Found with Relish64 and Chalk it up while spending a few days camping just down road. TFTC
Im taking a trip down to Victoria and couldnt pass up the opportunity to pick up some caches along the way. This was an easy find at a place with an amazing history. The container is in need of replacing as the lid is broken but i was still able to sign. Thanks. #1799
Spur of the moment visit to the Gold Ruins to check the sites & find some caches. This was the first & an easy find.
Our new-to-caching muggle friend missed this one even though he was standing right in front of it, so Ryan Girls and I had to show him how it was done! Log stamped as team name Flame Trees

We are back in the same spot, just realising we found this one a few years back.Weve found this one back after the Clearwater event in Queanbeyan, in 2019 a beautiful spot to come back to and happy to put a smiley here after all these years are finding it.TFTC
Found after camping out at Bummaroo Falls campsite, heading towards our next stopover at the Benalla Showground, finding a few caches along the way. Thanks for the cache CarrollEyre!
Outnabout for some solo caching while travelling from The Great Leap Forward Mega event in Adelaide to the Capital GeoBash Mega in Canberra. Taking the long route today to collect another LGA. Its always a great day for caching. TFTC CarrollEyre
Is someone reads this prior to trekking to the cache, and you have a spare 200-300ml container. The current one needs a replacement. TIA.
#424 Took the long walk to get here, the area is worth the walk either way you come and tremendous history. Found without service. TFTC

I was surprised that I hadn't found a cache in the Snowy Mountain LGA in the many, many times I've cached up and down the Hume Hwy over the years. A detour to Adelong and Tumut was added to the itinerary on a quick trip up to Sydney/Newcastle to ensure this missing LGA was rectified. Nestled in the picturesque Snowy Mountains region of New South Wales, these charming towns promised a captivating experience.
Our first stop was Adelong, a historic gold-mining town that exuded a sense of nostalgia. The town's rich heritage was evident in the old courthouse and the heritage-listed Adelong Falls Gold Mill Ruins, reminding us of the area's prosperous gold rush days. We explored the Adelong Falls Reserve, following the winding trails that led us to stunning waterfalls and tranquil picnic spots. Thanks for the cache Cached & Devil Racer Ryan.

On my way to the Mega at Rutherglen with Wicky. She's not great on road trips, so plenty of cache stops to break things up. Thanks for placing this cache!
Cheers

Found It!
Nice place with lots of history. Found the cache easily but the container is looking a bit worse for wear.

What a surprise!! In our trip heading north we decided to wobble off the route to see what was there. Not prepared for this detour no caches were downloaded so with scant information we navigated towards the cache and found this very picturesque and interesting spot. Bring your bathers - could spend hours here. Replaced the mouldy log and inserted a new plastic bag
DNF for this one, We looked at all the likely spots you would/could hide a cache around near GZ, The terian rating is certainly wrong fot GZ 1.5 you can easaly get to whith disabilaties. also looked at previous logs for any hints. . CarrollEyre.
Attempted to find this at 2:40PM on this Wednesday the 9th of November in the year 2022

TFTC didn’t have a pen and logbook was very soaked. Dropped in a Great Northern bottle cap I found nearby. Beautiful spot and worth the visit
What a superb location for a cache . Unfortunately the log book is soaked and mouldy. Container broken. Snaplock bag split. A msg has been sent to the CO. Thanks for highlighting the falls and ruins that we didn't know existed! Re-hid better than found. This is exactly why we cache! Fav location for sure ️
TFTC this was one of the very first caches I ever come across long before I knew what it was. No pen today but took a quick pic of cache
Quick easy find. Thanks for taking us to this cool location. We had a great time exploring the area. If it wasn't for the geocaches here we'd have never made this stop. The lady in the tourist office had zero advice on things to do other than the must see dog on a tuckbox!

Down this way from Canberra to attend last night's event and this morning's event at Oura. Cached my way home via Adelong (somewhere I hadn't been before), Tumut and Wee Jasper. Cache easily found as I wandered around this historic area. TFTC.

The river was in full flow today and each crossing was underwater. We were not able to explore as far as we wanted but it was fabulous to see the rapids. We approached this from above which was a mistake - doh! TFTC.
We definitely did this the hard way! Had etched this weekend out for a Mega down south, but with that postponed we thought a weekend adventure in the Tumut region would help fill the gap. A lovely trip with crazy weather (I love spring snow) and a few surprise side trips. So glad we made the trip! Thanks for the cache.
Found this cache with Kittykatch on a drive out to Tumut. We stopped and had a good look around - beautiful creek and lots of history. TFTC
Found with GrimRaider on a drive to Tumut. Should have read the description and stuck to the track haha. Lovely spot to visit and explore. I will come back to walk the track further.
Thanks for hiding this cache CarrollEyre

Our trip to Adelong Falls came up with this well-hidden cache, and my eagle-eyed geo-girlfriend MoonShadow98 scored the important find with this one. A short hunt and a bit of a scramble in the scrub, but still secluded enough to prove a challenging find. Worth the trip out this way indeed! TFTC.
Found with Queenofthorns yesterday. Hot day, lots of people about. Bit of a scramble with the geokiddies, but nice hide.

We decided to spend the public holiday exploring Adelong and the surrounding area. We followed the instructions in the listing and spared ourselves some effort. The cache was quickly spotted. After finding the cache, we spent some time cooling off in the refreshing water. TFTC. Took the TB for some travels.

Day three of my travels around Yass and Tumut chasing caches. Drove a few back roads collecting caches amongst the traffic (lots of people were up in the mountains over the long weekend). A good range of caches before heading home around lunch time. Drove through a little part of the summer bushfire country but f I had have headed through Tumbarumba would have been a different story.
Was all quiet here (thankfully) and I followed the crushed grass straight up to the cache.

Easier to find than previous logs indicate. When I read the previous logs I was worried this was a tricky one but relying on Geo-instinct landed me it in no time
Thanks for the cache

Nice and tricky one. Didn't see it first look but thought smarter and cache was in hand.
Thanks to the CO for placing this cache for us and others to find and enjoy.

Took a bit of a hunt but found eventually after cycling in from Victoria Hills Road. Tftc
#6014 8th for today
I was starting to get a bit stir crazy at home so I decided to head out and grab a few caches around the Adelong & Tumut area. It was a beautiful sunny day, not too hot and mostly muggle free, for obvious reasons. I was a bit late getting away due to ScoMo's broadcast this morning. But I still managed to make a good impact on the unfound caches in the region. I particularly enjoyed the wander around the old gold-mining works around Adelong. A bit of water flowing through here today and with the green, it was good to see. Also enjoyed the walk around the wetlands in Tumut. Some lovely views along the Tumut Plains road later in the day too.
Apologies for the smell of hand sanitizer on the log. I went through a lot today.
Thanks CarrollEyre

We are caching with AF-BEE, GeoWinch78 and 6ftzpr&1/2zip making our way from Jindabyne to Albury enjoying the scenery and grabbing some caches as we go. This is a very interesting site and it was fun exploring the different areas of the operation. Glad the water was not too much higher or I would not been able to get a cross. Thanks Cached & Devil Racer Ryan for the hide and the fun.
Found with AF BEE, 6ftzpr&1/2zip, and ondago while on a geocaching vacation. Thanks for placing this cache.
We are on a geocaching adventure with ondago, AFBEE and GW78 finding lots of fun caches along this route to Albury. We will give this one a favorite. TFTFun

This one was found by accident and pecked our curiosity as to what geocaching is. We have now signed up to join in these adventures! Thank you
Fantastic history and a top location. Got to love it when you do a bit more rock traversing than necessary. TFTC
