The area around GZ is covered in flood debris I think it would be safe to say this cache is gone.

Brrrrrrrrr. This was a cold, cold place for a crusty old Queenslander. Hauling the caravan into this place from Griffin and past the Mathinna Falls was a bit of a challenge; great to have four wheel drive, but my real challenge was enduring the 'dead cold' when I got out of the Troopie. Frost still on the ground at half past twelve and yet the sun was shining; well sort of anyway! Loved the area though and the walk was clear and easy, right to the cache. We wanted to see these magnificent trees anyway, so the cache was just a bonus. Considered spending the night, but it was so cold, we didn't even stop for lunch. Getting out again in 4 x 4 was still a challenge with a six tonne load. TFTC TN and left a weroamin token.

That was so cool. We would never have gone to this area without the lure of treasure! Quite a way to go but well worth the drive. Beautiful trees. Didn't see glow in the dark geocoin. Took marble, left smurf. Cheers.

Easy find. Lit the fire in the hut to dry our coats off and had some lunch. Lovely spot. We have visited here once before but didn't know about caching then.

Thanks for the find. Was out this way for another event and made sure we arrived early enough for the walk. Great area for a stroll. Dropped Lachlan's TB off for a party in the forest!

Found with DirtyGirl and GURipper when we were in the area to compete in a navigation trial, great spot and a nice walk, and now another place to go camping, how will we fit them all in???

Arrived and had lunch, what a great venue. Set off around the loop walk of the "White Knights", wow they realy are tall! Returned to picnic area and set off to do the falls loop, equally as enchanting a walk.
Thanks aloysius7 for a great day spent with Mother and the Geopups.

Well, I certainly picked the right day for this cache.
When I left home, it was raining. When i arrived at the car park, the sun was shining and the temperature had risen heaps.
What a lovely walk around the loop and those trees!
Found the cache easily. TN L bouncey ball.
Cache in good condition despite being neglected by not being found for over 15 months.
Thanks Mr A!

Stayed at Griffin Camp site last night and came up here early in the morning. The walk is spectacular. We loved this spot. We spent some time wandering the various tracks. Thanks for the cache.

Not very wheelchair friendly at the moment. A tree has fallen over and uprooted a big chunk of the walk way.
But still a beautiful spot. Dad loved the massive trees.

Had a family picnic in the hut. This area gets prettier everytime i visit. My great aunt logged a find in the book, she was very interested in this strange hobby Razz Cache still in perfect condition. All surroundings wet as hell but the chickenfeed container is holding the water off a treat!

Easy catch, the GPS said it would be in a totally other direction, but with the hint it was easy. Thanks for a nice view!

I would never have come up here if it weren't for the cache (well, 2 caches Big Grin) but I'm glad I did. Not just for the Knights, but it look like a top camping spot, and I love those pebbley rivers.
Took nothing, left eraser
Thanks Aloysius

We have my Dad visiting from SA over the Christmas period, he's been here before and has seen a lot of the state, so with not much else to do I thought I'd take him for a country drive. He's in his 70s and I'm not that desperate to inherit a 5 year old Apple iMac and a geriatric Persian Cat, so a cache that boasts that it's "tassies first 'bushwalk' cache that is totally wheelchair friendly. . . " sounded like it would be the go for an easy afternoons outing.

I can understand why this cache survived as a virgin for some 143 days, it is a little out of the way, but it's certainly worth the detour if you are traveling down the Fingal Valley. We found the cache without much trouble, the zero point giving me a few obvious spots to search. I'm afraid I didn't bring my cache pack with me so I didn't have any swaps on me - it was meant to be a country drive with a cache that just happens to be on the way Wink

But, I did leave something - the next finder will find out what!! Especially if they are trying to Catch a Cache Smile

Thanks Team A - another excellent cache.
