Found - Mrs McMike2012 & I live full-time in our caravan travelling around NZ, visiting the places we want to visit & doing the things we want to do and fitting in a bit of Geocaching here & there we are staying at Twizel & enjoying the nice weather & the fantastic scenery we decided we would go for a bit of a drive to investigate some potential DoC Camping sites & Freedom Camping areas we have previously driven passed here, but with the caravan on the back, it was no place to stop, but not this time, with no caravan on the back, it was an ideal time to stop the Lookout Area was busy with lots of Tourists, mostly Freedom Campers, but after short walk along the Bike Trail, I had the cache in hand so it was, more-or-less, a quick and easy find, logbook signed & cache was returned as found were also pleased to add another 'smiley face' to the tally TFTC ... TN:LN:LS this was #6,546 for us!
Found this one with TTO1 and TTO2 today. TTO1 and I are touring New Zealand with TTO2 for a couple of weeks and our travels brought us by this cache. So, we just had to stop and find it. Great views from this area. Were really enjoying our visit and have been exploring lots of cool spots. Im sure that we will still have a lot that we didnt get to see on this trip, so I look forward to coming back again some time to see some more of this beautiful country. Thanks for the fun!
Extremely windy day today felt like I was gonna get blown over. Beautiful view of the mountains
NZ_B and I are on a road trip to the Geo Toroa Mega and back. I'm also aiming for a multi every day, so it is now titled the "Mega Multi Road Trip." Today is Day 12 from Queenstown to Lake Tekapo. Absolutely stunning views this early evening. We pulled in just as the sun was lighting up the far side of the lake. Might have lingered at the cache location for a while longer than necessary Thank you for placing a cache here, I absolutely loved visiting. It's nice to have a trip where, alongside targeted caches, we also take time to find one's on a whim or ones that take a bit longer. We have all day and the caches are calling...
Found with TravelDragon99 on our way to Wanaka. All is well here. Today is a gorgeous day for anything! After the rain all day yesterday and the winds, the sky today is clear and there is fresh snow low on the mountains. We can clearly see the range, especially Cook. Absolutely awesome view. TFTC
Quick find while staying at the freedom Camp. Great clear view of Mt Cook. TFTC

Wunderschn!

A beautiful view spot, not far from where we camped last night. Yesterday it was cloudy and we couldn't see much of the mountains across the lake, this morning it was stunning. We could see Mt Cook clearly, the sky was blue and the lake was beautiful. Stunning! Thanks for the cache in a great spot.
Thanks for the new container on this one. It is in good shape except for one thing someone decided to use this location for a restroom. TFTC.
Ein kurzer Abstecher bevor wir uns auf die Wanderung zur Muller Hut wagten. Tolle Aussicht!! Tftc

Yet another beautiful day spent around Mt Cook. Once we found the right group of stones, it didn't take too much effort to get the cache. Adding a fav point for the scenic view.. TFTC
1MinnieMoo and I pulled up for this one next. I am so glad we made the effort. We made our way along the path. For the 90th time I regretted not bringing my jacket. I went a little more "pleasant" route than 1MinnieMoo. We soon found the prize safe and sound. A great place for a cache. An easy favourite point. TFTC Bitsprayer
23/9/2023 Find #6598Day 15 of the Fangsoki/1MinnieMoo New Zealand South Island adventure. We were supposed to head from Queenstown to Haast and Franz Josef today however the pass was closed, so we headed up to Wanaka and then across to Christchurch for the night. To break up the drive a little, we stopped at just a couple of caches on the way. A quick pull off to a lovely little area here, we headed off for a short walk to GZ where I scrambled up the slightly harder (and slipperier) way before going across to GZ. Turns out I couldve stayed down low until about 7 metres out. Then back we headed and I ran down to the rocks to grab some photos of the glorious view. Thanks for the cache Bitsprayer.
Thanks for sharing this beautiful place with us. Out for a drive around the lake exploring some spots and enjoying the day
Found with parkgirl13 while on our last week of our epic nz road trip. This used to be my favourite spot growing up in this region.
Great views of Mount Cook and the mountains. Beautiful day for a scenic drive. TFTC

One of several caches we located as we meandered our way from Tekapo to Twizel today. We stopped here to pick up the two hides in the vicinity. A good walk between the two, and both were quick finds although, for this one, I started looking in the wrong lot of rocks initially! Very scenic spot with a great view of NZ’s highest mountain at the head of the lake! #6025. TFTC.
Yay! TFTC! Came all the way from Vancouver BC Canada to find this cache! lol Thanks for being part of the adventure!

Day 2 of cycling the Alps 2 Ocean cycle trail - cycling 42km from Braemar Station to Twizel. We missed this cache and had to retrace our steps back to gz to find it. Hard to spot the rocks with all the greenery on them. Once we came from a different direction the cache was soon spotted. Great views from gz today. TFTC
