Stopped off on our way to the salmon farm after a fantastic ride along the lake. Made a swap. TFTC!
Found it while out on a fishing trip at Lake Tekapo and the canals. Lovely spot stopped while driving back from the canal fishing, the weather was stunning blue sky, no wind, such awesome views, MT Cook was out in full glory, no luck with the fishing . Had the GZ to myself, no one to notice what 1eyednbf (1 eyed and proud of it) was up to, quick easy find, TFTC

Anzac Weekend, and my bf had a photography course in Tekapo, and it's my mum's b day also, so decided to make a whole weekend of it!
Spend time caching together with the fam, and just having a nice weekend in Tekapo. Found 50 caches, but some very awesome ones in some beautiful scenery!!
Last day morning, me and mum snuck out of our accommodation before the boys were up to go and get some caches. We like caching more anyways!!!
Long drive between the last two caches!!
Despite the signs and things, this place was FILLED with freedom campers! Craaaazy! No idea why there were so many despite signs, but I guess there is power in numbers!! (haha, get it? Power? ... lol)
Most hides found with the whole fam were simply signed as 'Team Polak' to save our ink and the logsheet and our hands

Hey, woof... JC Cache Dawg here...
I'm loading all my finds from my Alpha Males (aka GenCuster) logs, where he deigned to remember that I was with him... As if he could forget...06/01/12 16:40 I'd like to report that I led the others straight to the cache - which I did - but the occurrence of a rabbit hole at GZ 'may' have had the teensiest bit to do with it.

The Lake was up a wee bit from the last time I saw it. The power station was not an island.. Thanks for the hide by a shady rock.
Another interesting structure from Papa's past. This was his second favourite behind Manapouri which were owned by the same SOE at the time. Even with the lake low the structure just doesn't show how much of the real station is under water. The turbine floor is a long way down. There is a lift in the station to travel the six or so floors. Papa recalls a contractor friend, who wasn't that happy with confined spaces, getting stuck in the lift once while working in the station alone. He was quite happy when help finally arrived together him out! Another quick find by Guwapo!! Maraming Salamat!

Nice easy find, a few tourists around as Canal Rd closed due to wind (sign at main rd but still they come - and grumble)
I think I just missed another cacher to this one - sad, as I haven't met cachers while out and about this trip. Took shelter from the rain under the rock while signing the log. An interesting spot.
Thanks for the hunt Bitsprayer and greetings from Mandurah Western Australia.

Forgot to log this from way back in Feb/March when last visiting our friends in Tekapo - driving around doing some caches today has reminded me - whoops. Last time left the guys fishing near the salmon farm and biked around to collect some cahes on my Mt bike.
What a fantastic day in Paradise. Blue skies and snowy mountains. Easy find. Left Polar Bear geocoin 7CEPQE. Thought he might enjoy the view and remind him of home.
I know the polar bear was supposed to keep going south but he was about as south as he could go when we found him. Then I hurt my back and we had to return home. Left him at Tekapo B as I thought he could enjoy the view which might remind him of hoome and restart his journery south, this time by a different route.
Quick find on the way to Twizel. Lake very calm today. Oddly, my name is spray painted on the boulder! TFTC

Found after a lakeside orienteering event further up the road. What a scenic area to explore, thanks.
Lake level looking good. North Island cachers' computers won't run out of power this winter. TFTC.
Interesting visit and no one about the area except for the odd camper van. Thanks.
Wow, this cache was nearly accessible without leaving the car It is a very nice spot and I could enjoy the beautiful colour of the lake!
On the way to the salmon farm, we picked up this one. An easy found. Unfortunaly the way to the farm was closed.
