Eighteenth of twenty-six caches on my first day in Davis. This is another puzzle that I had worked out before leaving Oz, so I was keen to log it. I parked close to the cache and hoofed it in the short distance to GZ. I had a look around, but couldn't find it. I read the cache description and found out that it was a micro--I had been looking for something larger. I decrypted the hint, and found the cache shortly after at 1730. It's only a micro, so I made no exchange. My thanks to Yamar for the cache.
Sent the puzzle to the prof to back up the counts and we were still off a bit but along came just the right amount of aid.
Budd-rdc was patient enough to solve this one. Mine was only half-completed. The hide was a little evil, TFTC!
Visited with atc. I caught a cold few days ago, so I looked at this while resting in bed. I've played with radio controlled toys before, so no problems figuring out left and right turns. When I looked at the satellite map, I was worried I didn't solve it correctly, but once I arrived at the location, I knew I had it right. The search would have taken much longer without the hints. Thanks for another fun puzzle and the placement!
There was definately a joint effort on both solving and finding this one. We were close be off in one calculation, but hubby recalculated and we were off. We found it pretty quickly today. tftc
Usually, I am prone to make calculation errors and have Frivlas correct them, but am able to figure out evil hides fairly quickly. The usual roles were reversed for this one. tftc
[BLUE][B]Howdy from TRAKD[/BLUE][/B]
FINALLY a day with out the Wee Ones! The Adult TRAKD members had a sitter so we could finish up our [green]Christmas Shopping[/green]. With that done and having some time left on the babysitter meter we decided to do a few caches. I had solved this puzzle a few weeks back while I was sick but had not had any time to come out and find it until now. So, “D’s†and I took a nice little stroll. Unfortunately, this cache was elusive at first. In fact, I even looked in the spot it was hiding at least 3 times. We put our tails between our legs and headed back to the car… then, I decided to use a lifeline. It had been a while since I broke down but could not face a [purple]DNF[/purple] on such a beautiful day. They came through and sure enough I was looking in the right spot just not hard enough. We signed the log and continued our adventure. Thanks for the fun. [green]Cheers[/green]
