Our plan to spend the day finishing the epic multi at White Rock was curtailed by pest spraying and unexpected fences. So we decided to take a drive down Ripley Road instead. We ended up grabbing a few of the GCLogan caches that Kolour missed on muster day and a few others in and around Flagstone and Greenbank.Having found the last in the series earlier in the day with Kolour, I thought I would stop at this one at the end of our loop drive as this was actually the next cache for me in the series. I parked in the spot across the road and went over to have a look. A nice quick find here and it is good to now have the coordinates for the next couple of caches in the series. Hopefully I will finish it off soon. Thanks Crew 153 for the cache and for the series!
DisSister and l did a few caches before heading off to the GCLOGAN activities for the day. Thank you for the fun
In all our travels we would not have even thought to travel to this location. (HaHa). In your dreams, these cachers do. Thanks for an awesome effort. Devilish Brilliant and Clever I like it Another one off the list TTBLNSL TFTC/TFTH/TFBUH - Crea 153
A quick park and grab, aided by seeing a gathering of finders after the nearby CITO. TFTC!
I spent an enjoyable 9 days travelling all around Logan and surrounds searching for caches with friends and family as part of GCLogan activities. As we had a chunk of spare time today, we decided to try to locate as many of this series as we could. Always like searching for older caches, they are getting more and more rare. Thanks for hiding and maintaining Crew 153
As we were over this way, placing cache for the upcoming Logan geo event . We stopped here as this is an older cache .. The existing cache is in great condition .. Signed off on the nice clean log and returned cache to its hide. Tftc
Cache all good. Nice series - enjoying visiting all the old Oxley caches, some really nice little spots hidden away.
Another quick find and all in good condition. Thanks for the cache and series. Cheers
I came to Springfield Lakes today for a few targeted caches. And being so close to more of this series, I headed down to Greenbank.
Good parking in a shady spot, I headed across the road to gz. Being quite a busy road, I only had a cursory look in the obvious cache hide. I checked with the CO and then found the cache tucked away nicely. I needed a tool to retrieve it. All good here. Tftc

My third half day over here this week targeting these old caches. Jeepers I’ve clocked some mileage over these past couple of days. Today it was back to the Oxley series.
This one should have been easy. Everyone’s logs said so.
So when I couldn’t find it I was both frustrated and fairly sure it wasn’t here. So I walked away with a DNF. However after having to get in contact with the CO in regards to other issues a little later, the decision was made for me to pop back past and replace this one with his permission, with clues included for the next caches in the series.
So a short trip back past here (which I virtually had to do anyway), and the replacement was soon in place.
Thanks for the cache Crew 153.

Out for a New Year's day drive and we were too close to this one not to pull in and have a look. This took a lot longer than it should have and a sundress may not have been the best choice for caching but that aside it was eventually spotted and signed between passing cars. Tftc and Happy New Year
Today was out chasing oldies. I have been working on Crew 153 Oxley Series. I have found 7 already. 8 to go.
I Had a late start, first one found just after 1pm last one 4.15pm with hour drive home to cook dinner.
Of course I was looking for caches for challenge cache.
Plus one cache I park within 100 meters.
Thanks Crew 153 for bringing me to this lovely area on the Southside of Brisbane.

Visiting from the Gold Coast to catch up with geo friends hatzofff, RoddyC and grannysmith1947 to continue on with the Oxley series and other caches in the local area.
This was by far the quickest find of the day, virtually a park and grab for us all. Neat hide, thanks CO.

Third find for the day. I was looking forward to seeing how the landscape changes as we follow the creek to its source. We stopped off the side of the road and wandered down to the cache. After a few cars passed and the coast was clear I made the find. Of course I forgot a pen, so returned to the car and then returned the cache to its hiding spot.

Out on the southside picking up a few target caches, in particular the Oxley series and Runner geoart, with lots of others grabbed along the way.
Was hoping this one would be in a pub, but nonetheless it was a quick find and the next coords were duly noted.

It's been exactly two weeks since my last caching adventure and as you could probably guess I'm having withdrawals, so I jumped at the opportunity to join Chamad, Willis007 and TripleTurmoil for an epic LONG day of caching on the southside. Our day started bright and early at Browns Plains, then Greenbank, Flagstone then a short distance away from Flinders Peak to finish off the day. The goal for the day was to complete the Oxley series and grab a bunch of other caches along the way, considering we'd most likely never return it would be silly not to grab them.
In total I managed 30 finds for the day, not a bad effort I must say.
Well, I must say this one was the easiest to find/get to in the series. No crazy bush bashing was required, just a nice simple park and grab. Bliss!

Out with Willis007, Nayfee and Triple Turmoil for another day of cache madness. The plan for today was to finish off the Oxley series of caches and grab a few extras along the way. Some areas we will probably never come to again so it was best to grab those caches as we passed by. With three of us living on the northside carpooling was the best option today. Then we had to grab triple turmoil, so a plan was hatched, a place to meet was organised and off we went. In all we completed the Oxley series; we did grab a few extras and then the highlight of the day an unexpected walk to grab a very fine alphabet cache. As always, a fun day, full of laughs and mischievousness, thank you.
We parked up beside this one and we were amazed it was not a bush bash or a helicopter required cache. Thanks for this one a nice simple park and grab did change things up for us. Information obtained, it was onto the next one. We signed the log and replaced the cache as found, thanks.

Targeting the Oxley series today, along with some nearby caches, our super crew of chamad, Triple Turmoil and NayFee stopped by to collect our second Oxley for the day.
The cache was quickly found at gz, we signed the log and headed off to continue our adventure.
Thanks Crew 153 for the series ... getting towards the end now

About a month ago Willis007, Chamad, Nayfee and myself started the Oxley Series. This could easily be done in a day but we are very easily distracted by caches nearby and some not so nearby. So, today (along with many other distractions) we finished off this series. It was a great feeling to complete it. A while with no finds, so it was great to give this cache some love. Quick and easy to locate and all is good with this cache.
A trip to the deep south today.
My coordinates were about 40m out in an east-westerly direction, must have entered a wrong digit in the cords.
Took a while but the helped in the end,
Thank you for hiding

The cache name alone stirred some repressed memories in me that I have been keeping locked up for a couple of months. I had almost forgotten what is was like to press the frothy head of a beverage in a HeadMaster glass against my lips. Having a beer out of a stubbie is just not the same as one on tap - although the end result is the same.
I was half expecting to pull up in front of a closed pub and I knew that would have started the tears welling. Just the thought of having a beer in hand, losing money on the horses, losing money on the pokies, losing money on the raffles, losing money on keno and losing more money on the pokies would have sent me over the edge. I seem to have more money now though.
Mrs Woodyrothwell was too disappointed that we didn’t find a pub on Pub Lane. It shocked us later in the day heading home when we came across the Pub Lane Tavern. It was unfortunately locked and so I started crying like a baby. tftc

Not sure where you go and complain about caches that deliberately false advertise. Expectations were up when picking up the coords for this one earlier in the day. And the timing was just about right to be at the front door for opening time. But as the GPS counted down the decimal kms, the housing density remained sparse and the main action of the area were road works. Not the first time I've been disappointed nor will it be the last. At least there was a cache at the end of the journey. Thanks again Crew 153 for maintaining this Oxley series.

Sunday. No drinks where we found this cache, but it was a nice quick find which was just as nice. Mind you, I could have stopped for a cold drink as the wind and dry air was pretty fierce today. Que Sera had already found this cache, so she got to sit in the cooler car whilst I went in for the grab.
TB left at this cache.
This was the 15th of 18 caches found on today's trip.
Thanks ***Crew 153***, for showing us this place.

. After finding another close by in this series i was getting thirsty and the thought of a pub was on my mind, but it was not to be but i Didn't even need my compass when I read hint. I moved out of mugggle eyes and got coords to next caches but see they would probably take too long today so this was my last in this series for today. I looked back at this log book and was amazed to see that it is still the same log book from 2005,pretty good i think. i will be back to find more hopefully soon
Was disappointed not to find a Pub at GZ but made a quick find. Then had to backtrack to the last cache as if left my stamp behind. Thanks for the cache
Another beautiful day in Brisbane - and not called into work still so out I head this morning in search of the Oxley Creek. I started my journey along this mighty creek nearly six years ago, today I wanted to find the source. Pub wasn't opened yet, so I went and grabbed the cache instead. Another easy one - lulling me into a sense of security here.
Thanks Crew 153 for entertaining me at this location.

After finding the previous one in the series this morning, we continued our drive in what is really a very beautiful area. There is quite a lot of construction of new housing estateS happening around here, but it is lovely to see such a beautiful rural area as well.
All safe and well with this one, and we collected some more numbers so that we can now continue along this Trail of Oxley caches,

Next up in the Oxley series, I left geopuppy safe in the car whilst I made the grab. Super busy round here!! very cool cache guardian, very befitting of the name. Cheers
After finding the cache before this one in the series we drove to this one. Must of been the day for people tail gating today but they will just have to wait, we got more important stuff to do like caching, wooooo. Well we arrived across the road from GZ and made our way over to where we were lead but of course, we read the hint which gave us a good indication where it was hiding out and sure enough, there it was. Signed and returned as discovered. TFTC a fave for me.
We came back to this cache today as the information collected during the previous visit somehow got lost. All good with this cache and off to the next.
TFTC - For this one I TNLNSL. Here is a pic of a spider nearby. I thought green all around could have something to do with a roundabout - until I saw the GZ.
Take care of the traffic's right. I'm surprised how much traffic is on the roads out this way! Incidentally, I've never been out this way the whole time I've been living in Brisbane. Middle Road is how I came out this way, and we've just never needed or been inclined to come out this way before. Quite interesting visiting areas that are new to you
I'd checked out the cache location via Google Maps Street View (getting all high tech) as I wanted to suss out a likely parking spot near GZ. What I did spot from the street view was the likely cache hiding spot and it turned out once I got to GZ I never even bothered putting the numbers into my GPS. I just walked up (looked around for traffic) and grabbed the cache container Then I walked off a short distance to open it, find and sign the logbook. All is good with this cache
I put the container back as found and then walked to the creek to take a picture to add to this log. A lovely area here. I am enjoying this series the further I get out of town the better for me
Oh, and this time I remembered to grab the next two sets of coordinates! Lucky, because I would have been stuffed if I didn't have lol
Oh, and this makes Unknown geocache number fifty! I think that is some kind of milestone? I think I get a bronze badge for that (well a badge icon at least lol)

After removing the rather large guardian (an awesome looking orb spider) from the entrance way to this one I was able to make a tentative grab for this one. Grabbed a TB to move on before signing my name. TFTC Crew 153
I parked just past GZ and wandered back. I pretended to be on my phone while I waited for traffic to pass. When it was clear, I grabbed the cache. I decided to head back to the car to sign the log. Once I had done that, I wandered back and rehid the cache. This time, there were no muggles passing by in their cars. TFTC
Time for a trip to the 'Pub'. It was getting a little late in the day, but this one was just where I wanted it to be so it became a bit of a Park n Grab. TFTC. It is extraordinary that the same creek reaches this far from the river - and beyond!
Headed to this one next and soon I was near GZ.
Grabbed the cache and signed the log and grabbed the next coordinates.
Enjoying the drive around the area which I have not been before except for geocaching.

Caching today with DiamonJS working through the Oxley Series. OK I get it - Pub Lane - not a real Pub. And that hint - good one! Found at 1.55pm on 3rd July 2015. TFTC.
Interesting that this hide was not we expected it to be but Mrs RoddyC and I made a quick find, so it was a quick sign and off. TFTC.
Thanks for the pub crawl crew, this one was found high and dry after the floods did go over this one, tftc
Out today with Geo wife & Forbiddenground & his Geo son for a trip around the series to finish it off and make it to the final with any luck. This one was a nice quick find and we were on our way to the next with more coords. Tftc
I was a little frightened that the last cacher could not find this one but I gave it a go anyway. It is still here, in good condition, where I imagine it is supposed to be.
I have been in hiatus in completing this series for some time, as I just never seem to get the right opportunity to get out this way with enough time to go hunting. An opportunity finally arose today with a required trip up to Mt Tamborine meaning we would pass by this way en route and it was only a short detour to make our way here. I hadn't planned on finding this but when I drove past the street sign with the relevant name a lightbulb went off and I did a quick u-turn much to my wife's shock. With the situation explained we continued enroute to GZ. The road near GZ was sooooooo much busier than expected so it took a while for the right opportunity to arise to make the grab. Log signed and additional information obtained we were soon on our way again. Glad to be back on the Oxley trail again. Tftc.
I'm really enjoying this series. Travelling up a river through differing landscapes, back and forth, never knowing if you will end up on the right side or meet a dead end and have to backtrack. The maps are forever changing as new development encroach further out from the Brisbane CBD. Thanks Crew 153.
Well I was half way back to the coast by the time we got here !
Love the Jack Russell on the billboard near the cache.
Love the Jack Russell on the billboard near the cache.
Out for the day with Bristracker , picking up some Oxley and assorted puzzles and a few other icon caches. I must say the highlight of this cache was the Jack Russell billboards leading us to the cache. I miss my JRT geohound who is back in New Zealand. Nice to be led to the cache by a similar looking JRT. Oh the cache was good too . TFTC
!!!!!!tftc!!!!!! got this one today and grabbing a special icon for August !!! A very fun ride out here!!! Now waiting for a break in the traffic to replace cache !!! All good with the cache!!! I am amazed at how much the creek ,changes as you move along. Loving this series!!! Thanks for bringing me here!!
Next stop in the Oxley Series and a nice little spot it was as well, if but slightly exposed.
As I pulled into some convenient parking, I put away the GPSr as I could tell where I would make the find. I could see it on approach even. Which was quite a good outcome here, as I retrieved the cache, got the log and put the container back, and wandered over to the other side to take a look at the creek, while I got a photo of the coords, and the log book signed.
I had to hang taking a look for a little as there was a local mowing the nearby property, but I waited till he was right at the other end, and a quick replacement of the log in the cache and onwards I went.

After a desperate PAF the previous night to Swellerfungus on another one from this series, we both decided to soldier on and see how far we could get in this series tonight, starting at 7pm, we managed to get all the way to the end.
This park and grab was an easy one, other than the fact that a passerby decided to stop to make sure that we were ok (how lovely) it was quite late by this stage, so we quickly jumped back into the car to move on.

I received a PAF yesterday from a troubled Egginthesky looking for one of the hides in this series. As always it was a pleasure to help, and it got me thinking that I should go and try for some more of this excellent series myself. So why not ask EITS to join me for a night time run and see how far we can get in this series!
Finally a quick park and grab...what could go wrong? Well of course the kindness of strangers (Stelllllaaaaa!) is what. As we stood signing the log right at GZ a car passes and a wonderful muggle man stops 50 meters up the road and hops out to ask if we are ok! What is it about this society that the more rural you go the nicer the people are? Oh the humanity!
Any how log back in and of for another find...we really want to get to the end now!

cache find # 1367. A nice and easy park and grab. All good with this cache. TFTC.
I was on a night jaunt and this was the second Oxley stop on my list. I have done a lot of caching at night and this was certainly one of the darkest nights I have been out. Usually there is some moonlight, or light pollution, but last night at the Pub was just really dark. The upside is that the stars were pretty special. I always like it when the milky way actually looks milky.
I parked a little past where my gps had GZ and a quick walk and a check in the obvious spot and I had the cache in hand. I did the sign up and clue collecting in the car, took a moment more to enjoy the stars and headed on to Tully.
Thanks Crew!

Continuing the trip in the car with the muggle husband. I persuaded him to 'just one more' - its not far, please?! So we made the journey down to GZ. It was a bit busy along this stretch of the road, so out I hopped and retrieved the cache. Took it back to the cool air con car and signed the log. Next co-ords noted. I will have to wait another day to get the next ones! TFTC
Have now got my own gps so was trying it out for first time nice easy find but must mind the traffic t f t c
Has to be the easiest one of thr series so far. Only about 2K from where we are staying with our son and family while we are over from the UK. TFTC
Found but in round-about ways is a long way from the pub. Luckily the road was not too busy as a few things fell out the end of the container as it crossed the road to the safety of the geotruck.
Another in the Oxley series ticked off . Interesting to cross the Oxley a number of times this afternoon. This one was an easy find. It's busted at the moment, but holding up well. I thought I had a spare container in the car, but it turns out I didn't....
Mrs PJATPAC found the next few and I stayed in the car with sleeping kids.
Cheers crew 153

A quick find but we noticed a fair volume of traffic along this road. Cache container is broken at one end, all contents are OK. TFTC Crew 153
A very quick find but we did have to wait for an amazing amount of passing traffic to make the find and then get the cache back in place. Looks like this area is going to just keep getting busier. Container is in need of replacement but contents are all OK. TFTC Crew 153
So captain terrible thought it would be fun to park the car right on the edge of the hill so I needed to creep along the side of the car holding on to the panels to shuffle across. we found the cache and the captain broke it by trying to get out the ants. he blames the heat and wear and tear but come on plastic doesn't deteriorate thanks for the cache crew153
I find constant amusement at the tavern at the end of this road. With final co-ords for this, I set off from another nearby cache with Net88. Parked on the side of the road, Net whinged as apparently I parked her side too close to the hill.. whatever I say. Headed towards the green and quickly had the cache in sight. I fished it out and was reluctant to open it as a colony of ants has moved in. I did though and started shaking them out of the swaps. I see the baggie had saved the logbook so Net added our names as I cleaned it out. However, the heat of the area has not done the container well and one end of the plastic fell off. With no replacement with me, there was nothing I could do unfortunately. Another nice one in this series, TFTC Crew 153
Number 2 in this series today. A very easy find right where I expected it to be [^] Definitely a park and grab. TFTC, Crew 153

A nice easy one. we parked nearby and walked over. A quick grab etc. then back to the car for the next one.
Thanks for the cache. The cache was dry and in good condition.

This must be one of the easiest ones in the series. No long grass, no mud. Nice for a change
I could not believe the amount of muggles about when Lokipagan and I went for this one. There was "Upstart-looking woman sitting in Mercedes 4WD yapping away on phone" and then there was "Lost asian fellow reading a UBD" who had pulled up behind us. *SIGH*. With the coast somewhat finally clear, Loki made the dash for GZ while I gave her some cover. We signed the log and collected the co-ords. The cache is in good condition. TFTC Crew 153
A car was pulled up on the other side of the road to where we pulled over while the driver had a phone conversation. We thought we would just wait it out but it ended up taking a long time for her to finish the call and move on. Then it was a quick grab. Thanks Crew 153
Quick find with Stairman1. Not sure where the pub was. We couldn't find it . Grabbed the clues and off to the next one. TFTC
Pub what pub? Another great spot. Would make a nice place for a pub though.

Spotted GZ before I exited the car. Nice quick find and pretty view of Oxley Creek.
