As one of the last to find, I am happy to take on ownership of this cache if that is permitted. I am almost local to this cache and pass by checking bridges regularly. Kind regards Blenheim Bear
After many years I must regretfully archive this cache as I am no longer actively involved in Geocaching. Thanks to those of you who remain in the true spirit of geocaching.

The White Lion Expeditionary Force set off from Blenheim in search of geocaches and SNOW! Kiwis and the USA were represented. Of course geocaching came first. and this was No. 2 in the series. Mission Accomplished TFTC! Blenheim Bear. This log posted with CacheSense for Android!

New Zealand Geocach found by RadarUSA and Panda (another hunter). Part of the White Lion Expeditionary Force mentioned earlier. Had lots of fun and can't wait to find many more while on our trip in New Zealand!
Out today to do the "30 in a day" component of MGSc we decided to do a round trip from Nelson through Spring Creek, and up the Wairau Valley and back home. This was 36/44 we found, bypassing a few where we intend to return. We managed to dodge the worst of the weather and easily achieved our aim. TFTC
Today a run with Holymu was planned to achieve the '30 finds on a day' challenge for the MGSc. Although just one day we enjoyed all four seasons weatherwise. Total tally 44 and a new personal best. No dificulty finding the caches and signing as the day proved almost muggle-free. TFTC
All that work and then today there were only cattle in sight. I wonder how he'd feel about that. Log full so left another sheet of paper. TFTC #3058
I'm sure it was about five degrees warmer in St Arnaud... It was showing about 9 degrees here, which would have combined with the wind to make it BL*$^Y COLD!
I signed the log at 1725, filling the last available spot. There is room to write on the back of the logsheet.
Thanks for the cache, Captain_S

Was easy to spot where we had to stop even in the dark,Didnt stop to read it,I was freezing, but Mr L did,Next time we are down this way will hopefully be daylight and a bit warmer so will stop then.thanks for the cache
We stopped at the roadside monument and signed the log. The Woolly Migration that this commemmorates must have been a great effort. TFTC.

(Signed reverse side of the log just to let you know how that is travelling). Nice quick stop. TFTC.
A quick drive by on the way to rainbow valley, another little history lesson. Thanks.
Easy find , the rest of our trip down the valley was soon disrupted by a truck crash a little further down the road, and a 1 1/2 hour road closure.

A quick detour to pick this off (returning to Christchurch from Wakefield via the Rainbow). TFTC - without it wouldn't have ever stopped to learn this bit of history.
(There was a nice looking mountain bike 'hidden' unlocked behind the monument. I suspect the owner wasn't too far away but it seems totally unaware of the cache).

Heading back to Picton for the boat home, and thought we do this one. Pinetree has been up and down the valley so many times before and never stopped at the monument. Sunrise did a quick dash across the road for an easy find!

What an interesting achievement to be immortalised with a monument, we thought. Still, this is New Zealand...
(Another attempted sheep joke from visiting Aussies... And yes, we love your country!)

Visited in the rain so it was good that the cache was easy to find. Thanks for pointin out this interesting spot.
I've found this cache several weeks ago by traveling around South Island. Sorry - I don't remmember more... TFTC
A quick stop and find while in the general area. Hadn't stopped to check this out before. TFTC, Biggles.
The sheep were definitely migrating today (Dead on a tractor ) Easy find on a beaut day. TFTC.
As a child, Annie would ride on the back of her dad’s motorbike or in the ute as gate opener during many a lesser migration. But even then, it was quite some challenge to keep them all in order and going the right way, never mind the journey these people undertook!!!! TFTC TNTN
we knew of this as a start point for the red hills.the log sheet is a bit damp, nice one
It must have been so hard to drove sheep in the wild terrain then. Had a laugh coming to this cache as I had to follow a stock truck.
A quick and easy find. But the log is mouldy, unprotected by a bag. Good location.
Easy find on a quick detour after the Waka Ama races on Lake Rotoiti.
Lovely day and nice little history lesson.

One of a series of very enjoyable caches we found on our 10 day tour of the the South Island. Searching for caches along the way made it far more exciting than it would have been otherwise and took us to all sorts of interesting places we would not of found otherwise.

A nice drive-by cache. Took all of 2mins to find, log, read the plaque and back in the car! Thanks for stopping us at another informative spot. TFTC
A cold wind by this stage - but still got out and read the info whilst Stretch0 found this one signed the log and then quickly leapt back into the warmth of our vehicle - glad we finally stopped and looked thanks for the cache
Have driven past this and thought one day will check this one out. Nice easy find and finally stopped to read the info . Thanks for the cache
Our first find on a days visit to Blenheim. We started out from Nelson early and decided to take the Tophouse Road to St Arnaud, so we could do the caches along SH63 ... well this turned out to be a REAL adventure! Half way along the Tophouse Rd, we stopped as there was "a bit" of snow so wanted to give Jnr a chance to throw some snowballs. As we were throwing, it started to snow quite heavily so we decided we needed to move along. Passing the snow plough on the other side of the road should have given us a hint of what was to come ... but we continued on, despite the thickening snow .. thinking that turning back would be more of a risk given we were heading down ... passed a Fulton Hogan worker in a 4WD who told us to keep going as he would be back soon & could tow us out if we got stuck ... we made it to the intersection of SH63 only to be faced with a concrete truck .. pulling a semi trailer .. both of which were heavily stuck in the snow! Workers were trying to free the trucks by using gravel to give them traction ... a path was cleared for us to pass, so with the trucks still stuck we continued down the road and onto the cache!
We can honestly say we have never found a cache in the snow before ... but the photo is proof we did ... a real easy find when we arrived at the cache site .. getting there was the problem! TFTC

Wonder how long it took them to take the flock of sheep across; there were hardly any roads I presume. An immense exercise and in particular for the animals as well. Thanks for this interesting reading.

A quick find as a farmer was herding cattle up the road and I wanted to get back in the car before they arrived at the cache site.
