A nice little wander through the park in the sun and I learned about the area on the way. Once at the final location I used cachers eye to spot the likely hide as opposed to messing around with the compass. TFTC
We now have a personal TB to track the km's travelled while caching so just dipping it in to catch up on the km's

Headed off to this one at about 5pm as we wanted to avoid Muggle traffic! lol Being a cold and showery day there were only about 3 other cars in the car park!
Enjoyed working out all the WP's along the way and there was a dash at the end to find the cache with JMelb finally snaffling one for the day!!
Took black and white soft toy puppy dog (which MMelb has named Kina!!)

Found at about 5:15pm. Enjoyed a lovely walk to get to the destination. Enjoyed all the clues before eventually finding the cache. So many muggles around though. Signed log which is now very full- could do with new log now. Took hello kitty paper clip, left tazo. TFTC
We were sure that we were in the right spot but after a long walk and then look we gave up. Maybe we'll try again later. [B)]
The whole family including GeoDog went on an adventure today. GeoMunchkins on bikes and the rest following behind. We all had a nice picnic and a play on the playground first and then off to get the cache. The cache was out in the open... way out in the open and had a friendly log from a muggle. Nothing seemed missing so we made our log, swaps and hid it nice and hidden like The hiding was hard as it was a beautiful day and every muggle and their dog...

It sure was a day of multis for me! This one was much longer than I was inspecting and made all the more longer by doing a wrong calculation! Anyhow the walk was quite nice and I was interested to learn about the history of the place. The avenue of trees was a highlight.

Sunday, not such a lovely day for a walk but enjoyed the history of the area. Found cache on ground completely exposed, have hidden it in the same specium. Snuffy, the dog enjoys these walks very much.
Nice and easy, I needed that to restore my confidence in looking for some others.
thanks for your efforts.

This one was interesting: I found the sign at the posted coordinates, but couldn't find any information at the first waypoint.
Being resourceful (or lucky ...) I proceeded to the last question and located the cache anyway. The questions in between ... well, I didn't learn the answers.

A fantastic day to finally get this multi off the list. We made our way around the boards learning all about the history and gathering the required information for the final. Once at GZ we needed to sit on the grass for a while and wait for all the walkers and bike riders to leave the area.

Out for a Mothers Day walk with all the family - stopped by to say hi. All Ok
Great place to walk - enjoyed reading the interesting history of the park and found cache easily. Shuffled things around to hide the cache a little more thoroughly.

Been to this park (well, at least the starting point) many a time, but I can now safely say that I have covered most of it. Started this one yesterday but ran out of time so finished it off today, which probably made it longer than it needed to be. Interesting waypoints and a good multi overall. Thanks.

We discovered this park a couple of years ago (pre GC). It's has one of the best adventure playgrounds for kids in Melbourne. Thanks Thyla and Thylo for a very interesting cache. Collected the Geocoin
Found on a dark and chilly night. Luckily we had a torch with us and boxerdog led the way bravely on the end of her lead. We had never been to this park before so are looking forward to a return visit in lighter conditions.

This was a discovery of an area that had changed much since we were kids but its history was never really appreciated, so it was fascinating to follow the trail that this cache lead us on. Unfortunately the day was getting on and we had a dinner date so the last stages had to be rushed, but we will return for a more leisurely study. TNLN. Thanks Thyla & Thylo

BBQ-ed some sausages at one of the picnic spots, washed them down with beer then headed off on the hunt for Bushland Wonder. Enjoyed the walk in a park I had rarely visited despite being a neighbour of it for some time.
Enjoyed the stroll in the park and learning the history of the orchards. Thanks for a pleasant afternoon cache

Decided to do this one as night fell so also missed any views. The waypoints were all spot on and I appreciated not having to do myriad caclulations for the sake of it! GZ was very good too. Thanks Thyla and Thylo for a nice walk and hide and some really interesting information to boot. I really enjoyed this one.
A nice walk at night, unfortunately the view was not so flash in the dark.
I think we walked half way back to where we had just come from.
A nice multi. Thanks, Robmc.

We started on this one earlier in the year (February! eeek!) but had to cut the chase short to attend a birthday party with one of the junior Mob.
Feeling a tad cache deprived we decided on a night assault to finsh things off. Managed to *not* walk over the cliff in the dark, proving that I can avoid the cliffs where neccessary

It took 4 trips to complete this cache. The first time we started the geodogs got impatient so we went elsewhere. The next time on 13th November we got to GZ and searched everywhere at the indicated spot (walking south-east) for almost an hour without success. The next time on 24th December we looked in the obvious place and found the cache immediately at 6:10pm. We were certain the the cache directions must be wrong. Due to other commitments we didn't have time to log the find.
We returned today on a very hot day to log the find at 2:15pm. There was no one around at all and certainly no dogs. With careful checking we are happy with the cache "walk direction" - it may be 10 or even 20 degrees out but it is pretty close. We have no idea why we went in totally the wrong direction the first time!! Thanks Thyla and Thylo. We took a Piglet soft toy and left a Dalmation soft toy (to take advantage of this dog-friendly park). We also took Travel Bug "Shining Light".

Thanks for bringing me to this park. It is quite beautiful and has an interesting history. The cache was easy to find after following all the leads. I did get mislead at one stage when I could not decide which "year" to use at one of the early waypoints. I ended up on the wrong side of the creek and had to back-track. No problem, though.
Lots of muggles around today, so I had to take care when retrieving and replacing the cache.

A very nice walk in this pretty park on a sunny Saturday afternoon. Worked through the clues and spotted the cache in a break between dog-walking Muggles. Had a pleasant sit in the sun as we wrote the log and selected swaps.
s-Facit, in charge of swaps for the day, choose to leave Gorilla, Elephant and Camel toys but elected not to take anything (but the netball net was tempting )

Dad, eldest daughter and Jeffrey the dog set out on a beautifully sunny Sunday morning to track this one down. We started with a play in the terrific playground then went hunting for the clues. Heaps of people were out and about and Jeffrey had a fantastic time, sniffing at lots of other dogs and paddling in the creek. It's a very interesting area (we used to live nearby when I was a kid and there were still acres of orchards) and the council has done well in establishing and managing the whole park.
We got to the final waypoint and my daughter went straight to the cache's hiding place (for a 5-year old she is developing a pretty good caching nose).
Took: 2 Mondo figures, pink glitter glue pen
Left: Kathmandu waterproof pouch, glue stick, Star Wars pen, glow-in-the-dark frog.

Whee. Heading back home after a caching day in the area I thought I'd see what this one had to offer. Hopefully nothing as evil as that 'other' one around here.
I collected the clues as I went, meeting more than a few people on the pathways. Thanks for keeping us to the pathways as everything was very wet underfoot after the rain last night.
Continuing to collect information and read the other interesting history about the area I made my way close and close to the final resting place.
With just a few leaps and bounds I had the cache in hand.
Took bath salts, left new basketball net.
Thanks Thy;a and Thylo. A chilly walk today but it was of great interest especially the information about the various pines around.

Wow, a wonderful park for the cache, even the geodogs can run free. I have a dog but he is too old and blind to go walking out with no lead. I actually came buy last week but found out I had forgotten to bring the cache paper for this cache with me.. DOH.. But anyways, loved the bit of history about the area and the nice walk on such a lovely afternoon. THanks for a nicely set out cache from M.B.

Fantastic historical park for a wander. Took bubbles left toy car. Thanks for the journey Thyla & Thylo. Decided to do the full loop and take in the history.
I enjoyed an interesting and enjoyable walk around this park, learning a bit about the history of the place. I've been here before for another cache but in a different part of the park. Once at GZ, the cache was found immediately, without any disturbance by passers by. Thanks for the cache, for the walk, and for showing me an interesting side to the park.
Found by Mary & David at 1545. Our last cache for the afternoon, and we saved the best for last. A great new (for us at least) park with an interesting and varied history. Not often you see so many informative signs to explain it all, either. We enjoyed a pleasant walk on a sunny afternoon. Mary remembers some of the orchards out this way many years ago. After a tiny mix-up with the first clue, which we soon sorted out, the rest all fell nicely into place. Although there were quite a few people out and about in the park, there was nobody else in sight when we were at GZ. Took buddha, left mondo doll and a golf ball. Many thanks to Thyla and Thylo.
I have visited this park on several occasions for a BBQ when I worked at Hewlett-Packard, down the road, but I never got past the picnic area. Thanks to this cache, that lack in my experience has now been addressed. I hadn't known how much history was attached to the place.
I grabbed the info from the first sign, determined that A=x, plugged in the new coordinates, and set off. I ended up in a grassed area behind the playground. Hmmmmm! Back to the starting point. Perhaps A could be interpreted as x+1? This turned out to be another, even bigger grassed area with nary a sign in sight. Back to the starting for another go. A had to be x, so I headed for the first mentioned grass area again. This time the GPSr pointed me vaguely over "there". Third time's a charm! Not an auspicious start!
However, everything went smoothly from then on. The cache was an easy find at 1150, once I arrived at the last waypoint. I decided to continue around the loop track, and I enjoyed a pleasant walk, until it started raining half-way back to the car. I also passed GZ for kiwideb's "A Diamond in the Ruff" cache; I didn't realise I had walked so far into the park. That cache didn't give me heartburn, as it has for others--I knelt on it. I grabbed the Travel Bug. Thanks to Thyla and Thylo for the cache, and for the history lesson.
IN: Plastic spring clip tool
OUT: Juggling ball (now if I can find another two of them . . .)

Noticed this one come up in my cleared patch yesterday afternoon - couldn't let that go unanswered could I, so off I detoured on the way to work this morning to deal with the offender .
I'd previously visited the other end of this park on several occasions looking for Diamond in the Ruff (aka "Thorn in the Side" or "Blight on my Patch"), but the trail from this end is much more picturesque - really lovely on this drizzly morning with all the trees dripping and not a puff of wind. The only drawback - when you ride a motorbike to work, a 2km walk in full winter gear leaves you more than just a little hot under the collar - positively dripping with perspiration. Not to worry, the temperature was cool enough to get me back to a reasonable state by the time I got to work in Hawthorn .
I had no swaps so TNLN

I noticed this one come up yesterday and even advised Alsume that the FTF was there for the taking as I had other business to tend to at lunchtime. He too was unable to go so the FTF would have to go to someone else this time, or would it??
It was still available last night, and surprise, surprise, it remained unlogged this morning. The wet roads and very light drizzle was enough incentive to drive to work so the attempt was on.
I gathered the clues and found the cache easily at 9:20 in the second place I looked for our 9th FTF ( × 9) and 100th multi . It was time for the Mischievous Monkey TB to part company with us, so in he went for Arty the Armadillo TB (out).
Many thanks Thyla and Thylo.
