Logs
Well as it says on the cache page I hope you have taken in the views here as for several years to come the area is out of action.
This cache is along a Bicentennial Walkway project for Northern Beaches Council.
2023 - weed removal and exclusion fencing
2024 - native trees to be planted along the track
2025 - continued tree planting until 1000 trees have been planted on this walk in Mona Vale
Maybe a new cache can be placed here in 2026.
So farewell to an old cache.
It's had an 18 years life, a good run for a cache in such a busy location.

Had a fair look as the sun was going down. Saw the tree in a previous log photo, and a rock that several mentioned, but DNF the cache, real or temporary. I will have to return when I have more time and more light. TFTC Jackscruff
Couldn’t find
Found a rock near a tree
Someone had said under rock so checked under it
A photo of a tree near the rock that someone said, still couldn’t find.

Great day for a walk! I made this way too hard but my device had me on the wrong side of the footpath. I poked around for a while then looked up and noticed something that wasn’t the colour I expected. And there was the container. The container has a small crack in the bottom and is likely to leak when the next rains hits. For now, it’s safe and dry. SL TFTC Cheers… Gaztek
Beautiful day for this part of the coastal walk with wifey. Looks like a temporary container, won't last too long but dry for now.
Time to return to the northern beaches with morty8888 to seek out a few unfound caches and a couple of previous dnf's.
After walking through the trial dog park, which was very popular this morning, we arrived at gz where morty8888 made a quick find. SL and returned as found.
Thanks for placing this cache jackscruff.

A drive up the Northern Beaches with Oldmorty to collect some smileys from old and new offerings. Stopped here where we were met by many pooches off leash and owners enjoying the sun and fresh air. A quick stroll to GZ where we quickly signed and replaced in between passing humans and canines. TFTC!
Surprised to make it this far today getting lost in the game. On a great ride down around the Lagoon and up for a peek at Basin Beach spotting some potential ocean cliff abseil gems. Easy enough find, ta
Looked for little bit but then saw a red back spider and decided to leave because I don’t want to end up in the hospital
Walked past and checked on the cache and the co-ordinates.
Yep its there.
Seems to be difficult for beginners.
Co-ordinates correct on a calm sunny day, on windy or overcast days the tree cover may cause difficulties.

Soooo hard and the dirt trail offs and golf course didn’t help first one we didn’t find️ Wait a minute
We tried but we couldn’t find it, not even the rock in the hint. I think we need more training Thanks!
While in the area today I did the Hospital Walk and checked on this cache.
It's definitely there and despite all the rain and flooding in the area the log is completely dry!
This is a tricky hide and is not recommended for Beginner Cachers.

I have checked on this cache this morning now the rain has eased.
It appears that the original container is now under a pile of clippings and prunings from the adjacent golf course and is not reachable.
I've had to replace the container in a slightly different location. It contains 'write in the rain paper' so should withstand the weather better.

New co-ordinates and a new container.
Even in the rain this is a busy walk so please be stealthy when searching and replacing the cache.

Disabling this one until I can look at it.
With so many newbies unable to find it its hard to tell if its there or not.

Was very upset when I did not find, there was no rock in sight from what I could see, I was exactly on marker and I saw nothing at all. I searched everywhere and found nothing. Very disappointed ️
Thanks jackscruff for maintaining this cache. Lots of muggles so we waited then pounced; no dog for cami for us. TFTC
Initially I made it much harder than it should be. Recent logs helped. SL. TNLN. TFTC
Now that the NSW Government has eased lockdown restrictions and we can now travel anywhere in Sydney it’s time to bring this cache back into play.
Just a reminder, a fundamental rule of geocaching is that, in order to be able to log a cache find online, you must retrieve the cache container and sign the physical log located in that container. Failure to comply will result in your online log being removed.
We know the COVID-19 virus is still about, so please take precautions to keep yourself and those around you safe by doing things such as wearing gloves to handle caches, as well as using hand sanitiser regularly.
Take care everyone and enjoy your geocaching!

Glad to have to found this about 10 years after my last attempt! Couldn't sign the logbook as pens have seized and notebook is damp. Moving the trackable. TFTC
As this cache is in need of my help and I can't get out to give it some love I'm afraid I shall have to disable it until lockdown is lifted.
Hope that's not too long!

Was on the other side of the path we were searching on wasn’t really camouflaged
We were looking for ages and just as we were going to leave, we spotted it! Well hidden but a bit overtaken by nature. Overall this was very fun for our first hunt!
I spent well over half an hour there and I did not find it I think the overgrowth might have taken it over I didn’t really want to go to far into the bushes but it was a nice walk
Considerable undergrowth made the search harder than I’d hoped.
Previous logs suggested this would be a quick easy one, but not for me apparently.
And with some time pressure and lots of muggles, I had to abandon the search.
I seem to have some cache blindness that manifests around this area, I have a couple of nemesis caches along these headlands.
Ah well, we shall return another day

A beautiful walk. It was well hidden. Took our time to cover it back over.
Great walk along here today. Easy find great hide thanks for the cache.
Also picked up NZ Path Tag, thanks.

Out walking with scuba Pete, picked up cache along the way. No pen. Will come back tomorrow with one.
Found with Anominous Sign on Sunday 20/09/2020. Nice walk, but need to watch out for the round projectiles TFTC.
Found with Sandysa on a wet Sunday morning. Had a nice ride here in the B-line bus from Wynyard and then made our way back via the Manly ferry. We crossed the golf course on the way in, trying not to become targets for any small round projectiles.
Took a TB.
Thanks for the cache!
