Walked twice, to get all answers, coordinates were checked and correct. Walked path again and no sign of cache. Andyfeya is the Bush searcher but I got bugs on eeek. Nice walk though.
Brilliant find! Ollie Vader (5 y/o) says he hopes you enjoy the cache as much as he did! Ollie Vader, Kobe Kenobi, Daft Maul
No luck for me! Out with some muggle friends on Christmas Day wander. Collected the info, and worked out the location, but came up empty. Rechecked my maths, and still no love.
A stunning day so took muggle friend and Mr BP, had a lovely wander around, introduced them to the eel and trout near the carpark area. AT GZ, figured where I'd need to be, found a good sized container and happily signed the log. Thanks for taking us there, my first wander was with Lytteltonwitch, we got some maths wrong, so things weren't going too well! Now sorted.
A nice wander around today. Thankful for the pockets of shade. Thanks for the cache

Oh boy it's embarrassing how long this took me to find. It was pretty eventful! Firstly I walked all the way round gathering the info but missed T. An elderly but very fit looking woman possibly in her 80s was walking with her daughter who was in an electric wheelchair. The mother took off along the trail with the fairy houses but the woman in the wheelchair toppled right over and down towards the pond. Her mother was way ahead on the track. We got her up once the mother came back and I suggested that was was not a good way! After that I found T andI solved the final getting the green tick. Back I went. I must have checked every tree more than once but after I sent a message to BaldEd, wouldn't you know it, I was on the right angle and spotted it. I can't say how many times that has happened to me. Making me look like a fool. Anyway I am very pleased to find it as the other puzzle I looked for today by LGM is missing and I am trying to do Troodles challenge. Thanks, BalEd. I enjoyed the walk twice and the puzzle, hide etc .

Need a mystery to keep my streak going. Got 7 now, I need 10 days. Saving my solved ones to try this and a fine walk. Got the info then back to the van to fire up the laptop as brain a bit slow in the cold. Supposed to be summer not . Set off with my coat to find a couple with their mum sheltering nearby, trying to fix her phone they said. Long look for the cache but finally got it. Heading back they said "we know what you were doing in the bushes". "No you don't" I replied.
Thanks for this. A fine walk until the rain.

Woohoo found it after quite a bit of time working everything out plus PAF to check which ones the / & the * were. A lovely bike ride with Campmotherandken TFTC
Magical area to bike around - thanks Juju54, maths up to scratch - had to get help from a friend to find out what the slash & asterisk was - TFTC
Hmmmm, geocheck was correct, had a good search around but only found a lidless black container
In a few hours the country will change to to Covid19 Alert Level 2 so the cache has been enabled in readiness. Stay safe. Use hand sanitizer.
Due to the government ordered Covid-19 lockdown, I am doing my bit to slow the spread. I will not be accepting any Found logs on any of my geocaches for the period of the Level 4 Alert.
Please do not embarrass yourself, your hobby and your country by thinking that geocaching is essential - it is not.
STAY HOME. STAY SAFE.

We had some unfinished business here from 2 years ago when we sent the CO on an unnecessary maintemance check - sorry about that. Managed to find a different approach today. Still needed to extend our search a little but we really should have found that last time. Feels good to have a smilie here now thanks BaldEd, TFTC # 15,307
We had a DNF here two years ago, almost to the day. Goodness knows why. Today we could skip the collecting of information and the calculations as we had carefully saved the coordinates. We found a shortcut which involved walking the plank, walked across to GZ - - - and picked up the cache. I have no idea why we couldn't find it last time. Oh well, all's well that ends well. TFTC .
Down again for the Xmas holidays. I'd attempted this last Christmas time with no joy, I blame the amount of mugges walking along the track and having my eyes closed...
No dramas this time though, a quick grab and I continued on. Thanks for the placement, this ticks off another Jasmer month!

Got Jill out to help me get around this park a bit faster. Ended up going around twice before returning here to search around for this elusive one. The Seagnoid finally snags it and we are on our way again. I take a different route back - a bit narrower but through the bush. Tobys waiting patiently for us down there. Enjoyed all the info boards. Fav from me.
Its Thursday - day two - Rangiora - Lyttleton today. K2R cycle is in the bag. So lets go exploring in Toby and see where the Geotrail takes for the rest of the day.
Its Waitangi Day - day one of a five day weekend exploring the amazing Canterbury, with The Seagnoid, Zara, Toby, Jack and Jill. Two days Rangiora, a day in Lyttleton and 2 days in Banks Peninsula. I got call from The Seagnoid, hes taking a long weekend. Lets go to the West Coast! Lets Go!! but maybe not the West Coast - rain on the way. So lets go to Canterbury. We leave for Christchurch Tuesday evening after picking up The Seagnoid after work. We make camp for the night at Amberly. Today its off to Rangiora for a cycle trip.

Got seduced by the bridge and it took a bit of getting nowhere before I really looked at where the GPS was pointing. After that - well, it didn't take any getting nowhere! Love this park!
Down to Christchurch with Taybeedragon, Zara and Toby for a five day weekend starting Waitangi Day (which this year fell on a Wednesday. I reckon half the country would have been taking 5 day weekends!). Three days in Rangiora. We did two cycle trails there - having two vehicles makes it so easy. One of those cycle trails was fifty caches. Fifty caches in one day on a bicycle! Then a couple of days exploring the back roads around Akaroa. Darn close to two hundred caches in all. Dropped off a lot of path tags along the way, especially if the cache was nice and dry.

I spent quite a bit of time running around for this one! And a the end, I must have worked the numbers out wrong, as there was no cache at a perfect hint object showing 0m to gz So I worked my way along the path and luckily I found it by a miracle! I was thinking, it must be here somewhere! And eventually, it was. TFTC!!
Hmmm. Good news and bad news, how did we miss it?!?!! Have carefully corrected the coordinates so we'll be back - - - one day. Do hope you enjoyed the bike ride so that your time wasn't completely wasted .
We enjoyed wandering around this reserve and collecting the information. Learned heaps about the Rangiora of bygone days. We were confident that our calculations were correct but alas, were not rewarded with a find .
Wow. 23 months since the last find. Not surprised though. 8 questions to answer followed by 6 calculations plus a walk to find an unknown number of information boards and all for a D1 looks quite intimidating when reading the cache page.
As it turned out it wasn’t quite that bad. A most enjoyable walk to find the information. Unfortunately we made the solve much harder than it needed to be by walking anti clockwise and by not realising that a D1 wouldn’t have all the questions in order. Q8 being found on the first sign [:0]. Thankfully we didn’t go all the way back as we were able to work out what value T was once we had the rest of the values.
Once the numbers were done we backtracked to GZ and Ms M found it on about the fifth hint item we searched.
Thanks for taking us on the walk and introducing us to the history of the area.

A nice place to have a walk round whilst looking for the information. The maths wasn't too hard and the cache was a quick find. TFTC.
How did we miss that last time? Crood K found it practicality as soon as we arrived. Croods must have been having a blind day. Never mind. Loved the puzzle. First one I've enjoyed as it required me to go out and get information near the sight and not learn astrophysics. Hope to find more like this. Tftc.
Ok visited my waypoint (solved coordinates) this time. Even got 13 satellites at one point and with 1m apparently but despite an exhaustive search by the boys and myself, and coming away with lots of cobwebs and sticky weed on us no sign of the cache...if it turns out to be there i will be gutted..excited as well because this has been my favourite puzzle to solve because it actually required you to visit/explore a location to get the answers.
Had a look but light time and weather were against me. ..oh and the gps. Kept putting me at a post or across road. Not near the hint. Hmmm will have an look sometime.
Nice day to be out caching, but had to be easy to get too. My legs are a tad sore after power walking the half marathon yesterday. Who new you used all those muscles. Nice stroll round the lake so warm. Never knew this even existed stopped for a spot of lunch after finding a few caches. Cheers for the nice easy walk.
Out and about with my caching buddy finding some caches in Rangiora.
What a neat reserve. We did the tradionals and then had lunch. While dining at the picnic table we did the maths.
After a bit of a search BBear found it.

Needed particular D/T combos for the license series, and this one fit - not many D1 puzzles out there!!
So after my physio appointment, I took a wonder on, to see what I could see.
A nice lake, some interesting history, and many interesting artefacts from a time gone by also! Good that they have put these signboards up!
Managed to collect all the info, and make an inference as to a number I couldnt directly spot, and I ended up in a reasonable place! Sweet! So took a wonder further, and sure enough, cache yay!!
Consec caching day # 872

YES!! finally made the effort to get back here and try again. Quite easy after all that delay. Thanks BaldEd
Warfi and I enjoyed finding this one at last as we have tried a couple of times so it was great to finally cross it off the list. Thanks for the challenge,
Cracked the puzzle last night while out walking with muggle step-mum, then came back tonight to find cache with Caitie15. Easy find, was a little water in the container and logbook slightly damp but still writeable. Nice wee walk around a beautiful wetland
Found it thank you for placing this hide. Kids loved running around here and looking at all the interesting stuff. Also they loved posing for photos, will upload some soon. TFTC
Visiting Rangiora to meet our first grandchild Orion. Enjoyed walking around this great place. Found clues as we went, solved puzzle, then after a bit more walking soon had cache in hand. TFTC
I solved this one months ago after my Saturday job in Rangiora. But couldn't find it. Then went back today for another look. Fortunately checked the cache page first to find that the cache had been moved and the puzzle altered accordingly. So after a quick recalculate I headed off with muggle hubby . It was a pleasant stroll to get there. Would have thought there would be more people here today enjoying the scenery. Cache quickly spotted. Thanks for moving it, I hate troll caches, especially when there are so many other good places to put them. Thanks for bringing me to this lovely spot
Container shifted (less than 10 metres) from original placement. Formulae and Hint adjusted.
Having done the necessary calculations- was disappointed to have a DNF. Will have to try again
Back for 2nd visit after advice from CO and still no luck. Will have to think about this

On a wee nite raid with Team_Gaters to try and grab a few of the new caches in Woodend that have popped up since WBBT have moved into town. Love it, move into new location and cache bomb it! We ended up finding one at Woodend Beach, Rangiora and a few in between. Last one for the evening as this one involved more wandering than neccessary as we missed the scaupe information board before we walked the entire track! It was a lovely evening and a bit of walking always is good. The information was gleaned quickly enough. Once we looped and backtracked the last remaining number was secured. We made the calculations and headed to GZ. The cache was located quickly. I grabbed a TB and we removed all the lollies someone place in the cache. The log signed and we laughed about the extra wandering. Nice to tick this bluey off the list too. Great history and the park is fantastic. Will try to bring the family out in the day.
Thanks for the cache.

Out and about on an evenings caching adventure with The Wanglers. Great fun and this turned out to be the last of the night...as due to us missing one of the info boards we ended up walking the entire track! doh. Nevermind, a lovely night for a wander. Fantastic history and a great walkway. Numbers were eventually all in hand and we quickly calculated the final and made the find and sign. Great fun. Thanks for placing the cache. Appreciated.
A nice walk in Rangiora, certainly bettrr weather than Chch today. Tried cheating with google at work but only got a few answers. It's actually easier (& more honest) to do it properly.
Thanks Ed, that's completed my challenge for the day. I'm trying to complete the requirements for the 4x4 cache. Just need 4 multis in a day now.

Great spot and an excellent puzzle. Nice walk too. Loved the ducks and the planting. Easy find. Left travel Bug. A favourite from us.
Our first attempt at Geocaching.
Didn't find the cache- signage has been 'tagged' and partially obscured so didn't have all the clues to work out the co-ordinates. [?] Anyone knowing the date of the flax industry collapse as noted on the relevant sign please let me know. Would love to find it, and so would the kids. Lots of fun. Will definitely try again. P.S. nice challenge to have to find the clues to work out the co-ordinates. Thanks BaldEd [:X]

Second attempt and success. Cache was missing first time and a thank you to BaldEd for replacing so promptly. Nice area and a much nicer walk the second time when not raining. TFTC and another interesting history lesson.
The first time we went here we didn't find the cache.sevren said might be lost coz were in the right coordinate.so we give up.on the second attempt atlast we found the cache. tftc
NIce wander around to gather the numbers and on for a quick find. Muggled at GZ by some other cachers. TFTC
TFTC. What a lovely area and wander about. Another little gem from BaldEd. Thanks for the history lesson, its great to see the remanents of the historic industry have been maintained. Cache in perfect condition.
Had to attend a funeral nearby and took the opportunity after to gather my thoughts and find a cache. It is a really lovely spot for one and very peaceful, just me and the birds until at gz when a jogger went by but took no notice of what I was doing. Thanks for this one and I removed food items from the container. Kiwicampnut
Started the walk a bit confused but it then became obvious the information boards weren't all in the same place. No matter, started off a very peaceful walk around the wetlands, almost had the place to myself even. Found answers to all questions except the last one - then on the walk back to the car spotted the answer. Didn't matter anyway as I had worked out a couple of possible solutions on a nice shady piece of grass - which turned out to be right next to GZ. I had a sneaky feeling that GZ was going to be where it was... I was right. TFTC (469)
Headed up to Rangiora to check out this wetlands. Nice informative panels around. Found the cache before finding the last answer, oh well...
Nice day out, saw a trout. A very nice area which I bring out of towners to.
thanks.
thanks.
Really enjoyed the hunt! Not being a Rangiora local it was neat to have a wander through the area and learn a bit about the science associated with the wetlands. Thanks for your effort in setting up and maintaining this cache!
Good to get out and stretch the legs on this one. A really pleasant spot. It's good to see the place recovering after so many years of nasty being dumped in the waterways. The notice boards provide a good summary of the area. Thanks for getting me to stop here.
This would have been an interesting place in its day.Had a walk all the way around the Lake, looking for a clue that we had already past.Did a little back track, and soon had the numbers and found the Cache.Should take notice in future of the Attributes,as we had to leave Bonnie our Geodoggie in the Car.TFTC Cheers W-BBT
Thanks for introducing me to the history of this wetlands park with the coordinate quest from the info boards. It was a nice cool evening and it was almost too dim when I was at the cache location. Nicely and safely hidden. It was also time for swarms of mosquitoes encouraging me to leave the park. Good cache.
Excellent walk, never would of known about this place without geocaching. Swapped a toy car for a carabiner.
We liked this one because it make's you use a GPS instead of just looking at Google maps.
Thanks
Thanks
6202 Enjoyed wandering around Northbrook, calculations were spot on, nice location, many thanks BaldEd.
A nice little puzzle to find the exact location of this cache. Had a geocoin, so we took this and left an item as not many swaps in the cache.
this was our first family find and we had heaps of fun doing it!! well done on the formula, got it right the first time great stuff!!
Terrific spot for a Sunday stroll. Thanks for taking us so far along the path. Amazing what can be done with such a place. TNLN. TFTC.
Beautiful day for a wander around an interesting and very pretty area. Didn't see any fish or eels but did spot lots of new babies including scaup, swans and paradise ducks. Left TB
We've been here before. Really enjoyed this find. Used the only seat in the reserve to work out all the info and voila there it was .Thank you.
