It seems a shame to archive such a lovely tranquil location, and I wish I had a spare cache to replace here! The trail is blazed with pink tape from the parking area and is really easy to follow. The waterfall was lovely, but the cache is definitely gone.
Cache is long gone. Multiple DNF's and maintenance request have been logged. Cache hasn't been found for 4 years, CO has not maintenanced cache and has not beeen active since 2008.
Quite a testing 'walk'. Deemed the last few meters too dangerous on my own. Do not attempt this one alone or with bad knees. Sad to miss cache but happy to see falls. Kutgw
Mr Felix searched the area, but sadly a DNF for us here today. [8)] Hopefully we were just cache blind again.
But he spent over an hour searching and relooking! [B)]
Beautiful spot.

Walked down here with geopartner to see the waterfall and fossick for some sapphires in the river. Spent a very enjoyable day above the waterfall. Good to see the cache survived the big flood of 2011. TFTC!
Spent about half an hour hunting for this one while geo-partner played in the creek further upstream. He came down to check on me and found it in about 10 seconds What a great location! TFTC, loved this one!
Wow...what an adventure.
We srarted following the pink flagging down the hill, but lost it and went down to the bottom, finding flagging at the bottom. We then went to the left and found the falls... very impressive... and the cache.
The trip back was more interesting...
Plus Elle decided to follow the flagging, which went along the creek for several hundred meters. I decided that we were getting too far along, and better start climing. We climbed up for a while, then came to a clearing with some former activity, including a tent structure full of crates, and some abandoned water pipe and a car battery. A local told me later this was a growing site a few years ago.
We then made it up to the old road, but were not sure if it was the same one that came out at the car, so went farther up to the highway. We then found out we should just have followed the road.
The local told us the road goes right down to the river, and the bridge no longer exists. If we had just continued walking along up the creek, we would have come to the road and an easy walk up to the top without bushwhacking.
All in all an interesting cache and walk through the forest.

The best cache we did in Tasmania! Such caches are the reason, why we love geocaching! The track to the cache was challenging and what a surprise when we arrived at the waterfall. We thought a while, where we would hide the cache and we were at once successful there. Thank you so much for leading us to this place!
A very late log I'm afraid, having just completed a thorough reconciliation of finds whilst out on adventures with Cached and/or Robtas - slacky Wacky missed just a few (cough cough)
Many thanks aloysius7 from the Wacky one

Found with Liz and Bruce, Robtas and the Wackys, and my son Stelith. One of the Stelith logs is actually robtas... Will get that fixed.
Great set of falls, infact we're heading back there to do some photography.
Thanks for the cache

We had tried to do this one late one evening when we were driving past but after a quick look decided the trail did not look inviting enough. Returned today with a positive mind set and after following the cache instructions found the way to access the trail and were rewarded with great scenery and a cache. thanks aloysius7
Great cache!
Bit of a tough walk, losing the Pink Tape every now and then, and wondering why the tape goes back up towards the car when we realised it kept going down.
Absolutley Awesome falls, and the rocks made for climbing right up for a photo.
TFTC, TNLN, And I was knackered going the way back up to the car...

A very nice location. A bit tough on the knees, but otherwise well worth the effort. TFTC
Wow... what a superb place for a cache! The falls are absolutely beautiful - probably the nicest I have seen in a long time, aided by the beautiful forest and bush setting. Thanks aloysius7 for bringing us (me, The Flying Padre and our co-conspirator) here. Had no trouble finding our way to the falls following the pink tape and our ears, although the terrain was rough. Located cache very quickly thanks to improved GPS signal obtained once we were out of the trees and on top of the falls.
This will definitely go down as one of my personal favourites.

We had looked for this cache last year but without success. Today we returned with greater optimism given the number of recent finds. The first thing we noticed was the very welcome improved marking of the track. Previously there were occacional piece of pink tape, often 30-50m apart. Today the pink tape was rarely more than 5m apart. Many thanks to the person or people who remarked the track. On arrival at the falls we were more impressed than before because of the greater volume of water, some of it due to the overnight rain. Previously our GPS had been quite erratic but today it kept taking us back to a particular area. A careful search of the area and the cache was in hand. Harridge Falls is a very impressive area and highly recommended to visit. TFTC aloysius7.
Oops, we managed to drive past the pink tape on the first day of our NE trip , so had to come back on the last as these falls were one of the definites on our list of things to do. The pink tape took us to the falls without problem, although they also seemed to go to other places we didn't have time to explore today (it's always nice to have an excuse to return!). DD found a likely spot for the cache, but it wasn't there. After a more extensive search of the area she realised she may have been sitting on the cache!! T screwdriver L frog bead bracelet. Thanks for bringing us here Aloysius
Found and logged together with Triaden1 .
A great walk to amazing falls . No doubt about this !!
The way down was not easy to find but after we missed the tapes once we managed us down to the falls . Here the GPS wants to have us up and down , on the right side or the left , on the stones in the forest ..... No help to get therefrom and the hint is not much better
But we made a lucky found after two minutes . Not at the bottom and not at the top .....
Thanks for a great hide and a that it was possible to see the falls .

Found on our North East caravan and caching weekend, thoroughly enjoyed everything about this cache. The falls were magnificent and we would never have seen them if not for the cache. Thanks for bringing us here will be adding to our favourites list. Took frog clicker left Dora the explorer. TFTC
Interesting location and the falls well worth the visit but there are so many bits of pink tape you'd be spoilt for choice. No luck finding the cache though, even after half an hour scouring the area. It has possibly been washed away as there is lots of evidence of big flows through the region. Again, a site that would go undiscovered if not for caching.
A real trek in and out for this one and was upset at the amount of bush bashing required to find it. Hate to think what environmental damage to plants, fungi and animal homes, let alone the critters, may have occurred as we slipped and stumbled about on the almost non-existent track. Maybe these falls' tracks should be left to finish going back to nature and we should just keep to areas with well defined tracks so as not to cause any damage. Other than that, the place was great. Took a candle, left a frog clicker. TFTC
We nearly gave up, because couldn't find the entrance. But then we saw the pink sign and the entrance, too,so we could start our trip. A really fantastic and exciting track. Had not too much problems to find the way to the waterfalls. We enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere and the nice weather and took lots of nice photos. Thank you very much, this was one of our favourites. #930
Oh no! One of those caches that involve a steep downhill walk! That means an uphill climb out. For some dumb reason we much prefer an uphill walk and a downhill back. We lost the pink tape a few times. In places the pink tapes were coming thick and fast but then there were a couple of patches where we couldn't spot any at all. After a bit of bushbashing we finally got there. First good test for the new walking boots and as I didn't end up on my a**se I guess they passed. The falls were well worth a look. We were surprised that they are not signposted. Thanks for bringing us to this hidden treasure. We sure have a lot of great waterfalls in this state.
Pink tape here, pink tape there, pink tape everywhere! (Thankfully)
Would never had known about these falls but for geocaching, thanks. T strap, keyring, snake; L screwdriver, croc, highlighters. SL TFTC

Could not believe there is a track, but there is and nicely marked in pink. Terrain needs to be bumped up to extreame/dangerous especially the last section to the cache when wet. took lanyard left vw keyring. This is worth the effort, TFTC.
Final find on a most excellent day of caching.
No problems finding the trail markers, though once you reach the river look at the GPS - the tapes go both down and upstream (and if you can't hear the falls like me, it's downstream!)
Absolute ripper set of falls, I wonder who first found them - it's not exactly an easy to get to spot!
I disagree with the next finder - I think the terrain stats are about right, even during high water four stars would be excessive.
Many thanks again Aloysius, I think the NE is of the state has the highest density of quality caches and you can be thanked for that.

What a blessing pink tapes are. The tape on the guide post is still there and the track is well marked. Not a good idea to be like me and do this one near dark but all went well and the falls were a treat following heavy rains during the week. Round trip took 25 minutes. TNLN Thanks
Pink tape is my friend!! (Couldn't have done it without the markers - the track really did disappear a few times!) Nice falls and a lovely walk - although a really sad reminder of how unfit I am: Left Hubby with bub back at the car, (not baby/child friendly, this one) and thought I should hurry back in case he was worrying that I was taking so long - Nearly died, I reckon! Loved it, though, and I only took so long because I was sitting about with the cache and enjoying the scenery and peace!
GPS was not happy, but I managed to find the cache (without the clue - I'm so proud!) by distance only and thanks to the worn ground where others had obviously been before me.
TFTC! TN, Left mini torch.

Well, that was fun!
Good directions about how to get to start of track. Needed younger TBT member eyes to see those pink tapes though. Absolutely stunning views down the valley and of the falls. A fair amount of water in a dry summer so must be awesome in a wet winter!
Cache was found eventually. TNLN
Thanks, we really appreciated this!

Finally! After driving here on 3 previous occasions and having to leave this cache because it was too dark, getting dark or I was totally stuffed, I have now found it.
I also must be getting fitter because last time I started down the track, I gave up at the water race.
Another great Aloysius cache. You know all the good spots!
Took the TB and coin, left a bouncey ball (remembered a swap this time!)
Thanks.

Desperately scrambled thru thick vegetation down the steep hill, up and down the river bank, and scaled all around the falls...looked for an hour still to no avail. The GPS was all over the place.
The Reef and Beef (buy the $25 option) at the Weldborough Pub was calling by 7.05pm so we had to abandon our search.
We will get you next time .... you pesky little cache.
The pub is a top spot to quench the thirst after climbing back out of the "Predetor" jungle.... just watch out for the aliens.
Definately TNLN.
Thanks for showing us the beautiful falls (and for working off a few of those extra pounds I've been trying to shift after Xmas - the walk out is a killer with two kids and a wife dragging me down.
Cheers

Our 300th FInd! Yay!
So when we were planning our road trip thru Tasmania, this was one of the caches we had to find. After bypassing the parking coords, I had to turn the campervan around on the snaking highway (if you can call it a highway), which was a feat in itself. Quickly made our way down to the falls...
Amazing! Rarely do we find ourselves at the top of the falls like this. After crawling around on the slippery rocks (very dangerous I might add and unnecessary in retrieving the cache (almost lost our camera's tripod down the falls!), we made our way down to the cache and found quickly. Took some more photos and made our way back.
Took at stop at the fantastic Pyengana Cheese Farm to relax and unwind after the hike to and from the cache. While enjoying her latte, TheJohnnyCachers! felt something wet in her shoe, only to discover she brought back a leech! After a short freak out session and a little blood, she decided to check her other shoe and sure enough, had a second leech on her other foot! We are hoping for a full recovery soon. We don't anticipate TheJohnnyCachers! to be joining us on any more trackless hikes like this one.
We really enjoyed the hike and the cache. Thanks for the great stop on our road trip and for #300!

Excellent spot, even though I slipped on the rocks and almost fell into the falls. Loved it, will take people back to see the falls.
fantastic.
fantastic.
Found by McAdies on their Tasmania Trip.
This was one of the best caches we have ever done. Superb.
The track in is really well marked if you follow the pink ribbon. Thanks you for showing us this spot.
Mind the rocks near the falls they are slippery!!!

Began in careful geomum mode following pink tape to tape - abandoning cautious mode from the start and and trusting GPS would have been quicker and easier as you can hear the falls! No leeches. The fix is not too bad but what a hint! Refrained from further bush bashing in favour of a quite contemplation of falls with child who loved the bush bashing and was impressed with the falls - thanks for a fun and beautiful afternoon. This is what we like best about caching, being shown somewhere a bit secret and special.

We found this on our way home from a holiday in NE Tas. A hot sunny day, we were tempted to swim, but had no togs or towels. GPS unit was on drugs or something, and Sog only found the cache by accident while positioning herself to take a photo. Great place. Took 3 marbles, left bubbles. Thanks Aloysius7, for taking us there.
Great Falls, really enjoyed the walk. Between as all we managed to take home 7 leeches. Must go back some day better equiped.
Took kids to explore this cache. Lost 2 on the way (they didn't follow ribbons) found them again after locating cache. Beautiful scenery wonderful waterfall. Took 2 marbles left citronella candle
Ahhh... so thats how you get to those falls!!!
I have driven past here heaps and seen these falls on my 250k maps but never knew how to access them.
Was fun trying to follow the markers to GZ, but in the end we got there.
Found the cache easily once my Geko had got its sanity back.
Sat smugly on 'Smug Rock' while Horus doddered around trying to find the cache...... Lovely spot!!
When I got home I discovered I had donated several litres of blood to the 'save a leech from starvation' fund.....
Thanks Aloysius... A top notch cache...

I think Team Tiges played a bit of a trick with us on this cache - I suspect he took some of the pink ribbons off the trees and decided to have fun with the unsuspecting cachers to come. If there was a hard way to this cache we found it! We followed the pink ribbons and then nothing, no ribbons and no track. Then ribbons appeared but no track still. this one isn't going to be on the Great Short Walks listing anytime soon!
What a set of falls though - very impressive, they are at the top of my (short) list of Tassie falls visited so far. The cache was found after a short scramble over the slippery rocks - note to self, get new hiking boots!!! Accuracy was pretty good with 2 metres showing on the GPS at the cache, which was better than CraigRats Gecko which was telling us about 196 metres away - I think it thought it was still in the car.
The walk back was easier because we must of followed the pink ribbons that Team Tiges hadn't screwed with
All in all a very rewarding cache, I found it much harder going than at Cuckoo Falls simply because of the lack of a defined track, I was very tired at the end of it all, but it was well worth it. It's not that hard - we just made it so

As we were heading out this way we thought we may as well get this one. Even though we didn't want to. It's such a chore having to go to all these damn waterfalls. It can quite frankly get a person down seeing all of these cascades, spouts, shelves, tiers and the like, not to mention all those trees.... I mean, if I want to see water falling I can just go turn on the shower!! The very least people could do is wait until Forestry have logged the area so we can have a road right up to the falls and a nice viewing platform... I mean, I had to trudge through dense undergrowth to get to this cache, what if a tree limb fell on my head or something! So what if waterfalls are the result of thousands of years of erosion, or catastophic geological change. I don't like it! Quite frankly, mother nature can sod off!!!
"No John Gay, down... DOWN! That's a bad John Gay. Bad boy. I've told you before not to try and log my caches! Just for that you can go to your room, and you're banned from old growth forests for a month!"
Sorry about that folks. What we meant to say was that these falls are awesome. They're at the end of a tough but short bash through the bush (it's marked with pink ribbon so you shouldn't get lost), and what you get for your effort is to stand at a waterfall that very few people know about, which has three sections, and at least in winter, a lot of water coming over it.
Thanks Aloysius, this was a great find!
Took - Butterfly.
Left - Caterpillar.
