Out and about early this morning to pick up a few caches before heading to a gig at Riverstage in the arvo. Made my way to the south side and quickly made my way to ground zero, where it didnt take long to locate the prize.Log extracted and signed. Replaced safely and off on the next adventure.A big thanks to the cache owner for making this cache available for the enjoyment of others.Cheers
Out chasing some of the older caches. After a little bit of bush bashing. The cache was spotted. Tftc
Thanks for the well maintained cache and smiley. Enjoyed seeing the beautiful old lumber.
After a great morning on the Brisbane River, I headed off to do some random caching in the area. Still needing more old caches this one became the next target. I gathered the numbers but used a PAF to confirm them as there are 2 phone numbers on the BBQ. Headed off to GZ and didnt take long to make the find. Took the TB to move on. Thanks Crew 153Find #6059
Nice idea to stop and observe within the park. The walk made my legs itchy. Found while engaging in outreach work! Perks of the job. TFTC. Find #1395
Out and about on this hot day with Elemental6 searching for some oldies. All in good order here. Thanks for the cache Cheers
Nice cache, values obtained and final spotted in very 'cachey' location. Nice hide and great little cache. Thanks for placing
Played on the playground then headed off to the GZ. We found a snake skin on the way then after we found it my boot got stuck in a trap hole lol lucky the snake wasnt there tho Tftc:)
thank you, really enjoyed this one. Unfortunately i found the container upside down and it had filled with water.
I have had this cache on my list to do for years. I’m not sure why it has taken me so long since it is an easy multi. Well after a work meeting today I finally did it. Nice to get a smiley. TFTC!
After a big day preparing for and supervising a teenager’s birthday party, I had to return the picnic tables I had hired to Forest Lake tonight. Knowing that this cache has been recently replaced and having been to the final area before, I thought I would have a go at finding it in the dark. After making my way to the gz I looked around in a few places before finally spotting it in the torchlight. Thanks Crew153 for a fun multi and for maintaining this cache.
I have decided to have May as My Mad, Multi May Month to find 31Multi's in the month of May for a challenge in Melbourne (GC5M69G). At the posted coords the coast was clear so i could gather the information and sit at the nearby table and chairs to figure out the final. On approach to GZ i thought wow that must be the hiding spot and i cant say much more but wow . Thanks for this fun multi and great place for a hide.
It was an early start to the day with a quick and enjoyable event in the city. From there I started a couple of local caches but then I decided to head back to grab a few caches that I went to once before and had no luck with, there was a couple that were nearby also.
This one I had to call the CO on and ask for help, I even called a previous finder who said it was there. Anyways today, the CO and I went back and tried to find this cache. While we both searched around we had no luck, then I searched a little further afield. Then the CO happened to find a new container and log book. We were both happy to see this one stay in the game.
On the walk back we found part of the playground set and possibly the missing coordinates of the original puzzle.
Thanks for the walk and the time to fix this one up today, I hope this one lasts another 19 years.

We were out in the area with E Smiley, Who had already found this one some years ago.
Today it was our turn, and she was very patient while we counted numbers and did the maths in order to derive a set of numbers which would work.
Such an oldie and worth the effort for sure.
The trek into the bush, which was quite short was still somewhat challenging as we made our way through the tall grass grateful to have a walking pole with us.
As we neared GZ, we spotted a likely hide and soon had our name added to the log book.
Thanks for maintaining this oldie Crew 153,
Domsky

Miss11 wanted some time alone with Mummy, so she opted to go caching. We had a great afternoon taking the geo pup on her first geocaching missions. This was the last cache we went to for the day. A simple multi - or so we thought. The check sum just would not work for us. So...luckily a call out to the CO and some discussions revealed that a piece of equipment (the chain ladder) had been replaced.
So with the correct coordinates, we were on our way. Through wet, long grass Not my favourite way to go caching, but I knew this was characteristic of the COs caches, deep in the bush, long grass and all. (We carried the puppy!)
We got to gz just as the CO called us and we were able to confirm that we were at the right spot. A beautiful spot that holds a lot of history.
The CO asked us to find a new clue to replace the chain ladder, so this will hopefully be updated soon. I am glad we persevered to get this oldie.

Changed the question for B. It seems that things have changed in the last 16 years.
Thanks to TripleTurmoil for sourcing the new information for me.

What a spectacularly sized old ….container. Again my prediction was pretty bad but you just get drawn to the final GZ once you start heading down that path. Another Jasmer cache spot filled.
After finding some caches in the Creekwood area today, I had time for one more. Worked out the co-ordinates; the checksum worked out so headed off to gz. I was a bit nervous walking through the tall grass hoping not to see any snakes which I didn't. GZ had me just over the creek which was running quickly due to the recent heavy rain. No activity logs mentioned crossing the creek, so spread my search on this side. I found a little campfire site but no cache, so I looked through previous logs. Eventually one photo put me in the correct location and there I found it, about 40m from my co-ordinates. Whether that was because of the cloudy conditions, tree cover or my calculations (though I did check a number of times), I don't know. Never mind, all good in the end. With such a big container, I left some extra swag. Tftc
Mum and I were both chasing a multi for the day for varying reasons, I was after a particular DT combo and of course we are all chasing old caches. So this multi fit the bill perfectly.
We took a seat and gathered the numbers. Wasn’t long and we were headed off in a likely direction. Came across GZ and found the cache all in good nick, signed the log then took a slightly longer detour back to the car.

Out with Ant24, decided to grab a few caches on our way to our friends place for dinner. TFTC.
Out this morning targeting multies for a challenge.

Great old cache to find, lucky I had my boots on the grass was pretty high.

First multi!! Took a while before geomum spotted it! Loved looking at the old logs in the book. TFTC!!
I have a love of the older geocaches. So much effort went into where they should go and often they are larger containers and this one was no different. I was meeting up with Captain Terror for the first time since pre-covid and we had plans in Ipswich for a friends birthday. I asked if we could swing past this multi as it looked like a good geocache.
We arrived in the area and Captain Terror didn't have any recollection of the park, but we found the clues simply and soon had a direction. As we were heading to GZ we both commented on how this is a very Crew 153 sort of place. A perfect spot for a geocache. At GZ there were a few spots and I was about to start searching when Captain Terror pointed at a very obvious container.
I opened it up and it was the original logbook! After I signed my name I read the early log entries out to Captain Terror as we marveled at some of the legends who have been here. With everything done I replaced the container and Captain Terror found some natural camo to help conceal it a bit better. I spotted a snake skin on the way out so my little legs carried me as fast as they could until I was safe in the car! Thanks for the geocache Crew153

Out this way trying to locate a missing parcel, had no luck with that.
Instead, I went for this short muti.
The cache was not missing but I focused just a few meters out. It is almost a large container!
Thank you Crew 153 for another find

I was out today up on Southside of Brisbane with grannysmith1947 and Miss Millie the geodog. We targeted a few caches today.
21 finds today. 9 Traditional, 3 Letterbox, 2 multi, Earthcache and 2 Adventure Lab with 6 waypoint.
We had a good day
So for the generic post.

This was the next stop while out with PirateLinda... bonus that it’s a Crew153 Cache after his assistance earlier today in Oxley... PirateLinda searched the more obvious place whilst I obstinately stuck to where the GPS had me... needless to say she made the find... 15 years old, doesn’t look a day over 10... tftc Crew153.... left Travel Bug Fernweh to carry on and some American coin...
4th find out with Peppa for the day. Took quite a bit of looking but we got there eventually after checking previous logs. Thanks for the cache.
Our goal today was to find as many older caches as we could. We are closing in on a challenge and decided we would rather rip the bandaid off then just hope it falls off in the shower one day. Now that we can travel up to 150 kilometers from home the goal is now attainable.
This was our first stop and being at a park we hoped there were some facilities to shed the mornings coffees and juice. When we found out that we would have to squeeze for a bit longer we just hoped we didn’t have to walk too far or there might just be a bladder explosion incident. Once we crunched the numbers that agreed with the checksum we were happy we didn’t have to go to far.
Mrs Woodyrothwell came up with the find quickly and then pronounced we had to find a toilet stat! We ended up finding a shopping centre which was lucky because we also found some lunch for later in the day. tftc

Scoob played on the Clues while i was entering the numbers. It was an easy walk to the cache considering all the recent rain. the cache had some water in the bottom which i tipped out but the log was fine. Great to see and old cache like this one still going strong
Great little multi as a drop in to see friends in the area. Numbers came out first try which is very unusual for me. Last cache of 2019.
The third Crew 153s caches collected today another oldie specifically targeted. Spent some time at the final looking for the needle in a hay stack. The cache was found by Gcoven tucked away and under a significant piece of old wood. It's just starting to get warm in the scrub here so was glad we were on our way. Thanks again for maintaining these oldies Crew 153.
Great quick multi that then had us heading bush. Glad it was not as thick as some previous cachers had mentioned! Took quite a while of searching until I managed to bend my old frame down low enough to spot a very deeply tucked away box . Took a bit of stretching to reach it too ! Another oldie in the bag! Tftc
I had been working nearby today, and after an unexpectedly early finish I was able to make time to track down this oldie. I parked near the marker and soon collected what I needed, using the checksum as I was unsure if the items for one had been removed or it referred to something not quite where I expected. I followed the compass to gz and began the hunt. Rain began and I kept hunting for a few minutes before resorting to a PAF. My gps was about 9m off, but again, it was raining and I'm sure the cloud cover didn't help. I found the container well hidden and added my name to the log before returning it to its hide and making a hasty retreat from the rain. Tftc Crew 153!
I'm out with Mrs SP today and we are both looking for challenge target caches. I am trying to qualify for a multi challenge, so as we were in the area, this was my multi for the day. We had no problems determining the coordinates, getting to the actual cache was a little bit more tricky though, LOL! Eventually we found our way through the shrubbery and after some searching we made the find. Coming back out to the path was equally interesting, especially seeing as I ended up picking up a tick as a hitch hiker, ewwwwwww! TFTC Crew 153, another multi done and dusted!

Thursday. Out today with Raynersinoz, we tagged some caches that we wanted to collect. This was one of them as we had this area picked out. After walking all over the object that was hard to miss, and then stepping over the right place, Rayners called out – Got It!. Hmmm. How could I miss that?? Anyway, we signed the log and made out way back out through what we thought was the pathway we came in on. Lovely little multi that has a nice sized container in this area.
This was the 3rd of 6 caches found on today's trip.
Thanks ***Crew 153***, for showing us this place.

Out in the area to find caches for souvenirs, this has been on my "to do" list for years.
Found a parking spot and walked to the playground to do the maths to work out the coords for the final location.
Coords in the GPS and a short walk to near GZ. Found the Blaze Tree and started looking all around but still 20m away. Couldn't get a good lock on GZ so checked all the likely hides but just couldn't find it. Getting frustrated by previous logs "easy find" etc and I could not find it.
PAF didn't answer so rang the CO for some help. As usual, talking to him about possible places, I found it before any real info was revealed!
What a good feeling to be able to sign the logbook on such an old cache.
Left some more swaps as it was looking a bit bare.

Solved the questions and made it within 20m of GZ, but weren’t brave enough to venture any further into the long grass and bush tonight...Will have to return in the day, so this multi can go towards our Planetary Pursuit score .
Out with Benny boppers for some fun. Great hidey hole. Looked over for a while before we got the log in hand. Tftc
Out with jemilucy to clear this area today we worked out our coords and double checked with checker once we were sure we had it we went for a lovely little walk. We new we were at gz by reading past logs. After some scratching around and checking logs again it wasnt too long before i had the container in hand. Tftc
My caching buddies for today had already found this cache, but were happy to stop off for me to find it. I gathered the required information and was soon headed off to the final. I spotted a tree with a very nice blaze along the way. Love seeing these. Long grass got in the way as I continued towards GZ. Hmmmm......a bit of backtracking, a bit of bush bashing and I was soon there. I hunted high and low without luck. Then I expanded my search a bit and thats when the cache was located. Seems there might be a bit more natural cover here now than when the cache was originally placed. I signed the log, returned the cache to its spot, then headed back to the geomobile. TFTC
Sat on the bench to calculate the coords of the GZ. Fortunately was dressed for lantana bashing, of which there was lots. After widening my search area chanced on the right spot to see it from10m away! Saw a big goanna on the way out.
With a milestone coming up I headed South early to try and boost our numbers, targeting a variety of caches between Wacol and Kingston. This older multi was quick to solve, which is always a real treat, and after a short walk the container was soon found among some big timber.

This took quite a bit of searching... and I got caught on thorns on multiple occasions. But when I finally spotted the container, I wondered what had taken me so long! TFTC.
Second attempt. Could not find yesterday, but after much time today it was found!!!

My gps was telling me go elsewhere plus it was jumping like crazy! Anyway- went more methodically .. and found it... not a small cache!! Thanks for the cache!
Out and about with IolantheK for a few hours. Found this one after some and some more bush bash without problems. TFTC
ankakeca and I decided to team up for a few hours today.
A revisit to this one for me, as I ran out of time on my last visit. The info was easily gathered, then we took the walk to GZ. It's very overgrown in there, and we both got some lantana scratches. Lots of searching in a few places, and we eventually got the find about 9 metres from our GZ. TFTC, Crew 153.

After arriving at the park area a quick walk around soon had all the numbers required to give us the coordinates for the final cache. A short walk into the bush area and we were within 6m of the cache. After that the phone GPS kept jumping around and the area was quite overgrown so we had to search a wide area to find the cache. After a little searching I spotted the cache and called out to ned_q24 to make the grab from where he was. TFTH
We arrived at the park and solved the coordinates for the final cache. A short walk to the nearby bush to find the cache. The area is very overgrown so we had to find a trail to the cache. After struggling with the overgrowth we spotted the cache
Yea! A Multi beginning with 'C'! Because of the number of days we are actually going to be away in December, and that we already have enough traditional caches to fill Fangsoki's month of December Spelling Challenge: we have only a Letterbox, Multi and Mystery to do, we thought it prudent to get these three done ASAP and not leave them to chance finds somewhere on our away days.
This cache was of course the 'C' in December, and besides it was a Crew 153 cache and we don't really need an excuse to find one of those! A quick wander through the playground, trying not to look odd to the passing muggles, and we soon have enough numbers to work out GZ. Got the coordinates into the phones and away we went. Oh no - not bush-bashing! It was only a short distance anyway, and Mrs RoddyC forged off into the bush and soon had the cache in hand before I caught my breath and caught up to her.
Found at 4.35pm on 1st December 2015 TFTC.

I was visiting the lovely Whint this morning and she had been held up, so what better thing to do than sneak in a quick cache. I, geowife, am not a lover of multis but this seemed manageable on my own. After arriving at the gorgeous park I gathered all the necessary info and sat in the shelter shed to work out the new co-ords. Oh great that's not too far! I head off down the path and am confronted with a barrier and do not enter sign! Hmm do I enter? Doesn't actually look like any construction is going on right now so I disobey the sign and walk around. I see a large cleared area and pegs all about ready to set up boxing for a slab maybe. I continue in the direction of the cache and enter the bush again, this time with lantana all around. I spot a massive stump and think Yes! but alas it was a No! Another choice looking spot was close but very very large and after searching a few more spots found the wonderfully impressive container. It was half filled with water despite seeming properly closed. I emptied the water out and amazingly the log book was sufficiently dry for me to sign. I dried things as best I could and replaced with its camp again.
Thanks for a great cache Crew153 a favorite point from me.

TFTC. #426. I quickly grabbed the coords from the park and all added up correctly to the checksum. I made my way to GZ via all sorts of plants. There were many places this could be and it took a little while to find the right one. Took the snail TB. Last physical log was 5th March. All in good condition here.

Find #1779
Out & about with Immyky looking to pick up a local cache to keep our streak happening & this one popped up on the radar.
We haven't been doing enough multi's so we've decided to slow down on the traditionals & seek out more multi's & puzzles.
The first stage was over too quickly with Immyky finding the answers while we sat in the shade & wrote them down as they were called out.
Co-ords worked out & now it was our turn. Geo-mamma had 'blown' a thong earlier & borrowed Immyky's so it was the two remaining 'shod' seekers who did the bush walking. That is until it turned to lantana! Then it was all systems go for Geo-pop while Geo-mamma manned 'back-up' stations! It wasn't long & the cache hide was revealed.

Wow I can't beleave I had never seen or heard about this one till this morning, after riding fora couple of hours before work (on sand trails-never again before work) I put to MTB in the jeep and set of for work oh wait still got 45mins so with a search of the closet caches this one popped up about 10th on the list and as unfound, so I headed over that way to start to find all the info in the park needed to locate the final. It's in great condition and what a nice size to (oh the cache too) wow that's a big tree what a Whopper. Thanks crew 153 great little multi in a quite little leafy suburb. TFTCSLTNLN
Dr_Pepi and I decided to make the most of our G20 public holiday and grab a few caches. We parked near this one and our adventures began! Quite an easy little puzzle - good one for the kids, although it may be difficult to move them on from the playground A nice little walk and the cache was in hand. SL - TFTC
Out with trin_007 for a lovely (albeit hot) walk along this parkland area. Started off with this multi - what a great playground this would be to bring the kids to! Discovered the answers without problem and headed off towards the cache. Hang on, it's how far off the path? Ok, in we go, keeping an eye out for any slithering cache guardians. Got to the vicinity of GZ and we were stumped for a little while - always feels a bit awkward when you can't find a cache of this size! Anyway, kept looking around and eventually just had to come at it from the right angle. All is dry and in good condition.

Did the sums, went for our walk, I decide to go a different way when I hear a ummm look at the tree, yep its pretty, oh no I walked under that thing. Ok this cache made my heart beat but for the wrong reasons. We soon made easy work of the find, signed log and I walked out in a different direction. TFTC
Out caching with friends. Quick calculations had us heading in the correct direction. Log soon signed and we were on our way. Thanks Crew 153.
cache find #1814. Out caching today with joojoo57 and Diamonjs. We worked out the calculations and made our way to GZ. What a great spot for a cache. TFTC.
I was out chasing a few puzzles of DRML tonight, who I happened to meet at the CO of this caches' 10 year geoversary (stirling effort that). I thought what better way to round off the night than with a little bit o' Crew153 magic!
So I spied this one kind of on the way home and thought it looked like a good one. I always feel a bit mischievous pulling up in suburbs like this late at night - I think everyone is watching me!
By the light of my iPhone I snuck around quietly and gathered the information. I always seem to stuff up mutt's but tonight I seemed to have everything in order. The GZ looked kind of good, so I gave it a go. I crept in quietly from the path trying not to disturb the homeowners, and made my way in. By the dim, dim light of my phone I had a great big WOW moment and knew I was in a Cre153 zone. How does he find these places?
Well didn't I make a mess of finding this one. I took way to long to widen my circle, and the final resting place was exactly where it should have been. I am blaming the lack of light....but hey - my name is in the log now!
Thanks for another nice multi Crew, fun, fun, fun!

We worked everything out very quickly and found the cache well. Left a few swaps, took home a few scratches, but very happy. TFTC
The first stage was easy, and after a nice walk with many scratches collected on the way, kestal made the find! Another August souvenir! TFTC
Out with angloj hunting for the August souvenirs, this will be our 4th souvenir for the month. The answers were nice and easy to come up with and after a short walk we made our way to GZ. We found the hide safe and well. Great to find such a big container. TFTC Crew 153
Found today! Can't believe it has taken me so long to get to this local Cache! Big old tree! In the area that is! . Well all is here but a few more swaps would be good. I'll pop back and drop some in! Cheers!
Dad and I completed this one over lunch. And then set out with the new co-ords to find the final.
Excellent idea. And a good spot.
Thanks!

Worked the magic numbers and had to go a bit further than we thought we had to. This one took some finding. Surprised at that as it was one of the biggest i have come across for a while.
This is our last find for the day, and PeacefulWolf and I have had the best day following "Old Hag" magic, you are an magical earth mother, thank your love peace and sunshine mummakazz
Out on an early morning caching run with Buzzgirls. Had worked out the coordinates a while ago but this morning provided a chance to finally find the cache. No problems with the find. Tftc
Arriving at the first waypoint some local kids who had decided to meet at the picnic table gave us a few strange looks as a couple of adults inspected and counted various parts of the children's playground
Fortunately having decoded the coordinates the hunt then took us in the opposite direction from prying eyes.
Great to see another old cache still doing well in the wild.
TFTC.

Dropped by this morning on the way to the event at Morningside. We counted the appropriate things at the playground, and made our way down the path to GZ. I couldn't decide where to enter, so I ended up making my own path between some trees. I spotted a tree along the way with "13 BL" carved into it, got no idea what that means. Ahead was a number of likely spots for the cache, though I ended up searching around the wrong area for too long before widening the search area. I noticed the cache sticking out while on one of the large logs nearby, so I jumped down to grab it.

Closest day time multi to the local letterbox cache. I have fun with these sorts of caches as I love counting.
Come summer this area will be overrun with the lantana that is gaining a foothold in here. needs some council maintenance. Thanks Crew 153

A quick trip to Brisbane and it was great to find a Crew153 cache after meeting him at another cache just last week. Took the long way through the bush but got there in the end. TFTC!
I was up the road at Bunnings this afternoon (getting some cache-making supplies, of course) when I noticed this cache was about the nearest unfound. Not sure why I haven't gone for it before - I may have thought it was going to be long and hard or something.
Instead, it proved pretty straightforward, though I was very wary of snakes as I wandered through the wet grass and scrub with occasional lantana, then did a few gymnastics up and over etc. After a bit of mucking around, I got up high and looked down at my phone, only to see the cache just past it!
All was cool inside, though I was sad I didn't bring my TBs and some more swag. In many respects, this is a classic Crew 153 hide and I enjoyed being so secluded while searching so TFTC!
