Went for a stroll and picked up OzGuff's angel drop from the wrong coordinates. What a difference 0.100 east makes.Moved his log to the cache container last found in 2020 with the orginal logbook from 2005.Yes a curious cache is still there and waiting to be found.
Out for a long hike around Clelland, Im trying to find a few geocaches along the way. After confirming that I had the correct coordinates, the owner said that I if I could not find the container, I was welcome to replace it. As it hadnt been found in four years. So I brought a container with me.I got to my calculated coordinates and I searched for at least half an hour. I went out 20 meters in all directions. And not only didnt find the container, but couldnt even find, the physical geology that I had been provided. So I dropped a new container, its a 25 ounce or 739 mL square container with a blue lid. The only thing thats inside is a typical OzGuff log and a pencil. If anyone ever comes up here to try to find this one, could they bring a permanent marker to at least put the GCID number and the name on the outside of the container? Thanks.Ive loaded three photos of the container, which is at the base of a very low tree and covered by rocks. I think its about 10 meters from my calculated coordinates.
Went for a walk in Cleland after work today armed with a set of coords. However couldnt locate a cache today - searched around GZ and climbed the hill to a rock face but couldnt see a cache. Saw a SPOR away from the rock face - I wonder if the cache was there??
A splendid late afternoon walk along the SAPN spur provided the perfect entre to GZ. Beautiful colours. Even more beautiful company. TFTC Freddo.
A beautiful area up here. Cache found easily in the obvious spot.
Thanks for the cache Freddo.

Find #11081.
This morning FeatherWaite and I decided to go for a walk and find a few caches around Cleland. The early morning rain didn’t look too promising, but it seemed to be clearing.
This previously solved puzzle cache was on my radar. After a short walk down the track it was then just a short bush bash to GZ.
The cache was quickly located and the container and contents are in good order.
Thanks The Chocolate Amphibian for the puzzle and the cache.

In my quest to get onto the Freddo finder leaderboard I added this cache to my find list for today. I wish I had been more organised and also done a couple of the CO's other caches as I think I would probably have had time if I hadn't faffed about so much during the morning. They will still hopefully be there for another day.
The CO had asked me to replace the container at this one and as part of a reciprocal agreement I was only too happy to oblige, my gift from the St Arnaud mega seemed like the perfect replacement.
Really enjoyed my walk to the cache site, found the broken cache, read through the log book (and about a snake sighting in the rocks I was sitting on which made me slightly nervous), replaced the contents of the old cache in the new cache, admired the view and then made the return walk back to where I had parked the car. CITOd the old cache.
The puzzle had been easily solved quite a while ago, glad to now have this one ticked off the list.
TFTC Freddo this was a good one and of course nice to get a golden oldie hidden by the Chocolate Amphibian before he became the Damned one.

This was a nice and easy puzzle, great to find old caches, the bike up the hill wasn’t as bad as I remember. The cache is in need of a fix up.
Tonight I headed out with Davidwazza for a short walk around cleland, the wind at a steady pace and the rain slowly coming in it made for a nice night out.
Thanks for the cache

This evening, I had planned on heading with [@gridge98](http://coord.info/PRGKDMY) to walk around Cleland Conservation Park collecting a few shared unfound caches of ours, starting from just above Eagle on the Hill. However, I managed to add some extra walking before meeting, which was spurred from his newly published Cleland multi-cache. Subsequently, it was an early dash out from work, and following that FTF, a few geocaches in that area, before hiking the ascent back up the Attunga Track. I then met up with another Geocacher to assist in repairing/reinstating one of his geocaches, but some in-field repairs didn't go to plan, so a return is now required. Some pocket monsters were then collected, before [@gridge98](http://coord.info/PRGKDMY) and I then met up to walk around for a few hours before nightfall came. It was good to tick off a few old caches, and a cache with some unfound love. A bit windy out and about, but thankfully the rain held off for us this evening.
This was one of the first puzzles that I had completed in Adelaide in my puzzle-solving geocaching career, however given the distance proximity from the posted coordinates, I had kept forgetting about it, and even found one of the CO's traditional caches nearby a year before. So it was a little frustrating to have to walk past that traditional once again, and make our way up to this GZ. It was turning dark, but would be one of our last ones for tonight. [@gridge98](http://coord.info/PRGKDMY) and I discussed various topics, with our mind not directly on the efforts of our ascent. Once we were at GZ, it took five minutes of searching before I found the prize. The lid was cracked and damaged, likely from its age, but was good to see past Geocachers trying to protect the contents and logbook by strategic flat rocks over it as a roof. Tonight, the inside and contents looked ok for us. Once our names were inserted, we reassembled the cache and put it back in position, and just to the bottom via a log cross just as it started getting dark. Thanks [@Freddo](http://coord.info/PR8C14) for maintaining this one - a nice 08/2005 oldie too! Cheers.

This is truly one of those “I’ve solved it but I’ll get it later.”
By my estimate it is now over 5 years later. A few visitors have come here since then. Someone even visited this year in Feb.
But today later finally arrived.
This is one of those older caches before petty rules were introduced like “the final coordinates must be in the same solar system as the posted coordinates”.
This one is fine. Close enough that I can see my house from here or is that yours? Is that a spoiler? Oops.
And I did earn both the terrain stars to get here. And I am sure I will earn them again to get out. And both the difficulty stars as well trying to find it with a hunting GPSr. Which was strange as I was so much closer than usual to the satellites. Oops another spoiler?
The container lid has failed due to the ravages of time and weather but the plastic bag holding the log is water-tight. Rescued a TB.
A beautiful day. Love it

One of my New Year's Geocaching Resolutions was to try and fill in as many of the 83 days on my Caching Calendar where I haven't found a mystery cache. Today was another one of those days so I set out in search of a mystery cache. [^]
This was that cache and it had taunted me on several other forays into the area without me attempting to actually get it. Once whilst walking the Yurrebilla Trail with Anymules we had stopped at Chinaman's Hut and made our way half way up the hill for another cache but as we couldn't actually find the track that leads here we gave this a miss. Then whilst doing the earth cache at Castle rock I urged the family to allow me to continue up and grab this but again I was thwarted. So having coming half way up the hill twice and seeing it was only two stars I thought there must be a less strenuous way to get here from the top. Today I put that theory to the test. [^] I decided I would take the clockwise loop from my parking point.[8)]
Wrong, wrong wrong. Only a few hundred metres in and I found myself descending quite steeply and heading further away from where I wanted to be. Then the trail turned abruptly up hill. Or should I say mountain. [B)] So steep that it was covered in besser block patchwork to allow the 4WD's to get up it. Finally to the top I was exhausted and still further away than when I parked the car. [xx(] Note to self - do not go back that way.
At least from there I was only a click from my destination...as the crow flies. Unfortunately I was not a crow and so I had to follow the fire track which snaked it's way to the cache and was probably 50 % longer. Finally arriving at GZ I had some wonderful views over Adelaide and after short search had the cache in hand. As previously said the cache has seen better days and had I read that earlier I could have brought a new one with me! So I left a TB to encourage someone to come back soon and do so. Needless to say I did not return to the car the same way but continued my loop and found that way was much much less taxing on the lungs and legs. [B)]
**Thanks Freddo for this cache. **

My first attempt at this puzzle had me about 400 meters away, typing error. Round 2 got the co ords right. There they sat for about the length of time since this one was found last. Nice views and where i had a late lunch but not to most convenient to get to. I did take the hard way in and the easier way out.
Found after parking on Mount Barker road and having a stroll around Cleland Conservation Park. Surprised at how many muggles were doing the same thing on a weekday.
Was in the neighbourhood, thought I'd find your cache. Lid is badly broken and will no longer stop water from entering
Thanks for the cache Freddo

This cache is an oldie and needs some loving (a few more visits ). Nov 2015 to now (April 2017) is a long time between drinks [:o] Solved this one about 2 weeks ago but wasn't 100% sure on the seconds of the Sth co-ords. The CO gave me a nudge in the right direction at a recent event Off I went this morning, Monday, 17 April, 2017. Rode to the Waterfall Gully base camp then hiked my way up to GZ. Seemed all of it was "up" [B)] Destroyed some Calories I tells ya [^]. The view that awaited me here was amazing. Took Pics Read through the older logs and was smiling all the time Placed my 'bwt' sticker beneath the last log and dropped off a couple of 'bwt' craft pegs. SL at 09:50, TN. The cache container is showing signs of wear and tear with a cracked lid but is holding up ok still. The log within is dry inside the bag. Re-Hid well so it remains out of the weather [^] TFTC and for bringing me here, Freddo
I'm glad I didn't set out for this one prior to checking coords with the CO, as it turned out I 'eight' far 'two' much minestrone.
With a couple of eights now regurgitated and turned into their proper digits, Geo Jnr #1 and I set out for a morning hike. Very nice walk around the perimeter fence, spotting plenty of wallabies, kangaroos and emus (aggressive things aren't they! Or maybe just hungry?).
A rocky outcrop would surely be GZ and great views finished off the find. I was feeling the 'captivity' themed atmosphere, so dropped in a wind-up Panda.
Cache container is cracked, but overall holding up fine. I placed the cache back with a little more rocky protection, to ensure water doesn't flow in when it rains.
Now off to find some 'Stairs' around the corner.

I mulled over this curious cache for a long time before a solution presented itself to me. Curiously the solution came while walking through a learning institution.
As we were stepping of the track a call came from behind "What are you doing?" We all though we were about to get told off for leaving the track. Turns out ta couple of walkers were geographically embarrassed and needed our help, they thought us turning off the track was curious.
Thanks for the cache The Chocolate Amphibian.

Great location.. long walk... great fun !

Out with Laighside legends picking up some caches in the area, nice to finally knock another puzzle in the city of the list nice GZ location TFTC
Found It! At long last!
When I started uni 2 and a half years ago this was the closest unfound cache. It has been ever since. About a year or so into my degree I finally worked out where GZ was. And it was a long way away up a big hill.
Today we were finally somewhere nearby so we made a diversion to find this one!

Curious, we had this one solved since before our last visit to Adelaide when we were unable to find our way to this one due to lack of knowledge of the area. This trip to Adelaide I decided we had found the way when we had gone for a walk looking for a waypoint for another cache and the final for this one showed up on the GPS, as being close by, curious We did not have time to hunt so came back today with a few other caches loaded to do in this area.
Now our tale of fun. Curious, we started our walk and we found the hard way to the cache, very steep and the easy way out, very steep and then a very long steep walk back to the car. Thanks for the exercise Freddo. Pleased that this one is done. SL TFTC

A curious cache indeed. Mr Tardis solved this so long ago he doesn't remember solving it. Probably two years ago it was done, as only 5 kms from home, and it's taken this long to retrieve. Clearly I need to get out more.
I did my homework and started at the top Clealand car park and worked my way down on a very pleasant morning walk, very easy going terrain, except for the last 20 meters.
Arrived at GZ. ROCKS! I thought Freddo hated rocks? Fortunately the cache was quickly found in a logical hiding place. Signed the log and rehid the cache. Did I mention ROCKS!?
Found "the stairs" trail (or should that be goat track?) and headed down towards the Adelaide - Mt Lofty superhighway.
Thanks for the cache Freddo the Chocolate Amphibian.

Triumverate caching party. Solved last year. Long hike in from car park. Up steep hill. Passed zoo. Down track.
*Cache or Check* was there. Tiger Muffin was there. Malco! was there.
Lots of rocks. Lots of rocks. Lots of rocks. Lots of rocks. Lots of rocks. Lots of rocks.

An impromptu 'stroll' into Cleland with CoC and Malco. A curious cache indeed!! It was just as well I had company today as I had mis-entered the adjusted co-ordinates and would have been almost exactly 100m from GZ. Thankfully my caching colleagues were on the right path. Curious indeed!! The path to home was arduous and steep.................excellent!! TFTC Freddo.
Curious: On the spur of the moment three geocachers decided that they would go for a short hike in the hills. They were all bachelors now, as all three wifes are now geocaching widows.
Curious: GZ is along way away from the posted coords
Curious: 2 star terrain? What the?
Curious: 100 hiding spots and only one cache
Curious: I looked there initially but got poked in the eye by a branch...

Solved this a very long time ago and finally made the trek here after climbing up from another cache in the area [8].
Found quite easily - curious after reading the last couple of logs (must have been the direction of approach) !
Took knotted cord. Left doll. SL.

Curiously enough, the original plan for this was to attack from the bottom and snare the cache on the way up. One look at that hill changed everything. Found after a few minutes searching, luck of the draw. You could search for ages up there. TFTC Freddo.
Another long lost solved puzzle finally ticked off as found. Like the penguins before us, we suffered badly from cache blindness on this one. Looked every where. At one stage, Mrs TiedyeSmileys (with her wing still in sling from her mishap a few weeks ago on another Freddo puzzle) was standing on a boulder looking around. Mr TiedyeSmileys thought the cache may have been behind a rock under the boulder so pulled it out. This rock was stopping the boulder rolling down the hill and it started moving with Mrs TiedyeSmileys yelping on top. Luckily it was stopped by another rock and didn't go too far.
Read up on other logs which said it was at the most obvious spot so both of looked there (on multiple occasions) with no luck. Finally, Mr TiedyeSmileys was at the right angle and spotted it. Phew.

A beautiful day to wander off and find one of the closest unfound caches to home (although not nearly that close ).
Enjoyed the walk to GZ but then groaned. If I'd taken a peak, I wouldn't have been surprised if in true Freddo style the hint had been 'rock'. Or maybe something equally unhelpful .
In the end, after some caching blindness, we found it in the obvious spot. Then we sat back and enjoyed the view [^].
Thanks Mr Frog.

I once attended Adelaide uni for a couple of years
Thus I was curious as to where the story of our three intrepid geocachers led
Today on a cacheology field trip I found out [:o]
A place of deep gorges and steep crags inhabited by dragons
Chinese dragons, of course [^]
GZ was abuzz with excitement when I arrived and I quickly found the cache using my Adelaide University brand X-ray glasses to see through the thin veneer of rocks and reveal the cache's hiding spot

What a clever little puzzle. Could see possible solution but how to put it together? Hint from genius daughter and there it was. TFTC
Such a simple yet beautifully constructed puzzle, and such a beautiful day to go and find it. It is now 9 months almost to the day since I got my degrees, and it was a beautiful day then too.
Had our eye on this cache for a week or 2 as we wanted the Bat key. Had some trouble sorting the clues so thanks the Team Unicycle for providing a hint or 2 and coord verrification. Thanks for the challenge Freddo.
Found at 15:20. A nice walk up past DHMO, doing the rounds of some long overdue cache finds up these hills. The wet trees were playing havic with my GPS, and eventually ignired it and looked in the obvious spot.
Decided the Bat Key can stay
Solved this puzzle so long ago I didn't even realise it was a puzzle until I came to log it at home. Thanks Freddo.

A most curious puzzle indeed. I solved it some time ago, but hadn't got around to collecting it yet. Decided that today was a good day to cache .
Enjoyed the walk to GZ, and the great views from the area. Took me a while to find the container though - that kind of terrain offers too many hiding spots, and Nibs had done an excellent job of covering it up after his visit. No more accidental finds by bush photographers .
Took: dinosaur
Left: koala
Left the batkey for the next visitor...
Thanks Freddo!

This one hasn't been visited for a long time. The last entry in the log was from a bloke called Dan on 05 Oct 07. Seems he found it by accident while out photographing bush orchids (why HERE, is anyones guess? He must have passed acres of the things before he got to this spot?!)
Annnnnyway .... he was attracted (ie, it got his attention ) by a snake he found curled up a metre from the cache and that was how he found it.
So, as an attempt to get another visitor I have placed the BatKey in here

Great day for a walk. Very peaceful area. Woke up a koala who gurgled for a while.
Took watch, left a necklace.
Thanks for the great views!

The hardest part of this cache was getting the container out of it's hidey hole [B)] Actually have had the coords for this cache for a long time, but one number was wrong. We visited the wrong location some time ago and deemed it an awsome place to hide a cache. Decided to run through this again a few weeks ago and saw the error of my ways. Decided to take the easy way there, especially after surveying the area from across the valley. Saw our second grunting koala for the day. Took Banana in Pyjamas, left a small 8 ball. Thanks for a great cache Freddo.
Rated: for Overall Experience
Did the calculations easily enough, but getting there was harder. Curiously, another cache nearby got me started in the right direction. In the end it was well hidden, but still in the obvious spot. A very curious cache indeed!
Thanks chocolate amphibian!

I managed to find the short way there and back! Was still a bit of a trek though....
Worked the clues out ages ago, and decided to grab this today, while on the mountain!
Left a fridge magnet, TNSL
Thanks Freddo

Worked out the coordinates a long time ago (thanks Freddo!) and finally today was the day to knock this one off. Used the second easiest way in (we found an even easier way out again!). Beautiful location and an easy find. Took an Egyptian, left a wiggly bendy frog. How appropriate.
Another curious puzzle solved! Visited the Chinaman, "take the long road there, and the short one back" he declared. Took Jumbo TB, left a red matchbox car. Thanks for a clever cache!
Second cache for the evening and a nice walk in the rain. Went to leave a couple of TB's but then mentioned one wanted to get to Canada and my hiking friend mentioned she was heading to the USA next month so TB was checked through. The paint hasn't bonded to the cache container...
There's not too many caches where we can say we saw Cape Baron Geese, Yellow Footed Rock Wallabies, Euros, Red Kangaroos, Grey Kangaroos, Emus, Kookaburras, an Echidna and a Bearded Dragon during our travels to and from the cache. Mr Wibble even got to pat the Echidna (I don't think it liked that). I wonder if it was an "escapee"? Decided after torturing the echidna to leave the bearded dragon alone.
Magnificent views both from the cache and along the route. We thoroughly enjoyed this one, thanks Freddo.
TNLNSL.

It was all Chinese to me, but after braving the other Chinaman a few days ago, it all made sense. I’m glad I figured out where to park for this. No dollar charge .
Left some electrical tape and key rings in exchange for the hex wrenches. Thanx to the Chocolate Amphibian.
Clear skies from Mr Astro.
Found by Mary & David at 1540. Took longer than expected, as the shortcut from where we parked was closed for repairs, and the Chinaman was keeping his route secret, so had to travel the long way round. Eventually reached GZ and soon found the cache and enjoyed the views. TNLN, then found a quicker way back. Many thanks to The Chocolate Amphibian.
This one would have just been dumped in the “WTF†basket if not for ParrotHead’s advice on what the hell it was all about. This would have been a great pity, as it turned out to be an excellent cache both in terms of the physical effort to get there and the final location. But I really understand the frustration of Dak’s Emu Mob. Annnyway - Just as we arrived at GZ, a hailstorm dropped on us, but it was over as soon as it started, and we found the cache soon afterwards. A minutes blessing of sunshine revealed the views before the clouds came in again. Left an Allen-key set and took a Geo-chip from Denver CO. Thanks to ParrotHead (and I guess, Freddo ) for bringing us here.
When I read the cache description, I could make neither heads nor tails of it. I was hoping that a visit to the advertised coordinates might provide some inspiration. It didn't. I also don't understand the references to the Oriental gentleman or his abode. Perhaps this one is not for an []iauslander. I'll have to eat a couple of crows and see if that gives me inspiration. It was not the last time tonight that the chocolate amphibian was to be my nemesis!
We're back, we just had to came back and find this cache. Altogether including Julius we WALKED 6 kms. And I'm telling no fibs we did walk it. But on the way back to the car I found that I could have driven down here. It was a very nice walk with miniskip, lala and lambchops in tow.
Took Gumby and left eraser.
Thanks Freddo for bringing me here again.

We started from the bottom and went to visit the Chinaman. He was neither houseproud or helpful. Continued on our way - up and up. Got to where we had driven to the day before and decided it was time to have some afternoon tea. After having something to eat we were recharged and found the right track to the cache. Great spot and we sat on the rocks and enjoyed the view. Decided to take the short cut back to the car even though the track was not being maintained. Took bear and left bear. Thanks Freddo for an interesting walk.
I was a bit ridged on my first attempt at this.
Today I decided to soar with the eagles and visit the Chinaman to see what he had to say.
Alas he wasn’t at home but that only spurred me to greater heights.
As I was trudging through the sand I was happy to note that others with hiking boots had passed this way.
At ground zero the first place I looked was the hide location pity I didn’t see it.
You could say I missed it by that much (Well if I had looked to the right a foot I would have got it.). This type of hide is my evil nemesis and today was no different.
Spent an hour going round and round in an ever bigger circle.
Finally went to stupid brain meltdown mode where you believe the person who set up the cache doesn’t know how to take a waypoint so you aimlessly walk around looking for a likely cache location.
When I snapped out of it I went into advanced search mode which very quickly yielded a result.
Of course it was exactly where the cache notes said it would be.
Took nothing but left a keyring.
Love your work.
3 cheers for Freddo Hip Hip Hooray.

I am new to this fun game! only just got a GPS. These ref points took me to Adelaide University and I found nothing. Am I thick or perhaps I do not quite understand??
Went for a walk with Skippy this afternoon.
However we picked a bad entry point.
I think you could say we were a ridge too far away.
Skippy managed some other caches that had him huffing and puffing.
We enjoyed the views but would have prefered to see the cache.

Not knowing this area at all we came in from the top on the wrong track. I did 2 other caches but never had time to this one. we will be back .
I cannot say that it was the first place I looked because I looked at a place about 80m away yesterday. Today though it was the first place I looked but decided to look elsewhere until I came back to the same place. Great walk and views. Both times.

YeHaaa!!!!
0900 hrs and I am no longer curious.
Didn't even get wet feet while retrieving the cache.
- a reminder of the amphibian & TB
+ a stopwatch, some smileys & a TB
Thanks again for another fun cache freddo and off course thanks to the old state co. for showing me the way!

I believe that I must have been in the right area. Is there a few missing numbers that I didn't sort out? I wonder if you could drive here if you had the right permissions. Fresh tracks had me wondering.
Nice day for a walk anyway. Back to the drawing board.
