Spent a few minutes searching but had to stop while a group of muggles turned up. Thou wasnt sure what I was looking for based on the description
Full time Nomads, travelling around Australia since 2014. Staying at Coledale camping reserve, today we headed out to check out some of the many nearby lookouts! This of course saw us up and down many windy steep roads, some more than once. [:o)]Yeah found it but felt pretty nervous after all the rain last week. So many roads and footpaths have been undermined as we have driven around today.TFTC The Rats
Heading to Canberra from Wollongong, I stopped off to find this cache. A quick find was made and my name added to the log. With everything returned as found, I continued on my way. TFTC.
Felt a little naughty but I did not have to jump over or go under or otherwise through any fences. Nice views from up here and interesting art. Log damp but usable. TFTC!
Came, read the big red sign warning of potential deathness by going to GZ (ie between fences), left.
TFTC Thank you for hiding this cache. You have shown us a new place and have helped make geocaching an enjoyable activity.
Thanks for the cache. Didn’t bring a pen, thought about inscribing my name with my laser eyes, but thought that there may not be a cache left over. Took a photo instead.
Nice one.
At first I thought why would I need a spoon and a torch? Should I come back? I’ll just go check it out.
Glad I did. Beautiful view and a tricky hide TFTC

#6316.
After a wonderful walk to find a cache further down the path (much easier) we decided to head on and try and reach the top (more difiicult). The hike did test the girls' endurance, but they ended up enjoying it immensely. Mrs. parked at the top and walk down to meet us at this cache. The views were absolutely spectacular today. The container was quickly spotted, but the log sheet was completely drenched. We had a spare log with us and made a decision to replace it as the old one was destroyed. Thanks for placing a cache here for us to find!

A good hide, very sneaky to find! Coordinate is accurate but the log sheet is completely full.
Can't believe I looked straight at it and didn't see it the first time!

Found this cache on our East Coast Trip Day 8 in company of Bazzars. A couple of caches on Mount Keira before heading north once again. Fantastic views. Thanks from D B-A
A great view from here, took a while to find the cache despite checking the spot already.

#9030 (7 of 10 today - including 2 Adventure Labs)
I am gradually catching up with my logging - am currently only a month and a bit behind. But that's still over 100 caches!
To be honest, while I still find searching for caches fun, I'm finding logging less so. But I have to log to get me stats and souvenirs, so...
Only a few Adventure Labs and my First2Finds have been written up in a timely manner - don't want people racing out when it's already been snaffled.
Nevertheless, I have kept up with my 2022 goal of 16 finds per caching day. In fact, for the most part my modus operandi has been to actually aim for 20. So far I've only failed on that a few times, and only by 1 find. Amazingly I'm on track for 19 finds per day, but somehow I expect that will eventually prove too hard as I have to travel a good distance if I want more than a cache a day.
Thanks to all the CO's who have made it possible to keep my goal in sight. Most of the finds have been Traditionals, but a few Puzzle series and the odd other cache type have been grabbed where possible.
Sorry the logs are very generic, but I'll never catch back up otherwise.
###END OF GENERIC ABJECT GROVELLING SECTION###
Before making this find I snaffled an Adventure Lab location. I found:
#9029 Five Islands Lookout
###END OF ADVENTURE LAB SECTION###
Thought it was time again to make a higher number of finds than the Caching Calendar Gods require, so headed south to Mount Keira.
I'm amazed (and a bit disappointed) that, even though I live near the centre of Sydney, it takes an extra half hour to get to Wollongong than it does to almost get to Newcastle. Well, we do what we must, I guess.
###END OF CUT AND PASTE SECTION###
I took a while to make this find - and it didn't help that there were two muggles on the wrong side of the fence taking photos - they were there for the long haul as the camera was on a tripod.
Checked what I thought were the obvious spots but found nothing in the area my iPhone was indicating. Then checked some less obvious spots. After 30 minutes I was ready to leave, and as I did I cast my eyes around one last time and had a thought. Could it be?
So checked my thought. And there it was. Phew.
Completed signing duties and replaced. Time to head back to *The Hademobile*.

Little bit of searching and then the find , all quiet here on a beautiful day . Tftc
Day two on our caching weekend away and Tankengine and I were looking forward to the day.
We had all seasons and it was rather warm - I even got sunburnt. We made some great finds, saw some sweet views and then caught up with the rest of the team before dinner.
This cache: It took a bit to find, but a previous log helped me narrow the the search. Then Tankengine helped with the retrieval. Nice spot and very interesting about the lookout not being very stable anymore. Tftc!!!

Nice to get out and get a couple today while also doing an adventure lab. We definitely took the hard way here up the Dave Walsh track but made the find even sweeter. TFTC.
During our forced Covid -19 lockdown "6" we were going through our note for our trip to QLD Mega and noticed we had missed logging a whole day of caches. Now catching up with those logs. We visited back on 22/4/21 and have no idea how we missed logging this day,
After having luck Keira Kapers ll we headed off to this one hoping for the same result.
We really enjoyed the walk and scenery on the way to GZ. Once there we had to wait until some tourists with cameras had finish snapping away at every angle.
Once they were gone Keira Kapers II bigger brother was also located and we happily added our name to the log and returned every thing as it was with no more muggles.
Many thanks again The Rats for another sneaky hide in a very nice area.

Finally success finding this one. We got a tip from another geocacher and were able to locate it. My husband said he checked this area so many times and was surprised he missed it! Good to finally log a smilely face on this one.
Found with Adventure-fox!
No need to jump the fence however standing on it did give us a really good vantage point

I was here in March and ran from the other lookout to here, after having a broken foot for months I decided to give jogging from one lookout to the other a go, after a few seconds the jog progressed to a run and it felt so good to be able to run again! All because of these caches haha - thank you!
I spotted the most likely hiding spot and made BBS inspect further while I retrieved a stick for the extraction! TFTC

Nah. Looked around for a while. Probably went where I wasn't meant to. Nothing. I really had no idea what kind of container I was looking for, which probably didn't help. Ne'ermind.

Found with My Dad (DJANT) and my Brothers (dart16 & Jedi Anakin) I have my own account now and am trying to catch up to the boys Thanks for the cache.
Thanks to EverestHigh...had to PAF to get a hint as we were seriously stuck. Love this technique and we may use part of it in constructing our 1st hide soon. Tftc
Huzzah! Find #7000 and what a spectacular place to celebrate this milestone.
This big number snuck up on me quickly, as I didn't think I would get to it in 2020 with all that has gone on. But a couple of trails since lockdown restrictions were eased, intermixed with the odd day out here and there and suddenly I was within 6 finds of it.
I teamed up with EverestHigh and we started the day with the new AL along the Forest Path trail north of The Gong, leaving me sitting on 6999. I hadn't quite decided which one should get me the big one, so after some lunch we decided Mt Keira looked a good place to visit. I had been there recently to do another AL and a few other caches. I knew the views would be fantastic, and upon arrival at GZ, we were not to be disappointed. Wow! Just amazing today, with the wind keeping the air clear with unrestricted views up and down the coast.
After checking the area, we cautiously made our way to a few potential spots, and soon the cache was located. Safe from the edge we added our names to the log then EH took some snaps of a very happy Brew.
Thanks for bringing me to this great place. Worthy of a venue to make my 7000th find. Have a FP for the milestone and the views. TFTC

Easy find at GZ. Obey the hint. OCW Brewmaker. This was his 7000th Milestone cache. I used to abseil and rock climb here many moons ago (seems like a lifetime ago), think its time to come back with my geoson. TFTC The Rats.
Looked and looked for this one today but didn't find it. Read the logs which made us even more confused I think, also GPS kept repositioning. Will be back to try again. Thanks.
I was out cleaning out some mt Keira caches with this one being the first. A short walk from the car park and a little bit of searching before I spotted something cache like and the cache was in hand. Thank you
Found after a long search. Our OC had checked where eventually found but missed it first time round. Previous logs helped as lots of options here. TFTC The Rats xo
Found with Loci612 during the OzGeomuster The Gong 2019. Signed the Logbook DSD. Found over 200 caches during the Mega. No bad at all. I also won 2nd in the Battle of the Labs for the Ducky Dip Lab Cache.
Day 10 of our “mum and kids adventure” holiday saw us head into the Gong for some lab caches and normal caches. A quick find here. Amazing to see the pics of the old lookout. Scary. Thanks for the cache.
Day 282 - It being the last day of the event today is the log for the event and it was a great day with the cito and collect a lab and some other items today but nothing like it should have been but hey thats caching.
After being here before it was a second visit to collect our last point on the tour wollongong adventure lab and a success there was mirrored by the success at GZ for this one today a previous visit just missed the cache by mear millimeters
Thanks for that hint The Rats and it was good to meet you at the event.

This one was great the kids had to promise to be sensible to come past the fence. The view was terrific.
Found with McLookers today. We were doing the Lab caches and took the opprotunity to find this one. Had to wait for muggles.
Enjoying being at the OZmega and having a look at the Wooloongong area today. Back on deck today after a slow day yesterday catching up with friends and recovering from the epic AUSmer Mission detour on the way here.
Took in the view and the nano at the lookout and came out here with Lillieb05 to find this one.
Was thrilled to see a Lyre bird on my way out of here.

Ended up at Keira Kapers during some Mega Capers. Walked to GZ with TheTritonz, and had no joy finding the cache until we read the cache page.

Found on our trip to Woolongong for the OzGeomuster. A lovely walk through the forest in the rain and what a view at the end. Thanks again to the rats for another great geocache. The kids especially liked the sculptures.
A weekend adventure up at the Gong with FFLL#1 was planned and put into action. We had already done the scout series, and we had collected the lighthouse series a few weekends prior to the event. This meant we had more time to dedicate to the Adventure Labs, Older caches and some more unique caches. Was a great weekend away and always alot of fun with FFLL.
Off for a short stroll and a search for another cache at another cool location. Took a couple min to find this one, seems I had run my fingers right past it on the first visit... whoops haha. Log signed. Then we read the sign about the rock formation, now we know why its all fenced off.... the ledge could fall at any time as its got nothing below it ! Stick to the warnings people, do not hop over any fences!

This one took me waayyy too long.
Firstly, I was looking at the wrong items.. initially thinking it wouldn't be over the fence until I read some logs.
(Just what is with everyone with their "Needs Maintennance" and saying its over the fence? Read the logs and cache page, people!)
I re-positioned. I looked.. I felt.. I looked.. I could see others had looked too. I checked an area I had checked 5 times before.. and finally I found it.
Annoyingly, I returned to this postion with Lokipagan later in the day and they found it within 3 minutes
A nice place to visit. Glad I got this one. TFTC The Rats

Arranged with Rapidlywild to head up to the Gong for the Oz Muster as only one of the FFLL team would be able to attend this time. Accommodation booked so we were all ready to roll. We had already knocked off the Light house series a few weeks ago and the Scout series quite some time ago so it was going to be easy going for us. Had a lot more time to do all the lab caches and adventure labs and other caches around the area.
While in the area doing the adventure lab we went on a short walk picked this one up, long drop over the edge here. But great views. Came up with the goods after a second pass.
Thanks for the placement The Rats and thanks Rapidlywild for another enjoyable weekend away.

The GeoFamily and I are off to the Gong for the OzGeoMuster. We got up at sparrow flatulence, and set off in the dark. Mrs Mister JD uses Mister JD with me, but the kids have their own ids, AM_MMJD and Su_MMJD. Dawn didn't appear before Goulburn. We ate at the dreaded Maccas, and on we went to event GZ and about 8:30, where we met our geocaching friends. Hugs, chats, milling about. Then off for a day of geocaching with our mates.
After ou passport / whereigo error, We're still here looking at views and seeking caches. This one was harder, and cunning. with 15 of us, we did get it. Great views again.
Find no 3 of 4 today.

Got off lightly here, as was the case with many a cache this weekend I arrived at GZ to find a search already well under way. Thanks to whomever you were, I can now continue on with the WIG. A very different perspective to its neighbour even though they are so close in proximity,
Found on my adventure to the 2019 OzGeoMuster in Wollongong. A few crazy long days of caching working my way through a huge number of towns en route from Geelong to Wollongong and back, a different route each way leading to different caches, different CO’s and different vista’s, all enjoyable. We targeted caches with a number of goals in mind. Jasmer months, D/T loops and LGA’s were high on the agenda, with priority also given to virtuals, large caches and whereigo’s.
Thanks to The Rats for placing this Micro Traditional cache for us to find. This is find 1254 for BFMC.

Read the description before heading up to this cache with DSD, so we grabbed some essentials out of the car including a spoon that was used for our cereal this morning, a multi-tool which had a screwdriver and a bottle opener on it, a pen as every cacher needs and a torch we brought for those potential night caching moments.
We got to GZ and soon got to work. All the tools we brought along were of great use to us to find this cache with ease Couldn't have done it without!
Thanks to The Rats for this cache and keeping it maintained all these years. Always love finding old caches in great locations such as this. A well hidden and sneaky hide too!

Came out here today and did some further maintenance in anticipation of the upcoming mega.
The GPS was telling us that the cache is now beyond a new security fence. We couldn't find a way past it and didn't want to since the lookout's prone to landslips.
As mentioned by CO, you don’t need to pass the fence to find the cache (the cliff edge fencing).
As we approached GZ we were shocked to see a member of the public sitting on the edge, being SES members mizmaz and I feared the worst..after a few moments of us searching in the area he jumped back over the fencing and heading off to the car park. A bit more of a search and a quick check with CO that cache wasn’t past the barrier a find was made.

Found with a bit of help from a PAF... Marion did the retrieval! TFTC. Forgot pen so pic taken if needed.
There is a new fence up. We could walk run the fence but still pull not find it.
After a DNF at the previous cache we were hopeful of success this time. Alas, when we arrived we encountered a rather large fence designed to keep people out because of a rock fall sometime in the past. We scouted around a bit and found a way to circumvent the safety fence but we were unable to locate the cache. Too good for this time, maybe next time I'm down at the 'Gong
All caches were found sometime between 5:49am Friday 2nd and 6:28pm Sunday 4th November.
I’ve been invited to attend a special event in Wollongong on the Saturday, well why not make it a whole weekend away with some caching to go along with it. About a month ago I started looking at caches I could find along the way and noticed that if things go to plan I could make my #1000. This didn’t end up happening. I found out when I approached the GZ’s of a few of the caches I had chosen didn’t have parking space to stop and/or were difficult to find which lead some caches into DNF’s. I did however love finding all the caches I did find and to end on an even happier note the last cache I found was a FTF (GA13111)!!! There were lots of great camos and styles of hides that I hadn’t come across before and new styles for common hides that provided me with plenty of fun and ideas for new caches. Most of the caches I found were in great condition but for the rest of them, the maintenance required is log books/sheets and/or containers need replacing, camo needs replacing, D/T and coordinates need correcting. On some of the smaller logs I signed as 2/11 JM, 3/11 JM and 4/11 JM. TB visit on all found caches over the whole weekend. I would like to thank all CO’s for the caches I found, the locations I visited and for the fun it provided me over the whole weekend!
Weekend totals:
45 Finds (41 Groundspeak and 4 GCA)
4 DNF’s and a lot of drive-bys
Cache Types: 7 (Trad, Virtual, Mystery, WherIGo, Trig-Point, Earth and Multi)
I am now on my way home. I went for a trip up to this lookout to begin with. I walked over to this cache and soon it was signed and replaced. I then spent some time admiring the view before moving onto the next cache and lookout. TFTC
P.S. Sorry about the generic log.
P.S.S. All Caches found have been logged in order and backtracked to the correct day.
