Can't see myself getting back anytime soon so if someone else would like to replace this cache, please go ahead and do so.

13-Mar-09
Please fix it, it was a great spot. Or archive it so someone else can place one there.

19-Nov-08
Unfortunately this cache appears to have been muggled. I'll try to get down there and replace it with similar. Has been a very popular spot for a cache.

17-Nov-08
definitely muggled. Hows about we get this cache disabled for now.
Still had a good walk in and came across a bearded dragon having a staring comp with a blue tongue.

08-Nov-08
I took my son, great walk. I think I found where it should be, there was a rock missing but looked empty.

06-Nov-08
On our holiday to Australia we yomped the Spit Bridge to Manly walkway, a favourite walk that we have done before. This being our first time caching in Australia, included this one. Unfortunately, not reading the logs before we left, we didn'y find, but a great spot to stop and have lunch.

The wall does look as if it has had some maintainence carried out on it so maybe this was the time the cache went missing?

Thank you for bringing us to this area, and yes we did complete the walk to Manly and yes it still remains one of our favourites.

29-Aug-08
This cache _may_ have been pilfered... I went looking for it today, and although I didn't have the hint, I'm pretty sure I was looking in the right place. There were two small stones that had been removed from the wall, and a little pencil sharpener lying on the ground near them. I'll upload a photo to show where I was looking.

Thanks anyway for the cache - it finally motivated me to do the SMW!

29-Aug-08
I think the cache may have been pilfered. Will try again next time I do the SMW track.

I did take a little silver pencil sharpener that was on the ground in front of where I think the cache SHOULD be.

On the other hand, I met this really cool echidna halfway down the Grotto Pt track!

TFTC anyway...

Nice walk on a perfect day. Easy find too! We had only just find the cache hidden at the lighthouse's partner.

Cheers.

15-Mar-08
This continued our lighthouse stop as the previous cache was the other one across the water that lines up things for the heads- or at least I think so. Nice pleasant walk.

A detour on our way home from the Manly Jazz Festival to grab this cache. We parked at the top of the trail and followed the well-defined track all the way down to the cache. A quick find and a great view. We checked out the aboriginal rock carvings near the track on our way back to the car.

23-Sep-07
We weren't really sure about getting to this one, as the first "path" off the main trail we found was quite rough, unkempt & difficult going. That is until we crashed through to the main trail which we would've found if we'd stuck to the marked trail. OK - maybe we'll go back that way...oops.
Anyway - we were glad we came & enjoyed another great little spot on the harbour. We sat on some rocks & nibbled our snacks as we wathed the boats go by in glorious reflected sunshine. Thanks.
Took: Pencil & Ruler
Left: Some fishy friends to enjoy the waterside location.

After dragging Mrs Riptide through the wet bush in the cold we were glad to be able to find this cache as we couldn't find the previous two. We were wondering how they got the material out here to build this lighthouse.
Took TB and PS2 game. Left boomerang & crocodile.

22-Apr-07
[Great view and a nice walk also. Took card left latex. A group of cachers arrived whilst we where going through the cache! Sorry. I was wondering if that might happen, but guessed it would be unlikely as it was only my 2nd cache.I had learnt of geocaching whilst looking at yewenyi's flickr images, but had no idea that i'd meet him on my first day of caching!]

22-Apr-07
Well the people before us found it and we found them going through the cache.

22-Apr-07
Found this just before another bunch of geo cachers arrived, nice walk and beautiful view Smile

Charl, sorry if it came across as rude Sad I'd better explain in more detail next time I meet another cacher Smile

Popped back with c.j.b. to show this glorious cache to Yewenyi, OzPhoenix and Sweet Clive.

We joined the queue to get to the cache, because two other cachers had got there first. I asked one his online nickname. He said, "I like privacy." So I backed off. What a way to kill a conversation! But checking the logs, I can see that really WAS his nickname. Wink

Again, took nothing, left nothing, thank you for the cache.

18-Apr-07
Nice day for a walk and we love lighthouses. TNL-Gwen Frostik stationery. TFTC!

15-Apr-07
An absolutely stunning cache for my 150th find. Thank you so much, Crowmage!

It turned out that this cache was off the track that leads from the Spit Bridge all the way down to Manly. The views were so magnificent, and the bushland so gorgeous that now I'm keen to walk the entire length of the track.

Banksia nectar season was just starting, and we taste tested a few flowers on the way.

The lighthouse was a cute little white building surrounded by a white picket fence, and it resembled a toy lighthouse. c.j.b. found the cache quickly. Took nothing, left nothing, signed the log.

We headed back, with threatening thunderstorms to the south and east of us, and got gently told off by a local for parking illegally, but the conversation then got onto the topic of why the council hadn't bothered to put up a sign saying parking there was illegal, and then finally shifted onto the topic of property prices (like most conversations in that part of the world.)

We should be heading back to do more caches in this area next weekend, after this wonderful experience!

15-Apr-07
I really really don't think that one half of Barrabooka Street would be public and the rest of the same-named street 'a private road' (check the Dept.Lands registry at gsp.maps.nsw.gov.au). But it isn't the first time I've met someone claiming ownership of obviously public land while geocaching.

Left a PS2 game disc and the Findus TB; look the sunglasses..

14-Apr-07
A nice cache following a worthwhile hike.

24-Mar-07
Spent the morning at Clontarf and then stopped off to visit Grotto Point on the way home. Nice walk to a lovely location. There was a Large Lizard gaurding the cache but it soon ran off as we approached. Made a few exchanges and also took the Ship's Wheel TB. TFTC.

Great walk, enjoyed, was worried about muggles around but when we got to GZ all clear Smile. Was with large group so swaps went everywhere so took some left some. Took travel bug "cornish pasty". Went via the walking path to cache and via beach back. Kids loved the return route lots of sea life in rocks. Have pics will upload when I get back to SA.

27-Dec-06
A good excuse to go back along this good harbour side walk.

02-Dec-06
A cold windy day keeps the muggles away, or so one would have thought, but the track that leads to this cache is quite the popular track, even on a cold windy morning.

Dropped off TB whose aim is to have photo taken with koala, so thought I would place it in this cache as it is quite close to the zoo.

Took Nothing
Left Travel Bug

20-Aug-06
Another detour on our walk from Manly to Spit Bridge, but well worth the extra walk. Enjoyed the views and the location. Took Western Plains Zoo patch, Left Alien keyring & compass.
thanks Crowmage

Splendid winter's walk for the squires as we revisited this lighthouse after many, many years. A pity the bushland types seem determined not to make these wonderful places more amenable. Perhaps a seat or two would be welcome for tired trekkers...alas, we're not 21 anymore. Took a skateboard keyring, left an incense holder. Excellent hiding place, Crowman.

05-Jul-06
One of three geocaches that happened to coincide with the walk we'd planned to do. This is the first Australian geocache we've done during our visit from Ottawa, Canada and a good introduction to the joys of geocaching for the people we are staying with. Nice location.

Removed the Team Papyrus's Travle Bug (TBKQHT) to move it to Alice Springs. Otherwise TNLNSL.

21-May-06
Carried kids and made a bet on how long it would take for kids to be carried onthey way back. 1min 2mins and 5 mins. Lasted less than 1min. TNLNSL found with TopoTurtles.

21-May-06
Enjoyed a lovely walk down through the bush, even with the hordes of Sunday speed walkers. We were travelling with 3 kids all under three and as two were walking under there own steam we travelled at a much more enjoyable pace. I don’t know how the power walkers could have even seen the view at the speed they travel at. An easy find thanks to the clue. A great spot and worth the visit. We also found the close by cache Harbour Lights on this expedition. Dropped off the travel bug 'Papyrus'

16-Apr-06
Fantastic location - great views across the harbour. It took me a while to find as there were a few muggles around and it wasn't too obvious (to me anyway). I was pleasantly surprised to see where I live - thanks for getting me out and about, finding great spots close to home.

Cool

25-Mar-06
Decided to tackle this cache and Harbour lights as a pair. Nice walk. Stunning view from near the cache. Set my gear down and placed the GPS on a rock to average for a minute. Looked around and spotted a likely hiding place. Sure enough I had found the cache before the GPS had settled! Lovely spot.

28-Feb-06
Today I did the Manly Scenic Walk, and of course, checked before which caches would be along the way. I came up with 2, and this was the second one. Walking is nice, but with a cache as target, it is much more fun Smile. The cache was easy to find, but due to the spot it will not be harressed soon (hopefully). Thanks for the view and cache, greetings from the Netherlands.

10-Feb-06
A lovely walk, and hidden in an excellent location. Another Beautiful day in Sydney and I'm glad I got a chance to enjoy it. Forgot to bring anything so just enjoyed the view and the location. Thanks for a great cache.

20-Jan-06
My first cache - in one of my favourite places.

Took a Kathmandu keyring and left a Chinese 1 Yuan coin from a recent trip to China.

07-Jan-06
This was our first geocache find! Was very exciting. Have both been locals for our entire lives yet neither of us had any idea that the lighthouse even existed! Is a really nice spot, annoyed that we forgot a camera. Weren't sure what we would find in the cache (what do people bring to swap?) so we were a bit caught out for something to add, eventually decided on a lighter for someone that may have forgotten one and would like to enjoy a cigarette (or something...) in this beautiful location. Took Todd the Hulk after we found out that he is yearning to return to his home soil in the US, (where we are going to be in a couple of weeks) to continue his journey to Ohio. After this exciting find we will be sure to go looking for more geocaches (a little more prepared with goodies next time)!

This is our first geocache in Australia. We completed the entire Spit to Manly Harbour Scenic Walk. This was also the first find for our friend who lives in Manly. What a great way to start our Australian vacation.

Took Australian keyring, left TB Seaworld Squishy after taking its picture in front of Ocean World in Manly.

Fantastic views from GZ. A Water Dragon watched with interest as I found the cache, perhaps the same one that skycaptain photographed. Thanks Crowmage.

03-Oct-05
This my second time at this spot, but last time I did not know about Geocaching. It was a nice walk from Spit Bridge to the cache and back, even though it was very hot on Monday afternoon. Glad I had enough water with me. I include a few photos of the wildlife and flowers along the track. I took the Classic Carols CD and left a balsa wood glider and a Kathmandu karabiner. The Kathmandu karabiner is complements of a non-geocaching friend.

29-Sep-05
Not the place to be on a strong windy day, but fantastic views make it worthwhile. TNLNSL

28-Sep-05
Nice run down the hill and back up again in the afternoon.
I Didn't know the Aboriginal artwork was there either.
Thanks

17-Sep-05
On a bleak and wet morning with icy winds that cut through our t-shirts as if they where not there we made our way to the cache location. After finding a broken spinnaker pole we found what we had come for and returned to where we had come after first checking to see if there where any nudies at the nude beach. But alas the wet and cold conditions must kept them indoors.
Left Sunglasses .

Went in tonight and nailed this virgin cache, a good cache to do at night, saw a bandicoot. Great spot. Took dice left two keyrings. Thanks Crowmage. Regards Philma & Bronte.
