.. TFTC.

Muggle65, Brislions and l are out today on no particular mission. I just wanted 30 - 40,000 steps with a few slopes. Luckily the boys were on board and M65s car was lovely and clean.Fantastic that this oldie is still in play.Thank you for the fun

With my Ute getting fixed. It was Muggle65 as the chauffeur, GreenGecko1 as the Navigator, me as the back seat driver. It was GreenGecko1 that made the list of caches to grab today. We found seven today. With a few adventure lab waypoints. We had good weather today not to hot.We found this reasonably easy. Log was signed, we replaced the cache back.We headed back to the vehicle, then of to the next cache. If thank you for placing and maintaining this cache for geocaching community enjoyment.

In the eastern suburbs for Sunday afternoon which is the new family arrangement. Eldest child has a regular mates catch up, which means the dog and I get a couple of hours to entertain ourselves.
Knowing I was headed this way, I worked on this puzzle during the week. Whilst I was not absolutely certain of my selection of final coordinates, I did have a good feeling.
Parked at an appropriate spot for my choice, and we headed into the bush to test our luck. You beauty, I was correct, and I had an ammo box in hand quite quickly. The log book is all good here. Signed and returned and continued on our way. Thanks very much for this cache and the challenge If. Cheers

Wednesday Madness. The last one of term. And I’m flying solo today. So I choose to head over to the Southside for a few more older caches.
If it wasn’t for the name of the location, this could almost have been a Random Drop with those wps. But I paid my ransom and got the cache. A nice day for a wander through here today.
Thanks for the cache If.

Nice idea of hiding the coordinates. I did the run down the track to save some time and was soon at GZ. Always nice finding another one for the Jasmer and an ammo can too

Brisbane and Sunny Coast, it is great to be back! I have lived here for a short period many, many years ago. At that time generally only caches at prominent spots or with plenty of favourite points attracted my attention. A lot has changed since then and I am all into the deeper caching stats since quite some time. Some years ago I wanted to put faces to names, so had planned to attend the local Mega Event and find numerous caches while being in the area. Unfortunately, the pandemic got in the way and meant that I had to cancel all travel arrangements last minute. This left me with a list of literary hundreds of caches, which included solved geoarts, caches that were worth getting to due to their old age or their rare type, challenge caches, or caches that would count towards filling my individual size and type D/T matrixes. Fortunately, this list that took months to prepare was not for nothing, as now I am finally back in the area, even if it’s just for a short trip. In the lead up to my current visit I updated my list and tried to streamline the route as good as possible to make the best out of my limited time. The grand aim aside of getting a couple more caches for filling my Jasmer calendar was completing lots of loops! This included completing my 4th and 5th overall D/T matrix loop and completing the D/T matrix using only mystery caches, and only micro sized caches and only small sized caches caches!! Of course the shabby weather couldn’t stop me from putting my plan into action. So, I am now very happy to log my find of this cache after all this effort. Thank you very much If for creating and placing Ransome Drop! It certainly was a great trip which brought me to great caches and locations!

Enjoyed this immensely but really had to fight to trust my initial assessment. Had narrowed it down to five possibilities and one that my literal self could not resist a partial check. On approach to GZ it felt like I'd been here before. Thanks for a great puzzle cache.

Today, the plan was to kayak Lota Creek and complete a few of the watercraft geocaches in that area. A group was formed, and in true flotilla style, we made our way to Lota Creek's event, and then continued our paddle around the island back to Thorneside's boat ramp. Following the paddle, we took a short drive to a nearby technical tree climb, where [GC6236R Unending - Stargate SG1](https://coord.info/GC6236R) was conquered.
The group then parted ways, and I spent the remainder of the day walking a few of the nearby reserves and scrublands in Ransome, such as Ransome Nature Reserve, and a number of Queensland's older geocaches were located.

After taking a walk in a nearby bushland, and after solving this puzzle some time back, I thought I would visit this geocache's area, taking a full loop of these trails. From arriving as close as I could get along the trails, I then took the short walk to GZ, where the cache soon revealed itself. The cache container and logbook were in good shape. I dropped a TB in this geocache for onwards travels (knowing it would be reasonably safe and secure from muggles). Thanks If for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance. It was also nice to have found this oldie 06/2005 hidden cache, which is one of Queensland's 500 oldest yet active geocaches.

I imagine 16 years ago solving this puzzle would have taken a lot more mental gymnastics… still 16 years later I needed a nudge to see what what right in front of me…

I did watch for footprints in the muddy paths as I went after the ransom… No sign of the criminals at GZ and I should know as I inspected another feature quite closely before spotting the ransom container…

Tftc…

Happy to find this oldie… and an original log book too…

How to solve this puzzle was a dilemma.
In the end, we were out in the field, collecting a few hides after a lovely morning paddle.
We had narrowed this one down, but definitely took a wrong option.
A bit more thinking about our location, and we soon had the right spot and a log signed.
It was a great morning out with E_Smiley
Thanks If

Nice day out meeting up with geo friends hatzofff, patrol14, grannysmith1947 and RoddyC to find a few caches in the local area.
Another great puzzle, certainly something different to play around with. Beaut walk to GZ where the cache was found quickly, well done CO.

I was out geocaching with ozbeancounter and their eldest bean for the day. This one was one of the main ones for the day as we are both fans of older geocaches, and obc especially loves ones with original logbooks.

It was really heartwarming to see someone get so excited about a logbook and it made me reflect later on about how many wonderful older geocaches I have found in my time.

No problem at all finding this one, just as expected. Thanks for the cache If!

Another of Queensland's oldest 500. Oldest caches, not oldest cachers Wink.

I had this one solved for quite some time, a few months, and actually managed to solve it rather than visit every single waypoint. Don't ask me how Razz I'm not spoiling the surprise Twisted.

Today I set off with Net88 and the oldest geokid, searching for golden oldies, and a few other random caches. This one was in the target area. Arriving at GZ after a lovely walk I found... THE ORIGINAL LOGBOOK.

I was elated and over the moon - so much history here, some familiar names, others not so much. But truly amazing to see and I've taken a few photos.

Thanks for the entertainment, for the lovely walk, and for keeping this one alive for so long.

Merry Christmas to you and your family, If.

Dropping in a well deserved FP.

This cache find makes #1000
I'd love to claim I solved this puzzle the conventional way but unfortunately thats not the case and it does take a little of the 'shine' off the find.
However I did find it by narrowing down the list of coordinates to a handful of likely candidates and was prepared to visit all!
I read many of previous finders' logs, and bit by bit my list was whittled down further.
Ages ago I searched two places without luck. Roll forward to today when I started again and re checked
my lists and discovered I had one number wrong...another one off the list.
As I stepped off the path at my chosen location I was feeling confident and I'm sure my heart rate increased when I saw what I just knew was protecting the cache.
Happy dance completed I set about signing log book and replacing as found.

I think the difficulty of this puzzle has possibly got lower over the years, with new technology offering more. We started geocaching in December 2006, and I remember the pains we suffered using the odd assortment of unsuitable GPS equipment, until we got our Garmin etrex. I still have printouts of cache listings in the filing cabinet, part of the necessary planning for every cache hunt. And boy do I remember deciphering the clues by hand! It was a lovely nostalgic moment to open the log book and see the newsy logs from 2005, back when everyone wrote a story and listed their swaps.
We were relieved to find the cache in the first place we looked, as neither of us was entirely confident we'd solved the puzzle correctly, though it did seem likely. Hilariously I had stopped walking when my phone indicated 0m, and I looked by my right foot and there was the hide!
Thank you for maintaining this great hide for so long (though it doesn't look like it needs much maintenance!) and helping us fill a hole in our month hidden stats (unfortunately we didn't cache like crazy in the early days and have a lot of the hidden 2000 to 2005 spots still to fill). A lovely (dry) walk with not another soul to be seen.

Out with Team Tyrrell and Orange Crew for a couple of paddling caches this morning, social distancing was well in force on the kayaks.
I was running a little early so I decided to race in and grab this one before the morning activities started. A very straight forward find, easy to see. Log and cache all in good condition

As usual the fun and the frivolity never stops when we boys get together.
Thanks for placing this here for us all.

My geowork friend and I had been working on this puzzle on and off for years and we decided to really have a good crack at it. We were getting no where and I had narrowed down to 3 places that I thought looked the best. My parking spot looked good and I had my mountain bike and ride to the 3 likely spots with no luck. I then went to check out the other spots. No luck with all of them and I still thought my original 3 I chose looked the best. I ended up paf with my thoughts and yes I was on the right track and then realised i put in wrong coordinates. Doh. I soon spotted the cache and happily rode back to my car. I now solved the puzzle properly with some help. Thanks for all the fun.

Today, I decided to take a walk around this lovely piece of bushland. After parking the geomobile, I covered myself with mozzie spray. I knew they would be bad after all the rain that we have had. Theere was a lot of water across the tracks in places, but I mananged to find my way without getting my feet too wet. At GZ, I made an obvious choice to search, only to be disappointed. Then I realised that the arrow on my phone was pointing a short distance away. I followed it and soon spotted the cache. With my name added to the log and the cache returned to its spot, I headed back to the geomobile. TFTC

Mrs Woodyrothwell and I were having one of those days where the cobwebs were taking all their personal vendettas out on us. It’s like they saw us coming and some spiders bum got a rush of blood and set up roadblocks wherever they could.

Walking down the path from the car park wasn’t all that bad because we were on high alert. We were keeping our eyes open for any cobwebs draped in front of us.

When it got time to leave the path and the trees were a lot closer together we just assumed it would be a web-bash which is like a bush-bash but instead of getting scratched by plants you lose the ability to taste food because a soggy mess of something that came out of a spider’s arse ends up in your mouth.

Actually there weren’t many webs on the final stretch which surprised us. I wanted some revenge on some spiders by taking that comes out of my backside and shoving it in their faces. tftc

Time for a few caches with walks to them this afternoon, as well as making sure that 30th of October will not be the only day stopping me from my next found by day loop
This walk was just the right length, perfect temperature too.
Got some help in solving this, my method had left me with a few possible solutions.

Thank you for this puzzle

Pottered around attempting to get a likely set of coords for far too long for this puzzle. Had a day planned around the Redland area specifically to collect the older generation caches so this triggered another attempt to solve where is Tinklepoos. After looking for the obvious (again), tried one approach that I'd attempted before, but this time used everything on offer.

After collecting a few other oldies round the place. I went where the car GPS took me only to find steep banks dipping down to the drain and newly collected water. The one spot I could have parked was already taken by someone loitering in the area.

So going around the corner, the ground was level with the road, and mainly dry. Walked through the gate and was confronted with a number of large puddles. Was kicking myself for not coming one week early when everything was still dry. With 450m odd to walk, the first 100m had water and mud galore. Then the rest of the trail was dry. Taking all the paths on offer only had to bush bash a short distance. At my selected GZ my confidence started to wain after check three spots. Maybe my solution didn't look far enough . . .

Expanding the search area found a conspicuous accumulation of timber which hid the cache. All was good in the world again. Thanks If for a nicely set out puzzle and a FP for your efforts.

A recent puzzle solving frenzy on the W series resulted in a few nearby puzzles being sucked into the vortex This morning’s outing was merely a puzzle mop up.

Puzzle - I took a different tack than the CO intended and narrowed down the list of possible locations before looking at a map. For that reason, I couldn’t get a definitive answer A previous finder pointed out the bleeding obvious and then the path to Tinklepoo’s location became clear. As a devoted crazy cat lady it was my mission to rescue her from the baddies today

GZ - an old cache, I mean catnapper hideout, but everything is clean and dry. Located Tinklepoo and logged the cache and retreated quickly in case the baddies came back. Dry as a bone in here, guessing it could get muddy at times.

TFTC If A FAVE point for what is a clever puzzle, even if I messed it up

It is hard to believe that this cache has been confusing the heck out of geocachers for over 14 years now [:o]

Thanks for all the longer than usual finder's logs Smile
They do make for fun reading.
And there are many 'big' names on the list !!

FAQ's ...
... "Why is there no geochecker for this cache !!??" [:o]
Because it would spoil the puzzle of course Smile
If you solve the puzzle,
you will have only one definite coord to head for Big Grin

Though I have enjoyed the logs from finders who go searching through the mangroves and mud [^]
Kudos !! Smile

Out for a day of caching with KerriMG. I asked if we could head out this way as I’d like to grab this older cache. Lovely walk and we soon had the container in hand.
Lovely puzzle that is simple once you know what to do (but that’s the way with all puzzles) and luckily it didn’t take long for the penny to drop withbthis one.

Monday. Out today on my own as Mr SP was doing his Christmas duties visiting his parents. Whilst in the area a few times before, I’d been plugging away and visiting a couple of the listed co-ords. Finally today was the day and cracked this one. Love this area. I managed to think I could park in a nearby area (soon changed my mind on that). Turned around and found a much better parking spot. A short walk and soon had the great cache in hand! Love the idea for this puzzle cache and no snakes, ticks, leeches. Just a couple of spiders but they are easily avoided. I even managed to have a nice undisturbed seat whilst I signed the log. Everything is in great condition with this cache, nice and dry. I read through the log book at some of the older smileys. Funny how the book has been written in from both ends! Made our mark and headed back to the geomobile (I love making WPs when I leave the pathway and I’m glad I did today as well!) Wink Best get back home now being it is Christmas eve and all RazzRazz Merry Christmas from Slow Puncture.

This was the 3rd of 3 caches found on today's trip.

Thanks ***If***, for showing us this place. Smile

Looked at the cache description and thought too hard and put it aside for another day.
Recently I was checking what caches I needed to complete my D/T rating grid and this one came up.
Lucky the day was raining so I could dedicate the time in mapping this out to find the final.
With final coords finally, I thought I would grab this one to fill my Spell February challenge "R".
Parked at likely entry point and started my walk only to discover with the recent rain, the path was covered with water.
Well the only thing to do was take off my shoes and proceed barefoot.
After 200m of water covered path, I discovered the best place to walk was along the sides where the leaf litter gave a good walking surface as I nearly slipped over on the muddy bottom a couple of times.
Near GZ I went bush and located the cache nicely tucked up in its hide. Cache dry and after signing the Logbook, took a few photos then returned it to its hide.
2 days shy of 6 months since last finder. Sad
On my way out noticed the path was closer than the way I went in which is usually the way.
Managed to get back to the car without mishap.
Thanks for an interesting puzzle and location.

The morning had been set aside to help clean up Tingalpa Creek in the name of a CITO event which had been planned. When the event was archived yesterday at the eleventh hour for reasons unknown, a group of us decided to "Damn the Torpedoes!" and do it anyway for the sake of the creek. This gave me an opportunity to grab a few local caches beforehand.

I was on the right track solving this one but needed just a little nudge to help point me in the right direction. Sunday morning was a great time to take a walk, everyone else was sleeping off their hangovers! Container is in great shape.

Thanks **If** for bringing us here, this find makes Smile #3581. Discover our trackable TGQNRV.

With so many new mystery caches being published lately we decided we had best get out & find the ones we have in our 'Solved but not yet Found' file.
We found solving this one relatively easy.
A nice pleasant wander in here to GZ.
An easy find helped by the fact that the cache wasn't concealed very well at all.
Found IPS. Sad

I'm not sure if there's a puzzle to solve here or not. I looked up all the coordinates on Google maps and chose 3 or 4 of the most likely. I checked a couple of them a few weeks ago and finally made it back to check the others today. It turns out I only had to go to one. TFTC If

Definitely deserves a longer an better log, but life has been busy and a lot of the niceties have been slipping. In any case I was out this way on the August Road Trip challenge. A quick check of the map and I saw one of my solved If puzzles was close so it was a no-brainer to make a detour and take a looksy.

It was a lovely morning for a walk. Even though I did find a few spiders I didn't notice mozzies or snakes, so every thing was pretty much perfect.

The walk was an easy stroll and the find was nice and quick.

I do love these older caches. The contents were in great condition and there were actual logs in the log book (a thing of the past I guess), so I sat down for a read and added a few lines myself.

Thanks If for another fun puzzle and lovely walk. Favorite point will come when I manage to find another few caches!

This geocache was so good, I visited it twice.. that story, coming up next.

I have come to realise over the years that If hides exactly the type of puzzle I like. Deceptively simple mysteries that annoy the pants off me for weeks, months or years on end, but then one day, it just makes sense and makes me feel silly for having not seen it earlier. I had looked at this one time and time again and recently applied similar thinking to it that I picked up from solving a similar puzzle farther west and bingo! I had the correct set of numbers isolated. What a great puzzle - such things are in danger of being awarded favourite points.

Also noted by me, this geocache is older than your average bear, so I was more keen than ever now to find it. This afternoon, with the tail end of a cold I decided a walk on the bayside would be nice. Pen, GPSr and a couple of trackables in various pockets, I followed the path into the area. Depsite the fact my senses are dulled thanks to this annoying cold, I thoroughly enjoyed the patch of bushland. It was peacefully vibrant under a clear blue sky. Looking up as whisps of cloud were gusted by, green treetops and various shades of brown trunks pointing down to the ground.

Kookaburras were chortling away and wallabies were spotted through the long grass. I came as close as I could on the path so grabbed an anti-spiderweb-to-the-face stick and wandered in. I picked out a likely spot and sure enough, the container was tucked away. This must be where the catnapper lives!

Out came the ammo box and I was super impressed. Light rust along the edges and perfect green paint made it just look iconic yet so uncommon of geocaching. Inside was also in perfect condition - what an accolade for a container and logbook that has been living here for over 10 years now! I added my name to the list and from my pocket, grabbed the trackables to leave. A fair swap as there was one in the geocache already that I'll take with me. Re-hidden, replaced and time to return to the car via the second half of the circuit.

When I got to the car it became wildly apparent I was missing my car key. Oh, crap. But I thought about it and it had been in the same pocket as the trackables. I see what I've done. The handful I pulled from my pocket and blindly tossed into the geocache included the key. BUGGER! No option but to walk all the way back, find the geocache and grab my key - hopefully.

As it turned out, I was correct and the geocache for a few minutes held the key to a swap parked nearby insured for a couple of thousand dollars. Not bad if someone had good timing! Everything ended well for me though. I enjoyed the puzzle, the walk (both of them) and the hide itself. Another great effort by Mr. If Smile

Thought we had solved this some time ago so wanted to get it from the solved to the found file while we are in Brisbane this week. Looking on Saturday without success but at the northside puzzle group we were advised to look more carefully and then decided on a different set of cords. Today we probably took the hard and wettest way in but made it to the cache (dodging a snake) and happily claimed the drop.

Whilst hiking with some cachers on some nasty hills recently, I heard them talking about cat napping. And this cache was quickly the topic of conversation. My ears pricked up - and my companion, Swellerfungus, asked if I wanted a hint. I politely declined, as I prefer (mostly) not to get any free rides.

But the mention of catnappers spurred me to take another look at the puzzle. Using the same tool as before, I went down the same path as before. However, the neurons in my head still failed to see the obvious until I came across a feature on this tool that I was unaware of, which helped reveal the secret location.

Happy days! Today, after collecting an earthcache for the souvenir, I thought I'd come and clean this one up. Still can't believe that I didn't solve this delightful puzzle the easy way a lot earlier.

No sign of Tinklepoos at GZ, but I left Hans Solo TB in case the catnappers return. All is in excellent condition here. Thanks If. Favourite point for you for a well constructed puzzle - and to remind me of my own short sightedness.

I do not often find myself over this side of town, and even less often with a little time on my hands. Today was different! I had this one on my solved list of 'If' caches, and thought I would give it a go.
I have never been to these wetlands before, and had no idea what to expect. As I headed up the path I could hear Indiana Jones in my head saying 'Choose Wisely' at the fork in the road. Hmmm which way to go. Unfortunately I did not pick the most direct route, but I will blame a fair degree of iPhone GPS bounce for that. I eventually got 120 metres from the cache and though I would 'go rogue'. I soon stumbled across the cache in the first place I looked - great coordinates thanks! All is well with the cache, and I headed off after signing the log. I continued out the opposite direction to coming in, hoping I would come across the 'other' track that must surely be closer. Yippeeeee I was right. A nice amble back to the car with an abundance of wildlife scurrying, flying and hopping by.
Thanks fro showing me this really nice place If. A nice afternoon walk indeed.

Thankfully it only took a couple of looks at this puzzle before I applied something that gave me an answer to the question. Out grabbing some other caches nearby today so made a slight detour on the way home and to grab this one. Wasn't sure about my access point but decided to chance my arm. Appears I followed in the footsteps of Teamtinda as his log pretty much describe my trip, with the better route found on the way back. Cache found safe and sound in the end. Tftc

We were out and about caching with others from the Northside Puzzle Group, mostly to find puzzle caches but picking up a few traditionals along the way. After a short walk from where we parked the cars, the search began and it didn't take long before the cache was found and the log signed. Thank you for having placed the cache If

We've had this one sitting in the solved folder for some time and today we had the opportunity to grab it. Followed previous finders to parking spot. Where are you going we ask, we have the cache a kilometre and a half away.

Having been shown where we went wrong, and we see how the mistake was made, the new co-ords were entered. Soon after had the cache in hand.

Log signed, cache replaced.

Today I met up with a bunch of fellow caches over a "sumptuous" lunch at McDonalds to nut out and collect some puzzles in the area.
After much discussion I tagged along with those that had obviously lost a lot of sleep working this puzzle Red Face
A convoy of car went out, cache was found and signed by all Smile

Find #1520 a group of us had worked on this puzzle and came up with some numbers well two sets ,so lets try them out ,oh no first ones are wrong , second ones led further into the bush and were good so we signed the log TFTC

Along the way searching for this, came across about four cane toads which had been squashed
by passers by. Can't help thinking that this was an omen on the day of the State of Origin match.
That night the cockroaches (N.S.W.) won the first round!!! It seems there may have been a
bush fire in this area some time ago but it wasn't terribly difficult to find.

A friend pointed out this puzzle at a Event a while ago and I set to and worked it out.
Today I was in the area and walked into GZ.
I was glad I found the right GZ or I had a lot of walking to do.
I think I beat the badies to the loot but those other geocachers took the lot. Just a logbook and a few trinkets left.
Aw well, such is life.
TNLNSL TFTC Thanks If Cool All good with this cache

Thought I would have to search here and there for this one!

Put it away for a while before tackling it with fresh ideas. Narrowed it down to a single GZ and today proved that was it... A clever puzzle... Cache and log (considering how long its been there are) dry and both in VG condition...TFTPuzzle

I like IF puzzles and I like saving cats, so this appealed straight up. But, in common with just about every other puzzle in Brisbane which features multiple WPs, I couldn't bust it. I formed connection after connection, but none of them seemed convincing. Eventually I stared hard enough to not just have the plot thicken but to have it virtually reach out and stab me!
Today I was in the general area to attend to some nearby caches I've adopted, and couldn't resist the chance to pay a visit.
I can't say much about my route, but followed a couple of ideas in earlier logs. At one point, I wondered if I was on private property (I wasn't) and at another point, I jumped through some mud (getting wet feet), only to look back soon after and spot a bridge 20m away (d'oh!)
A very gentle bushbash for the last few metres led to a cache in perfect condition. What a pleasure to wrap up another IF cache and to take some time after signing to look around and see and hear absolutely no sign of the outside world. Super stuff: TFTC once more.

I had to go into work this morning for a meeting and then head out to Tingalpa on the way home. I decided to take the scenic route home and collect some smileys along the way.

This has been on my "to do" list for quite some time. I must confess that the puzzle had me stumped for quite some time. I had even come close to figuring it out accidently, but I missed the bigger picture in my efforts.

I cannot even remember who gave me the hint, but it was enough to make me revisist my previous workings, which I had miraculously kept for some reason.

With the new info taken into consideration it was easy to see where the little kitty would be found.

I set off today on foot having sadly wrecked my geocycle last week. Not too long a walk, but much further than I would normally like ;-P

It was only a few minutes before I had arrived at my choden GZ. Armed with some catnip and a can of Whiskas I was ready to rescue Puss. I did find hime, but it appears he is quite happy in his new home so I left him for others to seek Wink

I had looked at this cache more then a couple of times, but never thought about how to solve it so had just let it go. Then today sitting at lunch looking for some cache to do on the way home and I saw this one and thought I would take another look.

With so many sets of numbers, I had an idea to try and narrow it down, which gave a certain result which I suppose was not entirely unexpected. It is so definite the answer if done this way that no check is needed to be sure. However I did send a check request to a previous finder, to get bad news, that he thought it was another nearby option.

Anyway with two points visited, my original calculation confirmed. It was a nice one to get checked off the map.

The crookedkids are learning to sail at the nearby yacht club, so after dropping them off and watching them sail down the harbour, I hopped on the geobike for a ride.

Knowing I was going to be in the area, I took a look at this one. Initially nothing jumped out. But then I noticed something, which made sense and was feeling pretty confident about my one of "possible" locations. Silly me. Searched this first spot without success.

Further around the track, I stopped and took a look at another possibility. Two down. Have a feeling I am overlooking somethng obvious. Back to the map I suppose.

Thanks If

Right now I feel like Indiana jones when he finds the ark of the covenant. Not sure how to solve this puzzle, but I narrowed the possibilities down to three and found on my third attempt. Cache in good condition. I picked up a geocoin. Thanks IF

Fairly confident I have the correct coods but the GPS on my phone won't allow non street address input. Need to download a better app. I will be back

Had my first go on this. The location most promising on Google Earth turned to be a no-go, the second didn't yield the price, so the hunt goes on...

I had gotten some numbers for this a while ago, but had to Ransome Lokipagan to get confirmation they were correct Wink

So today after fulfilling a "Bright" milestone, I thought I would check this one out. I really enjoyed the bike ride through this bit of forest, and soon it was a quick bush bash and the cache was in hand.

Thanks for the puzzle and cache, and for the introduction to another great green space we have in our city Big Grin

TFTC and thanks to IF for the hint that helped us get there. All the no bikes signs at the start of most of the waypoints stopped us from looking at , they they must have been put up in the last few years.

Tinklepoos' location took me waaaaaaay too long to figure out. After much study my elimination process proved unsuccessful with still too many possibilities. It took a gentle nudge from agap2 and Ms Wig to make me take a step back and point me in the right direction.

Accompanied by Jabiru230 who, in exchange for the puzzle solution promised to take care of any undesirables encountered along the way, we headed off in search of Tinklepoos. We found the right track to follow and arrived at the ransom drop unscathed. Tinklepoos is safe and well as is the cache.

Thanks If for another great adventure Smile

I looked waaayy too hard at this puzzle.. for waaaayy too long Sad I had come up with an answer but I wasn't overly happy with it. Then I sorted out what actually WAS going on - and it was the same answer Razz

So what's left to do but grab the cache? I made my way to GZ in the nice area. I really enjoyed the walk in. Of course, I had a navigation fail on my approach and made life more difficult for myself.

I started the hunt and came up with it after a while. It was in very good condition. TFTC and the fun puzzle, If Smile

I think I first looked at this one a couple of years ago, but was in no hurry to solve it as it was close to home.

I had another look this morning, and in a few minutes I had a ephipany, probalby brought on by the distant cries of poor tinklepoos. Razz

Once I had determined an appropriate way in, new co-ords were put into the GPSr and a check of the family, revealed that the feline lovers perhaps were not as committed to the moggy cause as they tell everyone and were not interested in saving poor tinklepoos! But MrMeccano was concerned with tinklepoos welfare and said he would join in the rescue, and we were off!

I didn't realised that this spot was here. We parked and started wandering off before we encountered a very wet and muddy track. The water in some places was in excess of 100mm, so needed careful negotiation to keep our feet dry was required. Our concern for tinkelpoos only increased at the sight of all the water, and knowing how precious poor tinkepoos feet can be, only drove us on!

We arrived at GZ and after a quick search MrMeccano quickly revealed the hideout, and expecting a releived and grateful cat, we got a cat that was hellbent on scratching everything in sight. So I brought all my football skills to the fore, and dropped kicked tinklepoos into the next suburb! Darn cat.

Anyhow MrMeccano and I recovered all the ransome money, signed the log and then went on a shopping spree. We are having double choc ice cream tonight!

Anyhow thanks If for an entertaining cache! Big Grin

Puzzle solved a while ago - very neat [^]. Found the right way in today and made my way to GZ without any major incidents *cheer!*. Did see some shoes on the way to GZ Razz. A great area and surprisingly dry! Thanks If

If I were a Pirate I'd be expecting X to mark the spot but luckily an easier method of determining the booty pointed me in the right direction. I can confirm there are no rivers to cross or swamps to wade through and the starting location should become obvious once the puzzle is solved. First location visited was indeed correct (actually was only ever going to visit one), there should be no need for guessing as the kidnappers were indeed very careless.

Thanks for an interesting puzzle to solve and for a quick grab on my morning tea break. Mmm, biscuits and cheese whilst caching is good.

It has taken over 2 years for us to work this one out & we wouldn't have got there without a tip. Thanks heavens Tinklepoos got rescued by the smarter good guys.

The GPSr took us to the shortes but wettest way in so we back tracked to the proper way in. The walk to the cache was very pleasant but the mozzies got thicker as we neared GZ.

Good to see the cache well above the high water mark.

Puzzle solved but couldn't find a way in to this one. After wading through water and mud, we reached some dense bushland and decided to turn back. Any starting coords/trails would be appreciated (and yes I can confirm I have solved puzzle first Razz)

I was all prepared to kidnap Baroki Scout and hide her out this way, to secure my own ransom drop... Twisted That was until she revealed that this cache would establish a milestone for her and secure her 300th find... Big Grin To hinder my plans further, she had brought a number of guardians to ensure her safety... I doubt I would have been able to enlist the help of VWNuts, Miss Shy and Taylz in my plot... [B)]

The cache itself was a nice easy find once the GPS settled. A quick game of pass the log and I was left with no choice but to usher Baroki Scout back to her Geomobile and wish her "happy caching"... Wink

Cheers If.

This one has been on my to do list for a while now, today I thought lets get it. Worked out what had to be done and found the right spot. Cache all ok but sadly no sign of 'Tinklepoos'. Lesson learn't, I should have done this one earlier. Sorry Tinklepoos. A geat puzzle really enjoyed it, TFTH.

Worked out which spot out a while ago from around 1800km away. came to a fork in the road and of course took the long way but it was worth it as it was a nice walk around the loop with lots of butterflies about.

Had been starring at all these coords for an eternity, lost in indecision. Told myself "That's no way for a serious investigator to act" so I swooped in this arv and recovered the Ransome. Using my "local knowledge" and perhaps a touch of "psychology" I finally selected my coords and got it right first go (ok, perhaps it was just "sheer, blind luck"). Seems there may be other, more "scientific" (in a geocaching kind of way) methods to solve...but hey, mine worked! Thanks for a very interesting puzzle and a nice walk in the bush, If - svn07

4th of 10 finds for us today.

Luckily Mr Ksix had done his homework and had solved this puzzle a couple of days prior to us caching today. So today was the day to see if he was actually correct or not !!! Wooohooo one waypoint looked at and one cache found.

Nice puzzle this one, we have thought of creating one similar but hadn't found a good place for the cache as yet.

Thanks for the hunt (and Puzzle) If.
Cheers,
Ksix

Now that I have broadband and hence google earth I decided that it was time to tackle this cache. After playing with the waypoints I narrowed down my search to 4 possible locations with one being the most likely. Lucky for me I was right first go. Unlucky for me the GPS lead me on a merry circle once I got within 30m of the cache that I completely lost my bearings as to which way to go to get back to the path!!!! And I hadn't marked that spot or the car. But I had noticed on the walk in that the sun was in my eyes. Why did I notice this? Because the glare was the reason I didn't see alot of the spiders webs crossing my way! So I reasoned that if I kept the sun to my back, firstly I could see all the spiders and secondly I would hopefully come across a path. Which I did. Thanks If for a great puzzle and a lovely walk through a great peice of bushland.

I'll probably never know what made me do what I did while trying to decide which WP to visit first. Maybe it's a case of 'great minds think alike' Razz. Of course it is. So yeah, I went straight to the correct WP and found the cache with no problems at all. TN/LN/SL and read some of the previous finders' comments while feeling quite smug [^]. What better way to say, "good onya IF" than ... "I wish I'd thought of that."

What a clever puzzle! I was a little worried that I might have to visit each location until I read a little deeper into it. I tried one method without luck before stumbling upon the correct approach. After chatting to the owner I laugh at the idea of having to make multiple trips for this!

Great idea and a beautiful location.

I grabbed the Jeep TB,

After running all the numbers through the worlds most advanced intelligence analysis computers and cross checking with a AFP friend I narrowed the points of interest down to just four.

Another cache that's been on our "to do" list for far too long...

We spent ages looking at the clues trying to figure out how to crack the mystery and crack the case. Steve came up with a theory recently that we decided to test out as we were going to be in the area. Success!!!!! We found the well stocked cache hiding safely in its hole.

We stopped briefly to enjoy the area before being chased away by the mozzies! Thanks for the cache!
