5yo cacherboy loves trains. He can't get enough of them, so even though we didn't find it, we loved this spot anyway. The clue didn't help us. Later, we met a smaller member of the DigitDick team at "don is good" who revealed this cache's location, but we're certain we looked there. I'm afraid this one's been muggled.
Looked in heaps of spots, used the clue, but no dice
oh well.
As an ex train nerd I enjoyed the browse

Nice short walk, steam engines were being stoked at the station ready for the days activities.
I'm afraid we couldn't find the cache though - GPS took us to the far side of the equipment So with that being of no use, we searched high and low. There are lots of high and low in this area and in the end we just had to give up. Loved the bits and pieces of train debris lying around and I'm sure each and every piece of it has a story to tell.

Fifth of twelve finds for the Devonport day of my assault on Northern Tasmania. What a contrast between this cache and the last cache that I didn't find! An enjoyable walk through some bush, a fascinating area to explore, and a clever and entertaining hide. It's a pity more Northern Tasmania caches aren't like this one. [^]
However, it was not all plain sailing. I had trouble finding the right place to begin from, and like Snuva, I tried a couple of approaches before finding the correct starting point. For other auslanders like me, here are some pointers: park at S 41° 10.850, E 146° 19.165. Take the track through the bush, and turn off at S 41° 10.770, E 146° 19.220. Like others before me, I found that the coordinates were out by a long way. I recorded a new set and have attached them to this log. (I wish more people would do that, instead of just complaining that "the coordinates are out".) I had to decrypt the hint in the end, and it was an easy find after that. Thanks to thatguy007 for the cache.

Attempted this one from a few creative angles before finding the correct route (which shuld have been obvious since we'd parked at the right place for a previous cache!). GPSr had us in a completely different place, however the hint was actually quite helpful!! TNLN - thanks for this cache!!!
Boys really enjoyed this one - even finding cache! we used the heavy hint - 7 satellites, coords out 25m again for us - still putting us on the other side of the tracks and some way down. Forgot our train swap TNSL Lmagnet
Took other readings and averaged them; you might like to check next time you are down there -

No not there was the continual catchcry here. I suspect that it was user error, but there were too many things to look into, under through and over. We will return.
Cool place! TFTC - stuck our heads in the obvious spot, no snakes phew but no cache either. Lots of colourful spray can lids found.
came back in the light of day and had this one in my hands within minutes...The area isnt as spooky by day but its still a great place for a rummage about.
took nuffin left an army man
Thanks ThatGuy

Nice place for a rummage. Souvenirs are too heavy to take! Pay entrance fee in shop and browse! Don't forget to take the 30min. train ride while here! Left camera key ring. Took nothing. Pencil here needs sharpening. Plastic bag looks very tired too.
Sheer whore ambition got in the way of reason so Prunes and I set off to this one in the dark. I have to say getting the cache in the dark was impossible but i rekon this area is absolutely awesome to visit by torchlight. Its surreal walking around the hulking ruins of yesteryear with the sounds of possums and walabys in the bush nearby. We didnt have the hint for this one and the GPS was all but useless putting us all over the place...we were buggered after such a huge day and our dog ate our homework. I think that just about wrapps up all the excuses...now i just need to get back into this awesome spot, before returning to the coast, and try to get the cache
Found it after a bit of scrub bashing on the way in. Took the track coming out on the way to Sawdust.
Left the Yugi-oh card and took the putty ball.

Second try at this one even then took some finding as the GPS readings were erratic. Bit of cringe factor here as we kept hearing train whistles but none came along. TNLN.
Just wondered if this is actually on private property?

Bird_boys called in to our place on the way home, so what else could we do but grab a cache! Hid in the bushes while the choo choo went past, then had an explore and grabbed the prize . . . Nice hide thanks tg

Now this is my sort of graveyard cache!
There's a lot of old equipment rusting away here. It's a real shame, but it's all quite interesting to look at, and wonder how it all worked together. There's also a good variety of historical machinery, some going back many many decades, and some more recent.
Nice hide ThatGuy, a refreshing change from the norm.
TNLN.... sorry, our bad, we left the swaps behind! Doh!

What a place to explore or to hide. Found the cache easily in the obvious spot. I have been here exploring a number of times and each time I come there is more to see and....find.
FTF - What an enjoyable lunchtime cache this was, had a ball poking around the relics....
Took Timone (or is it Pumbah?)
