As there's been no cache to find for months, I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. If you wish to repair/replace the cache sometime in the future, just contact us (by email), and assuming it meets the guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it.
Seems all has changed here. Glad to hear there are new signs up. Will try to update everything soon.
the information boards have been replaced but no longer give the answer to "E" in the units as required. Tried using the number and also calculating to the units required but neither led us to the cache
As greynomads have said the information boards that this multicache relies on have been removed.

This cache can no long be done. It might as well be archived as the clues are no longer there.
The shelter is empty, no information boards, no seating, no tables, nothing.

Pulled into this one today and having been to this cache on quite a few occasions, it appears to be missing - may need to be really checked out. I did a search of the usual location however it was getting too close to closing time to continue.
I thought i had hunted everywhere, uncovering numerous bits of rubbish amongst used syringes and bouncy balls. Didn't find it though.Just wondering if it still exists?
Found this on today, no 5 out of 6 for the day. Last time we called here the gates were shut - the day after protesters were arrested the day before. We quickly did the puzzle, found the cache and took a geocoin.
The cache will need replacing shortly - it's a bit worse for wear and I didn't have a spare with me.

Found at 15:55 by Peter & Marian after a discussion with the Security Patrol (brother in law) he thought he recognized my vehicle a did another circuit to check us out. Last time we were in the area it was closed due to a Security breach nearby. Had to wait until some Muggles had moved away, and had to be quick putting it back as more turned up. TNLN, THTC.
FlyingPigSquadron has landed!
"Holy hole Batman!"
What an incredible scene. TFbringing us here PiggySue.
We have dried out the cache container and thrown away the disintergrating paper items replacing them with two packets of 'fairy stones'.
We have also replaced the damaged outer plastic bag but didn't have a container of the right shape to replace the broken one which is suffering from moisture and insect seepage.
Left Geocoin in inner bag with log - suggest all items are put in here for extra protection

Finally made it in and out before the gates shut. Great view of a very big black hole.
Other half found it before I could work out the co-ordinates.

Another cache demonstrating what caching is all about. What a sensational view of the works around this area. Lots of photos were taken after we hit our 7th cache for the day. We spent much time admiring the equipment and the facilities in the distance. So surreal.
Took nothing, left nothing.
Thanks piggysue for this cache experience today. It was a place well worth visiting for the view.

1730h. Gates still open, even on a Total Fire Ban day. Great views. I believe the hole will only get bigger. Liberated a Geo Jelli, will have a look to see which way it will travel around Aus.
Dropped off GeoJellies Geocoin. Hope the earwigs don't take a fancy to this "jelly bean" as there were literally hundreds in the plastic bag! Cleaned out as best we could - lots of earwig dung and a new bag is required. The container is also getting a little tired.
Found today at 1430.
What a great spot for both the view and also the information.
Very informative.
Well worth the trip.
The cache was full of earwigs so we cleaned it out as best we could.

My son took the little red car from the cache and wanted to keep it so we made him give up one of his other toy cars. Good hiding spot. TFTC.
It was so hot out here today - no wonder we had the place to ourselves! The info was found easily and the cache was located quickly. It was only while carrying the cache bag back to shelter that we noticed that it was absolutely crawling with earwigs! It took us a while to extract all of them from the cache as they had gotten themselves into absolutely everything! TNLN & SL at 12pm. TFTC and a top view!
WOO HOO!!!!!! MY VERY FIRST FIND AND FOUND IN THE COMPANY OF BLATHERSKITE AFTER GETTING PLENTY OF ADVICE AND GUIDANCE.
The container may need some maintainance in the very near future.
Took Singapore keyring and left a red car.

Despite having worked at Loy Yang Power Station for the past six months I had not got around to doing this one. I guess I didn't need to see this view since there is a much better one from the top of the power station. It is an impressive view from the lookout just the same.

Found today at 10:25am with the GEO family in tow.... Been up here numerous times in the past...

Mousie nabbed this one. I did the maths at home and figured it couldn't be too hard to find, which it wasn't. The view today was clearer than last week, so we had a good look.
We found a few bugs in the container, so we tipped them out, signed and headed off.
TNLN, thanks.

Driving past and called in - wow what a view. Thanks for letting me know it was there.
Came and droped off a travel bug that has to get to Oxford in the UK via India and USA.

By the way the lid of the container is cracked and may need replacing.

I vaguely remember being here about 40 years ago and I am sure that that hole wsn't as big then! Got the clues and then the cache without any problems. LNSL and took the geocoin as I am travelling soon and may be able to take it somewhere. Thanks piggysue for the cache.
grabbed all the info ... calced a position ... then waited for the car load of muggles to leave
no worries - saw the coin still in residence - but as I had no idea as to what its goal was - left it there for those who follow.
thanks for the cache

Nearly sprung by a "sneaking up" muggle here. He asked if I was taking photoes so I agreed to that one.
Left an Alien Geocoin which I brought over from Adelaide.

It was a very smoky and hazy day and the GPS was playing up finding sats. Gathered the information and procedded to cache which was quickly retrieved and logged. Thanks.
Thanks for a look at some really interesting facts about this part of Australia's infastructure. Would be a good place for some wind turbines given how blowy it was this day!.

Dear Piggysue,
We found your cache today at 2:55pm as the eleventh of fifteen on our Gippsland Power Play Day. We had no idea of the expanse of the view until we topped the ridge. Just unbelievable. The last finder was the security team from the area who seemed ok with the cache being here as they had left a 20 Euro coin and a log. Thanks for the cache.
Kind Regards,
D,H & A B-A

Didn't have time to look for this one in the morning and drove past to a great pub lunch in Yarram. Came back later in the day to an excellent view of a bloody big hole complete with rainbows. A bit of reading gave us the cache location which was straightforward enough but the clue gave a couple of choices (which are probably both valid at different times). The container lid was difficult to get off and seems to have suffered some cracking in one corner so might present a humidity problem in the future. This would be made worse by the split plastic log bag. Took Masked Man sheriff's badge; Left a Goosebumps disc.
Found it @10:20. I use to work here about 18 years ago. Interesting to see how it has changed.

Did multi clues and treked to look-out.On arrival the look-out steps have been barricaded up at the base and you cant climb,so the counting was done from ground level.Hoping i was right i moved to the final cache location and there it was in full view from 10 metres away.Lucky no one ever comes here anyway ,so logged the book ,TNLN ,re-hid and made sure the cache was properly out of view .Thanks piggysue for the good multi and great view of an impressive area.
I've lived in the area for some time and this was my first visit to this spot. Made short work of the maths and quickly found the cache.
Took nothing, left a good impression.

A nice quite afternoon to process the find in peace. This was Joe Possum's first successful multicache. Took a band aid and left a balloon.
Found this after waiting some time for some muggles to finish their lunch. So close yet so far, we waited what seemed an eternity for people to leave so the cache wasn't "exposed". Replaced pen that wasn't working with a new one
Found at 2.10pm GAFF1. We have been past this area so many times but never ventured down to this viewing area. Thanks piggysue for making us come and visit this spot - we really enjoyed it. tn/ln
Found this after waiting 15-20 mins for some muggles to finish their lunch. Beautiful sunny day and awesome views. Cache was a bit damp. Took smiley face badge, left sticky hands. Thanks!
got it today after messing around with the formula. don't treat it as a maths formula but where each letter is a number and only do the maths where it says to (eg divide a by b)
otherwise a great spot with a fantastic view! and once worked out the cache was easy-ish to find. Still can't get over the view!
cheers!

Cache nineteen of twenty for the day in the company of Dak Emu. The cache was found at 22:00. On arrival at the gates they were locked so we could not drive in so we took the 400m walk and gathered the required information, Dak came up with the cache. We had cracked the hint due to the lateness of the day but we did not find the cache in that position. The cache was replaced to match the hint. The stars looked great from here not to mention all those lights. Thanks.
Twentieth of 21 finds with acts2youthgroup on our "Big Day Out in Walhalla". As it states in the cache description, the gates close at 1700, and they were steadfastly shut when we arrived. We didn't want to leave one cache undone, so we scaled the gates and walked the 410m to WP1. We gathered the information and calculated the final coordinates. We had the cache in hand at 2200. We had wimped out and decrypted the hint, but the cache was not located where the hint indicated. It was partially exposed, but we replaced it where it was supposed to be. I made no exchange at this one. The views were largely invisible at this time of night, but the lights were good to look at anyway. Thanks to piggysue for the cache.
Hi new to caching, believe I found its location but further searching disturbed by muggles. will continue hunt next chance I get.
Really enjoyed this one, found the spot very interesting and even went to search out the second lookout nearby, thanks.
found the cache on the return trip, because too many muggles there first time round, the puzzle was good and after we worked the clues out it was easy to find.
took the highlighter pen and left a smiley badge.

This one took me a couple of attempts and around 40 minutes due to the muggles around. On my first attempt, there was a 4WD parked very close to GZ. So I left and did another cache nearby.
Upon my return, there was another car parked exactly where the 4WD used to be. And they didn't appear to be in a rush to leave. They just sat in the car. I grabbed my lunch and ate it slowly, but they still didn't move. I waited approx. 20 minutes in total, and they still didn't move.
At this point I gave up and decided to leave. However, I did a very slow driveby which I think made them a little uncomfortable and they left immediately. (In reality, they were probably ready to leave anyway). I circled the block and parked where they were, grabbed the cache and logged it. All in all, it was a lot harder than it should have been. This place is quite busy - I didn't mention any of the other muggles that came and left.
No swap was made. Thanks for the cache, and for showing me this panoramic view.

Found by Mary & David at 1300. We felt rejuvenated after Rosedale Bakery lunch, including their 'Fat Bastard Pie' - steak, bacon, cheese, tomato and egg. Mary remembers trips here from Warragul High School many years ago. Doesn't seem to have used up very much coal since then. Had a small problem with the cache coordinates, but the answer was obvious.
