As there's been no cache to find for months, I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. If you wish to repair/replace the cache sometime in the future, just contact us, and assuming it meets the guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it.
Took a long time hunting it down after searching the wrong side of falls. On finding the cache, discovered it scattered all over the hillside. Took 10 minutes to find all (I hope) the trinkets and repack container. Container found and placed in position S16 55.812 E145 43.259. The Cairns Team may wish to check and reposition.

Eventually found it after searching up the wrong side, due to initial GPS readings. TNLN.
Note ! The lid has several small holes chewed in it presumably by rats. They may let moisture in when it rains.

This is our first find, the first of many I hope.
We often walk this road and felt it only fitting that we made it our first hunt.
We took an eyeball and left a Spiderman merit stamp

Had no luck finding this due in part to the green ants and a slight fear of poking around to much in the fallen leaves etc when not properly attired for such .
Fell into holes, got eaten alive by green ants but failed to locate the the cache.
Thank you anyway for attracting us to this spectacular area.

Parked the car, walked and found it within about 3 minutes. A nice easy one. Having only done Morris Copperlode a few weeks ago, it is good to see a new cache up here. Complements the great views.
It looks like someone or something has been trying to eat the container. Can't think why.
Cache number 4 in the last 24 hours which makes me wonder what I'm going to do tomorrow. MORE CACHES I suppose!!
Thanks Cairns Team, TNLN

Returned to find this cache. At the face of the falls GeoBrett went one way and did his usual thorough search then I had to go the other way as he had no luck in finding it. After about half hour of fruitless searching thinking that the Cairns Team must be mad for sticking it anywhere where I was. I decided to look where the Brat had looked and found the container easily.
So we had a little talk about his type of searching and a Daddy search. Its pretty much the same when he looks in the pantry or the fridge.
Was a good spot to get a view of Cairns and I am glad we are in the dry season.
Took keyring left Toy
Thanks for a great spot

Found it right on sunset with a brilliant view over Cairns to follow.
I didn't realised until i was getting quite close to this location, that i had been here 3 or 4 times over the years. One visit included a spectacular view over the city after Cyclone Justin in 1997 wrecked havoc to the marina and our dive trip was cancelled. We decided to head up the hill due to all roads were closed for several days and we had just received a hire car which we could not use . I remember walking about 200m along this road moving some largish branches from the road to see if we could get through. We made it the cache location and decided to turn around after exploring the massive waterfall (at the time) which was flowing straight across the road.
Cache found after deciding to take the wrong side of the creek to the cache due to poor GPS coverage at the time (half the satellites were not visible). I came across what seemed like a good location for a cache and saw a yellow container.....great. It turned out to be a syringe container together with several needles next to this. After securing the area, i found the cache on the other side in good condition.
Nice cache, thanks TCT. TNLNSL. Well worth the drive for the views.

How frustrating is it to be able to see the road, and not be able to find out how to get there! Just about to give up when we found the access road, and headed up to catch the sunset. Zena scrambled off to sniff out the cache, and quickly came back with a very full box, that wasn't hidden at all. (strange) Plenty of muggles around appreciating the great view, so hid the cache away quickly, after removing the TB for a trip south to Vic. Great location
The road was closed for three days for re-surfacing. They won't let anyone through the gate even if walking. Closed 5,6,7th Sept. We'll have to do this one on another visit north.
Our first hunt and our first find. Relatively easy, though we did have quite a bit of help from Treetrunks - couldn't have done it without them in fact.
not as hard as i thought it would be, left tb, took a heap of water from falls anmd added colloidal silver, noticed the container was full and lid not staying on properly...
Found it walking from my house. Lots of goodies. Left a small helicopter and will take the kids back to choose something to take out.
{went back today and found it. it seemed to be a little exposed where it was sitting}, so i tucked it back into the grass a little.

Found by Darren Osmond with GDOELucky also. Cache could be a little tricky without a GPS or some extra clues. Took nothing, left nothing (TNLN).
Good spot, a little hidden, up the left of the falls. A short, very easy climb. Would like to return for the beachball.
looked all over the place for it. 3 times up and down.
at one point i was on the road and my GPS said i walked over it so we looked under the culverts.
We will return soon with the whole team.

Argh, no luck here today - although, this might have been the most fun we've ever had NOT finding the cache. Absolutely lovely spot, but no GPSr coverage for us once we left the road. So we did the next best thing: we climbed the obvious route, and searched all over. No luck by the lower falls, no luck in the middle section, and no luck by the upper falls - we even climbed all the way back down, thought about it, and climbed all the way back up...and still didn't find it. Got a few nice bites from the ants, and a few good pictures of the falls, but no cache today! Can't get 'em all I guess, but this one bummed me out. TFTC!
Found ok after some GPS problems. Nice selection of goodies to choose from. Left a frog and a rubber ball took cards and Falling Waters TB
