I'd just been to Lysterfield Lake with my walking group and I had a bit of time before school pick up so I had a look around for a cache close by that I might be able to grab quickly on the way. The rain had started as I drove so I broke out the jacket and GPS and walked towards GZ, getting soggy feet on the way. There are lots of tree branch cuttings that have been placed along the top of the bank in the area, making it difficult to see where the ground was. I checked to clue and there were a couple of options, neither of which I could reach easily with all the branches in the way. I decided it was a bit too wet on the ground (and in the creek!) to be attempting this one on my own today, so sadly this one is a DNF for me. I hope to come back when things are drier and with backup from Geodaughter to have another look
I had a little bit of time this afternoon while waiting for the partner to finish work so I went and found a few local caches. This was one of them. Having read the description the satellite image seemed to be on the opposite side of the creek... so I went with the description and was able to make a quick find. The log is slightly damp but still fine to write on. TFTC,
Was caching this afternoon in the Narre Warren area and visited this cache. The oval was closed so parked across the road at the soccer ground and walked over. The heat of the day was intense and tried to make the most of the shadows under the trees as I walked to the cache. Found the cache, SL & replaced. Congratulations on your first hide NarreYouth. TFTC!
Should have come in from the footy ground side. Much easier than the way we came in. Found it anyway. Geoboy got container from where it was so I could fill in log. Not slippery in 40 degree heat today. Still hot though.
This hide had me circling the gz and and me this way and then back before spotting it, thanks NarreYouth for the hide. Being an older cache I wondered how many people have slipped in their search for this one.

Out and about with old Happy Pants getting in the mood for this weekends Mega event.
GPS was a little crazy here but soon had cache in hand.

With Jones3022216. After trekking through the mud and gunk with my runners on, we found it on the other side of the damn creek! It's on the footy oval side. Easy after we swapped sides. Anyway, that was lots of fun and laughs! Tftc!
Pin is dropped on the wrong side of the creek!! After looking high and low on the other side of the creek, getting very wet and muddy we decided to try from the footy oval side and what do ya know?! We found it. Thanks for doing the creek walking Rokmum! What a day! Tftc
A beautiful, sunny, early Spring afternoon and a quick pit stop on the way home from Nanna and Pa's to look for a cache. After waiting for some Mugles to move away Master 9 found it after a little dig around in the grass. He was very excited with his find- a $2 coin! Master 6 took a dinosaur and we left behind some foreign coins. TFTC
Went by the map. Then read previous logs. Other side of the creek. Whilst JSando slipped and Lifelongsinner slid, I reached and had cache in hand. TFTC
Yippee.... its caching day... Or so I thought... I had a HUGE list of things to do today, sigh!
Looking about on the app and this seemed a nice easy cache.. Arrived at the carpark to find all sorts trucks, machinery and a man mowing... I was able to slip off and make a quick find, replaced cache and on my way again..
Thanks NarreYouth for placing this cache :)

Catching up on logs .... How did I miss this one the first time? I think the coords may be out a little and I was probably having a bad caching day last time. A very easy find now! TFTC SL TNLN TBV
found while completing our daily cache, everywhere was busy tonight, but training was over here and we were able to sneak in and the cook claimed the find. This makes our 44th consecutive day.
Took us quite some time. Don't be fooled by the map, found ourselves like many people, on the wrong side of the creek. TFTC
Found it! Mmm, started on the wrong side and bumped into some Narre youth with dogs and intoxicating substances who asked me what I was doing here! What were they doing there?! Anyway managed to get to the correct side without getting wet and made a quick find once at GZ. There were some very woolly sheep and a alpaca nearby and dogs in the pens chasing balls their owners kept throwing. It's a good idea to check gale maps for position of this cache before hunting! TFTC SL It's in good condition at the moment for such an old cache!
This one comes up every now and then when I broaden my search from home for a daily cache. Anyway today found me across the road doing a new cache so I thought I may as well get this one too. Geo children and I walked up the path and noticed a workman nearby luckily he was another 70 meters or so away. The compass soon had me off the beaten track. Eagerly looking for a geo trail I didn't find one. I double checked and YES according to the map I was on the correct side of the creek. Geo children stood at the top while I scrambled around in the wandering jew. I couldn't get my phone to tell me I was any closer than 8m to GZ so I used my caching instincts to find.................... NOTHING! I wonder if it is in fact on the other side? I didn't want to get wet or muddy so this one will have to be an adventure for another day TFTH NARREYOUTH
Nevermind...
Just searching in the wrong spot for too long...
TFTC!
Easier than I thought. Was thinking yoo much about it...

Found it after climbing through a fence and realised we were on the wrong side of the creek
Slippery indeed! Approached from the wrong side so walked around. Waded through the weeds back and forth until Dee with better phone GPS reception guided me to GZ. In the end it wasn't *that* hard and certainly you don't need to go too close to the water to retrieve it. Thanks NarreYouth!
This one is an unloved cache if we get a chance we will come back and repair it. Thanks for the wet shoes.
Found today while out and about with the Geopartner and the Geodog. Thanks for the cache NarreYouth.
Spiffy- and I headed out for a mid afternoon cache run and found this one on our journey and picked this one up on our travels. We both searched for some time making this one a lot harder than it needed to be. TFTC
We had a couple of hours spare time today so headed out south to pick up a few caches with my caching buddy TurnerFamilyFTG. We had a couple of light rain showers initially but overall the weather was pretty good.
Last time I was here many months ago I looked around for a while in obviously all the wrong places which I did again this time, then after looking more closely at the satellite maps and actually believing my GPS I had the cache in hand after a fair few minutes of looking in the wrong spots again and being attacked by a few spiky bushes.
It was a bit slippery though after the rain showers - I'll give you that. Glad to get this one off my list since watching everyone find it after I couldn't.
Thanks for the cache, the hunt and the fun.

Letting you know the cache has rusty, wet and icky contents. The logbook is mostly dry
I was a bit hesitant to find this one as I read the contents were a bit mucky and that the area was slippery. The area wasn't slippery but the cache contents were not in good condition. Happy to cross this one off.
Thanks for the cache

I've been meaning to go and find this for a while but every time I drive by there are muggles about. Initially went looking in the wrong spot but after a quick correction from my iPhone, I had the cache in hand. The contents were rusted/muddy and not in very good condition at all, however the log was still relatively dry.

This was my first geocache & it was so much fun. I am already hooked & look forward to many more.
Been to this dog club many times for competitions over the years. Great arvo out with Tony66 TFTC SL

I receive a text from Stemicmitsar, "Do I want to go caching tonight?" Too right I do!
This was another cache that I'd been wanting to do for some time. Tonight was perfect. An easy find but the container had a fairly large volume of water and even some mud in it. Not nice. SL TFTC

Found this cache on our second try. Next time I will take my lawn mower with me. [:0)]
Looked around a lot of places matching the hint for about 20 minutes but couldn't find anything. Surprised since it's supposed to be a reasonable sized container.
Quick find with crigithis. GZ really lives up to it's name and I had to hang on to a nearby branch. TFTC NarreYouth
Quick find. A few muggles playing with dogs nearby, so I wandered a bit as a distraction while la mina went in for the grab. TFTC
We all know how hard we occasionally make the easy find, right done to walking through the cold creek to check out that thing on the other side that turns out to be nothing.
Quick find, just too a long time. Nice spot.

Found this one with my friends last week, forgot to log it. Was an easy find after reaching the supplied coordinates. Almost went for a swim before my mate yelled out that he found it lol. Thanks!
Quick easy find on the way home from work, on my wedding anniversary (probably should have gone straight home but whats a guy to do??) Anyway, wasn't too slippery in the middle of summer. Quite a few muggles in their whites whacking some balls around on the nearby oval and a few geo walkers walking their geo-woof woofs, none of them seemed to take much notice of what I was doing. Nice, well kept cache for it's age and the simplicity of the container.
This area was very busy today with Cricket and Dog Training going on, still we were determined.
We even managed to think it was on the wrong side of the creek, having to cross back across the thankfully very low water levels.
Cache was found after a bit of poking and prodding, inside was quite wet!!!

Parked at the foot-ball grounds and walked past some youth playing cricket in the nets and other muggles apparently training their dogs in an adjacent yard. Then I made this cache so much harder than it needed to be; slipped down, jumped over, waded in, scrambled up, got prickled and bitten, all while the GPS teased me by suggesting another silly stunt was needed. Eventually scrambled back up, looked around and easily found the cache. TFTC - I'm lucky it was not wet or things could have gotten messy for me.
Found thanks.
I nearly took the the cache name literally whilst retrieving the cache

Wow what a magnificent day to do an epic cache run!!! We saw everything from Shooting Stars to Cars in Creeks. We meandered towards Cardinia Reservoir through the hills to Cockatoo, into the Bunyip State Forest before heading to Pakenham for some night caching and then home. Kay and Tee both had good caching foo today and nary a cache avoided us.
Pulled up at nearby car park and we wandered through the locals cricket training, into the park area and GZ was located, Kay looked one way before Tee finding cache. Log was signed. TFTC

A quick visit back east and couldnt resist a bit of caching! So with a bit of a tromp through wet muddy grass, we finally found it! Have converted my nephew to the delights of geocaching and this as his first cache! welcome to the gang, The Big Lamontski!!!!
signed log, took nothing, left nothing!!

Ended up on the wrong side of the river and made something really easy into something somewhat challenging after a little bush bashing and river jumping I saw how easily accessible this cache was left a well sought after pathtag, remember to log it if you plan to keep it

Took a while to find it but glad we did. Was a little water logged but we cleaned her up a bit. Thanks! Left an octopus for some sweet adventures!
So many trees and not sure which side of the creek it's on. Too scared to walk through all the long grass around the creek.
Went out on the hunt while others were otherwise engaged. I was very careful not to slip as the creek was flowing quite well. TNLN Thanks NarreYouth for the hunt.

I enjoyed the walk out to this one, after parking by the bridge on the road. I had the area to my self, although I could see that mini muggles could easily have been watching from the well worn trails on the other side of the creek.. Thanks Narre youth for the hide and find #2275
Quick find while some of the narre youth played cricket at the cricket nets. Sl thanks Narre Youth for the cache.
Found on my lunch break before I started to mow the footy ground, if I had known there was a cache here I would of grabbed it a while ago, I guess I've been too busy looking after the sports grounds in Casey!!!!! TNLN TFTC!
Mr X picked up with Toy car and Mrs and Mr 80 degrees on the way to the 11.111 event and had time to do a couple on the way.
There were a few muggles playing cricket on the nearby oval, but we walked away from them and across a lovely flat grass area. We walked straight to the cache.
Nice easy find, thanks for the cache NarreYouth

This one proved a little too slippery for us today. We found what we thought could be the spot but no luck! We did see some of the Narre Youth refining their cricket skills. Will put on watch list and hope it has not been muggled.
Thanks for bringing us here NarreYouth.

Drove down this direction after work today in order to do a few caches before the big 11-11-11 events. Met up and went out caching with Xambo4U and 80 Degrees.

Found today with rd_trip, went the hardest possible way but that involved a cool little cubbyhouse!
Wandered along the edge of the creek until I found GZ. The GPS gods were shining down on me today and plonked me right at GZ. I managed to find the cache without slipping, or even sliding down into the creek. Thanks NarreYouth for the cache.

The first find of on a cache run thru Narren Warren today. Pull up opposite the cricket oval just in time to see a guy clean bowel, nice... Cache is in good condition and filled with many swaps, left blue stone took nothing. TFTC NarreYouth

Not that slippery today, great dry day! Added Scooby Doo. Plastic zip bag was torn so we replaced it, should stay dry now! There is now a Bear in there!;) TFTH
Ya! Nice find to introduce cousin muggles to Geocaching after first finding a small that ended up a micro and then finding a Geothief, yours was a welcomed cache - thanks guys!
Yes it is slippery so watch your step. Cache was wet so drained out the water and dried it as best we could.
