As there's been either no response from the cache owner, no cache to find or log to sign, or it's been a number of months since the last owner note. I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. If you wish to repair/replace/make available the cache sometime in the near future (next 30 days), just contact us (by email), and assuming it meets the current guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it. Should you replace the cache after 30 days has passed please create a new cache listing so it can be reviewed as a new cache.

One of 225 finds during a Brisbane and back drive. Went to Brisbane for 5 days with my family flying up and back while I drove with a car load of stuff for our working holiday. Well a holiday for me and my boys while Leanne had a wedding expo to attend, but we did manage to get to Sea World for a day, where we had a great time, before they flew back.
After some caching in Melbourne it was on to Tocumwal for the night then two more days to Brisbane. Five days there then the same trip back but in reverse. A total of 4516 km travelled with 225 caches found and even a couple of interstate FTFs along the way. The trip turned out to be a trial run almost for a Solar eclipse / Cairns trip I'm doing in November.
After caching in Melbourne I made my way to Tocumawal where I stayed at Blacklegends place (he was in Melbourne) for the night in his newly renovated caravan - very comfortable. Getting some good sleep I was up and on the road, picking up some local caches before getting onto the Newell Hwy and starting the trek north.
This cache proved rather tricky to locate and it took me about 10 minutes of searching before realising where the hide could be. With no muggles about at this time of night I easily retrieved the cache and had the log signed nice and quick. A great little 'monument' as well. A favourite for me.

As the gnome said, the cache is still in place just hard to find (maybe especially in the dark).

As there were no muggles about we had the place to ourselves. Looked and looked around in and above the structure indicated as GZ by the coordinates but found nothing. Started looking further afield, up to 15 metres, but still nothing, although Mr C found a Munzee card (www.munzee.com). No interest in that.
We had to walk away empty handed here. Have coords been changed or checked?

I stayed across the road from this one on the way home from the Mega event at Albury Wodonga. I took the opportunity to check it out again, but it wasnt where I had previously found it. That cupboard was bare, so unless its been moved since my find of 2 years ago, well, its gone again.

12-Apr-12
We decided to give it one more chekc on our way back home and armed with a small hint from a previous finder, we still came up empty handed Sad perphas the CO can check.

Had a good look around for this one as I was staying close by. Thought I had found the hiding place but there was no one home. I confirmed that I was looking at the right spot with a previous finder that night.
Thanks, Robmc.

Second night working in town so wandered up the road after a feed and an ale at the Imperial, armed with the mini-torch. All quiet at GZ so had plenty of time to poke around for a find. Wouldnt be so easy during the day. Many thanks.

Found Squirells swaped GC for TB ..Squirell hubby ....was laughing whilst we retrieved this one ...I thought they were geo suspects when I went into Info centre yep I was right ...The new I was one as GPS in hand ..may have to use it for a mobile phone ..lol....had a gr8 chat ...then they were off..we had a few muggles to contend with ..

25-Jan-12
Yesterday when I was here I let guide myself too much by the last few logs. Seemed often muggles and lots of people DNF including experienced cachers.... So I searched a bit and concluded the same had a nano with me and was ready to pu a replacement cache at GZ. Last night I read the long list of logs and it became clear that it was a much neater and trickier hide than presumed. The logs gave enough clues and since we Luckly stayed at the south side caravan park (not recommendable otherwise) we came by this morning and with rain filling skies and no one around the cache was found were expected all in perfect codition nice and dry. Thanks a lot for such a memorable cache Oldbluedog!

And to all other cacher keep looking and if stuck go back a good two years in logs to get the hints you need. Then it just depends how many people are around how easy it will be to retrieve it. Again TFTC. Cheers Fred

As Fred discovered, this is not an easy cache. It is probably my biggest DNF cache. Good luck folks.

Driving from Adelaide to Toowoomba (with Wessarah) doing a few caches on the way to break the journey and give the geo-grandkids a run. Ooops, yet again we were out of the car before I checked the logs and discovered the cache was missing.

05-Sep-10
Muggled twice recently so offline until further notice.

05-Sep-10
Had plans to try this for a second time in a week or two but again it seams muggles have beat us to it again.

So funny! The new cache was lying on the ground out in the open!! Did some swaps then put back in closest hiding spot to coordinates.

30-Aug-10
Had a good look for this one 3 times, both on the way up and the way back from the Gold Coast. Spent about an hour in total, and could not come up with the find, although based on previous logs, i am almost 100% sure i know where is should have been. So, in saying that and looking at previous logs (the DNF) i put in a replacement cache complete with a log sheet, log book and toys. Please let me know if you are happy with this course of action. I have signed the log. Cheers.

16-Aug-10
I will be finding this one in about 3 days, i will replace the log paper if it is wet, etc. Cheers.

Well this one took a bit of thinking and after being stopped by a very friendly muggle with her dog we were about to give up then geo dad had an idea and found it. Put in some new paper for log. Great hide glad we got this one. TFTC

Ooh, hard. After checking with a friend that it was where I thought it was, we decided to wait for nightfall before attempting this one. Mission successful later that chilly evening, with the cold temperatures keeping everyone inside and giving us free rein on cache hunting. Got it, signed it, and back she went. Find number 14 for the 32nd day of our trip to Tasmania and the Mega Event. Found at 1240 hrs, find number 411 for the trip so far. This one has been on our watchlist since last year, when we found it muggled, so we were determined to get it this year. It was in the exact spot we reckoned it was in. Today, I waited for a break in the traffic and muggles, and made the grab. The log book is a bit tattered from being damp. One suggestion, a rubber O ring, or tap washer inside each cap will keep the log dry. Returning the cache to its hidey hole is easy as, for this one.

Cheers

Luckily I had one of the geokids with me to help retrive this one. Not sure how any one would retrieve this one without some help.

Thanks for the hunt Team Bluedog

On our way back from 2 wonderful weeks on Frazer Island. Nice little road side stop to stretch the legs. Partner xambo4u has finally worked out how he can get me to travel without going to sleep. Love these hide. We attrached some attention as there is only a certain amount of photos old people can take of themselves. We were nearly about to give up as a motor cyclist was getting suspecious of us. I got a quick flash and retrieved it easily.
Thanks for bringing here and for the cache

Found after a bit of a search... I now know that the thing that looks like a sprinkler fitting in the nearby garden is actually....... a sprinkler fitting - but I had to take it apart to confirm this amazing fact!! Great hide. Luckily we were early enough in the day to avoid any muggle issues. Thanks Team Bluedog for an excellent cache. Didn't see the TB that is listed as being there.

Did a reccy on this one about a month ago when we were heading South. On our way North today we again checked out any possibility we could imagine and finally decided there was only one place it could be. A couple of plumbers working on the irrigation system nearby put paid to looking into that one. Reading the other logs 20:30 seemed to be the popular time so we returned then and WOW the jackpot was ours.
Thanks Bluedog

07-Sep-09
Found at 12.55pm GAFF4. Well this proved to be more difficult than anticipated. We checked out the most likely spot for a "small" cache hide only to find nothing. We then went away with the van to do some shopping and while at the hardware store we came up with another theory that it was just nearby. And on our way back, we checked with Bushfire who confirmed our thoughts. Well this is not a small - it is more a regular as far as we can tell. A very audacious hide that we enjoyed in the end!
Thanks guys.

I'm claiming this one as a found even though the cache and log are basically destryed and lying out of reach inside.

TFTC-needs relocation and repair.

20-Mar-09
I would like this one checked out. My guess is it has been violently muggled. Passing through today, and stopped at the info centre. While searching for the cache, we noticed paper around the enclosed model. Looking closer, we realised they were log book pages, torn out and left loose inside the cage. I reckon you would have to be very tall to grab the cache, if it was there. I did check, but nothing there.

Don't you just hate that one way glass when you're trying to find a cache like this. Fortunately, dressed in my green work wear and suitable hat I probably just looked like the gardener. After a quick look at gerrynewgirls level, I soon had the cache in hand from the only place it could be. TFTC TN left token.

Found this one at 15:30 without too much trouble, extracting it was another story as there seemed to be eyes everywhere, especially the staring ones in the phone box down the street.
On second attempt the coast was clear, and thankfully. it still was when I went to replace the cache.

Each time we drove past we formed a new opinion about where this might me. Last time we thought about the places remaining and, this time, leaning on the hint we found the cache.
