As there's been no cache to find for months, I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. driving by on the way home - hadn't updated our GPSr with either the new coord or disabled it. Needless to say we didn't find it. Thanks Anyway
Found GZ fine. Spent about 30 minutes doing a good search at GZ and further a field in case it was moved. I think this one may be missing... worth a check.
14 May 06. Visiting from Canada. Was in Australia for 1 week. However, found 23 other caches in Melbourne area... Was visiting this cache late in the evening and not able to locate it.. Canotage
A lot of muggles with dogs around.
spent about 10min in the rain before heading for home.

Last find of four successful finds in our geo-outing this Sunday. We needed this one as we promised to bring home a swap for junior geocacher #2 who was sick at home. Another cute park with some surprisingly dense bush! Left Hootie TB.
First ever cache find for us. Found without use of GPS unit - used Google Earth and local knowledge. Was a bit obvious - we hid it a little better. Left a key.
This was my seecond attempt. For some reason, I had the coords of the cork tree entered in my GPS on the first attempt! This one was easy to spot, so I covered it up when I replaced it. Nice spot to run a dog, if I had one..
TNLN. Thanks
TNLN. Thanks
Neat little park. I first thought we were going to it’s larger cousin nearby. Quick swap and we were on our way. Not before the lamb in the box baaed. Scary stuff.
This one had me going in circles for a bit. Why goes the GPS only play up for me. With Thylo at work, Thyla decided to do a few caches today. Was not going to give up that easily, had not caught 4 trams and walked in the heat to go home empty handed. After a quick think, and talk to the TB in her company, the cache was found. Great hiding spot. Park is very beautiful, not many people out, which was good for the hunting side of things.

I was on my way home after doing a bit of caching down Sandringham way and was heading through Toorak. It was still pretty early, so I thought I'd see what was nearby and it turned out I was quite close to this one. A rather pretty little park with some great old trees plus a cache - what more could one want? The cache was an easy find, but was pretty damp.

Twentieth Cache of seventy seven for the day: in what we called The Big Assault eighteen hours of none stop caching.
The place was deserted no dogs about today, but plenty of dog doo bags available. A nice little park.
Thanks

No muggles in the immediate vicinity so easy to do a quick search. GPS pointed almost directly to the cache so it was an easy find. As others have mentioned, the cache was quite damp and needed a little maintenance. It took it back to the car and dried it out completely. I threw away a very soggy cardboard bookmark, and dried all the other swaps. The logbook is quite damp and probably needs to be dried out in the sun for a while. I replaced the holey ziplock bag with a new one and placed the log book into it. I also put all the swaps into another ziplock bag to try and keep them clean and dry. As a final attempt to prevent further water damage I put the container into one of the doggy-poo bags that are available in a nearby dispenser. At least the bags are getting some use. Seeing all the dog poo on the ground made me wonder if it gets used for its intended purpose. Other than the logbook, the cache should be in reasonable condition now.
I just loved the look of the old cork tree. Neat!
Took: Damp worry dolls (too hard to dry on the spot)
Put: Dry star rubbery keyring
PS. There is no pen in the cache in case someone wants to leave one in there next visit.

Found it with Watcha quite easily. The contents were a bit damp tho.

Found this one after a brief search. Concerned about the amount of water getting into it however.

Found on 07/08/05 @ 1235 AEST. Whether it was the rain or the cold, there weren't any muggles around today when Facitman, Malby the Geohound and I made this quick find.

My wife is working late tonight with the auditer, (Shes a book keeper)and as I wasn't required at home on time, I went caching instead hoping to pick up 3 or 4. Well I only managed 1, this one. When I first turned up there was a lady with a pet rabbit in the park so I went off to get one of Daks caches and came back a little later.(failed in that quest) Found the cache after a short search. No swaps but I wrote in the book and took some pictures of the cork tree afterwards, which I'll download to this log later. Amazing tree I must say, and a park I'm sure I'd never have found other than by this game.
Thanks very much.
Thanks very much.
Found on a clear winters day - even saw the little Toorak dogs with their little coats on (I wouldn't be seen dead in some of the designs and I am sure I saw one dog scratching against a tree to try and rub off the technicolour coat.) Took: Band aids, Left: Glue. Thanks piggysue.
Was not sure about plunging my hand into the container I found, just hoped it was the cache.
Nice park, it was a bit weird having the seats in the garden, but it made it easier than trying to explain what I was doing there.
The tree is a beauty.
Took: Lizard, Left: Worry Dolls.
Thanks, Robmc.

An easy find after letting the inquisitive poodle return to it's owner.
An interesting container - a form of recycling I'll have to remember when fatherhood encroaches on my geocaching in a few years.

First time I came past earlier today there was a lady cutting the hair on her dog, two feet away from GZ. I took off to caches other and returned some time later.
Luckily the dog cutter was gone, but the hair wasn't. Ook !
I had a quick look at the obvious place and I was about to CITO the trash when it registered with me that it wasn't trash. Whoops.
Took stickers, left stretchy lizard.
Thanks piggysue. Not sure how this cache will fare when the leaves decompose, but we'll wait until then. A nice little park (albeit with seats in the middle of the garden beds.)

Found by Mary & David at 1505. Despite the rain, there were some pampered pooches out for a stroll - had to wait till they moved on. Took memo holders, left fridge magnet. Also took TB 'Goin' Somewhere' to go somewhere else. Our thanks to piggysue.
Our last cache on a very pleasant Sunday, we decided to do a few urban ones as we often find them easier to do at night.
Find in a nicely tucked away little park, it must be hard to have a dog in town
Felt a little bit ill at ease when retrieving and replacing this cache, this one may have been better left for daylight
Swapped TB's
Took tb blue gill
Thanks Piggysue

Found in the darkness 11 of 11 done today. with rabbitto.
"And the highest number of caches I have done in one day."
We all initially came to trythis cache earlier today, but a lady with her dogs had stopped on the other side of the park to have a chat with a neighbour. Oh no and they kepton chatting and chatting and wouldn't let each other go. By the time we came back it was pitch dark, using my mobile phone torch I searched in many places and then thought, Im sure it was where Team rabbitto had checked, and upon rechecking where he looked I found the cache.
Thanks for the cache from M.B..

Found at 6:25pm. Final of ten on our afternoon caching expedition to the city with Xfking. Attempted on the way in to the city but a lady who really wanted to chat with a man across the park who really, really rather wanted to clean his gutters won out and we were as much going to find that cache in the next hour as he was going to get his gutters done.
On the way home made another attempt but the light in the park and the close vicinity of the local houses made this a much tougher proposition than any of the city caches we had just done, especially with every step going CRUNCH on the abundant autumn leaves. The most obvious spot, I had managed one quick look at in the morning and had had another couple in the evening without sucess, then Xfking picked it up only centimetres from where I was looking. Ah bittersweet.
Thanks Piggysue from D & S B-A.

Second of three for the morning; one FTF, one STF, and one TTF--this was the STF. The GPSr was pointing 9m inside the adjacent property, and there was a dog barking at us. Hmmmmm! Was this part of the theme? However, there were a couple of obvious hiding spots, and Emu-M came up with it at 1240.
Some of the paper notes in the cache were damp, although the inside of the container was dry. [?] We signed the log and made our exchange, and then two ladies came along with their dogs, and were in no hurry to move on. We sat on the nearby bench until they moved off, and Emu-M replaced the cache. We left a TB here that we had retrieved earlier in the morning. Thanks to piggysue for the cache.
IN: Memo magnets
OUT: Karabiner-compass

Found 16:00, having been beaten to the punch by Muzza last night Biggles Bear decided to leave this cache till today, only to be beaten to the STF by those EMUs [B)]

I didn't think I'd have time to stop by this cache on the way to work this morning, so I left it for the trip home. As I headed toward it from work, I had the sinking feeling that Biggles Bear may beat me to it.
By the time I arrived, it was well and truely dark, but after a couple of minutes search with the torch, the cache was found. I didn't have any swaps with me, so no exchange was made. My thanks to piggsue for the cache.
