Logs
Having seen recent maintenance log, popped in and retrieved cool Das for the next caches in the series. Thanks for the maintenance Crew153
Our last find for the day. Shazzar66 and I had planned to meet up with AtTheLakeHouse for the event that was held here for Goldielovers 60th Birthday celebration and the paddle up Oxley Creek. I left my car at the Kendall St Boat Ramp, to be the return-vehicle after the paddle. We paddled from this boat ramp to Kendall St which took about 3 1/4 hours, finding several newly placed caches on the way, including a Fabled Oldie which is unfortunately being archived, I believe. On returning back to Simpson Playground reserve, this was our final mission. The cache was found quickly and easily. I hope some well-meaning person doesnt mistake it for rubbish during a clean-up, although considering its published date, it has certainly lasted a lot longer than many other caches. Thanks for placing it here for our enjoyment, Crew 153.
Replaced the container and ensured there were coordinates for the next 2 caches in it.
Out for a bit of night caching with TheKiltedKacher. Log was damp, but managed to sign it. TFTC!
Im impressed to whoever did that. Thats really fun to find whatever in that box.
Catching up on logs - Decided to start this series as we had to come down to Brisbane. Found this one and then the next one on a hunch. Coordinates no longer in the cache. Could not find the third cache despite an extensive search. Thanks for your work in maintaining this cache over almost 20 years. Always great to find an old cache.
I'm a linehaul trucker. My wife, Geomum007, I had just delivered a load of farm fresh produce from up north to the Markets. We had our dinner and thought before bed we'd have a bit of a wander around the area and maybe nab some caches. We have become quite fond of night time caching as there's very few muggles around. The cache was quite exposed so we covered with some leaf litter after signing a very damp log. TFTC
Found It!A quick find here while in the area. Couldn't see any coordinates for the next cache on the logbook, not sure if there should be or not?TFTC
Nice quick find. Unfortunately no coordinates for next in the series. Container is starting to become brittle. Thanks for the cache and ongoing maintenance.
This is the first of this trail, however I could not find the co-ords of the next two. Love getting the oldies when I am caching. All good with the container and log. Thanks for putting this one out to be found.
*** draft log for stats tracking, more later ***GCQ6E7 Oxley - PamphlettTraditional Regular29 Jun 2024T09:47:36 AESTTFTC Crew 153Quick scramble & find. Couldnt see coords for the next caches, but CO helpfully provided them.
Found today with karen rinora, who had tracked it down whilst I parked the car. TFTC!
Avenging a dnf from a previous trip to Oz, back in 2017. Arrived at GZ, then decided to read the hint, and then made the ascent. Nice to add a smiley for this onefav point for sure!
01/04/2024 - 12:10Ignore the photos from old logs and read the hint. I presume it was moved after historical floods.Quick and easy find unless youre trying to be too clever about it. marcussjd9#223TFTC
We are heading to Radelaide for the mega but because we were awake early we decided to head off and get some caching in before we leave. I saw that this one had been replaced since I was last in the area so we came here so I could grab it. Nice quick find.Tftc Crew 153Find #5368
Kool. Nice warm day in Brisvegas. Glad we found this, not much luck with some others
Found it straight away as soon as I was walking to it. This was a nice and easy cache that I could happily do and recommend to geocachers. Doing it with my brother and grandma definitely helped with making it a lovely experience. It is a lovely walk, so we decided to walk further along Oxley creek. I also placed a Donald Duck toy in it. This was simply a lovely cache and I highly recommend it for the views and the experience. Thank you for the cache!
We are now heading north to avoid the coldest of the winter weather in Victoria. Loving our time around Brisbane and around the area.
Out for a wander and did the mountain goat trick, to get to this one. Grab what was need for the next couple of hides
Thanks Crew 153 for placing this cache and doing the maintenance, so we can enjoy finding it.

Thanks for placing this cache. I drive past the park regularly but have never stopped to look at all the facilities. Love the outdoor table tennis table.
Phew second time lucky. On the way home with Rafa we are coming back to do some fishing!
Went back in the daytime and found it! (with some help of the crew. Thank you!). Cache is black, so day is preferable.
First cache attempt, so not too surprised that I missed it. Probably should have come during daylight...
Nice hint, we enjoyed learning about some of the history of this area today
Good size cache left some swappables . These are my favourite kind to find . Thank you
Today, an early start was had to hike Mount Bangalora. Despite the heat and humidity, it was an enjoyable hike that was absent of any stinging/prickly plants, and highlights included summit scenic views, overhanging caves, and the slabby creek/gorge.
After returning to Brisbane, I decided to use the remainder of the afternoon visiting the areas of Rocklea, Salisbury, Tennyson, and Chelmer. It was good to utilise the vehicle's air conditioning after the morning's hike, and two Adventure Labs were completed: [Memories of Rocklea](https://labs.geocaching.com/goto/435cfe09-1f52-401a-b793-96e852dc02c7) and [Salisbury War Industries Heritage Trail](https://labs.geocaching.com/goto/467ec6b2-7e47-480c-bc03-5f7676313a98). Highlights included the Pat Rafter Arena area and walkways along the Brisbane River.
I had planned to park my car opposite to this cache, but there was a football (or other sport) game occurring, and I would have been charged $10 for parking, so I decided to park a little further away. The coordinates of this cache suggested one side of the path, but the hint appeared to say the opposite, so I followed the hint upwards, and soon made a quick find of the cache. The cache container and logbook were in good shape, and looking at one of the recent logbook pages, it seems that someone was quite overzealous with their signature. This was my first *Oxley* cache of the series, so quite a milestone day that I am sure I will remember, and consequently I grabbed the next two *Oxley* puzzle coordinates to continue my journey. Thanks Crew 153 for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance. It was nice to have found this oldie 09/2005 hidden cache, of which is one of Queensland's 500 oldest yet active geocaches.

Easy find. We thought it might have been lost by the flood, but still there!!. Lots of toys! Thanks
Quick little scamper after a coffee stop. We also had fun looking up the real estate listings for the mansions near by. Thanks!!
I finally got around to replacing the cache. Sorry to anyone who were waiting to start the series. The cache is in a less flood prone position.
Coordinates changed from:
S 27° 31.485 E 152° 59.704
Coordinates changed to:
S 27° 31.483 E 152° 59.703
Distance from original: 13.2 feet or 4.0 meters.
Moved it to new location a bit higher above "small" flood height.

Couldn't find it sadly. I might have been looking in the wrong place, but a previous post says the cache was missing, so it's possible it hasn't been replaced.
Have previously found this cache, but at that time wasn't doing the canoe series. Today we were out and about in the canoe looking for co-ords to get down the river. However, after a call to CO it is confirmed that the cache is missing. CO gave us co-ords to the next one!!
Not sure why people couldn't find it. It was sitting in plain sight. I put it back under cover.
